I came in to see if my Road hazzard coverage was still good ( itcwas!) And i had a great experience with Leon, who might actually be part human, part diagnostic machine. Leon checked more than just my tires. He pretty much inspected everything--from tread wear to air pressure, to wiper blades as if he was preparing my car for a NASA launch. I half‑expected him to salute the vehicle when he was done. Leon was very knowledgeable and explained everything to where even I could understand it in a very pleasant manner pleasant while still being so thorough that I briefly wondered if he could also evaluate my life choices with the same level of detail. Of course you can't use the word or name " Discount " without wondering about "value". Putvit this way, you walk in expecting to buy tires, and you walk out feeling like you got a full‑service spa day for your car without paying spa‑day prices. On a rainy night, I got a flat tire while driving home from the airport. It was an unfortunate time to learn that our new car did not come with a spare tire. With just an hour until closing, Discount Tire was willing to take our vehicle, plug the tire, put it back on and rotate our wheels, for free. It was probably the greatest display of customer service that I have ever seen. Every staff member showed kindness and the utmost professionalism. Came in today for a puncture on the tread. Tyler looked at the tires and they were 4/32 in the front and 5/32 in the back. Without even evaluating the puncture (the wheel was rotated on top of the screw), he flat out refused to repair and tried to sell me new tires priced higher than Les Schwab and Costco. He also lied and said my tires were 7 years old when the car is 5 years old. Then he tried some gimmick saying there was a promotion for free wiper blades if I bought their tires. Then on the invoice I see the blades cost $60. He said it was a wash since he was giving me an additional "discount" on the tires. I could see that he was just adjusting the price of my tires arbitrarily. I pressed him to explain why the tire couldn't be repaired and he couldn't give any good explanation. I took it down the street to Les Schwab and they said no problem, easy to repair and got it done. They patched my tire, and did it for FREE. LITERALLY no charge, no other services or anything. Don't trust these guys if you just have a puncture and need a repair. They'll just try to sell you tires even if not needed. Drive another minute down the street to Les Schwab. I wanted to share the exceptional service I received at this Discount Tire, especially from the Manager, Jeremiah. I came in needing to replace a fairly new tire, and while I was there, decided to purchase an additional one and have it mounted, with the good tire moved to my spare rim. What I didn't realize at the time was that there was a lock on the mechanism to lower the spare tire on my 3500 Ram. I had gone to another Discount Tire location the previous weekend, but they weren't able to assist me with removing the lock. Jeremiah, however, took the time to offer different ideas and solutions for how I might get the lock off. I ended up buying what I thought was the correct key on eBay, but unfortunately, I didn't try it before bringing my truck back. When I finally returned to have the spare mounted, the service techs discovered the key didn't fit. That's when Jeremiah personally went above and beyond--he crawled under my truck and forcibly removed the stubborn lock mechanism so they could get the job done. Thanks to Jeremiah's determination and extra effort, I was able to leave with my new tire mounted and ready to go. I am deeply appreciative of the outstanding service I received. Headed out on a hunting trip this morning to Wyoming and made it as far as Kirkland before we had a blowout on one of the trailer tires. Pulled in to DT at 5:00 a.m. and were prepared to wait until the store opened at 8:00. I was very happy to see Chris show up and hour and a half early for his shift and he had us back on the road with 2 new tires/rims an hour before the store officially opened. I had an appointment to get my tires rotated, but my fronts were just on the border of safe. They let me know how much credit I'd receive from remaining mileage without me asking. That's cool. Here's what I saw/heard while I was waiting for my new tires: -Two people had their flats repaired for free. -One person asked them to install their full sized spare. They were informed that their tires were beyond where a replacement is recommended. They declined new tires and the sales person didn't push. -One person had left without telling the shop they were planning to wait for their repair, and then came back in an hour upset that it wasn't done because the shop prioritized people waiting. They quoted 45 minutes but had it done in 20 with a smile and there was no charge (not sure what was done). My estimate for completion was 11:15 and I was out by 10:45. I know not all experiences will be the same, but I was impressed with this location's speed, professionalism, and integrity. Keep it up! read more

