I had heard Sanderson Ford had a reputation of taking care of their customers. My experience there completely confirmed this. After having a horrible experience at another local Ford dealership, I called Sanderson to do some warranty work. I scheduled an appointment for the following Monday and on the Friday before, I was contacted by their service advisor, Mike Perreault. Mike said he always reviews the appointments that he has on the coming business day and, when he looked at my vehicle's file, he noticed the factory warranty expired that day. Because of that, my vehicle would no longer be under warranty when I brought it in on Monday. He said that he would be willing to take my vehicle in that afternoon and when I told him that I wouldn't be able to drop it off until shortly after they closed, he said he would wait for me. I brought my vehicle in and he was incredibly kind and easy to work with. I pointed out one warranty issue that the previous dealership would not address, saying it was normal for wheel well covers to pull in towards the tire. Mike said that was not correct and the problem would get addressed. Mike contacted me the following business day and told me my vehicle was ready for pick up. Avoid this unprofessional and incapable service center. We had the worst experience anyone could have. We went to Sanderson Ford to avoid the horrid experience we have had with other Ford dealership service centers. We set an appointment with Sanderson Ford for Monday June 16, 2025, knowing we would be leaving the vehicle with them a day or 2. With not a single person in the service advisor area, we still waited 10-15 minutes even with the appointment. We provided detailed information of what to address. The service Advisor, Daniel (Dan) Oestreich took a couple notes as we identified minor items, a couple recall items and a suspension noise I had already diagnosed. He presented $400.00 diagnostic fee. After 2 days of nothing, I called on Tuesday, June 18 and was provided excuses of Dan being out sick. At 4:55 PM that same evening I get a text. Hi Mr J..., I just got all I need to call the 3rd party warranty and is too late today to call. 2 More days 8:54AM I inquire via text, "Will the vehicle be ready today? I received a call; more bs about the 3rd party warranty not covering most of the service. So I called the warranty company and they inform me, they have not received a warranty request from Sanderson Ford. I texted Dan for the contact info of whom he spoke to. Later that same day, I got a text from Dan, that he has everything done but the axles and alignment. What Axles?! June 23rd at 12:53 in the afternoon, I ask again, 'Is the truck ready?'. At 3:39 on June 24th, I reached out to Mark Witthar, General Manager of Sanderson Ford as I am no longer getting responses to inquiries of the status of our vehicle. I had a conversation over the phone with Nicolas Thompson Sanderson Ford Service Manager and arranged to see what work they had done and to inspect the items they say are bad. Shortly after, I receive the following text from Nick as I asked what they had done and what was to be done. I receive the standard upsell bs with the issue I asked be addressed in the middle. I arrive to inspect the vehicle. When I asked where the parts they replaced are, they pulled an axle from the trash. A brief inspection led me to believe this wasn't the axles from my vehicle. They mentioned a front engine cover leak. I identified and showed them the leak was from a oil pressure sensor which is very common as well. They hadn't touched the Front Sway Bar Links and bushings nor anything else. In Nicks office, I informed him as of that morning no request to the warranty company had been made. He mentioned the short-fall of Dans ability to manage his responsibilities and he would address it. That was inappropriate. Nick also informed me, they would perform the work at the "Friends and Family Rate of $89/hour". The final invoice was based on an hourly rate more than double that. We continue to discuss the work and Nick decides to write the other items up on another ticket and provide a false story to the warranty company as to why it wasn't submitted the first time. Later that afternoon I get a text from Dan stating he added '3 lines of work we spoke of'. That wasn't 3 lines of new work. It took another 2 days to tell me the oil leak and to recommend all 3 engine mounts, oil sending switch and pigtail, front engine cover reseal and that he needs more time to get it with Drive Line for other items to call into warranty. Then I get a receipt via text for $966.19 which was nothing I paid or authorized. I assume it was for the axle they replaced and hit the warrantee company for. On July 3rd, I ask if the vehicle will be ready Monday the 7th. 3 weeks since the service started. He responds he was out sick Tuesday. Again. Dan says he has all the information to call the warranty company finally. Again. So they are only just sending the info to the warranty company. I told Dan to stop blowing smoke up my ass and get the vehicle done. Later that day he sends a text that my current bill is $2,049.91 after the warranty has paid their portion. He added the list of other bs and says the total is $6,671.61. I ask him to send me the detailed invoice. I get another text, listing bs with numbers. I ask him to email it so I can see the details. I get the same thing again. On July 7th, I told Dan to halt all work, send me a detailed final invoice and I will come for the car. A couple bs text later I get a text (still no detailed invoice) from Dan and the price increased to $2,318.71. Again, I ask for the detailed Invoice. I received nothing. July 8th, I insist Dan coordinate with Nick to finalize the invoice and demanded a detailed invoice. Which I only received when I paid the invoice. Less than 3 miles from the service center, I get a low tire pressure warning from the one TPS sensor they replaced of the 3 I asked them to replace. The tire at less than 19 psi. Low tire pressure can have severe consequences. In my day, even the children knew how to check tire pressure. read more

