One of the most annoying things to experience here is when you're waiting in line, having scheduled an appointment online, and one of the guys behind the keyboards is flirting with a woman who is getting her tires replaced, as if they are on some kind of first date. Listen, we get it, AN ATTRACTIVE WOMAN IS IN THE BUILDING. OMG! SHE IS BEAUTIFUL AND TALKING TO YOU. LOSE YOUR COMPOSURE AND TELL HER HOW IMPRESSED YOU ARE THAT SHE USED YOUR WEBSITE! Yeah, yeah. Just because the men in the room aren't attractive women doesn't mean we deserve to wait even longer for help as you flirt. Also doesn't mean you put on a completely different face to help us. You can be friendly with men as well. We might not make you feel as if you are vibing with a hot woman, but that doesn't mean we can't have a normal, pleasant, professional, human conversation without feeling like a burden to you. On the plus side, the guy from the bays who came in to the waiting room to explain what happened to my tire was professional and didn't treat me like a disappointment. He was professional. I am extremely disappointed with the service at this location. I came in to replace a blown tire. They told me they could take care of it and that the wait would be around 2 hours. I paid $162 upfront for the tire and insurance. I left and came back 2 hours later, but the car wasn't ready. When I asked, they kept pushing the time back. Finally, after waiting for 3.5 hours, they told me they couldn't service my car because "it was by appointment only" and that I would have to wait until 6:30 PM. Why make me pay and waste 3.5 hours of my day if you knew you couldn't take me? Absolute lack of respect for customers' time. I cancelled my order and left. I took my car in to have new wheels and tires installed. I had an 11:15 appointment but I was in the area so I stopped by at 9:30. Not only did they take me right in, but they were finished in about 30 minutes. It was like watching a NASCAR pit crew. I called about tires I seen on their website just like I did for Firestone, but the results here were much different. Customer service here was way better. The price quoted on the website was the same as what the customer service person told me what I would pay for. He didn't try to talk over me or tell me what I was or wasn't seeing on the website. I have 4 vehicles, not all driven by me, but I am the one to make most of the purchases for those vehicles. I've gone to discount tire many times, and have not been disappointed with them ever. When you have a bad experience with a business like Firestone, you don't want to make assumptions that all Firestone locations would be the same, but then you have another bad experience at a different store. Then you tend to stay away from other locations of the same business name. Discount tire hasn't disappointed me at any of the locations I've been to, which were Kirkland, Renton and Auburn. A good experience overall, however, I do see the frustration others complain about. I purchased some snow tires online and presented myself to the dealership following instructions received from the website. Upon arriving there was zero parking availability with a line out the door...wow. I parked across the street and walked over. The line took about 35 minutes to endure; with no separate lines for pre-orders, appointments, or new clients. All one line with two agents working the desk. Very frustrating. HOWEVER, once reaching the front of the queue the customer service was great. I quickly dropped off the car and returned that afternoon to pick it up. Very simple. No complaints. I started coming to this place in 2011. I believe that regardless of how good your car, there is only four points of contacts between the car and the road. You can't cheap on tires. So, I always bought the best tires and did lots of research. I bought for all three cars here. I don't wait until they are worn out to replace either. Two years and I replace them. This place was initially well run and great value for the money and time. However, in the past years has been declining. However since they hired the recent store manager it really took a deep dive. The customer service is poor, the staff is rude and inexperienced. Let me tell my story with my Porsche Cayenne SUV. I brought this SUV to them in late summer 2022 for new set of tires. These are not cheap. They installed and aligned correctly. It seems everything was going fine until October. They started leaking air from all tires. I went back to them, and unless you buying a tire, you have to wait a long time. After multiple attempts, I got them to look at them. They claimed Porsche rims are defects and its not their fault. This air leaking continued on until March and disappeared when it got warm in March. Early summer in 2023, I hit a curb and it made cosmetic damage to the wheel. So, I took it to Sounders wheel repairs. I also told them that something wrong with air leaks. They spun the wheels and they were all fine, but they discovered whoever installed the tires didn't tighten the TPMS sensors correctly and leak was coming from there. I said simple mistake and it happens. In March 2024, I had a nail in my tire, so I went to discount tire. They fixed the nail and discovered the read driver had a sidewall buldge probably from the earlier hit. Given this is an AWD drive. I asked them to order 4 new ones and install when they arrive. They called me earlier than my appointment and told me the tires arrived. I told them I have an appointment, but they said I can come now and they will get it done quickly. So, I drove there. When I arrived, the manager told me I don't have an appointment and have to wait like everyone else. I was not happy but I will just wait. While waiting I saw the manager getting angry at an older gentlemen and it really got to me. So, I asked for refund as I am done tolerating this person and the shop. I ordered the tires from TireRack and too it for a shop to install. They discovered the key lock was missing from the car. It suppose to be in the back beside the spare. I drove to discount tire and found the same manager. I told him to look for my locking nut key since they were the last to remove and fix a tire on the car. Initially he refused to help and said we just throw them away. Why would throw away a customer car part that your employee failed to return it to its place. After a discussion for a few minutes, he opened a drawer and it was full with keys and mine as not there. So, I left to Porsche for help. The locking nut key on the car are advanced ones from Porsche. They are made with random pattern. It took Porsche four attempt to get the new key right and they did it for free. So, 8 months later I got my locking lug nut removed and installed the new tires. The lack of customer support, care, inexperience is something I have rarely experienced before. We had a great experience here! Came here because we thought we had a nail or a flat tire and needed to buy new tires which we weren't looking forward to. Turns out we had a small nail they were able to get out and patch up, all for free! We made an appointment and they stuck to their one hour time frame exactly to the T. They didn't start looking at our tires at the time of our appointment (1:30pm I think) but they were done by 2:30pm! This place is cheap but I would avoid it at all cost. I rarely write negative reviews but I don't want my Yelp community to experience what I have experienced. I came here a month ago to get my tires changed and knowing I have tricky tires (front and rear have different tires and pressure requirements), I took a proactive role to bring it up with the front desk folks- two different guys. I also mentioned it with the PM person, the guy in between the actual folks installing and the front desk. I thought I should be covered, they won't miss it. To my surprise they did after I drive off the lot and did a test- the pressure was a lot lower than recommended. Fast forward, I m here again. My new tires lost a lot of pressure on one side and had to have them check. Since appointment is at least 2+ weeks out, I came in with my work laptop anticipating some wait coming in at 10:30. The front desk person checked me in and said an hour and at latest, 1.5 hr. It is 2pm after 3.5 hours wait, they told me they will have it done at 4pm as there are 18 cars before me when at 10:40 it was 12 cars before me !!!????I m very confused. I liked this tire service convenient location, friendly staff, they always got things done on time for me. Attention to details and service quality could be better though. I purchased GoodYear tires from them quite a few years ago, and one of the tires was installed incorrectly (see if you can spot what's wrong on the photo) - I didn't notice initially, only noticed years later, didn't bother to ask them to re-install. Another tire had a bigger problem - a slow leak that I complained about every time I came for the free tire rotation service, and it never got fixed. I just stopped mentioning it eventually, as I felt it was pointless. Had to pump this tire every 1-2 weeks for the duration of its service life (4+ years), which was a bit of a hassle. This put me off, and I haven't used Discount Tire since then. It's a bummer - they regularly have good deals on tires, and I liked free services (rotations etc.). I need to install a new set of tires soon - thinking of giving them another try to see if things changed, but hesitating. While other complaints shared on this Yelp page are concerning, my own experience at this Discount Tire was great, and my experience at different ones throughout my life have been as well. I made an appointment but didn't order tires ahead of time. The place seemed a bit hectic and for a short line the wait seemed a little slow, but I was still able to make it to work on time, which was the most important thing. I was met by Brian who was extremely helpful and personable. He really seemed to enjoy working with customers, while being very knowledgeable about their products. We found good tires for my car. While I was only going to replace the rears, Brian alerted me to some cracking on the fronts. Since I was already on the fence about replacing them all, I was open to it but shared some concerns. Brian talked to his manager and then was able to offer me a discount. I guess it is called Discount tire (buh-dum-dum)! I was only going to be working about 4 hours but they had it done in two. The car is running very smoothly now, I can definitely tell the difference. I was presenting over the phone a few options and decided on the tires I wanted. I inquired about wait time and was told walk-ins are welcome every day. When I arrived, my phone number was linked to the predecided services, and I was greeted with a friendly representative and checked in quickly. I was happy to learn that I could receive an additional discount with my AAA membership. The only downside is that the value is great, so the wait time for service is long. I received a quoted time frame that was over by 30 minutes. A text message link allows customers to see the status of their vehicle in real-time. I didn't utilize this, but they provide windshield wiper replacement without a service charge, just the cost of the wipers. read more

