While coming back form the Apple Domain Northside store, I saw the CB2 store. Pretty often I see folks with those black CB2 shopping bags when I am at the Domain. Then a light bulb went off in my head. This store was one of the ones that was on our list for mirrors. While they had some mirrors, none were the size we are looking for. I learned from on of the sales associates, Marley, that CB stands for Crate & Barrel...parent store. CB2 Domain Northside store sells sleek, modern and eye-catching furniture. According to a sales associate, due to the store's heavy foot traffic (Next door to the Apple Domain Northside store), they design window displays to grab the attention of potential shoppers. CB2 sells a selection of sofas, tables, dinnerware and other modern furniture and housewares. The store appears a bit eclectic, which I like. They had some usual shaped vases and unique coffee table sculptures. I purchased 4 water glasses that were on sale as I have broken at least that many over the last few months. These glasses were $2.50 each and made in Poland. read more

Not too impressed. CB2 used to have cool odd things, stuff you wouldn't find anywhere else. Their inventory has changed. Like you would find skull shot glasses, or cool looking desk stuff, hour glass, etc. now it's more of very over priced furniture. Small selection of kitchen dish ware and glasses. I guess if you want more of a variety, you should shop at Crate & Barrel. When I walked in, I was greeted, but they certainly were not going out of their way to help me. We ordered a dining room table stand and it was absolutely terrible in fitment we got it for more than 50% off as a final sale so we aren't that bothered about it and can make it work. It is not the quality I would have expected from CB2. Also when we went to pick up the stand the warehouse was a hot mess. It was unorganized and everything was poorly stored and managed. Lastly, the store glasses were coated with dust. I think CB2 has lost it pizazz! read more

Stay away from CB2 and it's new sketchy credit card program!! As a loyal customer who spent $10,000+ on CB2, I'm frustrated by its recent credit card transition from Synchrony to Imprint after spending another $5,000 recently. My auto-payment wasn't set up with Imprint and I couldn't activate the account, so I tried to reach customer service to make a payment but the sketchy Imprint never picked up the call and kept failing to verify my account. Then I asked CB2 for help because my payment is due and it will start charging late fees and penalties. However, CB2 insisted it was none of their business and I would have to deal with the sketchy fintech company Imprint myself. I told her I wanted to make a payment asap to avoid penalty but just couldn't activate the account with Imprint and no one picked up the call from Imprint. At the end of the day, the store manager just told me I'd have to pay for all the penalties caused by a late payment and it was not her job to solve the issue. read more

They can add an extra layer of help and they have complementary design consultants. Todays story: In redoing my bathroom, one of the vanity mirrors I ordered from elsewhere came in broken. I needed to get my bathroom set up in a week, before Thanksgiving, and to get another would take too long. I found some okay ones from Amazon that night but nothing satisfying and lengthy ship times. This morning, after brunch, I decided to check out CB2. Found some fantastic mirrors online at a better price and quality than the original ones. Standing at the door right as they opened, in my Saturday casual-shabby, I was immediately greeted and helped instantly. While they don't have them in stock (which I expected) the person who helped me was 100% on board to find something that would work in my budget and timeframe and did all the leg work for me!! Moral: 10 minutes in and out, they found exactly what I needed and I was able to get it next day!! I'm actually happy the original mirror broke. This is why 1/2 of my furniture is from CB2. read more

One of my favorite store! Bought several items from CB2, in person or online- I always have a great experience. When in person, the sales associates mostly leave me alone (and I prefer it that way). Purchasing online, delivery is always within the timeframe and the delivery folks always courteous. They were wearing their masks the whole time. They have interesting furniture and items inside if you are looking for something different. Your taste will have to be something like West Elm and hipster to like most of the items in here... they remind me of revival 60s-70s furniture from like a Frank Lloyd Wright house... but it's nice. If you are looking for some dinnerware or decorative elements and lamps and such you could easily find a statement piece in here. The minimalist style furniture is not to my taste. Minimal interaction with staff - they left us alone and didn't say anything to us while we shopped - but we did not ask them for help either. read more

