Free parking and awesome staff! They were super friendly and took care of us, We had a party of 3. Forgot to take a picture of the veal :( Delicious food - we got the Caesar salad and a couple of entrees and desserts. Great atmosphere for a big group or smaller gathering. Enjoy!!

My coworker's been craving Italian lately and offered to treat me to lunch, so I didn't want to pick anything that'd break her bank. When she asked where I wanted to go, I said Assaggio sounded good--and she made a reservation at the Kahala location. We were both running late because of meetings, but I called ahead and they were super chill about it. Told us, "Just come when you can." Love this place already. Tbh, I thought it might be a little bougie (Kahala vibes), but the service was great--friendly, not pretentious at all. We started with calamari and shrimp cocktail--solid choices. Couldn't have drinks since we were still working (unfortunately). She ordered the scallop pasta, and the second I saw veal on the menu, I was locked in. Had to go for it. Cleaned the whole plate--either it was amazing, or I was just really hungry. Probably both.

Food and service were good as always! The ambience is great and look forward to going back soon!

Another excellent dinner! Really! The scallop salad is now $31 but still really good. Most pasta dishes are around $26 and desserts are under $10. It's a busy night and they did their best taking care of us. Tonight we had the tartufo for dessert. It's ice cream enrobed with a chocolate skin. Very good. I really think you still get good value here. We will be back!

Recommendation: get here before 6:30. It's far busier at 7. Chicken anchovy olio: my son loved this dish. Chicken was crispy. Anchovy garlic sauté was addictive. Highly recommend! Fresh clam scampi: I get this every time. Clams are definitely fresh, fat and juicy. In NY Italian pizza places leave Italian seasoning, garlic powder, red pepper flakes, and parm on the table to add flavor to pizza or pasta dishes. I bring my own shakers to add to my clam pasta dishes when I get Italian here because they don't do that here. I bring my own pecorino romano too. My son said he's going to order my dish next time we eat here. Lasagna: my husband's favorite Italian dish. Assaggio's lasagna is not his favorite but he considers their's to be above average. His favorite was at Taormina but they stopped making it. Lychee sorbet: made with fresh lychee fruit! Only $5. Not too sweet. I only had a bite of my son's. I would recommend this dessert and will order my own next time.

I love pasta! But I may love Assagio's house salad with their delish pickled veges even more. Just don't inhale while taking a bite. Or perhaps their fresh bread with butter, dipped in some parm while waiting for my food. Yummy! This time, we did take out right before they closed. Ordered 2 entrees and an extra bread with extra cheese. Picked up exactly when order was promised. The manager was so kind and provided great service. Other staff even stopped to ask if we've been helped, which was so refreshing, as we've been to so many restaurants where staff walk right past without any acknowledgment. Food was tasty as expected. If i had to make any constructive feedback: -- price seems to be a little steep (which is only my opinion) . $100 for pasta dinner for 2. Won't stop me from enjoying, just can't go as often as I'd like. -- pasta was little too oily/buttery (I love sauce, but perhaps there's a way to have sauce without it tasting "greasy")

Pesto something pasta I think. I forgot.

Food was delicious. Service was ok. Place almost seemed like I was having dinner at a 5 star restaurant. Nice dim lights and some basic paintings on the walls. For the free ice cream when you scan the QR code, you will only get one per table. Imagine coming in a group of 10, and telling the host to separate us just for the sake of a free scoop of ice cream? Lol

The last time I was here was a few years ago. My mother in-law planned Christmas eve dinner and made reservations for 8 of us. The parking lot was full and busy so we had to park down the street and walk which wasn't too bad. They sat us right away. Service was great, food was good. We got the Cesar salad & the server makes it right in front of you. For appetizer we got fried calamari which was good. I got the combination seafood and shared with one of my daughters. My son isn't a pasta type and didn't see anything he liked except the steak, which was good with the Caramelized onions mushrooms and potatoes. Overall we had a good experience, food was good, wait time was good. Fast service. We enjoyed our Christmas eve dinner.

Dinned in the private room to celebrate our graduate! Room was perfect to accommodate our small 'Ohana get together. Service started off great, but we had to ask for water refills a lot. Food was flavorful. Calamari was good, cooked with the right crunch and tenderness. Got the NY steak and Chicken/shrimp pesto. Presentation could be better. The NY should also offer at least some type of green vegetable like broccoli or zucchini.

One of my favorite Italian restaurants to come. Food was amazing good , parking it's kind of low on busy nights. Service is always great here. Inside this restaurant very clean , but probably needs some updating sometime in the future.

Any vegan choice on the menu?

Is this location same ownership as other locations?

Each location has a different owner but the owners are all related to each other. It's a family kind of thing. 😇

Does Assagio Bistro have the same menu as all the Assasgio restaurants?

I've been to them all, and I believe they have the same menu, or almost the same. Nevertheless, the quality of food, and the excellent service at the Waialae Kahala Bistro is the best. In my opinion.

