I am incredibly grateful to Sun Devil Auto for taking such wonderful care of my son, Aiden, while he was in Arizona--far away from home here in Wisconsin. Everyone was kind, the prices were very reasonable, and the customer service was outstanding! A huge shout-out to Des for clearly explaining everything, getting the work done quickly, and making sure Aiden could safely get back on the road. Knowing my son was in such good hands meant more to this mom than you'll ever know. Thank you so much! **Queen Creek Rd-Gilbert,AZ location read more

I called 2 times during the hours they first opened they were nice and wanted me to come in. I have a bad battery and alternator so my car wasn't going to make it far. I drove over right after i called. My car ended up breaking down, it wouldn't turn over and the steering wheel was locked. I was in the plaza one store over when that occurred and sun devil auto refused to come help jump my car or help service it because they were too busy. Even though they were close enough to physically see my car. That was during the third phone call. I called brakes plus after that which is right next to sun devil auto they jumped my car drove it over to their shop and helped me out immediately. read more

This was probably my last visit here. I've been coming to Sun Devil for a while, but after my last few experiences, I think it's time to move on. The guy at the counter on Saturday was flat out rude. I understand nobody loves working weekends, but that's not something a paying customer should have to deal with. The bigger issue is the work itself. I brought my wife's car in for a simple oil change and when I got home it was leaking oil. That had never happened before. A few days later the check engine light came on. Two issues back to back on a car that had none before that visit. Another time I brought my truck in and had to turn around and come back 30 minutes later. And now, less than a week after my most recent visit, the check engine light just came on my truck. Every time I bring a vehicle here, something follows me home. Convenience is not worth the stress anymore. Hoping this review helps others make an informed decision. read more

My daughter's car broke down across the street. They were able to diagnose the problem and get her back on the road in a couple days, after the part arrived (broke down on a Friday night so no surprise it took time to get it over a weekend). read more

Mike, Dez and the team at Sundevil Auto Gilbert (Near Higley and Chandler Heights) have consistently been a fantastic auto shop for all my vehicles. They're always fair, upfront, and transparent about what needs to be done... and what doesn't. The team goes the extra mile to diagnose and solve any issue I bring their way, and they communicate clearly so I always know what to expect. It's rare to find an auto shop you can fully trust, but Sundevil Auto has earned that trust every time. Highly recommend! read more

Solid auto experience. The prices are better than the dealership, their customer service is good. I feel taken care of when I am there. The price is in comparison to other auto centers are in the same ballpark. They're not super low or super high. They are able to handle a wide variety of vehicles and are good about finding space to get you in. read more

Late Friday afternoon, I accidentally dropped the coolant cover and it fell to the bottom of the under car shield. They opened the shield and recovered the cover in 10 minutes. The entire staff was friendly and professional. I will definitely bring all my business to Sun Devil Auto. read more

You know how great a service is when they make a wrong a right. They accidentally punctured my tire but Mike right away got me taken care of. Amazing service in resolving a problem and making it easy. read more

Always quick and in and out service. I come regularly for oil changes and such. Lots of coupon mailers as well.

Would not recommend, don't tell you price of things before dropping off your car, try to run up the tab as much as possible. Scamming at its finest. $100 for an oil change. $85 for a part that cost $25 at autozone read more

I took my vehicle in for an oil change and that all seem to go right service was good. Nothing wrong there. Decided to go ahead and schedule the transmission. Get the filter and fluid changed out. I Set up an appointment for 7am and made it clear I would be waiting for the vehicle. They didn't give any indication that would be a problem. When I got there for the appointment they informed me their techs weren't even here yet and the part they need to do the transmission filter was not there either. And apparently they keep the truck for the day because they don't schedule appointments for transmission work . I planned my workday so I would be done by 10 at the latest. I was not happy about this and made it quite clear to them. The service counter employee asked me to leave because he could tell I was upset. so I did and I will never be back. I called their corporate office and nobody bothered to call me back either. Follow up: manager contacted me and apologized for what happened. He was extremely helpful and asked me to give them a second chance. I did and everything went great. They will be getting my business in the future. Very professional. These things sometimes happen but they made it right read more

