I went to Ashley Furniture in South Park Meadows looking for a sofa. While there I inquired about a new mattress and adjustable bed frame. I tried several mattresses and was shown an adjustable bed frame. the frame I was shown not only was adjustable, but had a massage function and other features. I decided not to purchase those items at that time. the salesperson then told me if I purchased the mattress he would give the bed frame at no charge. I agreed. When the adjustable frame was delivered, it had no massage function or the other extra features I had been shown. I feel I was mislead. Unfortunately as an elderly person, i do believe I was taken advantage of. Bottom line, Just be aware before you make a purchase in the mattress area. Ask a lot of questions. By the way, I also purchased a sofa--so far so good. Another thing that bothered me about dealing with Ashley Furniture, I wanted to pay "cash", but I was told I had to open an account--go figure! read more

Ive had nothing but issues with this company- i bought my entire house worth of furniture from this place and its gorgeous but omg its been a hellish process- they messed up my order multiple times like almost 4 major mistakes and sent damaged items- that they claim are discontinued now and i have to pick something new after i bought a full collection that matches. I have had nothing but constant issues with my deliveries, misordering of items and multiple malfunctioning issues with almost my whole order. i'm beyond upset with this company and i regret going with them. 3.5 My husband and I were looking for a small chair to buy for one of the rooms in our home. We stopped by Ashley Store while in the area to check out their selection of furniture. The parking lot is large. We found a spot easily. Upon entering we were greeted by a friendly salesman that let us know if we had any questions to let him know. Upon the official greeting we saw him several times as we browsed the store but we didn't have any questions for him so we just kept on looking. The store was big, bright, and clean. We didn't find what we were looking for but they do have a variety of things to look at and the salesman seems eager to answer questions if you have any. read more

I bought a table online and it was very different in person and the extension was extremely difficult to open and close and looked uneven. I spent all day trying to process an exchange or refund and was placed on long hold times and told three different things each time. First time, yes we can do that someone will call you (they didn't). second time, you can't exchange or refund too bad. third time, it has to be sent to a review committee. Sales and furniture available are very good. Very good rapport with sales and manager. The problem is customer service. Trying to call them is very hard. Put on hold for a long time, and then my phone number which is on the invoice, is not a good phone number. Then they ask for a 10-digit sales order. The sales order has a "F" in it so I could not put in my 10-digit sales order. There is NO local phone number to call. I got the sales person's name, but no card or phone # to reach him. read more

hands down the worst customer service experience I've ever had. I was supposed to have the couch I ordered delivered 8/8. I find get a text saying it was delivered. it wasn't. but because I was expecting a new couch to be delivered, I got rid of my old couch because they do t hep with removal. but also now I don't have a couch. I called the customer service, they say there's no notes on why the order was postponed, and they'd call me. they didn't. I go up to the store to get answers 6 hours after calling CS and get told they do t know. both time I'm told my couch will be delivered 8/9/25. but they've opened investigation tickets. I then get a text telling me to reschedule for later next week. mind you I currently don't have a couch! the old one is gone. so I get into a text thread with CS and im still not sure if the person wasn't a robot. no empathy. I didn't make the mistake that left me without a couch. scratch that, the mistake I made was going with Ashley in the first place. I then try calling CS again after the thread ends and no answer. I go back up to the store and they give me a different number. I call it the next day 8/9 because it was after their call hours when I got the number. the lady I spoke with, great, real sweet. tried to help me. got the delivery date moved up by 24 hours but I'm still without a couch for 3ish days. they REFUSE to compensate me for the further inconvenience. I spoke to a supervisor who rose his voice to me, and faked empathy to get me off the phone. he said I wasn't to be given additional compensation unless there was further delay. I told him that the original refund I was given was for the delivery that was supposed to be made today, and now it won't be till later in the week so by that logic I have experienced further delay. he still refused. AVOID doing business with Ashley. they WILL NOT TAKE CARE OF YOU!! Ifor the amount of money I spent, I expect way better service than confusing communications, lack of communication, and rude communication. The couch I bought was dropped, probably off a dock because the entire frame was busted apart in five places. The box had a huge gash in it when I found it on my doorstep after I got home from work. That's pretty annoying, right? Compared to talking to some offshore call center it's f'ing delightful in contrast. I asked several questions that they would not or could not answer. Instead I just call center script answers. Like when I asked what's the plan for getting this busted pile of garbage out of my house? They told me, "oh, well...you can dispose of it." Right, it's only a couch, maybe I can just put it down my garbage disposal. I get that accidents happen, but when they get picked up, put on a truck and left at your door that is just a clear sign that they couldn't care less. Purchasing from Ashley Furniture has been one of the worst experiences buying furniture we have ever had. We purchased a dining set and every single piece we ordered has arrived damaged. We purchased a dining set on Nov. 24th and was scheduled to be delivered December 5th. The table was damaged so they moved delivery to December 13th. On the 13th, the server was unable to be delivered because it was damaged, but when the table and chairs arrived they were damaged as well. When they tried delivery again, the server was damaged and missing shelves. We were given inaccurate info about a subsequent delivery on the 23rd, but that had to be moved, as it was incorrect information. They attempted their latest delivery today, but again the server was damaged. They don't honor refunds if you buy in store and this has been the worst $4k we have ever spent. I just wish we would have bought somewhere else, even second hand and saved our money instead of dealing with this headache. When you are spending this kind of money on items you expect them to be undamaged. This is just a basic consideration. As of now, I would not recommend purchasing furniture from this company. read more

