    Better Earth Bowl
    Lam H.

I love Aubergine. They serve really healthy and yummy food. They have a bunch of gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan options. I got the Better Earth Bowl, which contains quinoa, mushroom, brocooli, avocado, etc, with a mango dressing. Each salad or bowl comes with a piece of cheesebread, which was so delicious. I loved the crispy skin with a chewy texture inside. The service was pretty quick. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The place is clean. I think the tables can be moved around, so this location can accommodate big groups as well. They have bakery items and desserts available. I haven't tried them though, because they are REALLY pricey. I guess that's one reason I've only gone to Aubergine like once a year. The bowl I got cost $15; note that it didn't contain any meat. Other places that sell healthy bowls like this are cheaper. I think they need to either lower the price or increase the portions.

My wife and girls really enjoy Aubergine Kitchen. I got the tri-tip and mac & cheese. I thought the mac & cheese was really gross. I like the sauce they put on the tri-tip. Also not a fan of their shakes. This location was under construction so it was confusing, but I'm assuming that's temporary.

Always tasty, love that it's healthy and fresh. Hardest part is always choosing between so many good options! I was disappointed though bc online it said they had cesear dressing but they don't. Sooooo... putting updated menu photos here!

Tri-Tip Madeira Bowl & Mediterranean Bowl

I usually stay away from the more "basic" places in Orem/Provo, but Aubergine is a good one. Service is fairly fast, and there's a lot of seating inside. It's decently priced (~$15/bowl), portions are fairly big, and the variety of food (veggies, protein, carbs) you get in a bowl is great! Our go-to's are the Tri-tip Madeira Bowl and the Mediterranean Bowl. The tri-tip bowl has a light sauce that covers the rice & mushrooms, and there's sweet potato in it too! The Mediterranean has SO many different veggie components (so colorful and flavorful!) and the falafel is pretty good! And it comes with a lot of hummus and two sauces. The cheese bread was a bit hard/dry this time, but it's usually better. Overall, definitely come here if you're looking for a well-balanced and decently-priced meal!

Love this place. Fresh food, nice casual atmosphere. The mango salmon is one of my favorite.

I love aubergine. As a brazilian, I love the many nods to our local cuisine with the Rio Bowl, pão de queijo, The açai bowls and etc. the Rio bowl is always guaranteed to be 5 stars. I love that dressing over the turmeric rice, beans and the chicken. The reason why I'm giving this review a four stars and not five is because I come here so often, I do see some minor inconsistencies: - there have been a couple of times where they forget to ask or completely fail to give me the complementary pão de queijo - I had to ask for the dressing for my bowl a couple of times in the past month because someone forgot it.: - carrots and sweet potatoes need to be cooked a bit longer, in my opinion. I got a tri-tip madeira bowl on December 30th and the sweet potatoes were super cold and not fully roasted and the carrots were basically raw inside. I like raw carrots but if you advertise roasted carrots, give me those. Like I said, minor things. I've been coming back here super often because not only does the food taste great, but it is also healthier than most places nearby.

Without a doubt, one of my favorite places to eat. The selection is wonderful. The food is fresh, and I always feel better after eating at Aubergine. My go to is the Rio bowl, but I also love all of their salads. Don't forget to try an açai bowl or some of the nice cream. I usually go for chocolate with almond butter, honey, and fresh raspberries.

Curry bowl dry, not enough curry sauce. Glad I had it to go so I could add 1/2 cup of curry sauce at home to make it taste good.

