The associate that was "helping" us was just following us the whole time, even after telling her we were just looking and would find her if we needed help. I'm posting this because I would like the company to address what happened publicly and provide a resolution. Yesterday, I worked with sales representative Camilla Dias, who spoke with manager Chris Wilson regarding the furniture I wanted to purchase. I was initially quoted $505 for the bed frame and $650 for the entertainment center. Today, I proceeded with the purchase after the bed frame was increased and price-matched at $999. I completed the transaction for a total of $1,709.27, signed the associated paperwork and bill of sale, and understood that the purchase was finalized. A couple of hours later, I was contacted and told that my purchase had been cancelled because management would not honor the price. I was then quoted approximately $1,250 for the bed frame and $1,350 for the entertainment center -- significantly more than what I had already agreed to and purchased them for. As a customer, I should not have to wonder whether a completed transaction will be honored after I have signed the paperwork and paid the agreed amount. I am asking Mega Furniture and corporate management to please review this transaction and respond publicly. I have screenshots of the receipts and documentation supporting what I have described. She was SO patient with me, listened and understood everything I was looking for, and knew the perfect pieces to show me. We ordered a chair and couch that reclined and when it was delivered, we realized it would not fit, plus it did not recline on one side. The manual recline was broken, and on the chair, it was almost impossible to close it up again. We contacted this store and they promised to allow us to exchange the furniture for a slightly smaller set and one that had automatic reclining feature for another charge. They missed their deliver date of the first week of April, then the second week, and the third. We have continually contacted them, even offering a restocking fee of 40% and an extra delivery fee. No delivery again. 2 more weeks. They have lied for 8 weeks and taken advantaged of our goodwill. After having to come into the store 5 times and 3 missed delivery dates I had no choice but to drive to their warehouse to pick up the eraser since bed wasn't in stock even tho they said it was. I get home unpack it and realize it's the wrong one and it's damaged. And still paying for a bed that hasn't been delivered. I'd give zero stars if I could. We took a chance on this furniture shop in Southpark Meadows when looking for a couch for our new home. The purchase process was fine but there was a lot of confusion surrounding the delivery date because we were not moving in. They eventually got that part worked. The real problem started at delivery. We purchased a $5000 custom couch which arrived broken. The broken part was not pointed out to me but I soon discovered when sitting on it (the corner piece had a totally broken board and torn fabric). In addition to the couch being broken they made scratches and grooves in the door of our brand new home by forcing it through. I have called many many times like probably 20 trying to get a resolution. I finally after a month of calling got them to agree to repair it but they were going to pick up part of my couch and take it back to their warehouse putting me out of my couch for their error. They should have just sent me a replacement piece! When they finally picked it up they told me it would be a couple days. It took over a month. I called probably 6 times requesting an update to which I'm told they will check and call me back but no one ever called back. No one has addressed how they will compensate us for our damaged door. We didn't have part of our couch for our housewarming party. Finally it was returned and as pictured the repair was poorly done. This was a custom couch. I was again bounced around, told they were contacting the manufacturer and nothing. Finally, I wrote with a proposition of a refund of 20% of the cost and the delivery charge (completely reasonable per industry standards for a damaged item) to which they told me the repair was complete and they were closing my claim. I was later told the couch was returned to me in good condition. I'm writing this review to warn you and in hopes someone at the company will see this and make things right. Sales staff was wonderful, but after the sale, customer service becomes non existence. Our table needed to be fixed, and the bench replaced. They originally said they would be out on a particular day, and failed to show. I only determined this when I contacted them. BUYERS BEWARE- I bought a sectional and ottoman from this company last year and they also recommended a cleaning / insurance add on incase my dogs or children soiled the light colored fabric ect. I bought it at about $650! I am very disappointed with Mega Furniture. My husband and I went in with the intention of purchasing a sectional couch. We loved their selection. We purchased what we fell in love with. Delivered within timely manner, this is when nightmare began. One console was not delivered and the one that was delivered was so disgusting, obviously used. It was dirty had animal and human hair and obvious wear and tear of the leather. Took photos and called Mega Furniture. Spoke to customer service in San Antonio. Correspondence was with Brenda, very cordial, however it must be a speech she is accustomed to. I was told the consoles were ordered and would take approximately 6 weeks for delivery. It took almost three months for the replaced console and delivery of the supposedly new console. Well, guess what, the new console had broken pieces. Once again, we've called and called it's been 11 months and NO replacement. Mega Furniture had the audacity to call us about a great sale. NEVER again. Still trying to get our console replaced. Mr. Karim, I truly wish you have had communicated with me either directly or through one of your employees,  instead you made a few notes on my account and didn't let the most important person in your company know what was going on "me" "the customer". So maybe you'll find some scratch and dent on the floor that you can pay for and walk out with. That would likely work out OK for you. I hesitated posting a review on this place because I absolutely love the dresser that I purchased from Mega Furniture. That being said everything outside of the actual piece of furniture is not worth dealing with. I'm pretty sure you can get the same furniture somewhere else. My mother and I made purchases from this store at the same time around mid July 2020. Neither one of us received the actual furniture until months later. My dresser arrived with a broken bottom drawer. I called the store at least 10 times to request someone come out and fix it. Never received a follow up call or email, nothing. They gave me the run around each time, saying they would have the service department call me. I absolutely love the dresser but, the bottom drawer is still broken. The customer service at this place is absolutely appalling and now that I am shopping for a new dining table it reminded me of what I don't want in a furniture store. read more