I take my car discount tire I anticipate that I need to probably get a new rim but it's cheaper to get four so I got four new tires and four new rims when I drove there my spare my alignment was perfect now my car is driving at like 30°. I don't know what the wrong with these people, you have one job alignment tire fixing what the hell is wrong I could've crashed. They told me it was fine. I will not take my car back there. I will go to the Les Schwab. I don't know anybody car back they it to see if it was driving correctly and now it's making this crunching sound and I spent $1500 there so bye you have one job you fix my tires you fix my alignment and we go on our way but you couldn't even do that read more

I just got new tires from these folks and hopefully the continued service will be as good as what I've experienced so far. I walked in for a quote on a new set of tires and wheels and they printed me out a sheet of everything that would be necessary such as the cost of mounting & balancing and necessary extras like bolts. They had no trouble with installing tpms sensors that I brought in. After I had gotten my quote on the upgrade I found the same tires for a cheaper price online and was able to get the price matched with ease via asking for it online and showing the shop the email confirmation I got from discount tire. This location is super busy which is one downside. If you try to call in, you'll probably be on hold for 20+ minutes unless you get lucky. I've both gotten lucky and extremely unlucky with the calling in. I also had an appointment at the half hour and since the line was so long, they finally got to me 15 minutes later. I was worried because my appointment was near the end of the day but they got me in. Looking forward to coming back to get tires rotated and such. Protip, don't go inside and wait in line if you just want to get your tires inflated or retorqued. You can go straight to the leftmost garage. I saw lots of people waiting in line just to be told they can just pull up to the line right next to the shop window. read more