I made an appointment for Dec 27 to install all new tires for my 2017 Porsche Macan. I specifically chose this shop over the Bel Red location based on their positive reviews but there must've been the D team working that day or someone clearly inexperienced because the installer not only substantially scratched two of my wheels, but also forgot to put any of the tire valve caps back on and overinflated the tires to 48lbs - well beyond the suggested limit (34lbs) posted on the door. My appointment was scheduled for 2:30 so I showed up at 2:15 and despite them going over their estimated completion time by a full hour, I didn't say anything because I didn't want to rush them.. not that that did any good in the end. After several unanswered calls, I stopped by again and spoke with AJ, the assistant manager who acknowledged their mistakes, submitted a claim for the damages through some third party insurance company called Fleet Response and assured me they'd rectify the issue. I then went ahead and contacted my wheel guy at Sound Wheel Works to have the wheels repaired at $175 plus tax a piece, which Discount will be responsible for. Luckily Sound Wheel is amazing and was able to fit me in same day and the wheels are now fixed, but all this after four hours of my time and two Uber rides to/fro work while the wheels were being repaired - all wasted time and money. I give a star for AJ's acknowledgment of their mess up but only because a simple tire install ended up being a major pain in the arse. I'm in disbelief that Discount said nothing to me about the damages and just let me drive off. Next time, I'll just take it to my dealership or specialty wheel guy. read more

Outstanding Service, Value, and Efficiency. I worked with Joaquin S. who was prompt, professional and friendly. After my girlfriend ran over a piece of metal on the freeway (which badly damaged the tire), he inspected the remaining three tires on an SUV we had just purchased a few weeks ago. The other three clearly had some mileage on them but were barely "in the green" for tread depth. Knowing the answer to whether or not I'd need to change out all four tires, Joaquin worked with me to find the right tire for our needs and I was VERY happy with the final price and outcome, especially compared to nearby competitors. I brought my SUV in late afternoon and had it back by the evening. These guys are working their tails off. I 100% recommend Discount in Kirkland. It should be noted that I was quite stressed after having just put the spare donut on my SUV, making calls to nearby competitors who either told me they were 1.5 days out from finishing any work, could "possibly" get it done, or were asking an arm and a leg for tires I didn't need (I'm not planning on racing this thing around a track). I bought new wheels here at this store. Dropped off the truck, couple hours later they said it was done. I got there and my tpm light was on? I asked if that was right and was told they didn't put new tpm units in it but then came back and told me that they did but didn't link them to the truck then he went to another technician and asked if he would reset the tpm and the guy yelled at him and said " No I won't, I've got too many things I'm doing now" and walked away. The other salesman looked at me and said I'll be back. Then a manager ( he said he was but I wasn't sure) he came and reset the TPM but it went back on, he a as if they would learn them after a few miles. As I was looking at the wheels I noticed that they had scratched one of the center caps and the wheels are black so it shows up very well, I was told that he was going to order me a new one right away and would be there in a week and would give me a call I said ok. Two weeks later I tried calling but no one answered the phone so I called the next day and after letting it ring for 7 minutes they finally answered, I told them I was supposed to have a new center cap ordered and he said oh let me see if I can locate that. I went on hold, about 8 minutes later he said that he can't locate it and it must've gotten lost in transit but he was ordering another now and would call when it was there. I waited another two weeks and tried calling... no one answered so I went down there, stood in line for 20 minutes and then a person came to talk to me. Unfortunately it was the guy that had been rude to the other employee when I was there before but this time he was polite and again I was told they had to order it and would be sure to call me as soon as they had it but now it's been another week and a half and no word. Tried to call they aren't answering again, I let it ring for almost ten minutes but got frustrated and hung up. I guess I'll have to go by there again and wait in line. This place is a mad house, people running everywhere, customers standing waiting to speak with someone and since they have this individual policy of going through your tread depth and try and sell you more tires they spend a lot of time with each customer problem is that there's only one guy taking care of everybody so you just stand there and wait. I like my wheels and need to get one more as a spare but don't think I want to onto this store, it's too hard getting them to stand by the product they sell or at least assure you that they won't damage your new product putting it on your vehicle. It sucks that I should have to write the company that made the wheels and ask if I can buy a new center cap especially when discount should be giving me a new one. I may be able to go to another discount location and get them to order another one but I'm sure I'll have to pay for it. Just beware going to this place they are too busy to be able to account for the customers that they have and customer service is good upstairs but there is none down below in the service area and there is so much going on at one time it's like a chic filla at lunch time. Except they are working on your car that you're about to go and drive at 60 miles an hour hopping that they did their job right. Just saying, I just want my cap that