Went to buy a store brand mattress. Dave was great got ordered and delivery date set. Received call for delivery for a Thursday two days before, all set. Or so I thought. Waited 1 1/2 hours past delivery window to call & after a 11/2 hour wait again was told wasn't set for delivery. After much "aggressive talking" on my end with phone number & time I was called for delivery set up, was told they called to inform of delay, but had dialed wrong number. What, no one tried to call the right number? There would be another week delay. Called Dave & at least got a discount for the "delivery fee" that wasn't delivered. Fast forward week for second delivery day. At least received the call that the mattress is again delayed for 2 days this time. Will see what happens then. Gave 2 stars only because of sales person getting me a refund. But will never shop at Ashley Furniture again. read more

Totally disappointing service ever!!!! They are sucked, I got scheduled a third delivery next week!!!! Yes, third, maybe still not right. ( wasting my time, none cared) I would never, ever go back aging. I should read those complaint reviews before I went to them. read more

I waited 3 weeks for my daughter's bedroom set when it arrived the dresser was not put together tightly and the nails in the drawer where coming out. Customer service was rude and disrespectful and I had to call again only to be placed on hold for 20 minutes. It has been 3 weeks and the replacement drawer has not arrived. Never shopping there again I will stick to Rooms to Go. read more

DO NOT buy furniture from Ashley, or if you do, be very careful and realize the quality you are getting. My wife and I bought a leather sofa set and after two years, the back started peeling, and all we do is sit on our furniture - no pets. We figured, no problem, we bought the extended warranty. The guy told us if ANYTHING goes wrong (e.g. your child stabs the sofa with a scissor), they will fix it. So we called for help, and they refused to repair it, saying leather is excluded. Then why did we pay all of that money for that warranty if they won't repair the leather? We had to repair it ourselves and it cost over $1000. We bought our next furniture from Ethan Allen. Expensive, but much better quality, and in my mind, worth it. read more

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. There is absolutely no communication between the store and their corporate office / customer care. I was owed a refund that sat at the store for 4 weeks before it was submitted to the corporate office, despite me asking them to expedite it. Then it took 2 weeks to cut the check and another 2 weeks to mail it. I asked them multiple times (during the course of about 20 phone calls it took for me to receive my refund) to mail it to my new address but they mailed it to my old address instead, which caused yet another delay! They delivered a damaged cocktail table that I was later told I couldn't exchange because it had been discontinued. I selected a new table (and end table to match) but it was $50 less expensive than the original but it was their policy not to refund me the difference and made me select something else for $50 (which was impossible) - so I had to pay an additional $50 after selecting a $100 lamp that I took with me that day from the store (which was another ordeal because it, too, was discontinued despite it being on the showroom floor). I took off work to have them deliver the tables only for them to cancel because they said the lamp (that I took with me) was missing from the order despite them calling the day before and me telling them I already have the lamp! UGH!!! So, now I wait for another delivery to occur and hopefully it will be right this time! Absolutely NOTHING they have done has been right the first time and no one there seems to care! read more