I traveled to this store ready to spend a shit ton of money on my brand new 5000 sqft house that'll be done in August. The store was "regulating" entry for "covid reasons" (while there was literally 10 people in the entire store), i was rolling my eyes but quietly waiting my turn-- about 2 minutes into my shopping experience I was very abruptly reprimanded for pulling my mask down to DRINK WATER when it's blazing hot outside, and I was at least 40 feet from the next closest customer. Needless to say, I left without spending a dime even though I had so much already picked out with my designer. I received a call this past Tuesday from the warehouse and they re-scheduled a delivery, in lieu of the missed delivery appointment, for 2/27, for partial pieces of furniture. As of now, 2 pm, no delivery, and no indication of we should expect anything. Called the store and spoke with Kris. She offered to look into it. Called me back and said, we should not expect a delivery anytime soon because "the ball was dropped somewhere along the way and they have 54 deliveries this week". She is offering March 12 for the delivery date. This will not work for us as we will be on travel. I also need to receive the merchandise that I paid for in November. This operation is beyond ridiculous and the level of incompetence might qualify for the Guinness records. My order number is: 6021343XYZ. With the excellent customer service and the cleanliness of the open concept of the furniture Gallery it's just an inspiration of how you would like your dream house to look inside. I just had a terrible experience at CB2 in the Domain. The manager was so condescending when we tried to return some very crappy, cheaply made wine glasses. She would not accept our return since we washed them. And therein lies the problem because we were so unhappy with how they washed up. I could understand the company policy with them being used, but the manager was so unhelpful and just rude. It is so sad that one person can represent a company as large as Crate and Barrell and give such a negative impression. I would not recommend this company ... I would prefer West Elm and their quality products. read more

The (supposedly) cheaper and more urban-oriented version of Crate & Barrel is here, finally! But overall? Pros: + friendly staff + quality product Cons: - a lot of the quality products are actually poorly priced (overpriced) for some odd reason - small store layout - only one floor and limited variety If I were you, I'd still head over to Crate & Barrel (at least for the trinkets) since I'd find many of the same stuff over there, but with greater variety. For example, the silverwares in CB2 are all Chinese-made (nothing wrong with that nowadays), whereas in Crate & Barrel, you'll find some made in multiple countries, including some other Asian countries and European countries (which is reputed to be better quality). Luckily the two stores are not too far from each other. But overall, it doesn't hurt to window shop, and it's nice to be able to do that while staying in the vicinity of the Domain. read more

Store seems like it has very nice and reasonably priced items, BUT the staff is not very friendly and very unhelpful. We had a friend who placed an online order and asked us to pick up the items. We went to the store and they said it was not ready to pick up and did not know when it would be. So, we asked can't we just buy the items here in the store instead and they said sure. I have purchased many pieces of furniture from CB2 over the last year and it is my favorite store out there. It seems that their products are higher quality than a comparable store like West Elm's. The only thing keeping this from being rated a 5 star business on Yelp is the ridiculously bad system they have going with products on back order. Everything I've purchased, I've waited for lengthy periods of time for them to arrive. I've never shopped for anything where I've waited as long as you will with CB2. I've waited close to 3 months for hanging shelves. My dining room table a month, my dining room chairs 2 months and now will be waiting 2-3 months for my credenza. Like I said earlier, this one issue would make them 5 stars. Love this place! They have a wonderful selection of modern pieces that are fairly inexpensive. Everything we've purchased from CB2 is great quality and stylish! Customer service here is always exceptional. We've made several purchases and the employees seem happy to go above and beyond to make sure you're getting what you came for. We bought some drawer knobs and a towel bar, all of which were stocked in the back. While we were waiting, the employee also showed us "upcoming" items on her iPad that would match the things we were getting. (We had told her we were having a hard time finding gold bathroom accessories.) Ordering with them is a breeze since we can have it shipped directly to the store. I wanted to match nightstands with my leather Forte bed, no one would pick up after weeks of calling someone finally picked up. Took 5 representatives and 2 hours to properly match. I wish I could move in! I happened upon CB2 during a brunch promotion they were throwing and they had quality wines, the mile of mimosas and some stellar bloody Mary all in a gorgeous setting. The furniture hear is lovely, I could see each piece in my home if I had the room for it all! The layout is open and what I will really drawn to is the dishes with unique affordable glasses for each type of drink/occasion. If you are looking for anything from a vase to a bed to outdoor lounge furniture they have it covered. Staff is super friendly. I will definitely be back and consider them when I am in the market for new furniture and house goods. read more

