Title integrity does not apply at this shop! Hands down the most unprofessional shop I've ever encountered. I inquired about getting my exhaust repaired on my truck and I'm told by the manager that they are booked solid for months. There hasn't been one day in 10 years that they have had more than 2 customers vehicles in the shop. obviously the owner has his vehicles in there, but never a full shop. 2nd encounter....I ask for an estimate to get full exhaust replaced on my other car, same answer. Might I add, the representative of Everett pro muffler n Brake is not friendly nor courteous in the slightest. last interaction was indeed the last. I requested an exhaust system quote on a stock vehicle and was told they only do custom exhaust. All interactions were in person and not over the phone. I do not recommend this shop in any way. I was treated poorly and disrespectfully. read more

A week ago... A catalyst converter was stolen from my SUV while is was parked in a huge shopping center parking garage with a camera behind the slot. An home owner insurance and auto insurance has its limited amount of coverage of the loss. Any certified mechanic shops quoted $2000-$6000... A friend of mine recommended me to go to Pro Mufflers (EVT) and see what this guy can say and have a look. So this guy, Steve did and told me-- $450. I thought he was kidding. It was just a small thing he can do unlike other ASE mechanic shops would not do. I decided to let him go ahead and about his work. He said 40 minutes.. The appointment he set for me to come in just few days. And on that day... i turned it in and let him go ahead with his processing... Boom! It was less than 40 minutes. What a world record and seeing is believing!!! Yes he was serious that he got it done! He made sure that my SUV would not be as loud as Hot Rod out of Tokyo. Went over a curb and did something to my muffler. Made an appointment for Tuesday, or so I thought. Brought the car in on Tuesday, and Steve said, "The appointment is for Wednesday, but I'll look at it now." I had knocked the muffler out of position. Steve fixed it in 10 minutes, while I waited. Steve is rated the best muffler and brakes shop here in Everett and was the only guy that would pick up the phone! My E39 M5 had cracks around the O2 sensor bungs and leaking joints from work that an incompetent shop performed. He welded in new O2 bungs that the M5 is prone to cracking and new pipes to fix the leak. Thanks to Steve, now my S62 sounds the way it should! read more

Reasons you should get exhaust work done here: 1) People drive down from Canada just to go to this shop 2) Steve is super-chill. There's no way he drinks any sort of caffeinated beverage 3) There are awesome reviews from multiple sources I came up with the bright idea to put Mustang GT mufflers on my Lexus GS400 (V8). You may scoff at that idea, but they would've sounded great, I promise. One minor issue, I miscalculated the width by .5". Steve put the car up on the lift and pointed this out to me as my 4 and 6 year old looked on. If he welded these in, they would be smashed against the heat shields. No can do. Hmmm, what to do? I came here to put the Lexus sound engineers to shame by reversing all of their sound-deadening ideas for this V8 beast, who's demographic was most certainly 60-something year-old males and older who took testosterone pills, back in 1998. So I started looking at other ideas and pointed at a muffler/resonator after the cats. Yep, let's hack that sucker out. Steve, having just finished a smoke, agreed. $40. Nice! "30 minutes" said Steve as he dragged his giant Miller welder into place. As I headed away to find a Starbucks with the kids, I could hear the sawzall already going to town. This guy doesn't mess around I thought. I came back and the car was already off the lift, backed into the same spot I arrived in. This place is a gem. Fair advice. Fair prices. This place has wonderful service. As a woman and individual doesn't know much about cars I felt respected and given really great service. Steve showed me where there was a problem in my car and was able to fix it in less than an hour. He was affordable, down to earth, and offered fast service. Simply: This is the spot... Les Schwab said I needed new brake drums, they didn't suggest or offer to turn 'em but they did hand me a quote for new brake drums, which are expensive for my truck! Thankfully; I stopped in at Pro-Muffler & Brakes. I told the mechanic I needed new drums & I wanted a quote. He could have just run the numbers but they didn't... They asked if they could take a look first. His inspection noted my drums were indeed in bad shape. However, they didn't try to sell me new drums! They recommended a simple turn of the drums, which is the route I went. I didn't needlessly throw away good brake drums, my brakes are now perfect & I didn't buy something I clearly didn't need! All of which I respect. If you can live without free popcorn, coffee & an expensive show room while your vehicle is being worked on this place is worth going out of your way to patronize. read more

When I was getting an indicator that it was time to get a new muffler, I knew my mechanic wouldn't normally do the replacement on this, so I asked him for his suggestion, and it was Pro Muffler & Brake with no other suggestions. He said that he's sent other people there too and they always share with him they were treated fairly. I was tired of the usual "Lifetime Guarantee" brand and wanted one that would last me for a long time. My car has 300,000 miles on it and still runs like a top (thanks to my mechanic) so it only made sense to get a muffler that would last. I made my appointment and showed up a bit early and drove off not too long after that with a great muffler, for a great value, and equal quality. There were several rattles, squeaks and vibrations at start-up and a new rattle at idle. Naturally I assumed the worst: my 10 year-old, east-coast rusty exhaust surely has finally given up and must be replaced. Upon the recommendation of a friend I went to this shop. He was busy so I made an appointment for a few days out. At my appointed time he pulled it right in, lifted it up, showed me where a couple bolts had failed and an original weld had broke. He fixed both problems in no time and charged me less than a can of WD-40 and a roll of Duck Tape. read more

Called Steve today to schedule a appointment to install my new stainless steel muffler, told me to come down and I agreed. I came half an hour early and he started working on my car! Wanted a meaner muffler installed on my 1993 Celica and this guy delivered! He charged me only 50 dollars to weld the muffler, adapt the sizing of the pipes, and also weld in the hangers! What a deal, have called Buckys, Dan Fast, and other places but they quoted me 90-120 dollars for the same job. I rarely let anyone work on my car other than myself but Steve will take good care of you. If gets the job done without hassle and that's what people want. The shop is located near the Everett Events center and is easy to find. He has a cool AMC Javelin that you can look at while you wait for your car to be done. Overall friendly guy with years Of experience in his line of work I will not hesitate to bring my car back for more work and my other cars as well! I can't speak highly enough about the customer service I received. My brakes were inspected due to previous low brake fluid issue and a squeak. Inspection revealed brakes to be good for another 15k miles. No charge for the inspection even after I said I'd like to pay for the time.
