One of my car tires went low on its air pressure very quickly despite filling it to the recommended pressure psi. I suspected a tire puncture. I went to a different service center on the day before coming here but they asked me to leave the car with them for the day. I didn't take them up on that and came to Harvey's. Only 2 or 3 people were working on Saturday yet they took my car and fixed the puncture immediately. It was all done within 20 mins or so. They have a waiting room with a couch where I could just chill until they were done fixing my tire. My only displeasure is they could have told me about the extra charge that I would incur by paying with my card ahead of time which I could have avoided by paying them with cash. However, that isn't enough to deprive them of a star.

I expect this will be my last trip into Firestone. I've been getting my oil changed here for a…read morecouple years and have simply ignored their other service recommendations. This last visit was just too much for me to keep that up. I came in for an oil change. They recommended tires, which were needed (I got a better tire elsewhere for less), but what absolutely blew me away was their recommendation for a new engine air filter. I'd replaced it less than a month earlier. They even included a helpful picture of a fairly dirty filter on top of my battery - only problem is that wasn't my filter. I just checked (and took my own pic) over a month after my visit and mine still looks great. Air filters are one of the easiest things to replace, typically requiring no tools, making them one of the fastest ways for shops to make money. This is one of the most basic tests for how honest a shop is. Sorry Firestone, you couldn't have failed harder. They also recommended replacing portions of my suspension (verbally, not detailed on the "Courtesy Check") so I brought my car into my mechanic. My suspension is fine (huh, whoever snuck into my garage and replaced the air filter must have also worked on the suspension), but it turns out that the oil pan gasket and filter are badly leaking. After a month of driving, the oil was already fairly sludgy simply because of buildup in the oil pan (assuming it was fresh when they put it in). In other words, even the service that was performed had to be redone. Sure, it costs a bit more to have your oil changed at a shop that uses ASE certified mechanics but this is a good reminder to me why it's worth it.

Facing a seven-hour drive, we figured we had better get it fixed. The Ballard shop was too busy, and their manager less than helpful. We did some googling, and found Bellevue was on our route. Great people, safe neighborhood, clean facility. We would not hesitate to recommend this Les Schwab location. Thanks again gentlemen!

I brought my car in for shocks and struts with no warning lights on the dashboard. They performed the work incorrectly and broke the electric power steering (EPS) torque sensor. What should have been a routine service became an expensive nightmare. They kept my car for three days without clearly communicating the severity of the damage. They also replaced an axle without asking for my authorization or even notifying me until afterward. This is my vehicle and my money. Approval is not optional. They then drove my car to the Honda dealership with a damaged steering system. It should have been towed. Their judgment throughout this experience was appalling. Staff at the Honda dealership told me this was not the first time they had seen vehicles from this shop with problems. They told me the employees were not mechanics and advised me against taking my car there. When the manager called at 6:30 p.m., he apologized for calling late because he had "a bad day." His bad day was hardly my concern while I was facing thousands of dollars in repairs and a car that still needed the original work redone. I paid for a repair--not damage, unauthorized work, and excuses. The workmanship, communication, and handling of my vehicle were unacceptable. I would never trust this shop with my car again.

Eventually Byron's son Doug got involved. Byron finally got fed-up with the Seattle traffic and opened a second shop in Bellevue while Doug running the Boren location. I followed Byron to Bellevue for the same reason as Byron. Doug continues to run Boren with the same quality and professionalism as Byron and Ray. Eventually Byron retired and now Brandon runs Bellevue. Again, the shop is still top-notch. You'd never know Byron wasn't there, except there's a different face greeting you when you come in. Tru-Line is, and always has been, and excellent choice for anything chassis related. Their quality and range of knowledge is outstanding and as we all know, that's a very rare thing in today's world. They were able to fit me in the very same day and even provided a specific appointment time. When I arrived a few minutes early, they took my vehicle in before my scheduled appointment, which I really appreciated. The service was quick, professional, and they successfully patched the tire. Since the repair, my tire pressure warning light has not come back on. The staff provided excellent customer service and had great bedside manners throughout the entire process. What impressed me most was their honesty and integrity. Before visiting Tru-Line, another business told me the issue wasn't the tire and claimed I needed to replace the tire pressure sensor instead. I'm glad I trusted my intuition and got a second opinion. Tru-Line correctly identified the problem, repaired the tire, and saved me from an unnecessary sensor replacement. Highly recommend TruLine for their professionalism, integrity, and outstanding customer service.
