I've been coming here for a while now and it's definitely a great place to get some asian fusion-type thai food! They are always consistent and the restaurant is clean and well maintained. During my most recent visit, I ordered the pad woon sen (with thin rice noodles). The noodles were delicious and the vegetables weren't too overdone and were crunchy, just the way I like them! I squirted some Siracha sauce on top and it was one heck of a meal! My girlfriend ordered the orange chicken. The rice tasted great and the orange chicken offered plenty of meat without having too much breading. And the sauce for it seemed fresh and made from scratch. I have been going to some of the Asian Mint locations for a few years now, and I've noticed that the quality of the food has gone significantly down recently. I was at the North Dallas location on 6/12/23, and ordered a variety of dishes (as seen in the picture here). However, when we received the order and as I was putting some of the fried rice onto my plate, I saw a large beetle type bug. I was in complete shock and when we called over the wait staff, the response time from them was extremely slow, considering they were not attending to other customers. Eventually, the wait staff did call over the manager of the establishment, and she took away our plates and was courteous enough to ask if we wanted to reorder or order something else to-go, on the house. At that point, we did not feel comfortable staying at the establishment, so we left. I will not be returning to Asian Mint. read more

Great pad Thai and fried rice was extra good! The beef stir fry was extra flavorful!!

We have been going to mint and for a very long time. We are a family of 6 and have enjoyed the meals as well as their service. However this time around we were seated promptly and drinks ordered, so far so good. Mind you this was a Friday night and at 7:30 pm after the dinner rush., not so busy. After about 20 minutes, the waiter finally came and asked if we are ready to order. Everyone ordered their usual except for my grandson. He decided on the chicken wings that they had on special, the picture looks good and seems like a good choice. I had the chicken and shrimp dish and had asked it to be spicy. The meals came out and the chicken looked great, menu stated "A tantalizing fusion of zesty Thai flavors and classic wing perfection. Flavorful and utterly addictive, these wings will take your taste buds on a delicious journey.", my grandson took a bite and he was totally disappointed, it was pure sugar. He gave me one and holy cow, it was say he stated. That was disgusting, I mean who cooks chicken with that mush sugar. I guess they use the sugar to caramelize the chicken, never again. My chicken and shrimp came out and, looks great, but after stirring and mixing a bit, I found 2 pieces of shrimp and big chunks of broccoli and some minced chicken. Well chocked that up to not order again. The rice came and wow, it was just a little dollop of rice, usually it was a good amount for a single serving. As everyone finished I asked for the bill, took awhile to get the waiter attention as he was busy chatting with another employee. I finally got the bill and looked it over and saw that they had add 20% gratuity, which came out to over $32 for a service that was subpar. We have been there many times and had never had that happened. We always had good service and food, but today's was rather disappointing to say the least. I tip well as long as the service is good and most of the time I give cash. I know that there are many restaurants that automatically adds gratuity, but we are 4 adults and 2 children and have never been forced to tip. I don't like being forced to tip especially if service was subpar. read more

Two days later I realized I was missing it! I called at 8:59 pm and they were so happy to hear that I had called to claim it They tried to reach me but had no way to I had paid my dinner in cash My sweet waiter said he ran outside to try to stop me as I pulled away but I missed him I really appreciated all the staff for holding on to it until the owner claimed it I appreciate their honesty and that they we're truly so excited that I had contacted them to claim it Not only is their food good but there character and honesty says something about this organization! We decided at the last minute to order takeout verses going out. Asian Mint consistently had high ratings and the menu options worked for everyone's preferences. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant is extremely nice and modern; do not be deterred by the closed building directly in front of it. The vegetarian options are plentiful and you can adjust the rice options to accommodate your dietary options. The Shrimp Rangoon and dumplings were demolished in minutes. The yellow rice is the best I've ever had, the flavors from the Saffron and fresh vegetables were absolutely amazing. The orange chicken was breaded perfectly (not the imitation chicken surrounded by gooey breading,) we will order this again. The Philadelphia rolls were slightly spicy, and very fresh. Save room for one of the deserts all of the options seem ideal to finish your meal, the signature green tea cake was amazing. Came here with a group of friends, and it was an "okay" experience. I ordered the beef pad kee mao after reading good reviews on Yelp. But it turned out to be disappointing. Noodles were overcooked, and the sauce was way too salty. Little on the expensive side too - paid $11 for a pad kee mao. My friend got the orange chicken, and he didn't really like it either. Orange chicken is usually crunchy but this one was not at all. However, my other friend seemed to enjoy her pad thai here. Service was great - nothing to complain about. I'm a huge fan of Thai food, but this place was just okay. A little pricey for the quality of the food. I think I'll consider visiting this restaurant again if they reduce the price or make the food less salty. read more