I've been buying tires at this location for 20+ years. I will not be back. Strike one was a year ago when bought tires from them. After taking my money and leaving the car with them - they called me up and said they were "mistaken" when they told me the tires I bought would be there in the afternoon, and actually they didn't have them - but guess what! They have another tire to sell me...yeah the old bait and switch. Get the car in the shop, then pull the switcheroo and push a tire with the higher profit margin. Strike two was when they told me they would not put air in my tire if it deflated while sitting in the lot waiting for them to perform a repair. I was told they would drive the car into the garage on the flat tire/rim rather than put a few PSI of air in it. I went home, got my compressor, and topped it off since they were not willing to (if needed) for peace of mind that they wouldn't trash my rim. Strike three came when I went in this week with a screw in my tire that was clearly repairable as it was in the center of the tread. Some kid in a managers shirt then explained to me that his "professional opinion" was that it was "unsafe" to repair the tire and that I needed to buy new tires. He kept using those words - "unsafe", "professional opinion" - having clearly been trained how to push me to buy new tires. Having owned over 20 cars so far in my lifetime - I knew he was full of it. A Tire-ible Experience at Discount Tire... I recently visited Discount Tire in Bellevue, and unfortunately, my experience left me feeling deflated--both literally and figuratively. Let me break down the saga of frustration: 1. Customer Service Catastrophe: Adam, the customer service representative, seemed to have taken a masterclass in unhelpfulness. His lack of assistance was truly remarkable. But wait, it gets better (or worse, depending on your perspective). 2. Appointment Apocalypse: I had booked an appointment for a simple flat tire change. Three hours later, I was still waiting. It's like they were running a marathon in slow motion just to change a tire. Perhaps they were secretly training for the Tire Olympics? 3. Part Predicament: When they finally finished, they gave me back my car with the wrong part. Yes, you read that right--two months of back-and-forth just to sort out their mistake. It wasn't until i reached out to corporate headquarters that I was finally helped. I half-expected them to offer me an apology but instead was finally heard and the matter was fixed but with no empathy, just annoyance. 4. Parking Puzzlement: The staff's parking instructions were as clear as mud. First, they insisted I park around the corner. Then, when it was time for my car to be serviced, they suddenly wanted me in the parking lot. In summary, Discount Tire's service was flatter than a pancake left out in the sun. If you're looking for a place to deflate your mood, this is it. As for me, I'll be rolling away from this tire-tastrophe and never looking back. The Kirkland or Redmond location are way better. I will never go back to this location and hope the district manager notices how terrible the quality of service is here and implements changes to make this place as good of quality as the other locations. I prepaid for the work When I arrive the next day at 2:40 they 1) told me they had no record 2) then told me my reservation was for Jan 2 3) they took my car in and told me 5PM for completion. So I decided to wait. 4) I got a text that gave me status. I kept getting them but the information kept changing 5) when status told me that it was in a bay - but it wasn't. Went to Bellevue Discount Tire. Long wait without an appt. Purchased tires that needed to be ordered. Was told whoever sold me my last tires sold me tires for an electric car. I don't have an electric car! I will only shop at discount tire. I've purchased tires from Costco that were put on backwards and from my local mechanic that sold me the wrong type of tire. They are short staffed but knowledgable. Tires are super important and I'll only shop at tire stores - I've learned my lesson twice. read more

Pros: Price was competitive Cons: My car showed a TPMS failure as soon as I left the store, now I have to spend even more time trying to book a new appointment and have it looked at. In the meantime I am going to feel unsafe driving my car with a TPMS failure. They keep the car all day for a wheel change, meaning you have to Uber back and forth from home. They do not cover these Uber rides when they keep the car for the whole day, even when you have to bring the car back due to their mistake. They don't pick up the phone. They seem pretty short staffed with a big wait even if you have an appointment. read more

Husband's car had a tire that kept losing air. The tires were purchased from Costco so we contacted them but was told that they didn't have any availability for a week out. That wasn't going to work so we called our body shop who recommended us here. We were asked to leave the car overnight as they were fully booked and got a call the very next morning! They found a nail imbedded in the tire and removed it. When we asked how much the service cost, they said it was FREE of charge! How? We asked. We didn't purchase our tires here. We got them from Costco! Apparently removing nails and repairing the tires are a free service here, regardless of whose vehicle it is. It was truly a happy surprise not only at how quick they were able to look at and fix our tire, but we didn't have to pay anything for it. To show our appreciation we bought them some Krispy Kreme as a thank you. This is how to gain a customer! read more