I had NO idea how to find a new mechanic when we moved out here... we were selling a vehicle and the buyer requested we get it checked out at their mechanic. We had just had the car fully serviced so i thought it would be a good "test" to see what they said. And they said the car was in great shape and needed no work! We have been going here for the past 2 years and nothing but good experiences now. read more

Woke up on my day off and had a flat tire and figured my day was shot. Got the car over to Sun Devil Auto, Mike and his guys were the best. Replaced the front left, diagnosed that the front right wasn't far behind and the reason was probably the alignment. Took care of all of it. No BS, no upsell, just genuine concern and professionalism. Highly recommend. read more

Brought my 2009 Camry to this shop with a check engine light, prior to I had connected my scanner and gave me a code P0356 (ignition coil F primary secondary circuit) so I was already aware that cilíndrelo 6 coil needed to be replaced. I arrive at the shop at 7:00 am an a very rude representative by the name of Marcus with a bad attitude told me I don't know what I am talking about that the code my scanner was reading was for something else. I related my daughter drives drives the vehicle and I will appreciate if I get the vehicle back by noon. A few hours later call me and related what I already knew. Marcus related it will cost me $285 for the coil alone told me it is a Denso brand OEM. Since he knew I really needed the vehicle as it belongs to my daughter she goes to school in Flagstaff and she needed the vehicle asap. I gave him the green light, only to find out that the same part cost is less than $100. What a disappointment when Marcus called back stating there is another fault (code P0354) which is the same fault as before but for coil cylinder 4, To add insult to injurie Marcus related that it will be $199 just to troubleshoot the fault. I have dealt with this shop before after this experience I will never go back and will NOT RECOMMEND this shop to anyone. read more

Mike and the guys were super helpful and accommodating. Brought my car in for an oil change and tire rotation as a new neighbor in town. Everyone had great attitudes jamming to music and were very thorough with my vehicle. Price wasn't too bad either. Definitely tell your friends and family read more

Sun Devil Auto made sure to take care of me and made sure I was completely satisfied with the repair of my jeep renegade. I was hearing a grinding noise down by the clutch when I would push the clutch in to shift and when I took it to Sun Devil Auto, they first replaced my clutch saying it looked terrible and needed replacing. I got the car back and but I was hearing the same grinding noise. I had just paid more money than I had to replace the clutch and now it was going to cost more. Sun Devil Auto made sure they found the actual issue and didn't charge me any more to fix it. Turns out the engine mount or engine block needed replacing and that fixed it. I was happy that they fixed it and only charged me for the clutch service cause I easily could've paid a lot more had they charged me for the second service. Because of this, I recommend Sun Devil Auto. read more

This Sun Devil Auto location has the absolute BEST service! They are so friendly and today I even received a follow up call to ask if everything was well with my car after the service they did. They are responsive and communicative and don't try to push you to pay for something that doesn't need to be done. read more

Really bad service and deceptive practices, they ripped my girl off and refused to address or reimburse. She took her car to another auto shop after she left and her car died and had to ask for a jump. Apparently it was just just a battery issue which would have been no problem if this auto shop had not left her in the heat with no fixes to any issues in the car. The next auto shop she took it to said the hood had not been opened recently, she was charged for a bunch of things without getting the simple fix she needed, babes do not trust this shop! Go somewhere you can actually rely on thank you read more

If I could give this place negative stars I would. I've given them a few chances with three different vehicles, but every experience has been bad. The location is very convenient, but the staff has been incredibly rude and I'm convinced they pull problems out of nowhere to up charge. First off, I do much of my own work, so I only go there for alignments because I don't have the equipment to do it myself. At the first mention of me doing the work myself, they talk down to me. They claim that my vehicles may never hold alignment because of my work. That's beyond rude. I had to return the first vehicle I had aligned 3 times until it rode better than it did before. The second vehicle had to be taken back a second time because of a crooked steering wheel (it was straight when I dropped it off). They also claimed my ball joints and control arms were worn out, despite having literally less than 20 miles on them. For the third, the alignment was spot on before I installed a 2" lift (done right w/ball joint spacers, diff drop, etc). Now they claim it'll take a minimum of $1700 worth of parts and labor to get it to maintain an alignment. I called bull and refused to have them do anything. My family and friends already knows to avoid Sun Devil Auto, I suggest you do, too. Edit: One week later, I've inspected everything that Sun Devil Auto said was wrong on my vehicle and had a second shop give their opinion, and there's nothing wrong. I'm not convinced they even put my vehicle on the lift. Complete BS. read more