they scratched on my brand new wheels. So I got up this morning and there's a reply to my review with a link thing is the link doesn't work so this proves that you really don't care or want to resolve the problems you have with your store. Like I had mentioned I will call another store and see if I can get them to order another cap for me and just not go to your store anymore, and continue to send people to the bothell store since they seem to conduct business in a better way. My place is a block away and would never treat customers or my business in this way and it's sad to see that this business treats people like this in my own neighborhood and have to go to another town to get decent service. Update.. just called the bothell store and talked to a representative and he is ordering me a new center cap and should be here next week by Friday. I had the worst morning between my flat tire and a sudden dead battery.... The Kirkland location on 124th was able to find me affordable tires and accepted my car last minute without an appointment. I can back a couple hours later and only had to wait 30 min for my car to be ready. I fully expected to wait all day since I didn't have an appointment and of course other people that did took priority. It looked like the crew was working hard to stay on time with their appointments and successfully squeezed me in. Discount Tire has been good, I've used them for all my tire purchases, but when I had my tires rotated, they didn't tighten my front left wheel and it almost came off and killed me on the freeway. I have to admit that tire places are not everyone's cup of tea. This place has amazed me multiple times now. I happen to glance down and see that the inside edge of my tire was completely worn down and in desperate need of a new set of tires and a front end alignment. While Discount Tire does not do front end alignments, they are fantastic at tires and customer service. I called the store and they gave me a great overview of my selections and current local inventory. I did my homework and once again found Discount Tire to have they best tire for my needs. The next day the tires came in and I was notified that they did not have any appointments available until the following week. But the gentleman behind the counter said that as long as I am checked in before they close, they will stay until my tires were installed. This was much more appreciated than they will ever know. They close at 6:00 but sure enough as promised my car was ready for pickup at 8:30 and they were still going strong. I forgot to me tonight that they also send you a link to the status of your car which freed me up to run other errands while I was waiting. I would like to publicly recognize an employee at this location who went above and beyond today. I will be calling the manager Jeremiah as well. My tpms light came on the other day so I took my car there today to just get the air pressure in the tires checked. An employee named Julian immediately noticed there was some metal stuck in the top of the rear driver side tire. So I went in and made the appointment to get it looked at and repaired. Waited about an hour and noticed my car being jacked up outside the waiting lobby. I waited until it was jacked back down and went outside to speak with the tech who I believe was named Hunter? He said nothing wrong with the tire, didn't see anything and suggested the piece of metal just fell off the tread. So I still wanted my air checked and went back to Julian who noticed again the piece of metal stuck in the top of the rear driver side tire. I wasn't sure if it was just missed the first time, or blown off out of laziness, but Julian immediately said he would do the inspection and repair so I didn't have to wait all over again. So, I canceled the appointment and went to the air check queue, and it took them 30 minutes to get someone to fill air. The people are nice when you talk to them but horribly managed place. I went into the Kirkland discount tire today to get a nail pulled and a patch put on. The service associate came outside with his scan tool and told me my tire was at a #1 and he couldn't fix it. I looked at the tire myself and it visibly had plenty of tread. But he decided instead of just fixing it-he was going to try and sell me a $1200.00 set of tires that I didn't need. So I asked him to fix it again and he said "let me go get a tech and see if he will do it."So the tech comes walking up the stairs and tells me he will not fix it because it reads a #1. I asked the tech to come take his scan tool and check it again for me. So he checks it and his tool reads a #3 and he says to me " I can't fix it because it reads a #3. " so I took my car a block away to Les Schwab and my tire was fixed in 10 minutes. I gave discount a 1 star and from now on I'm going to Les Schwab. read more

