We paid $7000 to have these people rodent proof our house, redo the insulation, and take care of the cleanup of any damage the rodents had done. We were told it included a 10 year warranty on their work, we've had to call the back 3 times and the issue still hasn't been resolved and now Richard Barns, the owner has not responded to me in over a week. The initial area I told him was my main concern was never addressed in any of the visits by any of his teams that he sent. We gave them $7000 and he can't even be bothered to return my texts. I'd like my money back for incomplete work and ignoring the warranty I paid for by ignoring my texts, but that's not going to happen from these kind of people. Not worth the money or time. read more

You know how cats know things that we don't? My cat started staring intently at the living room wall next to the fireplace. At first I thought she was just tripping, but then we heard a scratching noise, so we started looking for rodent removal services. We had never had rodents in the eight years we have lived in our house, so I was sure it was a problem in the attic because we had an HVAC system installed last year. Attic Projects sent Mason out to do a thorough review of our attic and crawl space. It turned out we did not have rodents in the attic, but they were in the crawl space, and we had a mold issue in the attic. The insulation in both needed to be replaced, rodent proofing and mold remediation needed to be done, and that's not a cheap project. I ended up getting a couple of other bids for the job since it was a significant amount of money, but Attic Projects got my business both because of the promise of a 10-year guarantee as well as Mason's presentation and follow-through. He provided a ton of pictures and explained what I was seeing in the pics. He followed up with me a couple of days after the visit, which the only other company I was seriously considering did not do. I had a lot of skepticism and questions for him, which he answered promptly and professionally, so it really felt more like a conversation than a sales pitch. The other company still actually hasn't followed up with me and the project is done now. To me, communication is important throughout these big jobs on my home. After we did the paperwork to get the job going, including financing, Mason got me on the schedule and the team arrived to do the job. Treasure was the team lead and her communication was great as well. When you have a crew of strangers working on your home it's always good to know when they will be coming and going and what exactly they are up to. One thing that's interesting about this company is they have separate inspectors that come and take a look at the work and give advice to the crew as well as following up with me on the status and providing a ton of photos. That gave me some comfort since I really couldn't tell you if the crew is doing a good job. Their office manager, Brittany, sent me more photos after the job was done, showing everything they did, so I can compare the before/after. Overall I found Attic Projects very professional, good communication and easy to work with. Keep in mind I am writing this just a few days after the completion of my project. I will try to remember to come update the review in the future with more experiences especially if I ever need to test the 10-year guarantee. read more

I got a quote for a sump pump install in my crawlspace, and replace a vapor barrier, and they honored the quote seven months later when I had the money to move forward! The crew was respectful, thorough, and careful. I appreciated their updates along the way, and the photos they shared during and after the project was complete. See some in my review. The Project Manager was easy to work with, and was super communicative about the Project, expectations, and financing options. I qualified for financing that offered 10% down and 0% interest for 12 months. (Terms based off of credit, and no guarantee that they'll keep doing this in the future.) I hired Attic Projects to remediate a mold situation in my attic and to cleanup, reinsulate, and rodent-proof my crawl space. I was not disappointed. On the last day of the project Fred came out and handled the tightest areas in the attic that were really hard to get to. He also walked through a couple issues I had with the project so far and resolved them for me. Then he found a couple of other things in the crawl space that he just thought could be done a little better and buttoned that up as well. I really can't say enough how impressed I was with Fred's professionalism and work ethic. Aside from Fred the other crew members I interacted with over my multi-day project were also very professional and respectful of my home. In particular Lucas, Max, Hector, Michael, and Ethan all stopped their work to answer my questions and keep me updated and they left my house clean each day. Eric Sean and izzy from attic projects Everett came out to fix our attick insulation that the builder didn't do. They are a great crew. They took the time to set up to protect the house from mess while ensuring we still had access. They worked well together and were pretty fast. They replaced our fallen baffles and we are going to have them put in a solar fan for av efficiency too. They took photos of the before and after which were very detailed. They did a great job removing our attic mold! Small cramped low roof, hard to get to but the came in and got the job done.

These folks are amazing! I had a hole in my roof that leaked water into one of my attics. After the roof repair, Mason (the PM) came to give me an estimate and explain what he had found up there. The crew arrived the next day. Derrick and Brittany took great care to mask off the attic entry from the rest of the house, hauled out all of the old insulation, installed the new, and sanitized both of my attics. Our crawl space has a hatch opening through a closet, it also is a tight fit. Our water pipes were freezing the last two years so we needed better insulation. We got 3 different bids and the differences started there. Mason spent time inside, in the crawl space, and walking around outside. He asked lots of questions and answered all of ours. We got a bid right away. His price was almost double what the others were. We did our research and checked reviews on Yelp, Google, and the BBB, and they had a positive overall rating. 10 year warranty. When asbestos was discovered they found a removal company for us. They were fast, efficient, professional, and communicated with us through out the project. It was worth every penny. Our house is so much warmer and we aren't worried about rodents or worn out insulation in the crawl space. I highly recommend this company. read more

