Coincidentally I was at the mall and saw the upstairs kiosks. I was told it needed to be replaced and it would take 30 minutes. So I left it and returned only to be told that it needed to be taken downstairs to this store and it would take another 45 minutes. Once returned, I was told by the manager that my front glass was also damaged and that they replaced it free of charge. THERE WASN'T ANY DAMAGE TO MY SCREEN. A few days later, my speaker went out again as well as my screen became noticeably dimmer than before. I took it back and they explained to me the connections were loose and that they tightened the connection and sent me on my way. As far as the screen brightness they told me that that was normal. Fast forward a few weeks, my screen without any accident went green and blue. * IMPORTANT*. I then took it to my regular service store and upon inspection, his findings were unbelievable. He found that the screen was switched out with a low grade aftermarket glass, internal parts were missing, and multiple screws were missing. The cost for the original apple glass was $300.00. The switched glass was a cheaper glass that is a 1/3 of that. I was completely scammed. So from a simple speaker issue that I was charged $55.00, this ordeal cost me $350.00. I have called the current manager and now I'm being told that this store doesn't exist any more and that he doesn't know this guy. Ridiculous, these photos are directly from their own yelp site.

Anyways, I have around 10 to 15 iOS and Apple devices, and almost all of them have been serviced here at this nice mom and pop shop. The owner is sometimes present, and they offer reasonable pricing for fixing your digital devices. This five-star review is for a specific incident when I was getting my iPad fixed. The lady informed me that they didn't have the screen shield I wanted, but she said that if I purchased it, they would install it for me as a bonus. Eventually, I brought in the screen protectors, probably a few months later, though I'm not entirely sure if they remembered what they had promised. Nevertheless, they helped me apply the screen protectors to my iPads anyway. Despite it being a bonus, they took the time to do a meticulous job, especially since the screen was slightly scratched. It's always more challenging to apply a protector when the surface is already damaged, and I appreciate the fact that they spent the time to eliminate all the bubbles and didn't cut corners. Another amusing moment occurred when I entered the shop, and the owner asked if I was there to get the Gundam robots. Apparently, they had these limited-edition models on sale. I had no idea what he was talking about, so when I thought he said "condoms," I was shocked and embarrassed. Lol. The shop is conveniently located tucked in the side of a larger Asian Plaza, right next to the laundromat, which is nice because sometimes it only takes 15 minutes to half an hour to change batteries or fix minor cosmetic dents or replace screens for phones and iPads. Meanwhile, I can conveniently go to Ranch 99 to shop for groceries or have a quick brunch at tenren Tea Time.

I already had past issues with the shop when I went in February to get a laptop screen replaced…read morebecause they damaged my laptop cover with the screwdriver which left a permeant carving. I tried disputing it with my credit card but the merchant lied saying I never contacted them back about the issue. Even though I emailed 2 separate times, called like 4 which one of the calls lasted 10 minutes of me trying to get a refund, and went to the shop 2 separate occasions. I did not immediately approach them right away, I had class after the pick up because I am a college student. I also didn't re-contact my bank back because it is too much effect, I had midterms during then, and if they need the money so badly they can keep it. Now it is July 18 and the cheap replacement they gave me has a fat yellow tint looking like a long vertical line on the left side of my screen. This 100% due to a hardward issue, and now I cannot reach out about the issue because the shop is dishonest, and disingenuous. If you want your laptop worse off come here, if not take the extra money to a different shop with actual integrity.

I was very happy with the service until my screen cracked from a very light touch in May of 2026. I was puzzled that a simple touch to the screen would crack it so easily. After the initial repair, I have always been very mindful of how I interact with my computer, as I work from home and need my computer on a day to day basis. I brought it back to Gadgetneeds to explore solutions. While I was telling the reps what happened one of them asked me "do I believe I the words I say? You must have done other damage to it." I told them that it is really bad business to insist that a customer is lying, and that I refused to pay $350 again to only be faced with the same issue in 4 months. I recommend avoiding this business. It is unfortunate that Gadgetneeds is not only able to stand by their work, but also questioned my integrity while trying to make this repair happen. I will find a business that is able to listen to their customers for this next repair.
