I had a leak in my (fairly new) Ford Fusion. The Ford dealer said they don't do that work and referred me to Waterleak Techniques (WT). I called WT and Aaron said he had some experience with this problem and could get me in the following Monday. He cleaned out some things to do with my sun roof. Then he put the car in "the shower" for five hours. He couldn't get it to leak again. Originally, he'd said there'd be a charge for him to look at it and that charge would be applied to any work he did. My Suzuki has had a leaky sunroof for quite awhile. I procrastinated and procrastinated because I 'just knew' it was going be a stab to the gut to get it fixed. My Honda Pilot was leaking water onto the driver side floor. I tried to self-diagnose but couldn't figure out what was going on. I brought my car to Aaron's shop (and was able to drop off & pick up outside of business hours to befit my schedule). Called multiple times for a few days straight. Nobody ever answered or returned any of my messages.

My '99 Jetta had sprung a leak and after spending hours trying to figure out where it was coming from, I gave up. I brought it in to the VW dealership who wanted to charge me 1.5 hours to "diagnose" at $105/hour. No thanks. A friend recommended Aaron at Waterleak Techniques and he was able to get me in the next day. Aaron specializes in finding leaks. My friend had his leak identified and repaired by Aaron a few years ago for around $120. I was hopeful that my repair would be similar in price. Aaron said he would charge a nominal amount to diagnose my car (it was under $50). He called the next day and said he was able to find the leak but that he wouldn't be able to repair it - he doesn't work much with VWs and suggested I take the car back to the body shop where I had work done a year ago. I went to pick my car up and was surprised at how low-tech his system is. He has a shower hooked up to a hose and he sets this up over your car after removing door panels, seats, whatever is necessary and then waits for the water to come through. I picked my car up and Aaron said I was all set - no charge. No charge! I mean come on. Who does that anymore? I ended up bringing my car back to the body shop who was able to confirm the leak and do the repair for much less than I was going to pay at the dealership. So soggy Seattleites if you have mildew in your car after a rainy day, its worth the drive to Lynnwood to have Aaron find your leak! Aaron and his father with run a nice small shop and are very honest and polite. 2 things I like very much in a business! My 1st time with them, I took my 95 prelude to them and they fixed the water leaks in just a couple of days and guaranteed the work. I was happy with the price and the speed of the work they did. They are very efficient with smaller cars like that, but if you bring them a tank like an old 86 Mercedes. Which was my 2nd go. It did not turn out as I hoped. In the end they sadly couldn't fix it. In total fairness towards them, I was told in advance, that kind of car might be outside of what they are used to working on, but they tried and did their best and thats all anyone can ask for. However, they did find the leaks on it and there was more than I was aware of. So even though they made the attempt. They didn't charge me for that since they could not fix it. So I can't really complain about that :) That's just proper etiquette that all businesses should follow and plus that shows respect towards the customer. My thanks and appreciation goes to them for giving it their best shot! I just wish I did not have to take it to the mercedes dealership now as a last resort to get it fixed $$$$. Oh well. So if you have a small car or maybe any car that doesn't fit the description of my "tank" LOL. I would highly recommend giving these guys a try. fast, friendly, courteous and honest. Probably the best I've ever felt about a car repair or maintenance experience, and I echo the other reviews. I was first referred to a shop in Everett that handled water leaks and was told a guy comes in once a week, no openings for 3-4 weeks, and initial charge just for diagnosis was around $150, before any repair. Similar quote from Nissan dealer, but without the wait. Both reported total would almost certainly be $400+. Then I found WT, diagnosis $68. My total with tax came to $204...with lifetime guarantee! I only had to wait a few days till after Xmas weekend. Aaron was personable and an honest man providing a needed service for an honest dollar, in an industry not known for such.
