I have a mattress I've always been in love with, but it's 10 years old and, and in the past 9ish months, I've notice it's sagging. I really didn't want to have to buy a new mattress, especially right now, but here we are. The mattress I have (a Beautyrest Recharge Worldclass) is no longer made, and I was finding conflicting information in forums on what people recommended. I saw reviews about Robert here, and was hoping he could help me. He knew exactly what mattress I was talking about, and said that would help him find a similar mattress for me. I knew the firmness I wanted based on what I had bought combined with buying a plush mattress for my guest room that everyone raves about, but I can't sleep 1 night in there without feeling like I'm sinking. He had me try about 8 mattresses. The 8th one felt Exactly like my old mattress before it started sagging. It was just this feeling. I went back to a couple of the others (which were more expensive) to make sure. Robert was so amazing the whole time. Calm and just explaining the differences. I ended up choosing a mattress that Factory Mattress itself makes. It's called the Milton. It's similar to a Serta, I think. I had it delivered yesterday (they took my other mattress), and I slept so well! I wasn't expecting to on the first night. Bought my mattress 8 years ago from Robert, and when i returned to shop for a replacement (due to sagging), he suggested i go through the warranty process. After that was completed, I returned to purchase a new mattress but Robert was not available and another salesman assisted me. I was happy to complete the warranty process (which was fairly simple), I now find myself wishing i knew more about the refund process than i was told. First, the refund was a credit with the store, not an actual refund of cash. Second, although the refund could be used on any brand mattress FM sells, the warranty on the NEW mattress has the same expiration date as the OLD mattress. That is, the 10-year warranty on my new mattress will expire in two years. Third, i was told if I'm not happy with the new mattress, too bad. There are no exchanges or returns on mattresses purchased with a warranty credit. So looks like I'm stuck with a brick of a mattress that is nothing like the comfy one i tried in the store. He was super nice and let the kiddo try out the different mattresses just as an adult would, which is necessary as the tiny person will be the one using it. After taking their robo-mattress test (you must try asd the voice-over during it are pure awesome), Justin used that data and actually listened to what we wanted / needed and recommended 5 different beds across a range of prices. He gave us plenty of space and time, answered all of our questions and helped us purchase right quick with the delivery of new mattress and adjustable base scheduled for the next day. Super solid process all the way through. Please note that the store will consider returns (with a cleaning /restocking fee) only if you buy one of their mattress protectors (fine by me). A hidden gem in the land of 9,000 Mattress Firms! I wanted to spend under $1,000 on a King, mattress only. I went in and told them that price point and they showed me three great options. I chose what worked best, paid them, along with $59 for next day delivery, and was off. I realized later they cut me a deal because the one I left with showed a price tag of $1,300+. They even hauled off my old mattress for that price. The selection is about the same size as most mattress places and you'll pay a heck of a lot less. Score! read more

I am upgrading to a king bed and honestly I was dreading the mattress buying process (especially during COVID). I wasn't sure about hopping from mattress to mattress, not wanting to lay on it for too long. I have been having some back pain from my current mattress and didn't really know what I wanted. Went to about 5-7 mattress stores around town and this was by far the worst experience. When I walked in, the sales guy gave me the typical hello to which I politely replied. He asked how he could help - I said I was just looking for now and would let him know if I had any questions, thank you. He then began following me around the store, asking me all sorts of questions, one of which being what I did for a living. I was vague with my answer - that info is personal and not relevant - to him or ANYONE I just meet. He sneered and made rude commentary under his breath. He continued to follow me around the store, this time asking me what other mattress stores I had checked out. Again - none of your business, irrelevant and no, we're not having this conversation. Once again, I politely told him I did not need his assistance but would let him know if I did. I continued to walk around the store - entering the more expensive section. He made a rude comment about how those mattresses would be out of my price range. Oh really? As I hadn't provided him with a budget, I'd love to know where he came up with this idea. I ignored him. Clearly not taking the first 234 very obvious hints, he then proceeded to try and pressure me into buying a mattress that night, when I had been very clear on multiple occasions that I was only browsing and not at all looking to purchase that evening. What?! Are you kidding!? Made a beeline to the door and never returned again. Worst customer service from all the mattress stores I visited. The husband and I finally found a mattress we both like. Watch out world, I'm pretty sure that's a sign of the apocalypse. Husband would be happy sleeping on rocks, whereas I'm a cloud girl myself. In the last year, we have tried (and returned) a Tempur-pedic and a Sleep Number bed. We were once happy on a pillow top, innerspring mattress, so we decided to give those another go. We shopped at a nearby competitor, where we have purchased 2 mattress in the past, but weren't really sold on anything. I found a mattress I kinda liked for $3k, but that's quite a bit to spend on a bed that we'll likely replace in 7-8 years and I only kinda liked it - I wasn't in "OMG!! GIVES IT TO ME NOW" love with it, so we kept looking. We walked in and met with Robert. He asked us some questions and had us lay on several types of beds. At some point during this process, my allergies kicked in (Oh hey, thanks Cedar!) and I had to leave - right that moment. I darted to the car for tissues and the Husband wrapped things up with Robert, thanking him for his time and help and getting his card. We took off to Target to get me some allergy meds and decided to return again another day. Several weeks went by. The pickup date for the Sleep Number bed was looming and unless we found something quick, we'd be sleeping on the floor in a few days. It was time to wrap up shopping and pick something. We headed back to see Robert, who happened to be there - thankfully! He remembered us, and the beds we had enjoyed. I was so out of it on the allergy day that I wanted to start over a bit and test some more. He was very patient with me as I made my way through their innerspring mattress selection again. I narrowed my selection down to 2 mattresses and the Husband happened to like one of them quite a bit. WINNER!! The mattress happened to be on sale by quite a bit. SWEET!! And it was delivered the next morning. EVEN BETTER! No nights on the floor for us! Hooray!! We've had the mattress for a few weeks now and we still like our bed very much. The Husband has declared Factory Mattress as our new first stop when bed shopping. He was so impressed with the service and price. read more

