Customer service is the best! I came in looking for a few detail items for my lexus. And I left amazed and grateful for the customer service I received from Joey. He replaced the light, which would have been difficult for me. Also, I told him I wanted to upgrade the look of my car, on a budget, so he suggested a few items. Huge shoutout to Isaac and Sara at the Broadway AutoZone! My turn signal bulb was completely stuck inside the plastic housing, and I was about ready to pay someone just to get it out. Isaac came out to help and didn't give up -- he kept trying over and over until he finally got it loose using his claw tool. He's the man! Big thanks to Sara as well she let me exchange the bulb I had bought earlier even without a receipt. That kind of customer service is rare these days. Oh man this place. Went in because my check engine light came on, and I saw the sign on the glass that says they'd check it for free. So I walk in, and it's about seven, and dark out. I had no idea, but I suppose it only makes sense that employees can't do this when it's dark. I did not know that when I walked up to the employee behind the counter, who as soon as I get "... check engine light" out, he snaps about how it's dark and there's no way he's going out there. Then proceeds to just stare at me. So I then ask him an half answered question about something else, and leave saying I'll come back when it's light out. Cut to the next morning. It's about 9:15am when I go inside. Same two employees (the other just messed around in the back and only came out to answer a quarter of my half answered question). Snappy McScared of the dark was putting up displays outside, and the other guy was helping a customer. Snappy didn't acknowledge I was there, as I waited for about 10 minutes, no big deal at all, I'm an adult. Once the other customer was gone I told the guy behind the counter that my light came on and if they'd look at it. The guy just sorta looks at me, and then towards outside and said that Snappy's outside and that he's the only one in-store, so I'd have to wait a few minutes. I said that would be okay, so I perused the aisles looking at car crap, and as I'm doing this, the guy walks outside, and tells me he's doing so to check on something. That something was not my engine light. So after a few more minutes I hear conversation, and perk up and hear "well, we've gotta check that young man's check engine light" followed by a deep sign, and me walking up to the counter to see what's the deal. They complain that it's wet and cold outside. Yep. It's Washington. In March. Finally, they get to asking what kind of car i have, which I went over the night before, and was the only car in the parking lot, parked right in front of the doors, that they've both walked past many times. "A '95 Volkswagen Golf." "What year?" Then they say, "oh no, that's OBD1, and we can only do OBD2. What kind do you have?" I say that I don't know, because I don't. They then talk about computers and that my car is too old to be read and to go to a mechanic. They didn't even open the doors to go look at my car. I go home, research where the computer plug is. I found it, and it's an OBD2. If these employees gave a damn about the people they're serving, giving them the time of day, and doing the things that are plastered on your windows in huge letters would probably be something that happens. These employees concept of customer service is nothing but the punchline of a joke I'm not listening to anymore. Screw this place. read more

Mike L. was a guardian angel!!!! Came in with battery issues and he completely saved my day. His initial recommendation after determining it was a bad battery was to take it to an auto shop as the battery is difficult to access in my car and they don't usually deal with it when it's that difficult. It's almost 100 degrees outside and we couldn't get the battery to start again so I could take it to the auto shop although he gave it 110% to jump it. He ended up changing the battery himself! He didn't have to go out of his way and they easily could have just told me to get a tow. Thank you so much for helping me! read more

Pretty poor customer service here. The review that stated the employees are annoyed by customers is true. There's this weird stand-offish vibe, almost as if they're only helping you because they have to. Sadly, I think it's the manager who is the worst one. I've gone in multiple times to this store, and each time it's a poor experience. The last time, the employee had to look something up on the computer for me, which made him even more agitated. At the end of the transaction, I asked for general engine grease, and he snapped that I don't even need that for a starter. How do you even know what I need it for? They just hate helping customers here. There's one older guy who is pretty nice, but the rest are a waste of time. Go across the street to Oreilly's. Those guys are pretty cool and don't mind helping out. read more

It's really a shame O'Reilly bought out Shuck's. I had been going to Shuck's for over 15 years, but O'Reilly quickly drove me away with repeated incompetence, lack of inventory, lack of knowledge, and just plain lack of customer service. Today my car broke its power steering belt, which took out the alternator belt with it. Driving on diminishing battery power, I was trying to find an Autozone, but I missed it and ended up spotting an O'Reilly first. I though maybe this one would be better than the one in my home town. After helping the counter person find my belt using their own computer, and then spending $45 on their premium belts, they couldn't even come up with a crescent wrench for me to borrow. I ended up finding the Autozone who let me use some tools to install belts I bought somewhere else! Thanks, Autozone! read more

We go to Auto Zone for all of our automotive care, anything that we can accomplish without an auto repair shop anyway. Their employees are great, always trying to do whatever they can to help out and they really do go the extra mile. Today I needed help with a headlight. Their workers aren't allowed to come outside right now, due to the coronavirus, but I got help from someone outside. (it was an employee but he wasn't on the clock yet) In the process, my car decided to lock itself with my purse inside, along with my cell phone in it and the keys. Seriously? And it was freezing out! The employees let me hang out inside to keep warm and even gave me the number of a local tow company (Hanson Towing), which ended up working out way better than my own Car insurance's (State Farm) road side assistance. I was there over 2 hours, with it being freezing cold outside and I didn't wear a coat because I was only running to the store. State Farm had called to say it was going to be another 40 minutes (after the 2 hours in freezing cold I'd already waited). OMG! Anyway, in my long agonizing wait, the only thing I could do was watch (totally observe) what was going on inside Auto Zone and their employees were AWESOME! They are so helpful and totally give the extra advise for whatever someone is working on and goes into their store to buy! They had no idea I was just checking them out. Of course I had nothing better to do but I saw it customer after customer and now I'm telling you...if you need ANYTHING automotive-wise, this is the store to go to!!! read more

The employees at this store are completely illiterate. They gave us $150 worth of wrong parts, we should have checked before we left the store but it isn't rocket science to type in the part and grab it from the back. They have very poor customer service skills and I definitely will be going to Oreily's from now on. read more