Over the years I have purchased at least five or more sets of new tires for different vehicles, mostly I have work with Northgate location very close to my home, but because my recent auto purchases have been at Kirkland area. Both time I was there I had some horrible experience, leaving with unmatched tire...really?My most recent issue was made by both Northgate location as well as Kirkland. Due to a wobble feeling in my steering, it came to a conclusion, is due to the aftermarket rims and the new tires at got at Northgate location, they double check the balance and said it was fine. It was highly suggested for a hub rings are needed, due to parts was available only in Kirkland. I made a drive there again. However due to the issue still exist after it was installed, Ive decided to go to Les Schwab to get a second opinion, and they discover two of the wheels was not balance and one out of four the hub ring was "NOT install". Granted the manager at Kirkland discount tire said we have another set of hub rings and offer to install it and agreed to get reimbursed for Les Schwab's bill, I do understand us humans make mistakes, but it's been one too many at this location in a short time, I'm writing this review mainly because the manager seem hesitant about the reimbursement at the same time try to explain about their is different ways to balance a wheel, I honestly would be more apologetic and embarrassed that they forgot to install one of the hub rings. To top it all off, after I had to make yet another drive there, he ask me if I wanted to leave my car here or do I want to wait for it? To install one little missing ring?? Workers are not well trained. Came to DT for a flat tire and was told that my lug nuts are worn and I need to go to a mechanic to get it removed/broken and replaced in order for DT to fix the flat tire. This is fine except this is the 2nd time it happened. Was told by manager that this is normal for Subarus. However I had my car for 12 years and never had this problem before I moved here a couple of years ago. After talking to some folks realized this is probably due to workers not being trained to used their hands to initially set in the lug nuts before using a power tool to set it all the way in. Went in to get my newly ordered tires installed. They did not have them in stock at the time of my appointment. They said they had another tire at a similar price that they could install that day. I agreed then while waiting, looked closer online at the tire they were about to install, it was more than half the price of what I had paid for yet they were going to charge the same amount. Luckily they had not done anything with my car at this point 35 minutes later, I spoke to someone at the front to get my keys back and told them I would wait until the original tire I purchased would arrive ( in 2 weeks time) . No hassle price match (as opposed to the Northgate location where the manager refused). I watched the service tech hand torquing lug nuts which shows a good level of care. They used hidden weights to preserve the cosmetics of the rims. Efficient install once they had the tires in stock. Busy location so expect 90 minutes for walk-in. Call ahead to make sure they have your tires in stock. Layout has customers waiting in lower lobby which is fine. Upper lobby is basically all sales and customer service. Not only was the service free (!!!) but they took extra time and care to save the rim protector I had on my wheel, and to fuss with a cross threaded lug. Amazing company I have only gone to Discounts for the last 15 plus years. Each location is amazing with great staff. They really work hard and efficiently to make sure your needs are met. The wait can be long I do suggest making an appointment but they do accept walk ins. If you want something and they don't have it they will find it for you. They also will fix flats for a complimentary no fee as long as it's repairable. This company treats their employees well and it shows in their manner how the customers are taken care of. I came in to get new tires requesting the same tire presently on my vehicle that came originally from the factory. They looked at them and said yes we have them in stock. Great, I agreed on the price and paid. While doing this another customer comes in furious and screaming for the manager because of a poor service & a disrespectful employee. Things calm down. I waited for the tires to be installed watching from the lower shop level room. Once the tires were off the rims the salesman recontacted me and said sorry those tires I quoted you are the wrong ply the ones you need cost more money. Wow I am now stuck and have to dish out more money which I did. I have decades of experience working in the automotive service industry and this is a B.S. move. I am watching the tire guys working on my vehicle and they throw my hub caps chrome down on the concrete shop floor and throw the lug nuts into the caps. What the heck thats scratching my caps and isn't taught anywhere. Now Im paying attention as I have experience mounting and balancing tires. The employee didn't remove my old weights before spinning the wheels on the balancer. The guy spins the tire/wheel & pulls them off and hammers a weight on. He didn't mark where the weight goes while on the machine so once moved off the machine he doesn't know either by the laser line or display where to put the weight. Ideally he would re-spin the wheel to confirm the balance is correct. The old weights need to come off first then spin the wheel and apply the weight exactly where indicated by the machine display or laser line and preferably re-spin to confirm its in spec that was my taught technique. I seriously question the quality of work they are doing. I was in a bind so I just had to take it. I don't need to get in a argument with a 19 year old pimple faced manager so I will now have to take my vehicle to a known competent shop and have the wheels checked for proper balance. Folks you can't trust this shop to do things correctly because they don't appear to have ever been trained on how to do it correctly. Just very frustrating. Follow-up took my vehicle to another shop and paid to have the wheels checked & balanced. They said they were out of balance around two ounces per wheel. No surprise. read more