Ashley Furniture is by far the WORST company I have ever had to deal with. We ordered 3 bedroom sets on 8/21/20. Our initial delivery date was set for 9/3/20. Nobody called to set up delivery so I called them and waited 25 minutes to talk to someone. The person on the phone informed me it was never supposed to be delivered on 9/3 and she could schedule it for 9/9. I confirmed our address with her and asked her if everything would be delivered and she said yes. On 9/8 they called my husband to confirm the delivery and had the wrong address. They told him 85% of our order would be delivered on 9/9, the rest on 9/12 and bedrails for my son's bed in October. On 9/9 the delivery guys came and delivered all of our bedroom furniture except our headboard. (So our rails and footboard are useless). None of the kids furniture arrived. We immediately called customer service to inquire as to where our headboard was and when it would be delivered. The rep said our headboard would be delivered on 9/12. We asked to cancel the rest of the order and she told us we needed to go into the store. We drove to the store in Sugar Land, TX that night and was told only the manager could process the refund and she wasn't in the store at the moment so he (Chad) took down our information and said she would call us the next day. The next day (9/10) at around 1:30pm I drove to the store because the manager had not called. I walk up to the counter and a man and woman are behind the counter. Neither of them welcoming or friendly whatsoever. I see a handwritten sign on the counter that says the office manager is not available. So I tell the lady that I am there to see the manager but the sign says they aren't there. She picks it up, looks at it confused, places it behind the counter and states that she is the manager (Chen). So I had my print out of my order and it was clearly marked with a C for which line items I wanted canceled. She called the sales rep (Kyle) over that sold us the furniture. They keep looking over my order in the computer and Kyle says that everything except a dresser is at the warehouse if I just want it delivered. I said, No I only want my headboard delivered and if it's in the warehouse it should come on 9/12 as they stated last night when I called. He just got up and walked away. Chen continued to ask me the same questions over and over and finally hands me a piece of paper with my refund amount on it with no explanation as to what the numbers were, no apology, nothing. I was in a rush to pick my kids up from school so I did the math later that evening. She conveniently omitted the price of the $600 protection plan in my refund which was clearly marked as cancel on my paperwork. So we had to dispute that with our credit card company. On 9/12 no delivery was made and so I called back and was on hold 14 minutes and got disconnected so I called back and again I waited for over 20 minutes to speak with someone. She told me it would be delivered on 9/17. During this call I asked for the number to corporate and she told me they don't have a number but gave me an email (feedback@dsghome.com). She also gave me a number to a distribution center. At the same time I was utilizing the online chat service and that person told me the same thing, the delivery will be 9/17 and gave me this number as the corporate number, 866.787.7930 which it is not. I called the distribution number and the lady was nice but explained that she has received multiple calls regarding deliveries and she only services New Braunfels, Austin, and San Antonio. So, 9/17 came and went and I called again with another painfully long wait time to speak to someone. I was then told it would be 9/22. I asked her why it was that every time I call that I'm given a new date and nobody seems to care or want to fix the issue. All she could tell me was a delivery date. So today is 9/22 and still no headboard. I called and was on hold 35 minutes and nobody picked up. I Googled the corporate number 866.436.3393 and the person who answered said she only deals with online purchases and she would transfer me. The second person I talked to was once again the wrong department and so I asked her how can a business have a half star review? How can nobody that I've talked to out of the numerous calls I've made tell me when exactly my headboard will be delivered? How does a company only deliver part of a bed and then have no explanation as to when the rest of it will actually arrive so that I have a complete bed? I have already paid for it so where is it? She placed me on hold and never returned. COVID-19 is not an acceptable excuse for such poor business practice. I have already gone to Gallery Furniture twice since this debacle with Ashley and had Furniture delivered with no issues whatsoever. 1 star is too many. read more

What terrible customer service. First of all, we were told that we would have our furniture by the end of August. Okay, that's great. End of August comes.. still no furniture! So I call. They say it hasn't been delivered to the warehouse yet but will be there in the middle of September. Okay. Middle of September comes, still no contact. I call again, they say they can deliver the headboard and footboard of my bed but my side rails won't be in until the next week. I tell them no, I do not want my head and foot board without my side rails. They still try to send me a delivery confirmation a few days later anyway. I ignore it and call them again. They literally told me "Oh it says your head board and foot board were delivered." ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! At this point I'm about to freak out. I stay on the phone with this lady for 30 minutes so she can notify the warehouse that they obviously messed up. Then this week I get another delivery notification, okay great. I'm finally going to get my darn bed. I call, because at this point I know Ashley Furniture manages to screw even the simplest of orders up. And what do they tell me? MY FOOT BOARD ORDER WAS CANCELED. WHY WOULD I WANT A HEAD BOARD AND SIDE RAILS BUT NO FOOT BOARD. ARE YOU KIDDING?? I wait on the phone for 45 minutes for the customer service representative to "talk to the warehouse" for her to tell me she can't give me a new delivery date. I know we're in the middle of a pandemic but this is freaking ridiculous. read more

Went to purchase a couch at the Vernon Hills, IL location. Sales staff was great and purchasing process was easy. That's where the good ends. Since then it has been a disaster. We bought the couch in early July and received an email telling us that it would be delivered on 9/8/20 and we would be contacted closer to that date to set a firm delivery time. No phone call or email. Called customer service who told me the couch wasn't going to be ready until the 15th and we could set up a delivery for the 16th. The 16th comes around and nothing. Again no phone call or email. So we called customer service and the delivery date got pushed back AGAIN! We then decided to go the store to talk with a manager and they told us the same thing. Didn't give much effort to make it better. We will see if the couch actually shows up next week but I'm not getting my hopes up. Doesn't seem like anyone there really knows what's going on. I would not recommend buying from Ashely at this point. read more

We worked with Adnan "Otto" to purchase our 2 piece Owensbe Sectional a week ago. Adnan was very professional and and knowledgable about the inventory. We knew exactly what type of couch we were looking for prior to heading into Ashley's and Otto walked us around the showroom and spoke with us about the different options and pieces that were available. We ended up deciding on the Owensbe because of the price, quality, and look of it. Otto really went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with our purchase. The Sectional is fantastic- the quality and look were exactly what we wanted. The delivery service was also very good. Couldn't be happier with our new couch. Thanks Otto and Ashley! read more