Just bought a box spring and frame, but I had a good experience here. Service was quick, friendly, and professional and price was reasonable. The showroom seems to have a nice selection but I can't speak for prices there since I wasn't really shopping. The carry a lot of Tempurpedic. we bought a king size mattress from factory mattress for our brand new house, they delivered it the following day but when the driver took it from the plastic there was a dead bug. I asked him is it a bed bug? He said yes but he told me it came from our house!!! He also refused to take it back and was super aggressive. Now they said I had to pay $250 for exchange and another delivery charge. What we should do now? Factory mattress you're suck I need my money back. Stay away from this business go anywhere else. Those guys got no so Still no solution with them. Factory mattress I need my money back. Stay away from factory mattress. Factory Mattress sent me a number to call the guy told me he got no clue about my case. Also I heard from one of their unhappy customers they're famous with selling used mattress as its new, now I knew why they're so aggressive for selling a protector so they can hide their guilt. Pros: I like our mattress and feel that we got it for a good price with minimal hassle. Robert was a huge help to us at the store without being pushy and if I were writing this review solely based on him it would be a 5. Cons: The delivery men were horrific. I truly wish we had not elected delivery. They were disrespectful and incompetent. They delivered the wrong bed, then left us with the wrong bed, then called to say they had the right bed and on their second trip up yelled at my dog. Both of my dogs were in their crates and one of them got anxious with all the people coming in and out of the house so he started barking. He was zero threat to them (he's a 12 pound yorkie in a crate, c'mon guys). It was a stressful situation and it was not worth the $59 + tax fee to have to deal with that behavior. read more

Hi factory mattress, y'all were very sweet to me and I appreciate that. Unfortunately , I'm sitting here on a mattress tonight after over a week of paying for the one I wanted, but this isn't what I laid on at the store. Also the delivery guys did not come in the time expected, and I called an hour before. They came earlier and I wasn't here. buyer beware--- was told the reason the floor models are softer-- because...., for a year people have been sitting on those at the store, softening them up and breaking them in. Reality- actually is so much harder. Unfortunately, after an almost broken neck, I need a mattress that is the same as the one in the store. Bummer. UPDATE: Seven months later now----after seven months of having friends come and jump and walk on the bed to try to soften it up, still not as soft as the one in the store. Will be returning to get credit for a better model. This mattress is the Sealy Posturepedic line, by the way. read more

Had a great experience here today! We even decided to spend more than we had originally planned bc the service and bed were great. Our salesmen was attentive and friendly even though he had about 3 other customers he was attending to simultaneously. We were looking to invest about $800 in a mattress at the start of our shopping venture, but ended up spending about $1200 (but got 2 memory foam pillows included). Our decision to spend more was based on the great service and info we got from our salesmen, who thankfully spoke "bedding-terms" that we could understand. Didn't bore us with the technicalities, but addressed the questions and concerns we had. Very quick check-out. This places carries lots of basics, memory foam,Tempurpedic, etc. Free delivery and old mattress removal if needed. We'd just come from another place very close by where we weren't greeted, assisted or so much as checked in on while wandering around the show-room for over 20 minutes. We left unhappy and luckily wandered into Factory Mattress Sales. I wish I knew our salesmen's name to recommend him to you, but the invoice does say "JMon" on it if thats any help. read more

