Asher offered to call AAA for me and he went through all of the prompts for me.These two young men were very helpful, polite and patient with a senior citizen like myself. Then another co-worker who was off duty stopped by the store and was kind enough to offer to give me a jump start and he gave me his time and assistance. All of this took some time and it was a bit chilly outside in the cold but all three of them were still very polite and professional. At the end of the day I was very thankful for all of their help and and support and they made what could have been a very terrible experience a little easier and I felt very much at ease with the how things turned out. They said they couldn't help me with that in the Everett, WA store, and that without the card I couldn't access my credit balance by any other means. They gave me a new card and said to register it online. I've attempted to register the new card, which I've had now for a couple of weeks, and the website says my "membership can't be verified." I signed up for a new account on Autozone.com but there was no place to add my new card number. Apparently the Autozone.com user account and the Autozonerewards user account are two different things? I'm through with Autozone. I hate this sort of runaround! The IRS is easier and simpler to deal with than Autozone's loyalty program. PS: I attempted to enter this comment on their website when cancelling my autozone.com account to clue them in. The site gave an error and said "please enter a valid reason for cancelling your account." I cut the text out and replaced it with "you suck" and it that was apparently acceptable. They must be used to that remark, but aren't capable of receiving constructive criticism. Go to a real auto parts store that doesn't have this mickey mouse gimmick of a "rewards" program.

My personal experience was good with a headlight I needed for a car but horrible with a transmission... Long story short: I bought a 4l60e GM transmission for a customer's van that was missing all but 3 pan bolts and someone had broke off the filter screen. The transmission didn't work after installing the unit and filling it with fluid. After bringing it back to them they dropped it off at a transmission shop and the only thing they could come up with is that I installed the wrong filter kit. When I talked to the manager about the inspection the guy told me that I was going to be responsible for paying for the inspection. Last thing that happened was when dropping the transmission core off with them it took a good 45 minutes to get one of the staff off their ass to come out and fetch it from the back of my truck. They then took another hour to get me my core refund which they first tried to refund me in credit. Seth's final thoughts: Don't remove crucial pieces from parts you sell if you don't want to pay for an inspection later; only to reveal you shouldn't have removed it in the first place.