Ordered Sunday around 6pm using Grubhub. 1- Veggie Summer rolls 1- Veggie + Tofu Green Curry When my food arrived it was still pipping hot which I loved! The summer rolls were good, the peanut sauce was a bit thin but still tasty. The Green Curry is advertised as spicy spicy, but wasn't. It was moreso sweet than spicy. The flavor was there. My Overall Rating - 4 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Don't let the strip mall location fool you. Asian mint is a bright, vibrant restaurant. The walls are bold green with white panels separating seating areas. It feels clean and fresh. Plenty of tables with modern seating. It's a great setup. 1 Star. Service - Our server was friendly and efficient. He gave us ample time to look at the menu. No real recommendations though. One important note is that I don't think Asian Mint is meant to be eaten family style. I think the entrees are meant to be eaten by one person. The reason I mention this is because the tables didn't have enough room for all our dishes and we only received very small share plates. The dishes weren't clear in a timely manner so it piled up quickly. 1/2 Star. Food - I was pleasantly surprised with the food at Asian Mint. Just about every dish was very good, staring with their Crispy Pad Thai. It's essential Pad Thai but instead of noodles they use friend wontons. It had all the flavoring of traditional Pad Thai but crispier. Yes, everything is better fried, including Pad Thai. Texas, Ya'll. Our Crispy Basil Fish was made with sea bass and it was great. You get a generous, delicate portion of sea bass in a fresh basil sauce. Pad Woon Sen was good but forgettable compared to the other two. Finally, we ended our meal with the Green Tea Ice Cream Cake. It's a huge slice with a nice whipped icing that's not too sweet. The cake itself wasn't as moist as I would have hoped, but it certainly went well with ice cream. Solid meal from start to finish. 1 1/2 Star. Will I Return? - Yes. While the Green Tea Ice Cream cake was nice, I would come back for the Basil Fish (sea bass) and ask for a bigger table. Asian Mint is one of my favorite places to go for my Thai fix. While located in a strip mall, do not judge a 'book by its cover'. This place is great! As noted in some reviews, depending on the time of day there can be a wait of 15 minutes or so. That said, I've only encountered that on a few visits. As the name implies (Mint) the place is decorated throughout with a green coloring. It is a little cramped (they could probably eliminate a table or 2 to open it up a bit; but that would increase the wait time). There's always a nice 'buzz of positive energy' which I enjoy. The service is always on point without being overwhelming. The food is delicious; fresh and flavorful. And what I like most is how consistent they are with the entrées. Some restaurants can be hit or miss when it comes to an entrée consistently tasting the same. Thankfully that's not the case here. And they are always receptive to customizing an entrée. Want more spice, ask for it. Want to substitute one protein for another; go for it! Want more veggies; no problem. And doing this does not increase the wait time for the entrée. How nice is that! A disappointment. Trying to support local restaurants once a week so ordered delivery from here. Here's an overview: 1. Orange chicken with jasmine rice: the chicken was crisp, a little too crisp and on the cusp of overcooked. There was NO sauce on the chicken so I got dry overcooked chicken and rice. They failed to send soy sauce so you can imagine how bland the entire entree was. 2. Chicken lo-mein: the noodles were curly and like spaghetti consistency. The flavor was ok but not much depth. It really just tasted like noodles and soy sauce with a few pieces of broccoli, carrots and undercooked cabbage thrown in. 3. Steamed Veggie wontons: these were okay. 4. Egg rolls - these were good, crisp and the flavor wasn't too overwhelming like some egg rolls. They weren't greasy, either 5. Chicken Salad rolls: absolute crap and the worst part of the meal. The random cold slivers of chicken were haphazardly thrown on top and tasted old, like an old refrigerator. The sauce was a strange peanut red sauce that lacked any spice or sweetness, which is needed to balance out the peanut flavor. Overall I will not eat here again. $62 right down the drain! read more