I have never experienced a sale like this before. I ordered my soft set (3 piece) in August 2020. Told me order would arrive by September. Except they kept pushing back the delivery date every month. They had sent me a loaner sofa set in November for the holidays. Because by now I am being told delivery would be in December 2020. January 2021 still nothing. Finally on Feb. 2021, I went into the store ( Ashley in San Antonio, TX 12493 IH 10 West) and asked for my refund. I had to argue for it. So in Feb. they arranged to have my loaner furniture picked up the next week and my refund would be made within 7-10 days. I called a week later and they said nothing yet. I call today 3/29/21 and was advised that no paper work had been done on my order to begin the refund. So were they just going to keep my $4000.00??? No one follows thru on paperwork. The lady I spoke to today was pleasant and said it could take up to 3 weeks for my refund!! I spoke to a girl and Matt and they just gave me the run around. The girl even ordered me another set (loaner) without telling me by doing this my original order was cancelled?? Then when I go to get a refund, they tell me they cannot take my furniture back that I ordered. I never ordered the loaner set, they did... Yes, I understand Covid was an issue, but 6 months is plenty of time. There was also a gentle man next to me asking for a refund as well. He had ordered since Aug. Please do not do business with this Ashley Store, worst service ever........ read more

Terrible customer service the customer care department is a complete joke and they definitely do not care. I bought in store a complete living room set rug tables everything and two beds one mattress was nice and soft like it was in store or the other one is like sleeping on the floor. Called Ashley's customer care a couple days later they said if I don't hear anything by Friday to call again I called Friday nobody had put in a report that lady put in the report scheduled an appointment for a technician to come out and look at the mattress that appointment was that three weeks away I take the time off work so I am here he comes looks at both mattresses and says yes one is hard and submits his report after he left I called customer care they said they have received the report but need the mattress Department to review it and somebody will be giving me a call I wait a week and one day call customer care they tell me the report is not complete and the mattress and technician department is not there and there's not really anything she could do but they need a complete report before they can do anything and then she said she will try to talk to this technician and see if he remembers coming to my house and checking both mattresses this was over a week ago so I highly doubt he will and I'm going to have to wait for somebody else to come back out to my house their appointments are not quick. The lady raised her voice at me on the phone and said we are just talking in circles and there's nothing she can do for me. They have the worst customer service I have ever dealt with they do not care if they sell crap stuff because I thought their department is what I've been told over and over again I highly recommend shopping somewhere else read more

This furniture store shucks, their furniture is super expensive and bad quality. The worst of all is the insurance protection .

I purchased a mattress from Ashley Furniture in Edmonton AB. A couple days after sleeping on the mattress I developed a skin rash. I stopped sleeping on the mattress for a week and the rash started healing. Started sleeping on the mattress again and the rash came back. When I explained my situation to the gentleman who sold me the mattress he explained to me that they will exchange it. I told him I have slept on a couch for a month and I don't want a replacement as they tell me there is nothing wrong with the one I have. They charged me a 25% restocking fee to return a mattress that was somehow poisoning me. Before you buy a mattress from them, I would research the products they sell and also get something in writing allowing you to return it if it poisons you so they don't charge you 25% to return something toxic. I purchased the Uvero and regret my experience with this company. I do not recommend this company. read more

The store itself was easy to deal with, but the delivery was horrible. We ordered over $4000 in furniture in May for it to finally get here in August. We called several times and they had held most of the furniture because 1 piece was not available. I had to request the extra delivery but they certainly wouldn't have offered. The first delivery came with damaged furniture that had to be returned and one we kept because the damage was minimal and were told to report it and would receive a credit. The second delivery came with another piece of damaged furniture. I called customer service to request compensation because of the massive delay in delivery and damages. I was offered $190. Funny that I paid Ashley's that day so they got their money, but they don't seem to care about that. Guess it's not a big deal that I've paid interest on what was done on a credit card for furniture I didn't even have yet. I'll be reaching out to dispute this with our credit card company since obviously customer service is not a priority for Ashley's and it will certainly be the last time I purchase from them. read more

My experience at the store was good but it all fell apart after that. They said they would deliver it next day between 9am-6pm and if I called at 10am I would be able to get a better idea of when they would deliver. I called at 10am and they said they would be there between 1 and 6. They showed up at 12:35 and waited 5 minutes and left. I got home at 12:45pm. They said they would come back later in the day and let me know when that would be. They never called to inform me and just showed up and happen to be gone for 30 min. When they delivered the next day the delivery guy would not disassemble the bed in place and was not told it was my responsibility. I was not home and my wife had to deal with it. I called the store manager and got the guys to remove my son's old bed and install the new one but they were awful to my wife. Bottom line is be careful regarding delivery with Ashley's. They don't communicate well and the delivery service is awful! I've never had this experience with any other furniture store. read more

