So it's dinner night at my house (day before thanksgiving), I invite the family over for Thai from my neighborhood. I was only able to take a picture of a few items...apparently everyone's appetite was vulture like due to running around. I've eaten here before so I know it's good. I got me the satay chicken which comes with a small cucumber salad side and some coconut sauce, perfect but allot. Everyone enjoyed the dishes which were orange chicken with white rice, chicken pad Thai and roast duck soup. Oh and an order of fried wonton which are filled with this yummy potato filling. There's outdoor seating and online ordering and overall their food is fresh and good, but keep in mind typically their servings are for two plus. In my opinion anyway. And for those complaining about waiting 25 or so minutes for your food to be done..hey it's fresh what did you expect? Tip: call or order online, it'll cut your wait time. It's in a little Bixby Knolls shopping area, next to Bella pizza and Jamba juice. P.s. and no leftovers, even my chicken satay was split amongst the rest lol :) read more

Ordered at 12:15 and it was in my hands by 12:40. Good portions. Ordered pad Thai, pot stickers and egg-rolls. Pad Thai was very plain. Not much flavor and not much to look at. Pot stickers and egg rolls were so so good though. read more

Ordered beef salad today and on the menu, it displayed $8.99 on the table. I asked how much is tax and they said $1.13. Total was $12.12. I wish they had told me or let me know that it cost more before I ordered but was told after handing me a bill and saying "beef is expensive." This shows an integrity problem. I know we are going through a pandemic and hope everyone is safe and healthy. read more

Three times I've ordered now, each time thinking it's going to be bettter. But nonetheless, each pad Thai or noodle dish has been very fair. Too salty, chicken not plentiful, not enough or too little sauce. A bed of greens = some wilted oily iceberg lettuce?? Come on. AND I LOVE THAI FOOD. So crying aside, please step up your game Aura. You're dead central in Bixby Knolls and could absolutely KILL it with some better cuisine. Please please. read more

The place was dirty inside it didn't taste authentic to me Wayover priced very bland and basic. I could of had the same meal out of a frozen bag honestly. This is not the place for me. The rice was old the noodles were over cooked and they served us on paper plates read more

I really wanted to like this place. The "fire cracker" wings are 100% frozen bagged premade chicken wings you can get from Costco that they doctor up with a sauce. Both the yellow curry and the Tom Kha soup were super sweet. WTH. The Pad Thai was ok. They got the steamed rice correct. We were bummed we wasted $50 on food we barely ate. There are so many authentic Thai places in LB to enjoy. I won't be coming back. read more

So far, I've enjoyed everything they have. Red curry is delicious with different spice levels. Their pad Thai is okay but not something I would get here again. I think their fried rice is excellent. I found my new Thai place. One star off for portion size. I have a place back home that is a dollar cheaper for a little more curry to go, so by default, I can't give a perfect rating, sorry. My go-to Thai spot in LBC cuz its walking distance from me workplace. Honestly though, I'm not a big fan of their rice dishes, they feel very generic and not authentic at all. Which is actually very puzzling since all the workers here are actually Thai people... I do like their soups a lot though! My favorite soup is the yum yum noodles. My coworker swears by the curry noodle soup, but I love the yum yum too much to ever venture away from it. Stick to the soups here on a cold day! read more

To be honest, the food from here did not wow me. It was overall great, but I've tried tons of Thai Restaurants and this one was alright. Service: Cashier was great, quick and very friendly Restaurant: Quite small, but it works, nice decor and vibe Yum Yum Noodle: with beef, slight;y sour/sweet taste compared to your average beef based soup, family loved it with the noodles Pineapple Fried Rice: It was okay, flavors were good but not amazing Fried Wonton: Interesting filling, tasted like a bean/sweet potato inside. I took a chance and brought my parents here. My dad LOVES Thai food and a friend recommended it, so I wanted to try it out. First off their service is good, but some of their food was only okay to me. Our party of 4 ordered: -Wonton Soup (So-so, would not order again. I should of tried the Tom Yum, but was afraid of how spicy it would be) -Larb (Medium - too spicy for me, but my mom said she liked it.) -Pad See Lew (Good, but a little too much greens and not enough meat and noodles) -Aura Fried Rice (I'm not a fan. Dad got the mild and I just know he didn't like it. He should of got the pineapple or crab fried rice.) -Aura Pan Fried Noodle (fiance liked it, didn't really try it) Maybe we just ordered the wrong things. :/ So overall it was so-so. It was nice to have the Yelp check-in offer 10% off and the staff was really nice. We might try it again since my fiance liked it. I'll order new things - maybe curry or glass noodles. Great food, prices are a little higher than other places but so far it's been worth it. We've had their Pad Thai, drunken noodles, won ton soup, larb salad, and Tom Ka Gai soup, which were all great!!! We've also had the fried calamari, Thai sausages, and egg rolls which are okay but not my favorite. Lastly we had the sticky mango rice which we will not order again. The mango was wonderful but the sticky rice was bland paste. We will definitely order our favorites again. read more