Asian mint has got it going on! You better come early at lunch hour or it is packed and you have to wait. Their food is so fresh and so tasty, you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. My favorite dish is the yellow chicken curry. It has an amazing flavor and from time to time I crave it! The portions are big for me and I almost always have some to take home. My green curry was crazy sweet, it had way too much sugar. The dish gave off a strong coconut milk smell. Some of the beef didn't taste fresh. My girlfriends chicken green curry was the opposites of mine. Light in taste and no compliants on the meat. The green tea cake was a bit frozen. The whipped cream was a great balance between sweet and creamy. Sponge part of the cake was just okay because the it was partially frozen. The ice cream portion had a mild taste though there was a fresh scoop on the top. The food overall was just okay. The waitress was attentive and no problems with service. read more

My boyfriend was hungry but I wasn't but wanted good dessert so he took me here without telling me. I was already impressed with all of the awards and recognition displayed throughout the restaurant and the menu. I already knew which dessert I was going to get because D magazine named their Green Tea Ice Cream Cake the best new dessert of 2008. It sounded so yummy!!! So he wouldn't eat alone, I ordered the steamed vegetable dumplings as my meal which was mediocre. The top of the dumplings were dry which was a major turn-off. I also ordered the matcha latte which was yummy! It came unsweetened but with one pack of sugar, it was the perfect evening delight. The boyfriend got pad kee mow woon sen which was flavorful, even with the glass noodles. Fortunately, he is Thai and his family knows the owner who was walking around. She was extremely friendly and was chatting it up with the table next to us so it's pretty obvious this restaurant gets regulars. I ran into a business associate there and he told me he and his wife dine there on a weekly basis. Anyways, back to the food. The green tea ice cream dessert came out and wow... SOOOOOO delicious! It was so refreshing and not too sweet. We obliterated that thing. I can understand why it was named the best dessert! Days where you go one side of DFW to the other in the name of work, and you just want a breather? Occasionally, I have to work from an alternate office off of Greenville Ave in Dallas, and those days can be pretty wild. I feel the need to decompress for a bit, and when I do, I go to Asian Mint. A short jaunt from 635/Greenville, Asian Mint is more an institution than a pit stop. The interior -clean and modern. The menu - extensive, but concise. The food? Delicious! I always go for the default - Shrimp Pad Thai. Each and every time it is delicious. The shrimp does have tails, and the Level 5 Hot (the hottest) will make your nose run, but it's always worth it! I appreciate too that they offer a glass noodle option and a crispy shrimp option, but you can't beat the traditional. If you haven't had Mint, give it a try. I don't think you'll regret it. Yep! This place was a definite Hidden gem! Came here with a few friends on a Sunday afternoon after church and the wait wasn't long and the food was surprisingly very fresh. All the vodka here is also pure, it's what Asian mint is known for apparently. They also allowed me to make my own drink + I ended up getting eggrolls and crab fried rice. The cost isn't bad and our service overall was pretty quick and very attentive. This place is ideal for a two people dates and even a group of people(group of 8 or less). The menu overall was pretty vast and had a great variety of things to choose from. Everything came out fresh and tasted very light(for lack of better term). I've been dining at this Asian Mint location for over a decade. Their food is always on point, I've celebrated many of my birthdays there, and will always make a stop when I'm in town. I came in last night with my fiancée, it was his first time dining at Asian Mint, and he absolutely loved it. I had the Pad Kee Mao Woon Sen, He had the Peanut and Basil Chicken Stir Fry, despite great portions, his plate was spotless, both were fantastic as always and I was just as excited for my leftovers! Nice modern restaurant with simple menu. More like fusion of multiple cuisine from Asia. I ordered the Crab fried rice and it is delicious! Come with real crab meat and ONE whole Soft Shell Crab!