My wife and I went headed out to Sunset Valley to run an errand... begin a search for a mattress for a guest room. Having spent a couple decades working at a small marketing and advertising firm, even listing a national mattress company as a client for a few years, I was expecting the usual salespersons tactics and process. I actually enjoy watching a salesperson try and go through their scripts and techniques to make a sale- generally I despise the disingenuous connection many salespeople try to make just to make a sale. But I am also sympathetic because while I believe real relationships are the marrow of life, even sales relationships, it's hard to develop a relationship in the 5-30 minutes a salesperson has with a customer. But I digress... Heidi greeted us soon after we entered the store and the first thing I noticed was that for a mattress store, this store had great ambiance. It's in a building all by itself in a larger strip mall, and has almost 360 degrees of windows with many tree filled views. Not a bad view when laying down on mattresses. She asked what we were looking for today and we told her. She immediately showed us three VERY reasonably priced mattresses that were varying level of softness, support and overall comfort. After (literally) bouncing from mattress to mattress, we were pretty satisfied with the choices and prices. Heidi did let us know about the higher end more expensive mattresses, but did not in any way attempt to manipulate us to lean that way. We actually learned quite a bit about the different brand manufacturers. While we were mattress (s)hopping, she spent time looking on the computer to see if there were comparable mattresses to those we were focused on to see if there were any coupons, display models, discontinuations, etc. that could save us some money. At one point, another customer came in (up to that point we were alone with Heidi in the store) to take advantage of the mattress guarantee on the 364th day of her 365 day window. I watched to see how she would treat the situation with multiple customers and was pleased that she juggled the needs of both parties well. In the end, we were very glad we stepped into that store and met Heidi. We easily came away with what we were looking for, felt no pressure or salesperson induced emotions typical of higher priced retail goods, and enjoyed the personality and expertise of the person helping us. We would go back to Heidi in a heartbeat for any mattress needs in the future. read more

I am honestly shocked by the glowing reviews! This place closely resembles my version of hell. The moment you walk in a used car salesman runs over and immediately wants to know your price range, what you do for a living, and how big of an idiot you are so they can up sell you. I had the displeasure of dealing with the stores manager or maybe even the branch manager. They get you laying on a couple of beds and it's not long before they start talking about coil count and how the lower priced ($1899... Ha!) bed your laying on can't support you like the $5000 bed across the room. They have these lame coil count mini models that they want you to ooohhhh and ahhhh over but it's so gimmicky that I couldn't wait to get out of there. Unfortunately, I laid on a bed I really liked. It was really soft and quite lovely. However, there were two price tags on the bed and I knew neither of those were what you actually sold a bed for. That's the thing about mattress shopping... If we took away the bartering and the negotiating it might be a pleasant process. But, as a sales manager for a Fortune 500 company who negotiates all day long i find the process quite barbaric for your everyday mattress buyer. It's pitiful that people even pay these inflated prices. Tried to get an idea of how much wiggle room we had on the bed. It was obvious since the salesman we had the displeasure of working with wasn't on commission we were not going to be benefiting in receiving a lower price. He was a total asshole if we're being honest. He spoke down to both of us like we were asking for the craziest thing in the world by asking for a lower price. You know what? We took our business elsewhere. His best price was $1799 with nothing included so we said hasta la viesta and went to URBAN MATTRESS. Oh my gosh. What a God send that was! Urban has 3 locations and is local to austin. We liked their central location. We were given a beer when we walked in and the no pressure no haggle sales approach really resonated after the exhaustion of factory and mattress firm. Their beds are all natural and all organic and here's the best part- the price tag on the mattress is fair and it's the real price! Imagine that. No bartering needed! We received a lovely bed with free delivery and they threw in the pillows, bed cover, etc. I actually enjoyed it and you can find that glowing review on my Yelp page. My boyfriend and I went to look at mattresses a few months ago and John helped us. We hadn't gotten a new mattress in almost 15 years. He listened to what I needed for my injured back and the price range we wanted. He showed us all the options available and explained the benefits of each. He wasn't pushy and did not try to up sell us. He did a great job. The return policy made us feel good about our choice. We ended up not needing it because we love the mattress we selected. We got a posturepedic core support medium and love it although we did keep our old mattress topper on it too. I bought a mattress that was supposed to come with a Best Buy gift certificate and for some reason I didn't receive it in my email...guessing it went to Spam and I couldn't find it! Regardless, I spoke with Mark and he got back to me very quickly and followed up the next morning saying he'd handled everything and would have Best Buy reissue the certificate right away. Even though it was probably my fault for missing it, he was extremely polite and friendly and did not make me feel bad or inconvenienced for having to do this. We had a warranty claim on a 3 year old Serta memory foam mattress. Jake in the warranty dept made it so easy. After he submitted our claim on our behalf to Serta, Serta wanted to send someone out to review the mattress themselves before approving our claim. Instead, Jake said that Factory Mattress would just take the mattress back from us and they would deal with Serta. We could just go into the store and pick out a new mattress. If you read about Serta's warranty dept online you find out how terrible they are to deal with. Factory Mattress made it so we never even had to have contact with them. The whole process took about 2 weeks. Completely painless. That's some SERIOUS customer service in my book. read more
