    Better Earth Bowl
    Lam H.

I love Aubergine. They serve really healthy and yummy food. They have a bunch of gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan options. I got the Better Earth Bowl, which contains quinoa, mushroom, brocooli, avocado, etc, with a mango dressing. Each salad or bowl comes with a piece of cheesebread, which was so delicious. I loved the crispy skin with a chewy texture inside. The service was pretty quick. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The place is clean. I think the tables can be moved around, so this location can accommodate big groups as well. They have bakery items and desserts available. I haven't tried them though, because they are REALLY pricey. I guess that's one reason I've only gone to Aubergine like once a year. The bowl I got cost $15; note that it didn't contain any meat. Other places that sell healthy bowls like this are cheaper. I think they need to either lower the price or increase the portions.

My wife and girls really enjoy Aubergine Kitchen. I got the tri-tip and mac & cheese. I thought the mac & cheese was really gross. I like the sauce they put on the tri-tip. Also not a fan of their shakes. This location was under construction so it was confusing, but I'm assuming that's temporary.

This review is for a uber eats order Food arrived pretty quickly and was delicious. Simple healthy tasty food. Super basic and super good!

HEMP TABOULI, QUINOA and SIDE OF FALAFEL. All side dishes to create a meal for my cravings. It was perfectly delicious.

Came to give this place another try. It is one of few healthy options and I really want to like this place. The chicken Parmesan is a dish that would usually come breaded w something and a solid piece of chicken. This was sliced unbreaded chicken the same as the use in the salads. The majority of this dish was just cheese. On a good note the cheese was good and the sauce. The chicken was the show stopper for me.

Always tasty, love that it's healthy and fresh. Hardest part is always choosing between so many good options! I was disappointed though bc online it said they had cesear dressing but they don't. Sooooo... putting updated menu photos here!

Tri-Tip Madeira Bowl & Mediterranean Bowl

I usually stay away from the more "basic" places in Orem/Provo, but Aubergine is a good one. Service is fairly fast, and there's a lot of seating inside. It's decently priced (~$15/bowl), portions are fairly big, and the variety of food (veggies, protein, carbs) you get in a bowl is great! Our go-to's are the Tri-tip Madeira Bowl and the Mediterranean Bowl. The tri-tip bowl has a light sauce that covers the rice & mushrooms, and there's sweet potato in it too! The Mediterranean has SO many different veggie components (so colorful and flavorful!) and the falafel is pretty good! And it comes with a lot of hummus and two sauces. The cheese bread was a bit hard/dry this time, but it's usually better. Overall, definitely come here if you're looking for a well-balanced and decently-priced meal!

When we arrived and sat down, we were greeted by Joe telling us that "House rules, you're not allowed to order the same item". Lol. Love that guy! We both ordered Denver omelets, one without onions, extra mushrooms, French toast, and grits and one without mushrooms, hash browns, and pancakes. First off, the pancakes were amazing! They're light, had crispy edges, and had a wonderful flavor. But the best thing was it was in the shape of little donuts, which was a nice surprise. Our entrees came but were somehow got switched. We didn't realize it at first but both were still good. Unfortunately, my wife put Chalula on hers and I put Tobasco on mine and we don't like each other's choice of condiments. The other unfortunate thing was that I had an eggshell in my omelet. Even though we had these misfortunes you can't hide the flavor of these dishes and they certainly don't skimp on toppings. My grits were too sweet today. If it's too sweet for me, it must've been really sweet. The only other criticism I saw was that they were filling the syrup bottles from large Log Cabin jugs. They also were using Idahoan shredded potatoes from a large carton. I can understand the potatoes but how great would it be to have freshly made syrup. Still a great experience and they are still one of the best breakfast places on the state.

I recommend joining the waitlist in advance. It's tough to choose from such a wide range of delicious options, but my go-to pick is always the Mixed Berry Dutch Baby, Baby! The berry syrup and cream cheese topping set it apart from other breakfast places. We also had the Classic Breakfast Special, with crispy bacon cut thick to perfection. The interior is one of the most distinctive things about the place. Nearly all the Art Deco furnishings, the booths, mahogany paneling, black glass counter, and light fixtures, were salvaged from Lamb's Grill, a Salt Lake City restaurant that had operated since 1919 before closing in 2017. Eating here feels a bit like dining inside a piece of Utah history. The service is usually excellent, and you can tell they take the motto behind their name seriously: "True service is true religion." This visit, our waitress did seem in a rush to turn the table, but the quality of the food made it easy to overlook. Worth noting: they run a Second Chances charity that supports people in recovery from addiction, those reintegrating into society after incarceration, and folks rebuilding after financial hardship or other life challenges. It's a meaningful mission, and it's part of what makes this place feel different from your average breakfast spot.

When I reminded them that they are in violation of the Americans With Disabilities Act, the manager, Mirta Solis just shrugged and said that's the policy. Now, if it were a crowded restaurant I could definitely understand them, offering me a seat on the patio. However, it is 50°, I'm dressed in shorts and a T-shirt, and I would be uncomfortably chilly having to sit outside. Regardless of my comfort, this is still of course, a violation of the Americans With Disabilities Act. Service dog handlers beware, this is not a restaurant in compliance with the ADA. But then came the steak, which was flat-out the best I've had in years. No notes. Here's the thing though, I'm not a gnocchi person. Never have been. Our server talked me into it anyway, and I'm genuinely grateful. It's a short rib and stew situation with gnocchi that somehow hits every note perfectly. Total convert now. And the s'mores pie to close out the night? Simply perfect. Don't skip it. The service was great too, our server clearly knew the menu inside and out and steered us exactly right.

However, we did have one drink server where we had some issues with, but our main waitress was lovely. For starters, our table shared the baked ricotta, balsamic glazed brussel sprouts, and bread rolls with honey and butter. The brussel sprouts were good, but the bread rolls were my favorite! They were so incredibly soft and pillowy. They honestly didn't even need the bread and butter! I was most excited for the baked ricotta, but unfortunately it was a disappointment for me. Ricotta is a very mild cheese to begin with, but I tasted absolutely zero flavor from it and it was mostly just adding a textural element to the bread. The fig walnut guanciale jam was overpoweringly sweet and the guanciale was also nonexistent. Overall, what I expected to be a flavorful combination, fell pretty flat and bland for me. Onto the main, I got to try the Block burger and the house made gnocchi. The burger was a standard burger, nothing too crazy. I was surprised the patty was actually moist because it was cooked well done. The same jam from the baked ricotta was used, so wasn't a big fan of it because again the overwhelmingly sweet didn't do much to elevate the burger. I also missed any flavor from the truffle cheese sauce. So it was a pretty average burger. My gnocchi definitely tasted better than it looked. Another friend also got the same dish and it looked like they just split our portions in half and served it on two separate plates. In general, I wasn't a big fan of this dish. The braised short rib was very tender, but the whole plate sat in a pool of salty sauce. I couldn't really make out any other flavors. The scoop of crème fraiche tasted exactly like sour cream and was not the consistency that I expected. The gnocchi's were made well, but I prefer mine a little firmer. However, this is complete personal preference. Overall, service was good, but food fell severely short of what I expected. I was so excited for all of these elevated flavors and ingredients, but, sadly, none of them came through.