When we arrived and sat down, we were greeted by Joe telling us that "House rules, you're not allowed to order the same item". Lol. Love that guy! We both ordered Denver omelets, one without onions, extra mushrooms, French toast, and grits and one without mushrooms, hash browns, and pancakes. First off, the pancakes were amazing! They're light, had crispy edges, and had a wonderful flavor. But the best thing was it was in the shape of little donuts, which was a nice surprise. Our entrees came but were somehow got switched. We didn't realize it at first but both were still good. Unfortunately, my wife put Chalula on hers and I put Tobasco on mine and we don't like each other's choice of condiments. The other unfortunate thing was that I had an eggshell in my omelet. Even though we had these misfortunes you can't hide the flavor of these dishes and they certainly don't skimp on toppings. My grits were too sweet today. If it's too sweet for me, it must've been really sweet. The only other criticism I saw was that they were filling the syrup bottles from large Log Cabin jugs. They also were using Idahoan shredded potatoes from a large carton. I can understand the potatoes but how great would it be to have freshly made syrup. Still a great experience and they are still one of the best breakfast places on the state.

This warm, friendly welcome set the tone for the whole experience. Joe stopped by and told us the "rules". Everyone orders something different and we all share. My husband got the eggs & diced ham with a side of biscuits and gravy. My son got the French Dip because you can order breakfast or lunch at 10 am. Everyone ate a good portion if not all of their food. It was good. We will definitely be back. For the food but more for the service!

I recommend joining the waitlist in advance. It's tough to choose from such a wide range of delicious options, but my go-to pick is always the Mixed Berry Dutch Baby, Baby! The berry syrup and cream cheese topping set it apart from other breakfast places. We also had the Classic Breakfast Special, with crispy bacon cut thick to perfection. The interior is one of the most distinctive things about the place. Nearly all the Art Deco furnishings, the booths, mahogany paneling, black glass counter, and light fixtures, were salvaged from Lamb's Grill, a Salt Lake City restaurant that had operated since 1919 before closing in 2017. Eating here feels a bit like dining inside a piece of Utah history. The service is usually excellent, and you can tell they take the motto behind their name seriously: "True service is true religion." This visit, our waitress did seem in a rush to turn the table, but the quality of the food made it easy to overlook. Worth noting: they run a Second Chances charity that supports people in recovery from addiction, those reintegrating into society after incarceration, and folks rebuilding after financial hardship or other life challenges. It's a meaningful mission, and it's part of what makes this place feel different from your average breakfast spot.

This caused us to have to wait for almost 30 more minutes past our reservation time before we could be seated. But every time we come here the wait (for those who have reservations) is always super long and usually it takes a while for food to arrive. Food is delicious, love the food. However, we did have one drink server where we had some issues with, but our main waitress was lovely. For starters, our table shared the baked ricotta, balsamic glazed brussel sprouts, and bread rolls with honey and butter. The brussel sprouts were good, but the bread rolls were my favorite! They were so incredibly soft and pillowy. They honestly didn't even need the bread and butter! I was most excited for the baked ricotta, but unfortunately it was a disappointment for me. Ricotta is a very mild cheese to begin with, but I tasted absolutely zero flavor from it and it was mostly just adding a textural element to the bread. The fig walnut guanciale jam was overpoweringly sweet and the guanciale was also nonexistent. Overall, what I expected to be a flavorful combination, fell pretty flat and bland for me. Onto the main, I got to try the Block burger and the house made gnocchi. The burger was a standard burger, nothing too crazy. I was surprised the patty was actually moist because it was cooked well done. The same jam from the baked ricotta was used, so wasn't a big fan of it because again the overwhelmingly sweet didn't do much to elevate the burger. I also missed any flavor from the truffle cheese sauce. So it was a pretty average burger. My gnocchi definitely tasted better than it looked. Another friend also got the same dish and it looked like they just split our portions in half and served it on two separate plates. In general, I wasn't a big fan of this dish. The braised short rib was very tender, but the whole plate sat in a pool of salty sauce. I couldn't really make out any other flavors. The scoop of crème fraiche tasted exactly like sour cream and was not the consistency that I expected. The gnocchi's were made well, but I prefer mine a little firmer. However, this is complete personal preference. Overall, service was good, but food fell severely short of what I expected. I was so excited for all of these elevated flavors and ingredients, but, sadly, none of them came through.