I've been coming here for years and the prices slowly keep increasing yet the service has declined. They have added a lot to their menu, and the food is still pretty good. But I just don't like the prices, $1.50 for extra egg, that's ridiculous. Then they still haven't opened up the inside space for their customers, barely come out the door to take orders. This will probably be my last time coming here. read more

This review is based solely on the Thai Boat Noodles that I had. I came here on a Thursday afternoon and decided to try Aura Thai since it was close to my house and Elephant Thai Kitchen was closed. The Thai boats noodles were SO EXTREMELY SALTY that I couldn't take more than a few bites. I tried picking at the meats but it seemed like the meats were already brined from the soup and just as salty. The noodles on the other hand, felt day old. It's the feeling of digging into your soup to find that the noodles are hard and clumped together and it takes a while to pull apart. The customer service was also a bit laggy. There were only two other people in the restaurant and it took them a while to refill my water, which I desperately needed. Or maybe I was drinking the water so fast that it seemed like it was taking them a long time to refill my water. My friend had the Nam Tok steak salad, which I tried a little bit of to get the salty taste from my mouth. It was mediocre at best but considering there are a plethora of thai food restaurants in Long Beach, I probably won't ever come back here. read more

I was very disappointed after getting 2 of the aura soups one had very little seafood in general and the other was a bit better but still neither of the containers had any fish in it. it's literally a giant container of broth with a few pieces of seafood. And for almost $14 there def should have been more and have the fish I was expecting to be in it. this is all the seafood that was in one order the only upside to my order was the cozy shrimp, they're always good. read more

After a very rough night and a follow up at urgent care I do have to say BEWARE! I had Tom yum soup and a noodle dish that both contained shrimp and needless to say I got food poisoning! The absolute worst experience for my casual Sunday DoorDash night. The funny thing is that that food was bland so I'm surprised I didn't taste that the dish was bad... anyhow just be aware and be safe! read more

This is one of the best Thai places I've ever been to. I haven't had a dish I didn't like. I love their papaya salad and any of their curry dishes. This is also one of the very few restaurants I've been to where they mean business when it comes to their level of spiciness. Yum! read more

The food didn't take long which is great. It was also delicious! Spicy level could have been a little spicier but u can always tell them your spicy level. I ordered the Pangang Curry, mild. It was delicious!! Next time I'll try medium spicy. Mild barely gave me a kick. The fried banana ice cream dessert was bomb. Loved the sticky rice underneath it! Small place. Very casual, seems like a mom and pop shop. Possibly family ran restaurant. I had to ask for utensils still. But place is very affordable for amazing quality food. I knocked it down 2 stars because although the service was very nice it could have been better. Also, the quality of the place could have used a touch up. I'll probably order more to go since I stay close by. read more

This place is an embarrassment to Thai food. They dumb down the flavors so bad, it is bland. Where is Thai spices like lemongrass, kafir, cilantro, galanga, mint and basil? Are they too expensive to add to your dishes? Don't call it Thai food when all you throw in is cilantro. read more

The ambiance was relaxed, and where we sat in the back was cool because there was upbeat music playing loud enough to muffle the surrounding sounds but still soft enough to have conversation at our table without needing to raise our voice. The buns would have been less moist since it made it a tad bit soggy. But nonetheless it was still very good. The crispy rice with spicy tuna was shocking. It was so good. I hate tuna but this was very good. It wasn't fishy at all and had such a great umami taste to it all I would totally recommend this place to someone who wants a simple ramen menu that is priced around $20 per entree. The wait can get about an hour or more on the weekend but if you come during the week try to get there before 7pm. The only down side is they add a service charge to your bill. On their menu it's scratched out that you can take it off the bill. I think this is their way of tipping their servers but considering it's 17% is pretty hefty if you have a large bill. From a bill of about $35 it was a $5 service fee charge.
