The soup noodle were juicy and delicious, and the pan-fried egg wrap had that perfect crispy bottom with a flavorful, juicy filling.

I also really enjoyed the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the whole experience felt relaxed and genuine. If you love Shanghainese food, especially soup dumplings and pan-fried buns, this is definitely a place worth trying. I'm already looking forward to coming back and trying more dishes!

This place has become my go to Chinese food when I'm craving for dumplings. They have the best fried pork bun! Must order - fried pork bun - pork XLB - shepherds purse soup - beef rice - beef stir fry noodles - any of their mochi desserts

I think about this spot weekly! Everything is so good and made to order. I crave the sesame dumplings omg so good. definitely worth trying every dumpling on the menu they're all so good and you can see staff folding them fresh. bring cash!

I'm honestly not sure why this place is rated so highly. Almost everything we ordered had a very strong pork smell, and not in a normal or appetizing way. Pork Soup XLB - This had too much soup, to the point that each dumpling just sank (you can clearly see it in the photos). A well made one is supposed to sit upright and not bottom heavy. Overall, I didn't think it was better than Din Tai Fung or Seven Grams. It had too much soup, and the strong pork smell really stood out. Pan-Fried dumplings - These were ok, but nowhere near the best I've had in SoCal. Crab XLB - This was probably the biggest letdown. It was the first time I've had crab soup dumplings where the pork smell completely overpowered the crab. I could barely taste any crab at all. The crab roe noodles were also underwhelming. Compared to versions I've had in Shanghai, these were much less flavorful, and there wasn't enough crab roe to coat all the noodles. Glutinous shumai - Was acceptable, but nothing memorable. Egg pancake with ham sausage - Skip. Wasn't worth the calories. Service was okay, but a little slow.

I was randomly searching for crab roe noodles on yelp and stumbled on Auntie Qiu Kitchen in Arcadia. I ordered the crab roe noodles, pan fried pork buns and spicy wonton? The crab roe noodles were really good but it was a little small in portions. The pan fried buns came out piping hot and it was filled with soup. I thought I ordered spicy wontons but my wontons came out to be wontons with sesame sauce. It wasn't spicy but I really like enjoyed the sesame sauce with the wontons. Auntie Qiu offers a wide variety selection of food, the menu was pretty extensive but I knew what to order what I got there. The place is a bit small but when I went, it wasn't so busy and they had more people ordering take out. Overall, it was a comforting and great meal.

A friend mentioned Auntie Qiu Kitchen is their favorite restaurant in the area so I had to come check it out. We ordered pork soup dumplings, pan fried pork buns, pork potstickers, thick chowmein with beef, Shanghai rice cake with pork and pork belly noodle soup for entrees. The wrapper of the soup dumplings is a bit thicker and chewier than Din Tai Fung. The pork filling is juicy and flavorful. We really liked the noodles and rice cake. We also got coconut lava balls, osmanthus ice jelly, and sesame mochi. The osmanthus ice jelly is nice and refreshing, and not too sweet. The coconut balls and sesame mochi were just ok. The staff is friendly. The decor in the restaurant is cute. I'd come back to try more dishes.

after consulting my Shanghainese friends and checking this place out for myself. Auntie Qiu is an automatic No Brainer, must-detour for Xiao Long Bao & Shen Jian Bao Lovers and everything Shanghainese. That being said. I gave everything high markers. Both Soup Based Dumplings and Pan Fried Pie/ Baos were flooded with soup. Their specific Worcester Vinegar sauces were all local to Jiangsu & Shanghai and elevated both dishes--- fully enjoyed these two items. Shanghai Braised Pork was a solid 8.5/10, Jellyfish Salad 8/10, Shanghainese Scallion oil dry noodles maintained form factor and flavor on my rig during my trip out, am I missing anything.... This restaurant is worth driving from Rowland Heights out to Arcadia for dinner. Gentlemen in the front of the house was excellent. Stellar service and interior decor fits that whole Shanghai theme really well with the 1920s Art Deco & Neoclassicim that really brought the culture there to the attention of the West as the Paris of the East. Can't wait to come back with a party next time around.

They have a large menu. I've been here a couple times and there's still more intriguing items I want to try. Once I came for lunch on a Saturday. Another time I came for dinner on a Sunday. Both times we were seated right away, no wait. Service is polite. Standout dishes for me were the Twisted Cruller Mochi Black Sesame and Shanghai Style Salty Tofu Pudding. Both were unique and interesting flavor and texture combinations.

Super quick and excellent Shanghainese food! We ordered a bunch to try. The Shanghainese eggrolls were delicious and came out so hot and crunchy. The wonton noodle soup was simple but comforting. And the XLB were on par with dtf The mochi sesame donut was unique and a standout.