Attic Projects removed the massive rodent problem I had in my attic space. It was a big job that took 2 days. There were problems the first day and I voiced these to the project manager Mason. Mason and Nick, the ops manager came to my house to take a look at what transpired. They were apologetic and committed to make it right. They did more than that! On the second day, they brought in a top crew consisting of Hector, Eric, and Vidal. This team was professional, communicative, and skilled. It was obvious that they knew what they were doing. My attic spaces were spotless and they even gave me quite a bit more insulation than I paid for as a bonus. These guys are the best! We had a Sump Pump installed and from the sales person who came to check to the crews they were all knowledgeable, professional and friendly. They actually go above and beyond and the ten year guarantee made us feel confident. They show up on time as scheduled and call before they arrive so we didn't have to sit around waiting. They return call quickly as well. I can't remember ever having service this good, they take great pride in their work and it shows. There was a minor issue with the Pump making a squeak and they came back the same week fixed it on the spot and did another inspection of the whole crawl space and inspected each vent and did another rodent check as well. My experience in August 2023: after getting 3 free appraisal/estimates (barely comparable), I selected Attic Projects ('Attic & Crawlspace Experts', Everett: https://www.atticprojectscompany.com/faqs/). Cost-wise, in the middle; but still - an pretty substantial expense. Attic Projects gave me the clearest proposal (incl description of the space, what they would do, and information about the materials being used). Art (the company rep) dealt with my questions well. The proposal he produced seemed the most rational and included some warranty on the work and materials. This company didn't try to up-sell: they assessed that I didn't need a sump-pump or dehumidifier, and the company does not link the warranty to ongoing service fees for monthly rodent inspections. My crawlspace is a bit tight, and I was not comfortable going into it myself to inspect the work. Based on photos and follow-up, I think they did a good job. Time will tell, esp. if any additional follow-up service is needed. The process: after accepting the proposal, an team was sent to do the work. On Day 1, they cleaned the crawl space, incl. removing insulation and vapor barrier (all rodent contaminated), then sanitized the space. They also did spot treatment for mold on beams where a early mold specs were showing. The project included sealing areas (inside and outside) where rodents might enter; and installing a better entry hatch (with no gaps). Finally, they set baited traps around the crawlspace overnight. Day 2, they checked traps, and removed them. They replaced the insulation & vapor barrier, and set traps inside (just in case). After Day 2, the project coordinator (who did the initial inspection & proposal) came and inspected the final work. He briefed me on things he identified as gaps, then organized a follow-up team to do some additional insulating (corners/bends of pipes), still within the original cost. I was provided photographs at all stages, to clarify the explanation during briefings. It's been about a month since the work was completed. The project coordinator suggested that next spring/summer, I call them to come out to inspect again (to check for new crawlspace visitors). I would recommend the company - Art worked well with me, and I feel confident that he made sure the work was well done. Along with this recommendation, I still endorse getting at least 3 estimates, as comparable as possible. Also, pay attention to independent reviews on how companies handle communication and any follow-up services. It's a big expense. Different presentations or proposals can help confirm what is actually required. read more

We brought in Attic Projects to check on our whole house fan that seemed not to be working per normal. What they found was quite a mess with our roof vents clogged, the fan disconnected from the ducting, and a huge layer of dust over all of the installation. We contracted them to remove, clean, and reinstall the fan and the ducting. Remove and replace all insulation and unblock and clean all roof vents. They did a superb job and suggested adding a few more vents which we'll do before next summer comes around. Their team were all professional, friendly and left our home in great dust-free shape. Use this company if you want to pay more than double for the project. The 'project manager' lied about issues in the attic and embellished issues in the crawl space, used scare tactics and high pressure sales tactics to try and get me to accept an outrageously high estimate. This sales person also was disrespectful of my time when I stated I had a work call in 30 minutes and needed to either finishing reviewing the estimate via email or be able to finish reviewing before that call time. This guy just kept lying and arguing false claims of leaks and effort that did not need to be done, for example he said the LED lights (they don't access the attic) needed to be "sealed". If these were can lights I might have bought it. When I called him out on the lights he said "Oh, we don't charge for that anyway so..." Then why did you mention it as part of the reason for the high cost? He also included costs to replace all of the insulation in the crawlspace and made false claims of the rodent issue being much, much worse then it actually was. I have since had 2 other estimates and both came in around the same price which were less than half the cost of the estimate these guys provided. If you have money to burn, then indeed go for it, these are your guys. WIsh I could give zero stars, they deserve. read more