I and my fiancé went to Ashley Furniture to purchase a bedroom set around the end of November, beginning of December 2018. We purchased not only a bedroom set but also a mattress which was not the plan in the first place. We had no trouble with our salesman and told us our furniture would be delivered in the middle of January. We were moving January 26th and asked if they would be able to deliver then to where our salesman confirmed the date and stated that pushing the date was better because we had our nightstands on backorder. My fiancé gets a call from Ashley's January 8th stating that our nightstands were still on backorder and would not be delivered until February 9th. The person on the phone gave us the option to receive what we ordered on the 26th and the nightstands on the 9th of February or to push it all together to the 9th. Being that we knew all of what we already had to move we decided to just push everything to the 9th. We receive another call that week confirming our delivery and then two days later receive a call that now not only our night stands, but our headboard, dresser, and chest were all on backorder as well and would not be delivered until the 26 of February. Now we were still in boxes and on an air mattress for 2 weeks so as you can tell this started my frustration. We show up to Ashleys with the mind set to cancel our order and they offered to waive our delivery fee. Fine. We asked that our mattress be delivered on the 9th as scheduled and everything else could be delivered on the 26. The man at the counter stated the soonest it can be delivered was the 11th. We had already scheduled time off for the 9th and worked on the 11th. It's amusing how now that my mattress can't even be delivered on the date even though it is on backorder. I sarcastically stated that it doesn't take 2 days to make a mattress so the mattress should have been delivered on the original date. After the man at the counter spent some time on the phone with whomever, we got it confirmed that the mattress will be delivered on the ninth. By this point I am just thankful for my mattress being delivered and relieving my back pain. The 8th we receive a call to confirm our delivery. By some "miracle" on the 9th all of our things were delivered in two separate deliveries. "Somehow" things were no longer on backorder, including the nightstands. As we finally have our set, we start to make the bed and check out what we finally ordered so long ago. As I open one night stand the glide rail on one side falls out completely. Now I am angry. I waited longer than I should have in the first place all due to the nightstands and one is faulty. We immediately call customer service and they give us a phone number to send pictures of the damage to, then hang up without telling us what to do next. After doing so and calling back, waiting 30 minutes, we finally get ahold of someone who then says that they will send out a technician to try and fix it and if it is unable to be fixed, they will send out a replacement. Great, by this point I just want to be done with Ashley's. A technician by the name of Edgar comes and is unable to fix it. Not only is it unfixable, it is worse because your technician pulled out all 4 glides on the 2 drawers of the nightstand. He states that they will send a replacement and we would be getting a call from Ashley's. About a week passes, so we call Ashley's ourselves after not hearing anything. Customer service states that not only are results of the technicians work are in our file, but have no record of a technician coming to look at our nightstand. This is where I get furious due to the lack of communication a large corporation has and nothing is being resolved. After spending an hour on the phone on and off of hold they want to send out another technician. Now this is just redundant. After more conversation the customer service rep states that she was going to give us a call by noon tomorrow to let us know about an APPROVAL from her lead to send out a replacement. Not even going to send one out yet. This is the worst customer service. To not believe a customer on something being broken when we called the same day of delivery is degrading. Not only is that frustrating but disappointing because we spent almost $6,000 on a set and can't even enjoy it due to the company we bought it from. If I was trying to lie and steal money from a company, it definitely wouldn't be on the 2nd cheapest thing we bought. It is concerning about the communication system Ashley's has and I will definitely will not be back. I am even considering returning everything just because of this situation. I expect to hear from someone higher up on not only making this situation right. read more

First let me start off by saying I love the products at Ashley Furnitures. Service and shipping? Not a fan. I ordered a dining room set at the beginning of May and a server beginning of June. Two weeks after we order the dining room set we got the chairs but no table. We didn't know where the table was so we went through emails and it all said the table was being shipped with the chairs. It was a set. We contacted customer service and they told us it was back ordered. That's fine but they should have either contacted us or put something on their website telling us it was back ordered like most stores do. I just thought it was weird that they would sell something as a "set" but somehow one of the items be out of stock. So we waited for an email or call back about an update on our order. A few weeks went by and we ordered the matching server. They said we'd have it within a couple weeks. Over the next week or so they kept taking the money out of my account and putting it back in. Probably happened about 3 or 4 times. And during this time we contacted customer support again to find out if there had been any update on the table. We couldn't speak to an actual person but the recording said someone would be in contact within 24-48 hours. After 3 days we didn't hear anything so we contacted them again. And this went on for about 2 weeks and still to this day no one has called back. About 3 weeks ago we decided to just go to one of the stores. We canceled the order for the table and the server. (We told them we were keeping the chairs) we placed a new order with the table and server. We were told we'd get it between 3-5 weeks. Last Saturday we received a call saying the delivery truck broke down but we should get a call within the next day or two telling us it's ready. We still haven't heard anything so we called today and were told the shipment is at the warehouse but they need to do a mandatory check. I think the best part out of this whole order was the chairs. read more

