We went to drop off my bf phone for a trade in and the agent took it put in bag wrote name on it and said good to go. Never received confirmation number nor anything. It was our first time trading in so we didn't know the process. It's been two billing cycles and we are now stuck with a newer phone and making payments paying it off because they somehow lost the phone after I reached out to customer service they said there's no tracking on the trade in so went back to this store and told them there's no tracking nothing that shows we turned it in. They said the agent that helped us that day didn't do the trade in good so they can't find the phone of course they can't it's been two months hence the two billing cycles we waited. I dropped off my old phone for trade in at this store since 20 days and still they didn't shipped back for trading, I asked for a receipt or confirmation and no one helped, they refused to gave me any confirmation that I dropped my phone. I talked to agent online who confirmed they never started the trade in return process. I called them and spent 20 min waiting on hold and then they asked me to come next day and see the manager. The manager never helped. There were two employees guys just standing their with no support. Anyway, if Im going to lose my trade in deal. I will sue them. As someone who's worked retail I try to avoid writing reviews on customer service jobs unless the service is THAT bad. This place is THAT bad. Honestly all the employees came off as low level burn outs who could barely function a computer. This includes the manager Noe. I had two encounters with this store. The first time, the worker seemed to immediately want me out the store. As if "I was being a dick for making him do his job". I didn't even get to finish my sentence before he said "oh.. Nah we can't do that". Then when I finished he's like... "yeah I guess I can". The whole transaction was a phone trade. I had heard shady stories of AT&T before so I made sure to ask all the questions multiple times and even involved the manager before I completed my trade. I just wanted to be assured I got the credit as promised by his associate. The manager said he swore his life on it, I was worried for nothing, he'd handle it personally if it was wrong. (You don't know the credit is applied correctly til two months on future bill) Boom, two months came. Wrong credit amount. I go in and talk to the manager Noe. Immediately he finds any excuse he can. Making up, "oh oh uh phone was broke ". Even though they checked it at trade in and marked it good enough for promo. Basically he hid his neck, whatever neck he has, and told me to take it up with a corporate store . Basically "tough tits". I can't say all for certain all AT&T's are like this. Staff told me to go to Verizon or the Santee at&t store. Guy didn't know anything about getting an unlimited data plan for an iPad. Also couldn't answer any of my questions about credit pulls for opening an account and said he couldn't guarantee any advertised pricing for the $20 a month post paid unlimited plan for iPads and tablets that they advertise! All I can say is I run a business in a similar industry and each of my sales reps are well versed and able to answer more basic questions than the ones I asked the guy behind the at&t counter. I only give this place 1 star because I cant give it a 0 star. The manager here is a completely rude and ATT should be ashamed to have him as a manger. I had 3 lines on a Family Talk plan for $155 a month and one of his representatives talked me into switching to a next plan that would supposedly end up costing me a cheaper rate. Got my first bill and I was charged $100 more totaling $255 because apparently his employee forgot to transfer all 3 lines and only transferred 2 lines so I was being charged 2 different rate plans. When I tried to explain this to him he started yelling at me in front of other customers and employees how he does not know what his employee told me or what happened as he was not there but I agreed to that and there was nothing he could do about it. He is a complete asshole! I called customer service Joyce W. sweetest lady ever and within 15min she had my plan completely fixed along with $109 credit to make up for the fees I incurred! Dealing with the douche manager at this store truly makes me think about changing carriers! read more

Best customer service! Thank you Amir! My wife's Android phone broke a couple of days ago. Good thing she had insurance coverage so we were paid by the insurance company for the unsubsidized price of the phone. We went and look for a used replacement phone to use for the meantime until we are eligible to upgrade next year. We found an iPhone seller on Craigslist and we decided to meet at this ATT store. Once at the store, we told Mr. Amir what business we have and if he could help us with verifying the imei number of the iPhone to make sure the iPhone was not blocked or stolen. Amir was very professional and he really helped us making sure the phone is good to go and we will not have any issue. Aside from verifying the imei, transferring the iPhone account to ours, he also helped us transferring all of our contacts to our new phone. Although we were charged for the SIM card ($25 each), he suggested calling Att corporate and explain our situation and see if the $50 SIM card charges can be waived. We did what he told us and ATT credited us $50 for our next bill. Mr. Amir really raised the bar in customer service! I went there yesterday to change my phone number because I recently moved here to Descanso, so I wanted a local number. I went there and there were about 5 reps talking to clients very into it. No welcome to ATT or anything. Oh well. Get ready for a quick story... I came to this location twice because they moved the location in lakeside and the first time I was helped lady that tried to help was a shorter black woman and I hadn't even finished my sentence before she let me know she couldn't help me.... Automatically she says "Sorry we don't do that here call customer care or go to a corporate location" and I as I was walking out I seen her shrugs her shoulders to her fellow Co worker and laugh??? not good for a "sales" person... My son was in sales and even if it's a "complaint" or just assistance on service, he will help a customer and make the situation hopefully into A SALE! Well I came back a second time because it is the ONLY location close by now... I was helped by Gloria and she was friendly and approachable. She got me to upgrade my phone... This employee helped me first THEN gave me all the benefits of upgrading... She was patient and happy to help... She installed my screen protector and let me know what I was able to do on my account with just an APP. My only advise to the company, if you're going to limit or cut down on locations, have your employees at least seem like they like their job!!! Recently, I was in the market of a new phone carrier, since I already has Uverse with ATT I decided to try out ATT. I walked into the store, there was no waiting.The sales rep Andrew patiently answered all my question, was knowlwdge about the different plans and assisted me with transferring my services. At the time, I did not have money to pay the taxes for the phone, so I returned the following week. This time, the store has one customer, which I was quickly assisted by Anthony who assisted we some accesories, ordering my new Apple 7 plus phone and expeditiously offer some humor as he quickly process my transaction. My experience on both occasions was handled exceptionally well. I felt as though I was given their undivided attention, both Andrew & Anthony were attentive to my needs, they listened carefully and did not try to upsale me. The store was helpful in letting me know that they where not able to help and I would have to call AT&T directly. AT&T has been absolutely horrible the multiple times I have called. I have very bad reception at my house even though it is in the middle of town and within eye shot of the freeway. I have asked about the many different options to boost my reception but AT&T is very unhelpful. Warning: AT&T on Broadway in El Cajon will have you arrested for complaining about the long wait. On 4/1/2016, I went into the store and noticed that 5 customers were ahead of me but only one AT&T Rep was helping while the other Rep was stocking phones. Thus, I went over to ask the Rep who was stocking to please assist the other Rep. Suddenly, Lisa, the Rep who was struggling to help us started yelling at me. I told Lisa, I was upset because because of the long wait and wanted to ask the other rep if she could help us. So we got into a heated argument and Lisa told to leave the store because she was not going to help me for being rude. I told her I have been an AT&T customer for over 12 yrs and needed her to accept my payment. Lisa, told me to leave the store or she was going to have me arrested.I thought she was joking but to my amazement she called the El Cajon Police and had me REMOVED from the store. I purchased the Samsung 5. I wanted to replace it with the Apple Iphone. 14th day. I brought my phone back with the box...accidentally missing the box top. Yes, just the cardboard box top missing. They called it a major component of the phone and were going to charge me $55 if they were to refund me in the exchange.
