Went to buy a phone earlier this week and worked with BOSCO. He asked if I wanted insurance, I said No. i deliberately said NO, and i got my bill today and sure enough it was added on. I called into corporate and confirmed it was his ATTUID used to add on the feature. This is fraudulent. They add insurance to every sale regardless of what you want, in order to hit goals, with the hopes that the customer does not notice for 6 months so they can avoid chargebacks. Do NOT go to this new Arcadia location next to SinBala! They will RUIN your screen protector installation by not properly following instructions to use the guide posts.  Very disappointed in the service provided by Chris and Audrey. We usually go to the Alhambra store, but they are temporarily closed. I brought our iphone 14 with a $50 Bodyguardz replacement screen protector, which we bought from AT&T when we upgraded the phone.  Chris ignored my comments that he needed to put the phone in the protector container and use the rail before peeling off the backing. He didn't listen or understand the instructions, then had no clue how to install. His co-worker Audrey just "free-handed" and put it on completely crooked. Then Chris did not smooth the protector correctly either, and within days, there were giant bubbles. When I called back, they refused to give me a replacement from their store, claiming they had no iphone 14 Pro screen protectors of ANY brand. That is a huge lie, as I am currently at the Rosemead AT&T store with Tee & Patrick immediately installed an AT&T screen protector with lifetime warranty. They did a perfect and fast installation. DON'T DO IT. One of my very very few terrible reviews, and I'm always sad that I have to write one of these. People just need to avoid this store... it's sad that the bad economy is making people act shady, but it's still no excuse to have to lie and cheat people. Please be good business/sales people. My family has given this store business quite a few times, man referrals, and sadly, this recent event left a bad taste in my mouth. He did not even bother to say it's $30 for EACHPHONE LINE. That's an EXTRA $90 a MONTH. I don't know how you can get away with adding an extra $60 on top of the $30 without explaining it. I had to call AT&T to have them explain it to me. Again, I wouldn't have cared about paying $90, except he didn't even bother to explain. [-1] Agent Kyle did not tell me the new plan will cost more. He told my dad that it will be $30 on top of the OLD plan price ($105). The NEW plan price (which he did NOT explain) is $120. So not only did he lie about each line costing an extra $90, he did not even bother to tell my dad what the new plan price was. [-1] My dad drove all the way from TORRANCE to receive CUSTOMER SERVICE here. That's around 25 miles, just to have the agent lie and cheat him. I would be embarassed to hand out my own business card if I were him. [+1] The only star this place gets, is the fact that you can cancel within 30 days. Thank. Freaking. Goodness! read more

Time to upgrade and reluctantly sign a new 2-year contract with AT&T. I have quite a bit of rollover, so I wanted to stay with AT&T. This is the first time I've signed a contract with a cell company in several years, so I was not looking forward to it. I am on a family plan, so my family all got new phones since I was signing a new contract. I went to Advanced Wireless Group on Valley in San Gabriel by chance. AT&T says that phones are "free" or "$50" after rebate, but they don't tell you that you have to pay $18 per line as an "upgrade fee" or you have to pay tax on the retail price of the phone (which are $300 to $400). These fees and taxes add up quickly. I ended up paying $351 for three phones. I'll get $150 in rebates, so the total after rebates is $201. Two of the phones were $50 after rebate, so essentially I paid $101 in taxes for the phones and SIM cards. The $18 "upgrade fees" will be on my next bill. Jessica at Advanced Wireless Group helped me. She's very helpful, knowledgeable, patient and thorough (with paperwork, working the phones, explanations to questions). Also, one of the best things aobut AWG is that it's right next to a Tea Station, so yummy boba while waiting for your new phone. read more

This is a terrible business, and I feel like I've dealt with too many recently. They forget to inform you about extra charges and new plan prices. It really shouldn't be this way. AT&T company is very upfront about their charges (as they should be). The other stores acting as agents should also represent the company in a better way. They would get more business being honest. I have been here many times and this time they have disappointed me. The agent lied and misinformed me about my plan and caused me to upgrade to something that was not the better deal. I will file with the BBB (Better Business Bureau) soon for this company, and I think the people who did not receive their rebate should do so also. read more

AWG really sucks! I signed a two-year contract of ATT family plan at AWG. There is $300 rebate for not upgrading our phones. According to the contract, the rebate should be available Apr 7th. I called AWG every Friday in the last three weeks. And their answers were always that "your check will be available next Friday, call us then." The whole thing has repeated for three weeks and go on. One of their employees Hunter even hung up my phone. Will avoid them in the future. read more