In May I decided to go into Store to Purchased a bedroom set for myself and three bedroom sets for my child.... Ended up being the worst mistake I have ever done this place is horrible from beginning to finish it's been a horrible experience their customer service delivery service... I've had them deliver four different times and I still haven't receive part of the furniture they just told me I won't til the end of July....Their Excuse is that they're back ordered I tried calling the store no one ever answers if they do it takes an hour and 30 minutes for them to answer I called corporate office nothing has been done on top of that they scam me Promotion they have going on before the Memorial Day now their excuse is that it was a miscommunication whatever...They never told me in the beginning that the orders were backed up nothing... I got a call from this Jerry store manager Worst person to speak to, I thought she was calling to try to fix the problem no she sounded irritated she sounded like she didn't give two shits of what I had to say...about the store she runs and the people she has working under her which explains why this store is poorly manage very sad. About their delivery service whoever they use to deliver their furniture is horrible as well.... I only had one of their team members who was good all the others bunch of complainers they ever put my the furniture together I had to call Ashley's to complain about it seems like this place is a failure period very bad Service please don't buy from them!! My neighbor also had the same problem they keep Blaming Covid for their failures Lame excuse that has nothing to do with them being Horrible with their customer service. read more

I have purchased several used Ashley's items from other people and have had nothing but praises to sing about said items. However, in December of 2019 I purchased a brand new recliner from Ashley. It was great....for 4 months. Started having issues with it. Had to file a claim after about 8 months and have it repaired. End September 2020 I was moving to my first home by myself and needed a couch (only had my preowned Ashley love seat that I love.) I went to Ashley of course. My sales person was very friendly and helpful and let me take my time making a decision. Purchased a couch and chair. A week later, went back and changed the chair to an end table and coffee trunk no problem. Move forward 6 weeks to 11/17 when the first couch is delivered with a broken back and screws coming out of the side. Make a claim for a replacement. Fast forward to second couch delivery on 12/18 when couch is delivered torn and scratched. Make another claim for replacement. Mind you that it is usually a 30 to 45 hold time and the customer service people are rarely helpful or nice. Move on the 3rd delivery of 3rd couch on 12/29. Yep you guessed it, torn again. Another call... was told I would get $150 off my couch and could do a reselect in the store. Went in and was done within 30 mins, the manager on duty, Mike, was helpful. Was told someone would call me in the next 2 days with an approx. delivery date. No call, no one in customer service knows anything. You can't call the store so I go back to the store. Talk to a manager, who was not pleasant, said it was completed and that I have an estimated delivery date of 1/20. Was given my new sales persons cell phone # so I could get updates from her. Call and there is no vm and after 3 hours no return phone call either. I call customer service today for an update (because you still can't call the store even though I was told they were getting phones back first week of January). Get a nice person who is having phone troubles and every sentence must be said twice until it completely cuts out on her side and she hangs up on me. Still no credit and now the estimated delivery date is MARCH!!!! I have shared with all my family and friends and they cannot believe I'm having these issues with such a reputable company. Years ago it took my mom going to the news media to get a dining room table replaced by Havertys. I guess that is what I will have to do to get the couch I am paying for from Ashley. I do not recommend the company or this store. read more

I will NEVER buy anything from Ashley furniture again! I had to wait on hold multiple times and for a total of several HOURS in order to finally get an in home repair scheduled on my brand new sofa that ( I later learned ) was built defectively- they had neglected to add the foam on one end cushion! No wonder I felt like I was sitting on a brick!!! LONG story... but that end finally got fixed, after several months. When the repair tech came back to check/ replace the foam on the other cushions, he did a HORRIBLE job, it actually looked WORSE when he 'finished'. But he could not have cared less. When I pointed it out to him and expressed my dissatisfaction, he said "I did what I was supposed to do" then walked out the door, as i stood there exasperated and furious. Then he wrote in his notes that the way it now looks is due to 'normal wear and tear' (it is not,) so now Ashley is refusing to send anyone else out to fix what he screwed up. I spent a LOT of money in this sofa, and this is only a small part of my dissatisfaction with the sales process and service I received from Ashley. NEVER AGAIN!!! read more

