    Beware of Audi Care Markup I bought my first Audi, a new S5, from Audi Arrowhead in Dec 2024. I researched the car but not Audi Care. Their finance department took advantage charging more than $1000 over MSRP. I discovered the overcharge at Audi North Scottsdale during my first service, where my advisor printed my contract and explained the actual Audi Care MSRP. How did this happen - through misinformation and fear. The finance department provided a non-negotiable price of $2799. I was told the S5 was a premium car (its standard Audi Care). I asked to justify the service price, and finance presented inflated maintenance costs showing how I get my money back and more by the end of the 4th year. I was told if I didn't purchase Audi Care at point of sale, I couldn't add it later (false). I reached out to the GM to discuss and he explained this markup is how Arrowhead makes up for lower prices on cars. He apologized for the tactics of his finance team, but made it clear that I signed the paperwork and I'm stuck with it. If you are going to buy here, understand how Audi Care works and don't let Audi Arrowhead / AutoNation take advantage of you too.

I've brought my vehicle in twice for the same warranty issue, both times with scheduled appointments and advance notice. Despite knowing exactly why I was coming in, the service team could not provide even a reasonable estimate of how long the repair would take. This wasn't a unique diagnostic issue; it was a known warranty repair that has been performed on many vehicles. On both visits, I was initially told the vehicle might need to stay for days, despite being assured when I scheduled the appointment that same-day completion would not be a problem. Even more frustrating, my vehicle sat in the parking lot for over three hours each visit before anyone looked at it. In total, I lost more than seven hours across two appointments and left both times without any work being completed. What concerns me most is the complete lack of scheduling transparency. In an era where service departments have access to repair histories, labor standards, and scheduling systems, customers should be able to receive a reasonable estimate of how long a known repair will take. Instead, I received vague answers and shifting expectations. Based on my experience, I would not trust the timelines provided by this service department. The communication, planning, and customer service were extremely disappointing.

    Bought a 2021 ford ranger lariat fx4 from them back in Feb. The salesperson messed my name up on…read moreall the paperwork and had to be told multiple times what he did wrong to get it fixed. When he corrected it, he only corrected it on the DMV paperwork, not the auto loan, warranty, gap insurance, or any other paperwork. I pointed this out to them multiple times and they didn't correct it, resulting in me having to call all those institutions and get it corrected myself. He also did not flag the lifted truck option on the warranty he sold me despite the truck being lifted. They fixed this last part for free without any cost to me, so I guess they get half a point for effort there. Now that we get past the initial paperwork part of where this purchase went wrong, let's get into the mechanical issues with the vehicle. On my test drive, I noticed a burnt rubber smell coming from the left rear of the vehicle that I now know is symptomatic of a leaking rear axle seal. The power train warning light was also on the truck. I reported both of these things to the dealer and they said they would fix it with their partnered shop. They took the truck to the shop and told me they need to replace the wiring harness to correct the power train issue error. After that, they had to send the truck to a local transmission shop for a rebuild of the transmission, and that shop told me that there was an axle seal leaking. I passed that information on to the dealership to see if they would fix that or if I would have to, and they completely blew me off. Because of weeks back and forth where the dealership told me repeatedly that they'd communicated with other parties and then I call those parties and they all state they never heard from the dealership, I decided I no longer trusted that dealer or their mechanics at all and I took the car to a ford dealership. Immediately spotted the seal issue and diagnosed that the transfer case motor wasn't engaging. Swapped the motor and then had to diag that the wiring harness was messed up. I would not recommend buying a car from overstockvehicles or their partner organization valleycargroup. The only positive of this experience was getting them to foot the bill on a transmission rebuild for a vehicle that has known transmission issues.

I've never used a auto broker before and was skeptical this would go smoothly as I usually try to have friends or family check vehicles out for me but we all know how that can be. I found VPS on Yelp and after doing some research by visiting his website along with the many reviews on Google/Yelp I decided to take the plunge. I contacted Dave via text late on a Saturday and was texted back that same night. He ask for a link to the vehicle I was interested then without asking pulled the Carfax of the truck and showed that it had been in a minor accident. We discussed more and I decided I was serious and ready to make the purchase. Dave swiftly took over and made an appointment with the seller, scheduled a basic vehicle inspection that included a diagnostic check as well as 10-20 photos of the body and undercarriage including a short video of the engine idling that I specifically requested. I then proceeded to negotiate a price with the seller that we eventually locked in. I was able to send the funds directly and securely witch gave me added piece of mind. Dave met with the seller got all the paperwork taken cared of (notary, title, bill of sale, etc) as well scheduled/coordinated a new windshield replacement that the seller agreed to take care of prior to selling me the vehicle. Lastly Dave was able to clean, prepare and store the vehicle safely till we could schedule shipping to me. Dave went above and beyond my expectations! He was willing to help with whatever was needed. Reliable, friendly, vehicle knowledgeable and great communication. This was the smoothest out of state purchase I have ever done. I will definitely use vehicle purchasing service in the future. The last Ford dealership service department used to use the words "recommended service." Peoria Ford uses the words "failed inspection." Do not use the words "failed inspection" with me if it is something that is recommended and the vehicle will still be safe to drive if I cannot get the ridiculously overpriced service performed at that time. One item they failed was the cabin air filter. They wanted $80 to replace it. I ordered one from Amazon. It took 10 minutes to replace. They also wanted $50 to put $5 felt pads on the battery posts even though it was another Ford Dealership that didn't put them back in the first place.

I even offered to wire the money directly into their account and personally travel to pick up the vehicle, which should have eliminated most of the risk on their end. The manager claimed they had issues in the past with bad checks, but I was never offering a check -- only a direct wire transfer. When I asked why my situation was different, especially since they said they occasionally make exceptions, it became clear they simply wanted to make more money on the deal and used the out-of-state policy as an excuse to back out at the negotiated price. The entire experience was frustrating, misleading, and completely ridiculous. I would strongly advise anyone considering this dealership to think twice and avoid the hassle altogether. I dealt with multiple salespeople, the internet manager, customer relations Beverly, and the main manager. Everyone was polite individually, and Beverly in customer relations was very nice on the phone. She passed me through to the right avenues and then spoke to the main manager of the whole place, but the dealership's overall business practices were completely disorganized, misleading, and incredibly frustrating. I originally negotiated a number, walked away from the deal, and then was repeatedly contacted and pulled back in by multiple salespeople afterward. After more discussions, more time invested, arranging logistics, and preparing to move forward, I was suddenly told by management that they "don't do out-of-state deals." Then the explanation changed again to basically: they do out-of-state deals when it financially benefits THEM, but not when they don't like the negotiated price. That should have been disclosed immediately from the beginning -- not after days of conversations and wasted time. To make matters worse, they specifically told me to have a friend physically go into the dealership to inspect the vehicle for me, which I paid for and arranged. So not only did they waste my time, they wasted my money and my friend's time as well. As someone with two small children, I spent time coordinating inspections, logistics, payment arrangements, and seriously preparing to buy this vehicle, only to get completely contradictory explanations at the end. If you don't sell vehicles out of state, say it upfront. Don't repeatedly re-engage a buyer, encourage them to continue forward, send them through multiple departments, have them inspect the vehicle, and then refuse to sell the car afterward. One of the most frustrating and unprofessional car-buying experiences I've had and I have bought a ton of Ford vehicles. Buyers should be extremely cautious dealing with this dealership go somewhere else trust the reviews.
