I have bought mattresses here on three occasions and each time the staff is genuine, low pressure, has gone out of their way for service.

It's funny that they keep saying they can't be open because if staffing issues. Maybe it's an employer issue?

We purchased a queen mattress from Urban Mattress about ten years ago and remembered how much we…read moreenjoyed our experience with the company (and our mattress itself, which was divine), so we went back when it came time to upgrade to a king. Unfortunately, UM didn't carry the brand of mattress that we had anymore (we originally wanted to buy the same one, just bigger), but we chose a UM branded mattress that was just as comfortable. Shannon helped us and was a bright and cheerful presence as we figured out what we wanted. And we knew we wanted to test every mattress in our price range -- you can't do that with those mail-away mattresses! Due to supply chain issues, we didn't get the new mattress for about two weeks, but we were happy to sleep on our old mattress until then (Shannon did offer us a loaner, but it wasn't necessary). On the delivery day, the delivery guys called about ten minutes out and then expertly hauled our old mattress away and placed the new mattress on our bedframe. They were in and out and done in 5 minutes. The customer service here is top-notch and we love our new mattress. Definitely recommend Urban Mattress if you need a new mattress.

Falling apart with the first few days of removing the mattress protector to was it. We shopped for several days and visited multiple places because we have small children (under 5) that have severe allergies to certain materials. Shane assured us over and over that the 100 day trial was completely risk free and that in no way would the children be in danger of coming in contact with the material. I have that in a text from Shane. Low and behold the children did get sick and when we called to process the return Shane did everything except respond. When he finally did respond they sent out two guys who admitted they knew absolutely nothing about mattresses but they were instructed to leave it if it looked used. Shannon stated that in order to process a return they needed to be able to sell the mattress at a discount rate. But neither of the "professionals" in this instance ever evaluated the mattress. Only took the word of two movers who openly admitted to knowing nothing about mattresses. Still no response from Shane. Shannon however was brave enough to respond and stated that Shane would call me as soon as he finished putting up shelving in the back. Must be a large custom job because we still haven't heard from him. This is a completely different Shane than the one who was working so hard to get our business. Who seemed so knowledgeable and confident in the product he sells. Seems like he cared more about making money than he did for the safety and concern for our children.

I have a mattress I've always been in love with, but it's 10 years old and, and in the past 9ish…read moremonths, I've notice it's sagging. I really didn't want to have to buy a new mattress, especially right now, but here we are. The mattress I have (a Beautyrest Recharge Worldclass) is no longer made, and I was finding conflicting information in forums on what people recommended. I saw reviews about Robert here, and was hoping he could help me. He knew exactly what mattress I was talking about, and said that would help him find a similar mattress for me. I knew the firmness I wanted based on what I had bought combined with buying a plush mattress for my guest room that everyone raves about, but I can't sleep 1 night in there without feeling like I'm sinking. He had me try about 8 mattresses. The 8th one felt Exactly like my old mattress before it started sagging. It was just this feeling. I went back to a couple of the others (which were more expensive) to make sure. Robert was so amazing the whole time. Calm and just explaining the differences. I ended up choosing a mattress that Factory Mattress itself makes. It's called the Milton. It's similar to a Serta, I think. I had it delivered yesterday (they took my other mattress), and I slept so well! I wasn't expecting to on the first night. I always wake up in the middle of the night, but this was one of the best nights in many months. Thank you, Robert!

Bought my mattress 8 years ago from Robert, and when i returned to shop for a replacement (due to…read moresagging), he suggested i go through the warranty process. After that was completed, I returned to purchase a new mattress but Robert was not available and another salesman assisted me. I was happy to complete the warranty process (which was fairly simple), I now find myself wishing i knew more about the refund process than i was told. First, the refund was a credit with the store, not an actual refund of cash. Second, although the refund could be used on any brand mattress FM sells, the warranty on the NEW mattress has the same expiration date as the OLD mattress. That is, the 10-year warranty on my new mattress will expire in two years. Third, i was told if I'm not happy with the new mattress, too bad. There are no exchanges or returns on mattresses purchased with a warranty credit. So looks like I'm stuck with a brick of a mattress that is nothing like the comfy one i tried in the store. Caveat emptor.