I wish I could leave ZERO stars. I purchased my furniture in store on 10/16/2020 and still have not received. I was supposed to schedule delivery - early December, then mid-December, then early January, then Mid January, and today I find out that I am looking at mid-February before I receive two simple chairs and an ottoman! I could have built my own furniture in this amount of time. They were paid on 10/16/20 and I have been told that I cannot get a full refund if I cancel. I am being held hostage by a company that does not care about their customers. You can only talk to a call center when you call, and you can't reach someone directly at the store. Hold times are outrageous - most likely because there are probably thousands of unhappy customers trying to get a status on their order. As far as I am concerned this is THEFT because they took my product and I have gotten NOTHING in return. Very sad I EVER decided to order from this company. read more

My review today is strictly on Alex - he is the type of salesman I prefer personally. He checked in briefly throughout my time in the store (both times). Once I had questions on pieces I had interest in he had answers, recommendations and he happily moved the pieces around the store to see how they matched with another piece. He was knowledgeable about what they had in their catalog and around the store to guide me in the direction of things I described. He explained the differences in products (I ask a lot of questions). He gave me space to think about stuff, look at stuff and think more. He didn't talk my ear off but was totally willing to chat when I started to talk. He did not repeatedly ask me questions and I felt no pressure to purchase anything. I appreciated his style and would recommend people seeking him out at this location. The other salespeople were polite and always made sure I was being helped, but since I didn't work with them I can't say much else :) I do not have any furniture from Ashley's yet so I do not have any opinion on the quality or on the delivery service. Doesn't come for another week but I am very excited for its arrival! read more

Really enjoyed looking around the store. JR met us when we first walked in and asked us if we needed help, we didn't at the time so he let us look around alone. After finding some couches we had questions about he was there to help! He had excellent product knowledge and was able to help us find exactly what we didn't know we wanted. We ended up purchasing two couches and 3 tables. JR had a nice surprise for us as we were leaving that he gives to all of his customers as a thank you gift. I would definitely come back to shop with him! read more

The Ashley Home Furniture service is the worst service that Me and my family have experienced in our entire lives. I brought Bellamy Bed Set on 04/27/2020. The purchase was online because of the quarantine. Between the room set and an island for my kitchen it was almost $ 2,000 which was collected in a second. My husband is a Handy Man, we didn't had the need to pay $ 200 xtra for assemblying. I ordered the Bed Set to assemble it once it arrived so I could save $ 200. Wow how Ashley Home Furniture punishes you for not paying $ 200 extra for assembling. The Bed set arrived broken and it took several weeks to completely arrived. The Bed Pieces came in crushed and in pieces without a single screw, or rails for the bed, or any assembly parts. I been calling customer service for weeks. The numbers are either disconnected or they obligated you to leave a message after waiting for 15 minutes, and you have to leave a message that they never return. If you go to the store in person, they IMMEDIATELY TELL YOU that there is nothing they can do because the purchase was online. They wash their hands and practically throw you out of the store. I've been calling many many customer service numbers and whit them everything its because of the covid-19. All their excuses are COVID-19. Apparently COVID-19 its making millions of people buying furniture from ASHLEY AND THEY ARE SO BACK UP THEY CANNOT ANSWER THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE LINE. There are around 40 millions people who lost their job. Hire many of them and problem solve. A few weeks ago (the only time) they answer me and they "order" the assembly parts. They were supposed to arrive 05-26-2020 a month after the purchase. Is 06/11/2020 and I'm still waiting on assembly parts, a new Bed End (the end came smashed) and my daughter its sleeping on the floor and I'm desperate because I don't know what to do. I just want to let everybody know about my very sad experience. If somebody knows what to do, please let me know... I can assure you that I will tell all my family, friends and everybody that I know, about Ashley's Service and my experience as a Customer whit them. I think its not fair these companies are using this Pandemic as an excuse for their bad service. read more

I only opened an account, because I needed a mattress set. I ordered it on Dec. 10th and received the foundation only on Dec. 13th. I think I received it so fast, because I stay about 5 miles from the store. The status online for the top mattress was updated and now shows a delivery date of Jan. 24th. Originally, I was told the delivery could take up to 2-3 weeks, due to them being backed up and covid. Ok so, I understand it's the holidays and the covid pandemic, but why do I have to wait 6 weeks for the top mattress?? What kind of sense does that make? Now that I've read the reviews, I don't think it will be delivered by that date either. I contacted customer service about it, because I just wanted to cancel the entire order. The rep stated I have to keep the foundation, due to covid but they'd cancel the top mattress. So now I'm stuck with the foundation and no top mattress. What a joke! I wish I would've read the reviews before I opened the account. I was willing to pay for the overpriced mattresses, because I really need them. I can only imagine how future order deliveries would work. Who wants to spend money and receive this kind of service? Lesson learned. read more