I went in looking for pillows and small trinkets, and loved how the shop was laid out and beautifully designed. Ended up buying a few pillows and LOVE the designs they offer - can't wait to go back! The bathrooms are closed for COVID. That's ridiculous and lazy. Every other restaurant and shop has the bathrooms available to patrons. Cb2 literally has the worst customer service. I have called six times over the past month stayed on hold up to 40 minutes, went in store, emailed twice and still have not received a response. I 100% regret doing my wedding registry with this company. Because now due to your lack of diligence someone who gifted us off your website will not get a thank you. Because there is no possible way to figure out who sent the gift. Which mind you wasn't cheap. Also, online it says multiple items have been fulfilled but guess what.. we haven't received them. They even let me borrow a dining chair for a few minutes (I work and live nearby and they had done their due diligence so they knew I'd bring it right back) to see how it would look in my home because I was having a terrible time deciding on which fabric to choose. We ordered a furniture online, but then we decided to cancel the order. We tried to cancel the order over phone but had to wait hours to get anyone to help us. So we decided to try this store and find out if they could help us. Point blank the person said she couldn't help us. And she didn't even bother to try out. Further, her response was pretty rude. CB2 should teach how to handle customers for these employees. For a chain such as this big, I find it odd that they couldn't cancel the order. Overall I didn't have good experience. Ordered a Bed and Dresser mid June, the bed was on backorder until "early July". It is now August 8th, after lots of time on the phone with CB2's customer service over the last few weeks I have finally had enough. It seems that, despite what they tell me on the phone, this is an extremely common way they do business with their popular products. They take the money while not having any idea when the item will be in stock. The customer service reps have offered me no excuse or firm eta. After being told last week that the bed would be in stock on 7th August, I just got off the phone with them and now it's looking to be in stock "vaguely late August to early September". I fine to wait for an item to be in stock, but accurate delivery/stock dates are nonexistent and CB2 doesn't seem to care. Due to this disgraceful service I am canceling my whole order and won't be shopping at CB2 or crate and barrel again. Beware, if you order backordered items, their estimated dates are give or take a few months. read more

Shay provided excellent customer service. I was looking to purchase hardware for my kitchen remodel, she discussed the different options and provided me with what they had in store, while also setting up free shipping to my house for the rest of my order. She did this in one transaction and knew the system very well. It is hard to ring up a return, an in store purchase AND an online order all at the same time and have everything correctly done. I was really happy she was able to help me! When I saw another set of hardware was on back order until October she also provided me with the name and number of a store that had plenty in stock, allowing me to call and get my order sooner so I could complete my remodel! Cb2 is Crate and Barrel in case you did not know like me. I go here often for work and I deduct a star because I had gone in there twice last week and not one person engaged or talked to me at all. Now on the same token, there are days where many employees talk I just would like to witness stable consistency as a customer. I love their home products and especially their lights and kitchen products and have had very good luck with the handfuls of items I have bought here and the store is just beautiful. I will be a repeat cb2 customer and love seeing their new arrivals and I also love this location even though there is construction next door at the moment because it was loud last Thursday but it can't be helped.