During a visit here with my friends who was visiting from out of town, they both enjoyed their entree with a beer, love the atmosphere- we got to chat and ended up staying until restaurant's closing time. The waitress that day was super friendly, full of Aloha! I love the local foods, everything I tried was very tasty, When dining in I usually go with the 2 item plates, picking all different items ( Lau, Kalua Pork, pork belly, chicekn long rice and sharing family style with extra rice. The food was broke da mouth! During one of my dining visits, I was on my no carb lifesytle and got the Island cobb salad with Kalua Pork ( available in 2 sizes $9./$17.) Lettuce, cucumber, corn, tomato, avocado with Kalua Pig, and sweet onion dressing. Wow, I am glad they have this option for salads. I hope they don't discontinue the Cobb salad as it was so good! During this recent stop I picked up the Pork Belly and Pipikaula plate in short ribs style. This was such a great choice as my family enoyed it . Ordering ahead was easy and convenient, which I appreciated, and pickup was smooth. When I picked up my sandwich, my first thought was, "Wow, this is a heavy sandwich for a turkey-bacon with added avocado, no onions, and no tomato." At the time I assumed the weight meant a generous portion of turkey and bacon. Unfortunately, when I got back to work and opened it, I quickly realized that wasn't the case--it was the lettuce. There was an overwhelming amount of lettuce packed into the sandwich, to the point where it felt completely out of balance. Instead of being turkey-forward, it felt more like a lettuce sandwich with a few toppings added in. The turkey and bacon portions themselves were surprisingly small and unevenly distributed--one half had about two slices of turkey while the other had closer to a slice and a half. Most of the bacon was also concentrated on one half, so I ended up redistributing it just to make the sandwich feel a bit more balanced. The bread didn't help either. I think I shouldn't have gotten it toasted--it just didn't do it for me. It felt a little off with the filling and didn't add anything to the overall experience. I ordered The Duke, but what I didn't realize was that I was essentially getting a salad sandwich (see pic). I like lettuce on a sandwich, but this was next level--the amount completely overwhelmed everything else inside. The cost was another consideration--my total came to $19.37, including a $3.50 charge for avocado. For the portion size and balance of ingredients, I expected a bit more bang for my buck. If I give this place a second chance, I'll definitely need to say 'lite lettuce'--or maybe just 'no lettuce, please'--unless I want another salad disguised as a sandwich!

Their salads were just that good and it never felt like you were eating "healthy" food. We ordered the Ono Island Ahi and the Mandarin Ginger, and flavor wise the salads themselves still hold up. Portions felt fair and the prices were reasonable in my opinion. I also appreciated that it came with two pieces of pita bread. That said, the service really took away from the experience. When we ordered, the employee took our order but did not really start making the salad. His manager had to come out, at which point he jumped a bit and then started assembling the salad. He did not ask if we wanted it tossed, which they used to do, and instead just layered everything together. The biggest disappointment came when I got home and realized my Ono Island Ahi salad had no dressing at all, not on the side and not inside. That was frustrating and honestly a letdown, especially since the dressing is a big part of what makes these salads so good. The space itself looks clean and it is very convenient being inside Kahala Mall, with plenty of parking which is always a plus. Overall, the food concept is great and the salads are still tasty, but the service is lacking and needs improvement for me to fully enjoy coming back regularly.

They offer a mix of sweet and savory pastries, and honestly, I haven't had a bad one yet. I don't have a single favorite because they've all been consistently good. In my opinion, they're best enjoyed the same day. They also offer seasonal and holiday pre-orders. Sandwich of the Day: The premade sandwiches start at 11am and are made with about 90% house-made ingredients, served on their focaccia. As someone who loves a good sandwich, this did not disappoint. There are a few seats inside but I usually take everything to go so I can get my meat into the fridge.

Limited parking in the parking lot, but there's also some street parking. Friendly staff. My order was made quickly, little wait time. This is an order and go kind of place. No seating. Got the Shaloha plate this time, which is my favorite on the menu. It comes with everything. It literally weighs like 2 pounds. This plate can be shared by 2 ppl. If I eat it by myself I can make 3-4 meals out of it. The veggies are fresh every time. The plate is packed with flavor.

Arriving for a late lunch/early dinner was nice as the area wasn't as crowded and parking at the small shared lot was a breeze, it seems like they close their restaurant to the public and you order at the counter from outside but after placing my order at the counter and was told it would take about 10 minutes. I decided on the Eggplant Plate since I do love eggplants and when I picked it up was surprised with how heavy it was and wondered how can that be. First of all it's like a mini buffet going on in there with white and red cabbage, Israeli Salad, hummus, turmeric rice and if that's not enough two huge pitas as well. The eggplant was excellent and with about eight slices was nice though still felt it was a bit pricey and wished that they had a mini plate as this amount of food is quite wasteful as I don't see myself finishing it all. The Israeli salad I just didn't like way too much parsley for me and hummus...was okay I love hummus but this didn't do much for me personally, the rice was like one huge mochi all completely mushy the cabbage both white and red I did like and finished it all as for the pita I didn't touch it at all and will take it home for a sandwich I guess but as nice as the value for the meal it's unnecessarily too much. Thanks!