Terrible costumer service!! I have tried contacting the company through their online chat, waited on hold for over an hour with multiple phone calls, and left two voicemails each with NO response. I ordered a couch at the end of April. The estimated delivery was supposed to be in May 23rd. I received numerous forms of confirmations that my couch was going to be delivered the 23rd, text confirmation, email confirmation , and phone confirmation. But it was never delivered. I received one voicemail that it will not be delivered until some time June. Again another round of confirmations for June 26th. Which is ridiculous because that's living without a couch for almost two months. Now, I just received a call that I won't be receiving the couch until mid JULY!!! HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?? I asked the women on the phone if I could speak to someone about this to figure out the problem or to maybe get an exchange for a different couch, she simply told me to call costumer service. Again, back where I started with no response and no couch. At this point I'm ready to go through another furniture store. read more

Do not waste your time or money. I purchased my furniture in August and still have not received it. They continually delay the shipment without communication. At this point, I have had my furniture schedule to be delivered 7 times and they continually push back the delivery date or deliver one of many items. Each piece is coming as different deliveries and two items have had to be returned due to it being damaged. As of now, they have scheduled the delivery, texted that the item would be delivered on the day of then do not show up. When I called customer service I was placed on hold multiple times and ultimately their response is only sorry and it will be delivered at a different date. Because my items have already been paid for, I have to just wait for them to deliver my items. Please do not waste your time or money supporting this company. It is the worst experience I have ever had purchasing anything. read more

Horrible experience with scheduling delivery dates. They changed our delivery date 4 times till now and they're just continuously postponing it. We have guests who were planning to stay at our place and now they can't anymore because the furniture will not be arriving on time. Their customer service is very poor. The staff are unfriendly and unwilling to help. What a stressful and negative experience, never ordering from them again! read more

I have bought from Ashley's a few times before and never had an experience quite as awful as this last one. We worked with Benjamin Garcez, who put the wrong delivery address on our order, we advised him it wasn't correct and due to the bad weather that evening and it being around closing, he said he would update the address the next day.. come to find out, he did not. I had to call back and update it. Not off to a good start. The day of delivery I get a timeframe of 1:30-4:30, I receive two calls letting me know my delivery will be late. They project 6:30pm at the latest, no call and no show at that time. I call back and come to find out they are on delivery #5 and I am #7, by this time It is 730pm when I call and speak to a rude manager named Rob, who has not one bit of empathy about this delivery being almost 4 hours late and has no concept of customer service. The delivery men arrive pissed off and in a hurry around 8:50pm and leave around 9:40 that evening. They were understandably upset and tired as they sat on the road with a broken truck for a few hours that day. However one man continues to complain to us about his job (real professional) the other delivery guy kicks our stuff to move it out of his way so he can lay down a box. Not sure where he learned it was okay to go into someone's home and KICK THEIR belongings, but that's definitely not okay. I had already moved my stuff out of the way and if it wasn't far enough away, ask me to move it or move it with your hands, it's never okay to start kicking someone's stuff. Not to mention they are rushing so much that they slamming my newly purchased furniture into walls, they ripped the hinges out of my entertainment leaving me with a door falling off. Great! Then they tell me they will put in a work order for it. I asked the delivery guy for a phone number to follow up on it and he gives me the HR/employee hotline. How helpful. I proceed to call the customer service number on the email of my order and reach a nice person (for once) named Nina, only problem is she puts me on hold for almost 20 mins, only to tell me she doesn't service my area. Why put a number that is useless to me on my order? Why does it also take 20 mins to figure out you can't help someone? What a waste of time. I then call the correct number and am told there is no work order in place to fix my broken item. So fed up at this point, as no one seems to be able to do their job or follow through with what they say. I finally schedule the work order and now will probably need to be home all day again for someone to deliver the piece of furniture bc it wasn't done properly the first time. (Thanks delivery guys!) needless to say, this whole process has been completely frustrating, this company gives you the run around and no one seems to be able to do their job correctly. DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY! Take my advice and save yourself the stress and wasted time. Terrible experience and I will be reaching out to the store manager to let them know what a terrible experience from beginning until now it's been. read more

After 80 days of waiting I finally got my table and no surprises. Delivered damaged. Scratches dents split wood. Delivery drivers were super nice and super fast. Even though they showed up after original delivery time. I saw them take everything out of boxes so it was damaged at the warehouse. Called corporate to talk about my damaged couches and there was no compensation just a wait another month to have someone else come back and try to fix it. Nothing has gone at all professional. It takes days or even weeks to get someone to call you. read more

please people don't waste your money on Ashley products. I ordered a sofa & xl recliner from store in Anniston, al. It took 10 weeks for items to get to the store & now one end of sofa is broken ..really 10 weeks & they cant build it correct . Now they want pics to see if they are gonna do anything about this ?????? wtc????? I paid 1600 CASH for this bs...NEVER AGAIN ASHLEY read more