I can't say enough about this place and their amazing dishes - we ordered the crab XLB, pancake egg crepe with hot dog, brown sugar glutinous cakes, salty tofu pudding, pork noodles, and pan fried dumplings. The XLB was HOT as it should be and the skin was just thick enough where it didn't break. I loved the salty tofu pudding as it's something I've never had before - it hit the spot on a rainy day. My partner enjoyed his noodles but felt it was a little too plain which may just be the style of the dish that we're not used to. His favorite was the egg pancake because of how flavorful the sauce was. They ran out of the pan fried buns when we got there so that's for next time. Big thumbs up for their self-ordering format

This place truly took me back to Shanghai, and every dish we tried hit the spot. This is their original location, and there was a wait when we arrived, so I recommend calling ahead. It's a little cramped inside but the waiter was attentive in checking on the progress of our food. We started with Wanlaoji, a drink I used to order often in China, and it was refreshing and nostalgic. The mini wonton soup was a standout. The broth tasted just like the ones I have had in Shanghai, and the tiny wontons made it comforting and hearty. We also ordered the steamed lettuce in oyster sauce, a simple but great addition to the table. The sheng jian bao was made fresh and came in a portion of four, which was perfect for sharing. It was absolutely delicious. The shaomai was another highlight, soft and full of flavor. Overall, this was a great meal, and I will definitely be back to try more dishes.

好吃,现包的看起来非常不错,是比国内的包子还好吃呢 So delicious! They're freshly made and look absolutely amazing. Even better than the buns back home!

Came here with high expectations and it was just okay. The soup dumplings really stick to the paper if you don't pull them off right away. The food was very seasoned/salty. It's not a bad thing, the flavors were just very strong.

The flavors were great, and I'd definitely come back. My biggest concern, though, was that the hot beef noodle soup was served in a plastic bowl, and all of the utensils were plastic as well. Serving very hot soup in plastic makes me wonder about the potential for microplastics or other chemicals leaching into the food. If you're concerned about plastic coming into contact with hot food, this is definitely something to keep in mind. Great food, but I really wish they would use ceramic or another non-plastic bowl for hot soup.

The black squid ink wrappers make them visually striking, while the shrimp filling is tender and flavorful. The touch of gold leaf gives them an elegant presentation. Sweet-Scented Osmanthus Jelly - $6.38 That is my favorite dessert. Light, refreshing, and delicately sweet with a subtle floral aroma. Shrimp & Pork Dumplings with Black Truffle - $7.38 Juicy and well-balanced. Squid Ink Scallop Dumplings with XO Sauce - $11.98 Another one of my daughter's favorites. The scallops were tender, and the XO sauce added a savory richness that complemented the squid ink beautifully. Spare Ribs with Black Bean Sauce - $6.98 That is my dish. The ribs were tender, well-seasoned, and coated in a savory black bean sauce with just the right amount of garlic and saltiness. Sautéed String Beans with Minced Pork - $18.80 This is another one of my daughter's must-order dishes. The green beans were crisp, and wok-fried with minced pork, garlic, and chili. Fabulous! My husband and I came to Chef Tony for the first time because we read online it was included on the online Michelin Guide for restaurants in LA. Even before the food was served, we noticed a few flies flying around the restaurant and going around tables that were already served food. As soon as our first dish was served, one or two flies started coming over. My husband and I didn't mind just brushed them away. But pretty soon..we were getting 3 or 4 that were flying and attempting to get into our food. One landed on my husband's water cup before we could get to it. And funny thing is a waitress happens to be at our table bringing out more dishes to our table, clearly saw the fly landing on the cup but did not say anything or offer us another cup. I know she saw because I saw her looked at the cup and moved the cup to the side. Basically our whole meal time was consumed with looking for flies that were trying to get to our food. Flies were landing on the booth bench...other table's food..or on other customers. At first, we asked for napkins to cover each dish so we wouldn't have to keep swatting our hands while we try to eat. Eventually, my husband and I ended up asking for to-go containers to at least be able to take some bites in peace knowing our food would be covered. Overall, very disappointed with the dining experience. So unless you're okay with swatting flies your whole meal, I don't recommend coming here.

The food is consistently good, honestly better than a lot of nearby places that charge quite a bit more. What won me over right away, though, was the breakfast combo. Two dim sum items and a hot drink for just $14 is a genuinely good deal. A cold drink is only $1 more (typical HK practice), and you can also take your drink to go for another $1, which is a nice little convenience. I'm pretty particular about milk tea, so I don't say this lightly: their half coffee, half milk tea really hits the spot every time. It's balanced, and satisfying. Beyond the combo, they also serve all the comfort staples, porridge, fried chow mein, Chinese donuts, and my personal favorite, rice noodles with a variety of fillings. It delivers the same comforting flavors you want from a casual dim sum-style breakfast, but without the inflated prices, long waits, and hectic atmosphere that have become so common at more traditional dim sum spots. This place is a solid, dependable replacement for the usual dim sum experience. The restaurant is spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the service is consistently warm and welcoming. The driveway can be a little tricky. It sits right next to the Taco Bell drive-through exit, separated only by a fire hydrant, so it's easy to miss or get confused when pulling in. But it's a small tradeoff for a spot that delivers this much value and consistency.