Per the status quo: Ashley furniture is the worst. As I stated on my last review, the customer service claims to care and offers to help on Yelp, yet when you contact them on email when they request it, little to nothing is done. I was supposed to receive a refund (at the latest) yesterday, and I have yet to get it. I contacted that email and received no response. Totally dishonest company with no customer service. I called what I thought was billing to ask about my refund, and was told that customer service can do anything, that i would need to speak with Billing. They transferred me. Billing said they couldn't help, that I would need to call customer service. Called customer service and someone answered, and hung up after a 15 minute wait to get someone. Got a customer service person and they transferred me to billing. This is the epitome of being in limbo. Still on hold because I'm being transferred again 1 1/2 hours later. SWINDLED, SCAMMED, FRAUDED, CHEATED and LIED TOO! I went to Ashley Furniture in 10/20/23 against my husband's advice, because he warned me they would "Screw me over". I went there to buy a SOFA, only a SOFA, to replace the Party time Sofa we once had, which was recalled and Ashley Furniture also refused to replace. Unfortunately on this day I was victimized by a true Snake of a Salesman Josh Palmieri. I decided on the Backtrack Dual powered Sofa, he then offered me a great deal to also purchase the recliner. Mind you I didn't see the proverbial knife pointed at my back at that moment. We agreed on a price, he actually SHOOK my hand and smiled at me, with what I thought was genuine customer service, at that moment. Little didn't know this is where his ethics got thrown out the door. We went to the sales counter, he handed me the paper work pointing to where I needed to sign his copies. To my neglect, I trusted him, mistake #1. On 10/25 the order arrived at my house, when the delivery people began to unbox, I noticed it was a love seat, NOT the sofa. The delivery people said, oh no problem, just sign here that this has been delivered, then call this number and they will get it exchanged for you. 1-866-787-7930. Mistake #2 So I called the number and they stated the Store would have to correct it. I found my paperwork and saw that it said a LOVE SEAT not a Sofa. (KNIFE IN THE BACK ENTERED) I then called Josh immediately and ask why he had entered a loveseat, being that I NEVER was interested in a love seat, I had never looked at a loveseat nor did I inquire about a love seat. He then told me he would submit an email to get it corrected. Needless to say I never heard from him again. After countless calls to the store, and speaking to the GM Solomon Sutton, I was told, sorry all sales are final and there is no return policy, and that he had to support his salesmen. UNBELIEVABLE. What I have learned from this is JOSH PALMIERI , consciously, knowingly, and willingly sold me a sofa and recliner, but intentionally entered a loveseat into the system knowing I wouldn't check his work because I had already thanked him for restoring my faith in Ashley furniture. MISTAKE #3. My advice to you is stay clear of this Ashley store and specially stay clear of the SHADY UNETHICAL poor excuse for human being Josh Palmieri. One sales person, Sydney, introduced herself and offered assistance.  She came around later to check on me. I had identified some of my needs in my new couch, and she attacked it like a quest!  No longer did I wonder aimlessly around the store. She gave me direction!  She found ones online to show me that were in the store to see if they caught my eye and discussed how they met my requirements, then I checked them out. She didn't judge me for discounting any couch for any reason (too firm, too squishy, oddly shaped pillows, lol).  Working thru the paperwork for delivery was easy, and it was easy to understand the delivery time-line and process.  I am very happy with the couch I selected and look forward to its delivery. read more

Horrible horrible customer service! They never answer the phone and just show up even when you have not even confirmed the delivery. I have called to reschedule delivery about 5 x and no one EVER answers. This is not a reflection of the people I have spoken to-- those people have been nice but Ashley's is lacking in systems and clear communications training. How do you tell people to call to reschedule a delivery time but then not answer? I had read the reviews prior to buying and asked my sales rep about it, Adriana, and she said that people were just upset that delivery times were delayed due to COVID but said the rest of the concerns weren't really valid. Well after experiencing this and waiting 3 months for my matching love seat I see why there are so many bad reviews. They don't value their customers-- it's all about getting the sale. Please don't buy from here. There is basically a NO RETURN policy and it is not clearly stated if you order online. If an item has been damaged, you have 72 hours ONLY (what?) to notice the damage and report it. But for any other reason -- the item isn't going to fit, you found something you liked better, etc. -- they will NOT stand by their merchandise and will NOT take it back. I have never come across a company with a policy like this unless an item was sold as clearance or "as is." We tried to return a table that WAS STILL IN THE UNOPENED BOX a week after purchasing it when we got into a new apartment and realized it wouldn't fit but they shut us down. So disappointed in this store. We purchased several furniture at the south park meadows on 12/11/2021. The store claimed furniture will arrive in 12 to 15 weeks. It's been more than 5 months and still there are several items missing, not only that, I had to send the beds back to the store because they were damage not once, but 3 times. One of the tables we bought never arrived because they said they are not in production anymore. After trying to solve the problem nothing seems to work with this company, they don't care about their costumers or their needs. Went to the store on Saturday May 14th, take to a manager and he said he will give me a call Monday to follow up with me, it is Wednesday and still haven't received that phone call. We recently bought the `Counter Height Dining Table and Bar Stools (Set of 5) Item #: D385-223`. We bought it online during the memorial day sales. The package delivery was in awful condition. The thermocol it was packed in, was completely broken and the house was in a mess. We had to do a deep cleaning after we assembled the furniture. While opening we also found that one chair was broken. I have called customer care multiple times after that. They said, it takes to 7-10 days to just process the order and then delivery takes a couple of days. My order hasn't even been processed yet. So I have a dining table with 3 chairs and some spare parts and a broken part with no idea when the part will be delivered or what is the status of this part. This is insane. read more

