Overall, we had a good experience with Carvana and decided to purchase the Buick. The vehicle had minor prior damage listed on the CARFAX, and when our mechanic put it on the lift, he pointed out some overspray underneath that was consistent with that prior damage. The vehicle also only came with one key. Both of those things were disclosed upfront, so I have absolutely no issue with either one. That's part of buying a used car--you review what's disclosed, have the vehicle inspected, and make your decision. The one issue we did find that was not disclosed involved the exhaust/catalytic converter assembly. Our mechanic found that a secondary catalyst section had previously been cut out and replaced with a section of straight pipe that was welded into place. According to our mechanic, it shouldn't affect how the vehicle runs, and we still felt comfortable purchasing the car. My only concern is that a modification like that should have been identified and disclosed during Carvana's inspection, just like the prior damage and the single key were disclosed. Had it been disclosed, it wouldn't necessarily have stopped us from buying the car--we simply would have known about it going into the purchase. read more

Buyer beware, especially if you're purchasing a vehicle that's difficult to replace. I love the car I purchased from Carvana, but I'm extremely disappointed with how they handled an undisclosed condition issue. The driver's door had significant paint damage that was not disclosed and was not accurately represented in the listing photos. The vehicle looked considerably better in the photos than it did upon delivery. I reported the issue immediately, yet Carvana offered only a $200 credit toward damage that could easily cost well over $1,000 to properly repair. Their other solution was essentially to return the car. That's not much of a solution when you've purchased a specific, harder-to-find vehicle and there isn't a comparable replacement available. I chose to keep the car because I genuinely love it, but I'll now have to pay out of pocket to correct a problem that should have been disclosed before the sale. I love the car. I'm unhappy with Carvana. Those are two separate things. My advice: inspect your vehicle very carefully at delivery and don't assume the listing photos tell the whole story. Well, it was $1100 less because of 2 very small dents that would be fixed if i had $200. I felt this was unfair but the agent knew i was ready to sell and i had not realized i needed to bargain with him. Well, the process of buying was pretty straightforward. After 7 days and 100 miles I was no longer available to exchange the vehicle and I knew that. Last weekend I took the vehicle a trip up in the mountains. Unfortunately, when I started coming down these mountains the brakes were not working properly. Strong vibrations and shaking. I obviously made it home. I checked the Carvana warranty, doesn't cover brakes. I checked the Carfax again and it states at around 36k miles the brakes were serviced. I then checked the Carvana 150 point inspection, where it states for brakes, fixed or repaired. I scheduled a service at my local Subaru dealership. Just got back from there. Completely inspected, all good except rear brakes where the pads were cheap and the rotors were never replaced or shaved down for the new pads. So, the pads quickly wore out and the rotors warped from over heating. With that said, I obviously had to replace both pads and rotors. Cost- $704.00. After paying 31k plus for vehicle, I had to replace brakes. Candidly, I'm happy I didn't get into a accident. I like the car, just think someone dropped the ball on a extremely important safety issue. read more