I was all over the place... in the middle of trying to sign a lease while hoping and praying that it would all get wrapped up in the next few hours so I could move on with my life. My new digs were about to be completely empty, but I didn't care... as long as I got a mattress to sleep on ASAP. For the last several years, I have been sleeping on one of the most top-of-the-line Tempurpedic mattresses (aka the Maserati of mattresses). Was I happy that I would need to downgrade? Not really. But I let Miguel know my story/what I was looking for and I asked for his expert advice. I was a little nervous that I was going to have to deal with an afternoon of used car salesman-like tactics, but it never felt that way. I'm quite a blunt and straightforward person, and I do not enjoy it when salespeople try to rip me off. I wasn't in the mood for that, and thankfully, I didn't get that. Once Miguel knew exactly what I wanted, he recommended a few different mattresses. I tried them all, and of course, I preferred the most expensive of the ones he proposed, but I am not going to skimp too much on a mattress. My health is my number one priority in life. Fortunately, I've never had back issues, and I'm not about to start now. I'd rather spend a bit more on a mattress to save me from the money I might have to spend at a doctor or chiropractor. I settled on the Queen Serta iSeries® 2.0 Hybrid 1000 12" Medium Mattress. To be honest, it didn't feel like much of a downgrade from the ultra-expensive Tempurpedic situation I was used to sleeping on. It was also a fraction of the price. Thankfully, there was an Early Black Friday Sale going on, so it was significantly less painful than the full price. Also, it was going to arrive on Sunday, which meant I would only have to spend two nights sleeping on a dreaded air mattress. After paying for the mattress and chatting a bit with Miguel (he's so kind and friendly!), I was on my way to buy an air mattress. Fast forward two days later, as a person who never deals with back pain, I had a bit of it in my lower back thanks to the cheap air mattress. When Sunday arrived, I couldn't wait to get my new bed. The delivery process was super smooth and the gentlemen who delivered it were very nice. They were quick to move the bed in and set up the standard adjustable base that came with it. I've now been sleeping on the bed for 5 nights and I absolutely love it! My back feels fine and I wake up very well-rested. I've come to the conclusion that if you have a ton of disposable income and want a bed that costs as much as a car, go for it! But, if you're being more economical and want a mid-range priced mattress, it's not going to ruin your life. I highly recommend this location of Mattress Firm, and if you're looking for honesty and great customer service, seek out Miguel. He'll help you find exactly what you need!

My issue is that they started their pitch with the high priced black series without asking us our budget. Fine, but then we get to the nitty gritty of the BF sale with the free adjustable base. The sales rep then leveled with us that the base mode "was crap" and that he would quote us with the upgraded model which added substantially to the price. The crappy base model was just a bait and switch to get us into the store. Then he did the whole "this price is only good right now" which was followed by his offer to call another store to price match. Bottom feeder sales tactics on display! We walked out and got something comparable at another local store for $1300 less, aka a real BF deal.

I was recommended one of the luxury mattresses at Austin Natural Mattress by my sleep doctor. I can't speak highly enough about their staff and selection. In addition to the top shelf selection of mattresses, their sales staff is awesome. No pestering or cheesy sales gimmicks. Each of the sales people I talked to had worked there for a decade +. Hollis and Charles were both a huge help. The mattress I bought had a 25 year warranty and a 100 night trial, which tells me all I need to know about the confidence they have in their product.

First, I arrived at the Allandale location to test the "Moksha" mattress. I didn't think to call first, because the Austin Natural Mattress website states clearly: "The Moksha is shown in all Austin Natural Mattress & Houston Natural Mattress locations, if you wish to come in and try it out first." So I was surprised to learn not only that they didn't have that mattress, but that they didn't stock it because it "isn't popular." I asked what was wrong with it, and the guy replied, "Nothing. It just isn't popular." That's interesting because, as a $ 1,300 (in queen size) mattress, it's really at the bottom end of the range of mattresses they sell. I'm not sure if price is a factor in their decision not to stock it, but at the very least, they should update their website. The salesman spoke really quickly, perhaps because he was trying to handle another couple who were in the process of purchasing a mattress. Indeed, even as they sat across from him and he typed on his keyboard, he was offering to answer my questions. No matter, because what I overheard was really concerning: he was offering the couple a $75 credit if they posted a Google review. Now, he wasn't telling them what to write, but the $75 credit was preceded by offers of small price reductions on various items, which surely put them in the mood to write a good review. While I think it's okay to ask customers to write a review, offering them a credit on the condition that they write a review (this is verified by QR code) seems unethical. I left the place feeling that I wanted to take my business elsewhere.

My Fiancee and I arrived from out of state a week prior, and our friends who moved out to Austin area a year prior, told us to go to this place. We met Tamara at the door, on a Sunday, as soon as they opened. Another couple came in at same time we did. She did a GREAT job handling both of us. (* I used to work retail, and know it is hard to juggle more then one customer, especially if only one on floor) She helped us, and other couple with a smile, and talked to us, like we have known her for awhile. She did sound like some sales people, where you can tell, they have said this same speech or descriptions of items a hundred times. LOL. She was very pleasant, and answered all of our questions. We went in, not thinking we were going to buy that day. But, on the third bed we tried, we fell in love with the Camellia King....OMG...so plush....and so comfortable! We like it mid-firm, and not feel like sinking, but not stiff, and this was PERFECT! We ordered the bed that day, and got it delivered about a week and half later (*we had brought a Queen bed with us from other state, but heard they provide a loaner if needed). The delivery guys called, and said they were going to be early (again, a first for items being delivered). They came in, set up frame, box spring, and bed (up a flight of stairs, and bed is heavy), quickly and efficiently ! They were in and out under an hour! I would recommend this place to anybody that is looking to have a great sales experience (no pressure), and find a great mattress and great service all around!

Surprisingly, the Austin signs are quite affordable. I asked Shawn one of the store managers, what do folks do with all these signs. He responded by saying the put them in their homes and businesses. One of the eye-catching items in the addition to the signage, are the abstract and unusual artwork covered in shiny glass. I love abstract anything, therefore, I was very intrigued.
