I received honest treatment and good service from Jonah at Seapac Auto who was highly recommended by a friend. This was a welcome relief, after having the worst experience of my life at BMW Seattle (PCV recall) and getting the runaround from Precision Motorworks. Like do these mechanics even know what they are doing anymore?! They start with some basic little job and then keep charging you until your whole car is basically brand new. It cost me $500 and 2 weeks of my time for BMW to tell me I need an O2 sensor and the arms to my convertible are "weak". They didn't recommend a anything else I needed with the diagnostic. "Weak" is why the top is sometimes getting stuck and is not closing?! Yeah that's helpful!! Asshats!! 3 weeks after I got my car back from BMW, the serpentine belt snaps and Precision tells me its because there is oil all over it. Really BMW you didn't notice when you were doing you so called "inspection"?! Seapac is in the process of helping me with 100,000 miles service recommendations. I will come back to update you when my car is fixed. So far $250...for a throttle body clean out... BTW be aware that this shop is hard to find. It's in the back behind another building at the bottom of a steep hill. Seems like my car is safe parked back there at least. I brought my car in due to a check engine light. They looked at it briefly said it was just a bad gas cap. Told me I should buy one off ebay. Did so, but the light stayed on. Went through multiple caps since they said to try others when the light didn't go off. Took it into Autozone and they determined it was a bad EGR Vacuum Solenoid. Maybe take the time to do a proper check next time rather then just a glance. Very dissapointing. read more

I have known Jonah and his crew for almost 8 years now and they are the only TRUE professional auto mechanics that I trust. On 2 occasion out of town, both my wife's and my car experience a check engine light that came on the dash board. This is my usual oil change place because the guys there are super sweet to me and even though I am a girl, I never feel like they are taking advantage of me. They're always very fair and quite cheaply priced IMO. And every time i get my oil changed they always give my car a once over to see if there is anything wrong. And there has been once but they didn't try to oversell or push me. I just really love them. They even straight up show you the problem so you can see for yourself and know its a legitimate problem and not a money maker. Yeah, highly recommended. They were open late enough that I could get my car to them before they closed and it was done the next afternoon. Their service was efficient, and was within what I was willing to pay given the problem I was experiencing with my car. My interpersonal interactions with the people who worked there were a bit rough, as all the people I spoke with were very short with me. Wow. My family and I have been so impressed by Jonah and his team at Seapac Autos. We originally found this hidden gem by many people's recommendations. We have seen a lot of car shops as we have been traveling across the country for the past several years. It has been a rare breath of fresh air to find transparent, knowledgable, and honest mechanics like these. It comes as a HUGE relief to not have to deal with the smoke and mirrors. I can say without a doubt that I did not once ever feel like someone was trying to sell me a bridge in Brooklyn when I had my car serviced there recently. They did an excellent and fast job at fixing whatever my car needed and also helping me to understand why and what they were doing. We don't live in Washington but visit the State about once or twice a year. We will make it a point now to try to make the drive here to take our vehicle(s) to people that we trust. My Acura extended warranty expired and there was noise coming from my AC compressor. They fixed it quick without drama. The price is not the cheapest but as long as I can avoid dealership which usually upsell or recommend unnecessary maintenance packages, I am happy.