Called warranty department, who took 4 months to send a repairman, who couldn't fix it properly. It broke again within a month. Called for another repairman, which took 4 more months. This guy was even worse, and he screwed up the upholstery, then left. Called back to their ignorant customer service department, who sent new upholstery under warranty. That took another month or so. Finally called back to get it fixed, and suddenly they refuse to fix it, saying it was out of warranty. Well, it's only out of warranty because Trashley wasted most of the year with their screw-ups! The sales person told us the delivery date was set for 2 - 3 weeks from the purchase date. I called Ashley after passing this timeframe and not receiving a call. The customer service agent told me issues delayed the delivery another 2 - 3 weeks, We've now passed that date by a few weeks and never received a call. One month of stressful experience with this store. People were nice on the first day and helped me to pick the sofa on my budget and I could see what I wanted, that's why 2 stars. But then after 3 days of waiting it was delivered but delivery guys couldn't fit through the hallway and after their first attempt took a picture and left with words "probably they will call to suggest another sofa". Of course nobody even called me. Next day I went to the store and initiated a refund. I was told that it would take a couple days. One week later i came back to the store to ask what is going on and it seemed like finally they initiated my refund again and another employee of their store was called stupid because he promised me the couple days. Anyway I went to another store and got my couch what was delivered next day with no issues. But it's already been three weeks and I'm still waiting for my refund from this store! Ashley furniture located at Southpark Meadows in Austin lies and cheats. They are eager to sell their cheap furniture. J gave us lots of promises, including white glove service. Nothing he told us turned out to be accurate. We had to quickly buy furniture to move my 90 year old mother and J seemed helpful. But when the furniture arrived, the boxes were dumped in my mother's room at the assisted living facility. No white glove service. Not only did she pay a lot for the cheap POSs Ashley sold us, she had to pay another few hundred dollars to have the furniture assembled. A wrong part was included for the side table and we ordered a replacement. The replacement came but was the wrong size, Desperate, we decided to use the piece. But when we got the drawer to the nightstand together, we realized the tracks were in the wrong place. The drawer sits high in the slot and the top of the drawer is higher than the top of the stand. J promised to help but we never heard from him again. How can you live with yourself, J? How does it feel to screw every customer? One of them is a 90 year old woman. Don't pay for them to assemble the furniture. They will rush, leave lose parts behind, angle the furniture so you don't notice the missing parts, rush you to sign off on the furniture and get out. They'll also leave a mess. My dining room table should have shelves but they are missing. I called the delivery guys as soon as they left to come back, they said it didn't come with shelves, they'll have to check with the warehouse. I called their customer service line multiple times only to get hung up on. I don't know where to get these shelves and I'm sure the store will say it's my fault. Worst furniture I've ever owned! Couches and loveseats are no longer made with springs. For cushion support they use plastic mesh similar to old-style lawn furniture. Sag, sag, sag! The love seats were only a couple months old when the sagging started. The Service and Warranty manager said that as long as the junk is made to manufacturer specs, Ashley will not do anything. And their return policy is now 3 days after delivery. We've bought a lot of furniture from Ashley over the years and been satisfied. But the couch and loveseat in our livingroom (purchased 11/2020) are the most uncomfortable furniture pieces we have ever sat on. And the loveseats we got for the sunroom are terrible! Don't waste your money! And make sure to ask about construction wherever you go. The fellow from the furniture repair company says even the big name furniture companies are cutting corners now. They also double charged the protection plan. I waited for hours trying to speak to customer service and finally gave up. Once they get your money and pretend they will be able to help with post purchase questions or concerns, they avoid you and disrespect your time. I called to speak to the manager, Joseph Cardenas, who sold me my items (said a 4-6 week delivery window and here we are in week 7 and no update), he answered and put me on hold right away for 5-6 minutes until someone else answered to take my contact information for a call back. She offered to help me with locating my delivery date and placed me on hold for another 15 minutes until I just hung up. Do not waste your time or money here. You will constantly be disappointed. You can purchase tons of Ashley made furniture through third party vendors for less money too! The only reason I gave 2 stars is because when our last purchase was delayed, at least the manager at that time (Michael) was accommodating and helpful.