I've had the worst experience with Ashley furniture. I ordered a king size bed, mattress, box spring, dresser and 2 night stands. on 3/23/2020. Part of the order came via UPS. The other part was supposed to be delivered yesterday 4/9/2020. Most of it was delivered except the box springs. I called around for hours trying to locate the box springs. They said they didn't arrive in time to make the delivery. I never received communication of this. Now the box springs are at the distribution center. A rep told me they would be delivered today and then I got a text message saying call to schedule my delivery and the next available delivery date is 4/14./2020....5 days AFTER I received the bed. So now i'm without a place to sleep because I can't put the mattress on without the box spring. Communication and customer service has been the worst. We are in a pandemic while requires social distancing and to allow multiple deliveries with multiple people entering a customer's home is dangerous to me and my family. I have requested several times for a manager to call me back. I still have not received a call. I had one rep offer me a 75.00 store credit, which is a slap in the face. First, what is there in the store that close 75.00 that wouldn't require me to add additional money? Second, why would I want to patronize a business who treat their consumers as second class citizens as if their money means nothing. In the current state we are in, Ashley should be happy anyone is spending money with them. Word of advice....go to The Room Place or Value City. I've never had issues with them or their customer service. read more

I will never purchase anything from Ashley Furniture again, specifically Shallotte, NC. I am writing this in regard to their customer care and the fake cleaning warranty that they sold me when I bought my 2 couches. When I bought my couches for our beach house, they sold me an extended protection warranty to have the couches cleaned in the event they ever needed it. They sold it on the premise that if I rented my house out, then I wanted this service. When I called their customer care, they had me call their "Warranty Company" - Furniture Care Protection (FCP - 888-705-4001). I called them early Monday morning and they told me to text some pictures to their number, which I did immediately. I told them I wanted service fairly soon since I was only down for a few days. They said they would get right back to me. Of course, they never replied, so I called again Wednesday. They told me that person was at lunch and they would get right back. No call, so I called Friday when I got home. Then they said they only review the claim pictures on Friday mornings. This would have been nice to know (if even true) on Monday, instead of wasting the whole week waiting for return calls. The best part was this guy then said they would not be able to handle my claim as he looked at my pictures. He gave me about 5 reasons that they don't cover claims, like stains in multiple locations, or if they have been there for any amount of time. Basically, there is no way they cover anything or any cleaning. The whole warranty is a scam. The worst part though is the poor service from the Warranty company and Ashley Furniture, as I had to call them on numerous occasions. They never responded to me whatsoever, and that was after telling me they would get back to me. I just asked them to give my money back for the fake warranty. They said they could not do that. One call, the office manager told me the store manager was not in, then when I said I was going to write some reviews, and all of a sudden, the manager was right there. The last thing I heard from the store was that I needed to call FCP again. Really??? I am now such a frustrated customer that I had to type this review, and I will write many more wherever I can. Too bad I couldn't give negative stars because I would. The CEO of this company should not allow customers to be treated this way as you can be sure everyone I know will be warned. read more

My recent experience with Ashley Furniture was disappointing. After waiting a month for my TV stand to be delivered, they called to set up a delivery time when I was outside of cell coverage. They called at 1:49 PM and told me that I had to confirm the delivery before 3 PM in order to have it delivered as scheduled. After getting back within cell coverage, I spent 1 1/2 hours on the phone trying to contact someone to confirm the delivery. Because it was just after 4 PM, no one answered the phone and the message said to call back during regular business hours. After spending 3 more hours on the phone and chat (being disconnected twice) with customer service, no one did anything to help resolve the situation. The delivery was moved out yet another week and I was told there was nothing that could be done. I will not be purchasing furniture from Ashley again. Customer service experience was horrible. read more

The worst customer service I have ever received. I was informed on the day of delivery some of the items that was purchased would not be received. Who does that especially when you have been told the day before would be received. Then you call the 800 number to see what is going on and you have incompetent and childish girl answer the phone and hang up in the customer face. Then you call again and this incompetent and childish girl does the same thing. Customer Service need to be addressed especially with what is going on currently with COVID-19. Apparently the childish individual don't need a job when others are losing theirs. Had I known about how rude Ashley's customer service was I would not have given them any of my hard earned money. I would have taken my business elsewhere. Not now or ever a customer should have to address childish behavior from a business. Also had I read Ashley's reviews I would have looked elsewhere because should no one ever have to deal with a incompetent and childhoods employee. So as of now I have not received my purchase but I do hope it is nothing like the other reviews I am reading. Because again it will be another lie a customer is being told. read more