Boyfriend went in before his work day at 8am and found the truck he wanted and loved, left a deposit and got sent the paper work to fill out while he was at work as he would pick up the truck after work. Then come to find out, he gets a call mid day and someone is signing papers for the truck. Boyfriend argued that he left a deposit but manager said they didn't run the deposit yet. So messed up...my boyfriend was completely moving forward with the truck and had been contacting salesmen before he went to see it and everything. So disappointing. read more

First off, I would like to say that I bought my vehicle at Sanderson and it was a very positive experience. Dealing with the service department ever since, had been absolutely horrendous. I truly don't understand how they have won any awards; never mind the ones they claim to have won. My breaking point with this dealership happened today. I made an appointment for 9:00 am for the issues I was experiencing. My vehicle had a recall. The person with whom I made the appointment said they could perform the recall service in my own driveway and it would take about an hour. I said I would prefer to come in as I wanted them to look at my front end as I was experiencing some vibration and shaking. I get to my appointment at 8:45 and was told that my service advisor would be with me in 10 minutes. So I waited in the garage for 10 minutes. Art comes out, gets the mileage and looks around. Asks me a few questions and then asks me how I would like them to diagnose the issue. I'm like huh? I'm not a mechanic. Then he told me that their front end staff could probably get to it on Tuesday (today is Friday). I asked why I had an appointment for today if they can't look at it until Tuesday? He said it was an appointment to talk to him. I explained that I took the day off and drove 25 miles out of my way to come here. Why didn't he just call me in the phone if all we were doing to do was talk!? I spoke to the service manager. He was just as indifferent. Then asked how long the recall work would take and was told at least half a day. What?!! It can be done in MY driveway but now it takes half a day? I drive away knowing I will never return. I'm can't understand why this dealership receives such high accolades. Are they self proclaimed? What a terrible service department. I will recommend that nobody I know visit Sanderson for any service work. I have made 7 am oil change appointments only to wait 2.5 hours. This is not service. This is a joke. read more

While I appreciate the community outreach efforts Sanderson Ford is known for, I take strong issue with their radio jingle claiming they are "Arizona's pride." That phrase feels incredibly tone-deaf--especially to those of us who have served in the military or know people who have made the ultimate sacrifice. I believe there's a more respectful way to highlight their service to the community without overreaching with language that, frankly, diminishes what truly represents pride in Arizona--our military members, first responders, and heroes like Pat Tillman. A car dealership, no matter how generous or involved, should not claim a title like that. A simple change in wording, such as "we serve Arizona with pride," would go a long way in striking a more appropriate tone. As a retired military member, I find their branding message disappointing and, frankly, offensive. Arizona's pride lives in the sacrifices made by its citizens--not in marketing slogans. read more

