I had a headlight out on my truck and they asked me if I needed help to put it in,,,,,Thanks to Jason and the good guy who waited on me, they put my headlight in for me! Bought a battery just now. Was being helped by a nice person. Then who I'm guessing is the manager got involved and refused to help me install it because it had a little corrosion on the terminal. The guy had the worst attitude. Then told me I could borrow tools and disappeared for 20 min. I had to ask someone else. They watched me change the battery in 111 degree heat, no help. Lazy and rude. I have been a customer of this store for almost 20 years but as of today I will get my oil and filters from Walmart, parts from the dealerships. All what I needed was an oil filter for our 2013 Honda Odyssey. This was the conversation with the employee (I am not allowed to mention his name per Yelp's TOCs): employee: "Next one in line" "What do you need ?" at this point I saw that the guy turned his head away from me listening to someone else behind the counter, so I waited until he would look at me again, assuming that at this point he would give me his attention me: "An oil filter for a 2013 Honda Odyssey" employee: "What kind of vehicle ?" me: "Honda Odyssey" employee: "Which year ?" me: "2013" employee: "transmission filter ?" me: "No, oil filter, why do I have to repeat everything, you should focus on the customer when he tells you what he needs" employee: "I am not going to sell you the filter, I want you to leave the store" me: "So, you don't like it when someone criticizes you ? Could I talk to your manager ?" assistant manager: "there was nothing wrong with him telling you to leave the store because you insulted him with your question 'Why do I have to repeat everything?' So what do you need ?" me: "An oil filter for a 2013 Honda Odyssey" assistant manager: "what brand ?" me: "It doesn't matter, the cheapest one" Assistant manager walks to the back of the store while I look at the prices on the monitor. I see that the STP filter is $ 4.99 Assistant manager rings up a FRAM filter for $ 8.99 me: "I saw that the STP is $ 4.99, I asked for the cheapest one" assistant manager: "Oh, sorry, I didn't see that" So, if the management of this store believes that it is an unacceptable burden for their employees to memorize 3 things for 10 seconds, (model, year, item) and if they believe that it is the right thing to tell customers, who express their dissatisfaction, to leave the store, I will not buy anything from them any longer. I don't care to pay a few bucks more for parts at the dealership and Walmart also sells oil, oil filters or Armor All. Obviously this store expects customers to be submissive and if not, they get kicked out. read more

Thank you SO much to the manager here (who happened to be the one helping me)! I came in rather frustrated my windshield wipers were literally falling apart after the tech at the shop where my oil was changed failed to run the full safety check & sent me on my way with failing wipers... as soon as the rain storms set in HEAVY this month. Me, not being mechanically inclined & feeling like automobiles in their very enhanced stages these days is like signing up for an advanced trig class- you can say I felt a little overwhelmed & unhappy with the situation. Not being able to see out of your windshield when a sudden storm hits is horrible on the freeway!! So, I made an emergency stop in here on my way home & am SO glad I did! I know better than to attempt this on my own. No matter HOW simple wipers seem... guaranteed I would screw it up worse. And I wasn't wrong! There are only a million different brands & sizes to choose from. So, I opted to go straight to the counter & ask for help. And while the gentleman seemed a little "cold" (his customer service demeanor isn't what I'd call superb), he knew exactly what he was doing. And sometimes, a "man of little words" is the best! What I truly appreciate: he looked it all up on my make/model info, then took the time to walk me over to select. I asked if he recommended the more expensive Rain-X brand, but surprisingly was very honest & told me the mid-range would be just as good & perfectly suitable for the climate here & my needs. So I didn't feel pressured to spend more or guess about what I was spending on. To put the cherry on top- he gladly walked out & had the new ones installed in less than 5 minutes! And this was during rush hour on a Monday evening. I am SO thankful for the genuine help. The entire visit took less than 15 minutes. I definitely recommend this location & the manager here may not have the most "sparkly" personality, but he is VERY good at his job! Even overhearing another question/conversation with a different customer- he knows his stuff & also gave them sound advice before they were about to spend on something not totally necessary. Buy all my parts from AutoZone especially my batteries. Whenever I have taken my 2006 Chevy diesel in to the Show Low AZ store they have disconnected and reconnected the batteries as a part of the test. Started having some battery problems so I went to the Apache Junction Store. When they waited on me there were no other customers in the store. The clerk assigned to assist me was surely and made it plain that he did not want to assist. When I told him that it was a dual battery system he refused to test the batteries. Informed me that I had to disconnect and remove the batteries. Attitude and lack of service is not what I expect from Auto Zone. read more

One night the manager was on his way out the door to go home he stopped to help with the situation to make sure we were being taken care of. Stopped in for a turn signal bulb for my Honda Accord. Staff was very friendly and professional. After seeing me struggle in the parking lot for a minute, the gentleman at the counter came outside and helped me get the bulb installed. Back on the road in no time flat!
