After having our Outback towed to their shop, George helped us throughout the entire process of diagnosing the problem and communicating with us every step of the way. We were shocked to hear from this team that our recent service visit to our dealership did not address our car issue, and charged us a huge premium to have other aspects of the car fixed. Bret's Auto Repair team clearly stated the main issues with the car, and were very transparent about the costs. We were already pleased with this experience. The following day after taking our car home, we encountered another issue that was unrelated to our previous issue that their team fixed. We contacted Bret''s Auto Repair team again and they were extremely accomodating, offering to check out the car again, and finding that there was another issue related to the battery that the dealership did not address at the last service. They then kept our car to work on it, and charged us extremely fair for our troubles. We couldn't be more thankful for Bret's Auto Repair for providing the best care for our vehicle and customer service. I'd advise anyone to check out Bret's Auto Repair for any issues regarding their Subarus before going to their dealership! They will be upfront and transparent, as well as communicate with you the whole way through!

Unfortunately, our last two experiences have been very disappointing. Most recently, I dropped my car off at 8:00 AM to have a front-end suspension issue diagnosed. By 2:45 PM, I had still not received any update, so I called to check on the status. The employee I spoke with seemed unsure of what was going on and told me he needed to check on something. He said he would have more information within an hour and would call me back, but I never received a call. Later, when my father called, we were told that the car had received an oil change, even though we had never requested one. However, when I arrived at the shop, I was then told that no oil change had actually been performed. The conflicting information only added to the confusion and made it difficult to have confidence in the service being provided. This follows another disappointing visit where we were given a repair estimate, but when it came time to pay, the bill was hundreds of dollars higher because a brake job had been left out of the original quote. What makes this especially frustrating is that we have trusted this shop for decades. My father has been a customer since the 1970s, and we continued bringing our vehicles there because of that trust. Unfortunately, the lack of communication, conflicting information, and inaccurate estimates during our last two visits have left us very disappointed.

Mark at F&F did a great job! He traced the leak to the water pump and through the course of repair found both the idler pulleys had a fair amount of putting, this in turn was causing belt wear. Since the jeep is 30 years old, those pulleys are no longer made, Mark was able to smooth them out and hopefully extend their lifespan. He also had to deal with 2 broken bolts on the water pump. It turned out the skid plate had detached a bit, so the fix was as simple as reattaching it to the car so it didn't scrape against anything. Not only was it a quick fix (about six hours from drop off to pick up), but they didn't even charge the usual diagnostic fee, saying they wouldn't feel right charging it given how easy it was to find and fix the issue. So total cost was about $68. Quick service with a reasonable cost and honest approach? We'll be back again!

Understandably worried, I found this shop through reviews and stopped by to ask if they could take a look. Roy, the owner, was genuinely personable from the moment I walked in and agreed to diagnose the problem. A few hours after dropping off my car, I received a call with good news -- there was no oil pan leak and no crack in the engine block. But what really set this shop apart was what came next: Roy sent me a video of the undercarriage so I could see the condition for myself. No guesswork, no upselling, just straight answers backed by visual proof. In a world where it's easy to take advantage of a worried customer, Roy and his team chose integrity instead. That says everything about the kind of shop this is. If you're looking for an auto care shop you can actually trust, look no further. I highly recommend Japanese Auto Care without reservation.