My wife and I would first like to commend the outstanding Service Department customer relations provided by Andrea Reyes (Service Advisor), and Nicholas Thompson (Manager). Both of these fine people epitomize true customer care in what can all-too-often appear as a hard-hearted industry (I had been a licensed mechanic/technician from 1983-1998). We came in yesterday a.m. for our regular-interval service for our 2020 Ranger, (adding a needed front-end alignment because of our newly replaced tires). Andrea handled the check-in. She was very upbeat, caring and helpful with my bombardment of concerns over our soon-to-expire extended service contract, especially for having so few miles on our truck, and multiple services remaining. She was very quick to talk with her manager, Nicholas, who would meet with, and take us to talk with their Business manager. In the meantime, because we would be waiting there for the hours-long service/alignment, Andrea gave us multiple "Starliner Bucks" to grab a breakfast/lunch while we waited (signed/approved by Nicholas). Nicholas, a very customer-oriented and kind professional, took us to the Business Manager. On the walk over to see him, Nicholas, my wife and I had a very open conversation on various perspectives of customers and business workings. It was more like talking with a friend (or brother). Arriving at the business manager's office, Nicholas left us to talk with each other. We both remembered our previous phone conversation a couple days earlier, then went through our options. He came to the conclusion that since we do not drive the truck enough to justify purchasing a new service contract (and we would unfortunately just have to lose the remaining 8 services), it would be more economical to pay out-of-pocket for future servicing. When we returned, Andrea explained that we needed a replacement battery. It was not covered under the Ford Service Contract or Ford's Extended Warranty Plan, but she absolutely tried to get us any discounts she could, adding windshield wiper replacements under covered parts. Andrea is absolutely phenominal, and Nicholas is an outstanding "ambassador" to Sanderson Ford. These two professionals left both my wife and me with renewed encouragement that will keep us coming back to Sanderson Ford. I've come to see over the years, that the Service Dept. is actually what keeps customers coming back, and these wonderful people demonstrate why. What we each do for a living/job/career only provides the backdrop for how we relate to one another, revealing our true character and what we are all about as people. Even if we can't always get the ideal results we hoped for, a genuine attutude of caring, and at least an attempt to help, make all the difference in the world. Both sincerity of heart, and true character are always revealed in our relations in business and elsewhere. To add: Yesterday evening (3/31/25), Andrea called after her regular work day ended, to make sure the service/repair went well, and that we were happy with the results. She also asked if there was anything else they could help us with. We don't remember anyone following up like this at any dealership. Further indication of her professionalism, character and care. Avoid Don Sanderson Ford - They Don't Care About Their Customers I special ordered a 2024 Ford Maverick Lariat from Sanderson Ford, and less than a year later (with 38,000 miles), I brought it in for a radio issue -- it turns off when pressing the accelerator. Despite how new the truck is, they charged me $200 for a misdiagnosis and refused to cover anything under warranty because I was slightly over the mileage limit. At drop-off, Marcus told me he'd try to get it covered since it was such a close call, but management refused to help. They denied me a loaner, and even the shuttle was being denied because I needed to go just outside their preferred radius. They wanted to charge even more for a part they think would fix it -- with no guarantee. I left without the issue being resolved. I was also in talks with their sales team about buying a Ford F-150 Lightning, but this experience made it clear: they only care about making a sale -- not supporting customers afterward. I will not return, and I don't recommend anyone else does either. Ford as a company also needs to take more responsibility for recurring issues and defects. read more

My experience at Sanderson Ford was a true example of LEGENDARY customer service. For over a week, I have been working with Dan Wickham on purchasing a 2022 Ford Explorer with a trade in. We found the perfect model version, hammered out the details and with that, took a 400 mile drive to Glendale, Az. It took 5.5 hours to get there from Los Angeles and once I arrived I was treated with the best experience you only see in movies. Upon my arrival, we went over the details once again. There were a few hiccups, but not on the part of the dealership or Dan. The issue was with my trade in vehicle's financial company. We got those issues addressed and were able to complete the deal. While the deal took a few hours longer than it should, Dan and the dealership took care of me, even buying me lunch. And to cap off the experience, I drove back from AZ to Cali leaving at 6:30pm, and Dan asked that I let him know that I got home safely. To some that seems excessive or silly to do, however it showed me he valued me as a person. I drove out to AZ @ 6am, spent several hours to close the deal and drove back and got home @ 11:30pm For those in the market for a Ford, live out in Arizona or are up for driving out there, make sure to see Dan Wickham, he will take care of you and make your experience one to remember. Sanderson Ford vs. Bell Ford???....No Contest, Sanderson wins walking away. I went to Bell last week and gave them a deposit on a vehicle. I returned the next day with a cashier check for the remainder, only to find they were trying to sell me the wrong vehicle. They were hoping I would give them the check without confirming the vehicle we had agreed upon. The process included sitting around for hours waiting for the dealer/manager to work through negotiations and then unsuccessfully attempting to resolve the "error" I discovered. I went to Sanderson the same day, the sales person stayed late at the dealership, after closing, and worked on his day off to find the right vehicle. He was very transparent throughout the process. To begin, I want to commend Dallas for maintaining professionalism throughout our dealings. My grievances primarily pertain to management as they are the ones to make the decisions on trade-in amounts and proper business practices. During the negotiation for my new vehicle, I was offered thousands less than the KBB value. I was assured that the car would be listed for a certain value that made their trade amount seem reasonable, yet I was disheartened to discover it online for nearly $4,000 more than they said they would list the car for. This shift in information from your team is disconcerting and undermines the trust I initially placed in your company. Having received higher offers elsewhere. I proceeded in good faith, believing I was dealing with an honest establishment. This experience raises ethical concerns about your business practices. I understand that dealers may sell their vehicles for whatever they want, but do not lie to my face to try and rip me off. Furthermore, I mentioned our family's connection to Ford, with a family member and access to an AXZ Plan code. Regrettably, this was never acknowledged during the sale, and when I raised the issue with a manager, I was told it wouldn't have made any difference, as the price offered was already the lowest. Following a conversation with Ford's corporate office, it became clear that this information was not accurate, and the discount should have been honored. Just expected a little better from what's considered a triple crown dealership. Wrote to the president as well as the GM and haven't heard a word back. read more