Just left Sun Devil auto. I made an appointment a week ago for 4:30 PM to do an oil change. My email said they were going to send me another email confirming my time, which they never did. So I still came in to see if they could squeeze me in at 4:30 PM. The man at the front desk told me no it's too late in the day to get an oil change. Well then why did you have that option online? read more

This review is long over due. Mike and his team are amazing! After taking my car into the dealership and waiting a whole week to get a diagnosis for my AC. The dealership quoted me $3,000 to fix it. Sun Devil fixed for a way better price and gave me a warranty on their work. Thank you guys again! read more

The guys got my car fixed sooner than I had expected which was amazing but the point of my review is to give a special thanks to them for helping me. I have been having some pretty bad luck lately and I dropped my key in the gutter as soon as I walked out of the shop. Which in turn I completely lost it (not directed at anyone but just in general) because I was upset. The guys from the shop then went out of their way to show me kindness and helped me, which is something I haven't really been getting lately. I just wanted to tell you guys I am so thankful for your human decency. More than you know or could imagine. I would definitely recommend them and think they were awesome! read more

I really appreciate the service I get from Sun Devil Auto service. I believe they are honest and straight forward. They work efficiently and communicate every step. Cost is what you would expect. I called Sun Devil Auto this morning with an complete understanding of my Jeep's Need, A tightened screw on my sway bar. I told them what the request was and they said, "come in in twenties minutes." Though the place was packed as normal, Mike had Lane come out and adjust the screw immediately and even added two Cottle pins to secure it when one broke as he was adjusting it (which could have been a HUGE problem). I went it after he was done to ask how much, and they smiled and said "no charge." As a business owner I know the value of a helping hand and so I had to write a review. Thanks Mike and team down at Sun Devil Auto! read more

We have plenty of choices when it comes to automotive repair. We don't use this Sun Devil repair place, we use the Sun Devil on Riggs Rd for minor stuff and oil changes but when my car literally broke down right in front of the Higley Rd shop I went ahead and used them!! HUGE MISTAKE!! They jack the parts pricing through the roof. I literally called the dealership for pricing so I had an idea of cost. ‍‍‍ Then I get the bill....totally blatant robbery. Stay away from this shop, like I said we have many choices. I'll pay to tow my car next time. read more

Needed my AC repaired and they were able to do it quick and fast, everything is blowing much cooler now. They're not the cheapest option, but they are well established and fairly reliable in terms of pricing. A good alternative if you don't want to pay the premium at the dealership, but they are still on the higher side in comparison to other garages and mechanics. Still decent experience and good customer service. read more

Had taken my car for a leaky hose in my truck. The bottom hose of the radiator was old and needed to be replaced. I told them just to replace both top and bottom and a third one. Initial quote was twice that as the dealership. Called them and they stated, sorry I just tripled the labor when it should have been just once. Fine, easy mistake. Since I live near by and my truck has custom wheels, I told them I can take the truck home. They said it's fine, we will park it inside garage. This was Saturday morning and when I drove by place Sunday night, truck is parked outside. Wish they would have either did what they told me they would do or call me to take my truck home. There was a coupon in the mail I tried to use and they said no because they already gave me discount by taking the "three labor charges off'," a mistake their end. They fixed everything fine and my truck didn't get broken into but won't be back. I used them a couple of years ago and never had issues like this. read more

Took my car in to get it looked at! Turns out my alternator needs to be to be replaced, which I knew ! I got quoted $1100+ !!!!