I just hang up the phone with one of their representative called David. He just mock at me for not going to AT&T store directly but going to AWG store instead. Their service is horrible. I started an AT&T family plan with them and was told that the phone my little girl want will be in the store in a few days. However, when I went to the store after a few days, they still did not have the phone. Guess what? I didn't get the first sony ericsson until 2 weeks later. Yes! I have to pay for the service even without having a phone. After my little girl got her phone two weeks later, we found out that phone had a long contact list with people we don't know in it. They told us they gave us the someone else's phone by mistake. You don't want to know my experience with my iphone with AWG. They don't carry any and they will not tell you when you walk in the store. They just want your business. They told me the iphone will send to my house in a few days, Again, it didn't happen. When I go back to them, they told me they will do it again and I should get my iphone in a few day. Guess what, it didn't happen. When I called, they told me I just have to go to a AT&T store directly to get it. I received a collection letter a few days ago after I have been using my cell phones for 5 month, they want to charge me $300 penalty fee because I changed my plan. I changed my plan in the AWG store and was agreed by their manager since I have discount with AT&T from my employer. When I called and complain with their San Gabriel head office, they told me it was your choice to come to us, too bad! read more

First of all they don't deserve even one star!! This company likes to put misleading advertising to lure you in and then you end up getting different things with bunch BS. That's what happen to us back in August 2010. The time it took to sign up the new contract was long and unprofessional done by 'part-time' sales. We had to return to the store 3-4 time just to get the correct paper work processed. Now we are finding that the store still entered incorrect information on my file with AT&T. And again I was at the store for another 3 hours waiting for them to solve the problem and still couldn't be resolved. It was just a nightmare from the start when we signed the contract and soon after we found out the sales who helped me no longer works there. So i am just pushed to another sales. If you like to get AT&T, go elsewhere but AWG. I would not recommend this store to anyone!! read more

these people are thieves. I went in to upgrade my family plan and bought 2 Iphones from them. They added an additional 2 Ipad lines, $10 each line, without telling me. I don't even had 4G ipads. It's my fault for not reading my bill after enrolling in auto pay. months later, i catch the added $10 ipad line. AT&T credited me half the credits only. These thieves refused to credit the other half. Their excuse was nobody remembered what happened when I went in for upgrade and it was me who didn't hear their plans clearly.. bunch of BS.. read more

personally, i think this place has the worse service ever because the representatives don't really know what's going on with your plan and always give total-BS excuses when you try to get your rebate back. My family plan 2 year contract was signed Aug 08 and they said that i would get back my $18x4 activation fees back after 9 months. When i go in May, they tell me that I have to wait a year instead so I'm like " ok whatever, i live in the area anyways so i'll stop by next time". 3 more months pass by, I go in and they said that i have to wait until the whole year "fully passes' and then I can get my rebate. A month later, they tell me that their computers are down and don't know when it'll be fixed. I'm pissed by now...stopped going for another month and then on dec 7, 09 I went in and this guy named Hunter who says he's the manager tells me that my check was returned to the main office because it expired since it was available in May and I didn't pick it up. WTF?!? he tells me that he'll send in a request and have it by 12/15/09, and if he doesn't, he'll pay me from his "own pocket". DO NOT TRUST THEM on the rebates. The same thing happen to me when I requested a rebate check. I renewed my contract with them on July 2009, and they told me to wait for 9 month for the rebate. So I called them up on April, 2010. Then they told me they have requested a check, and asked me to wait for 3 weeks. I went to their place at the end of May, but they said the system didn't show that I requested a check, so guy who helped me requested check again. I called them up again on June 30th to see if I got my check, then they told me the check was never requested, and the guy on the phone was going to do the requests again. That's when I lost my cool, and told them that its just NOT RIGHT for you guys to make the same mistake 3 times. Then I told the guy that I will call the AT&T customer service and file a dispute against the AWG wireless, then discontinue the service because I was scammed by AWG's rebate offer. So I hung up the phone. 10 mins later AWG called, and told me that some one misplaced the check, and I can go pick it up next day. In sum, don't trust them. They always said wait for 3 weeks for check to arrive, and it didn't, keep calling them until you got your check. read more

All other people's bad reviews are no kidding. AVOID THIS STORE! This store doesn't even worth a star. Came here with my parents to upgrade their phones. Everything was smooth at first. When we were ready to pay, I found out that we would need to pay upgrade fee per phone of $40 in total, $25 to this retailer and $15 to AT&T. I checked on AT&T's website and confirmed the upgrade fee should just be $15 per phone. I asked the sales person what's the additions $25 and I was told that I will need to pay the $25 no matter what, because it's like the "service fee" to have service done here. Totally a rip off!
