Best cold sub I've had

20/10 top tier bread! I stopped by for lunch during work, got a cold sub with turkey, Swiss, tomatoes, lettuce, and jalapeños. The bread was amazing! Service was quick and wonderful, but I do have to note there are no seats or tables... don't care tho, I'll happily stand all day for that sandwich. Stop byyyy! Trust me!

This bakery has been on my list of things to try but I have to get out extra early before work to make it here. They were super friendly and I was so happy to get a taste of all they had. I ended up with a loaf of country sourdough, great and crusty. Very good when grilled in a skillet with butter. Also got a chocolate croissant - it was good but I wanted the chocolate to be piped in. It seemed to be spread onto the croissant then heated. The breakfast biscuit with sausage and egg was really good. I also got their glazed donut, good but not too sweet. They gave me a complimentary donut with cream. It didn't have enough cream for my taste but I appreciated it. Overall I will go back for the fresh baked bread.

Bakery showcase with delish treats !

The food is amazing here ! Customer service is top tier! Just moved to the area and passed by and had to stop. They have amazing hot soups and our sandwiches were out of this world !

Blueberry danish, Bavarian cream filled chocolate donut, cinnamon roll with orange vanilla icing, and a walnut cranberry roll.

Stopped by on a whim--had no intention of buying anything, just wanted to check it out. The lady behind the counter offered me a whole slice of cranberry walnut bread as a sample. It was absolutely delicious, so of course I bought a loaf... and a danish. Both were promptly devoured. I went back again, debating between a cinnamon roll or another danish. The gentleman at the counter gave me both for the price of one--and even tossed in two extra breads. I was genuinely surprised and deeply appreciative. These folks are the real deal. They've earned every single five-star review on Yelp. 10/10--highly recommend for the fresh-baked bread, but even more for the kindness of the owners.

The Boudin kolache is pretty good as it tastes less gamey than other versions (famous and small shops) and has a lot of rice and meat. The bread is chewy and similar to sourdough in taste and texture. Focaccia slice (vegetable) has a thin slice of tomato, sliced onions and mushrooms. It kind of tastes like a supreme pizza. The cherry and cream cheese danish has a thick and slightly tart flavor. The ham and cheese croissant is pretty good. The white cheese, fried egg and thin slices of slightly salty ham make a satisfying combo. They have a small bacon, sausage, egg, and cheese burger, which is way better than what you get at the normal fast food places. They don't have typical jam but were willing to give me a small container of one of the fillings at no cost. The raspberry filling has a similar thick consistency of the cherry with a more berry flavor. There seems to be only one man working the front, but the others may step in if the line gets backed up. I would say the customers are a little grumpy because a 5-8 minutes wait seemed too long for them.

Delicious almond bread and 4 dozens of donuts.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this bakery, but more than anything, the wonderful people who run it. I needed 4 dozen donuts at the last minute, when they were about to close, and they were so kind and accommodating. The donuts were freshly baked and ready; the water polo kids devoured them and said they were the best donuts they've had. I've tried their pumpernickel, almond, jalapeño, and rye loaves, and they have all been delicious. This bakery is a true old-world bakery, not many are left like this one, especially with the superb service. The location is great, and parking is plentiful. If you are looking for homemade bread or pastries, you gotta try this place.

There's no other place in Houston that compares to this hidden gem. I've been on the hunt for a top-notch bakery, and I recently stumbled upon this gallery right under my nose. Having worked in the gallery district near Woodway, I can confidently say there's no bakery nearby that offers anything close to what you'll find here. I tried the Country Sourdough bread, which is wonderfully soft, along with some delicious kolaches. I was treated and indulged in a jelly-filled donut (either cherry or raspberry) that wasn't overly sweet, which I really appreciated. It was incredibly fluffy and flavorful. From now on, this will be my go-to spot for baked goods. They offer an impressive variety of breads that's too extensive to list!

French toast that is to die for.

I keep coming back to this bakery not only because I love the items I already buy but because they keep adding new items and they get better and better. The owner is the sweetest man as well. They are growing so you can place an order on advance as well. Happy eating.

Long over due for this review.. had a wonderful experience not only trying a variety of breads and sweets but meeting the owners. I would come back regardless of their kindness, but getting to know them made the experience just that much better. It's a small place, but what they manage to do there is incredible. Highly recommend

The focaccia bread is absolutely amazing. So flavorful and light and airy! I will definitely be back.

I believe the first time I came here. I had some breakfast tacos and an iced latte which I did really enjoy. Today I went, and I had a chorizo empanada, a Horchata doughnut, and the Neapolitan latte. The empanada was nice and hot, I do wish it was a little more flavorful but next time I'll probably just add some hot sauce or something. The inside looks really cozy however I didn't stay and eat there since I had my pets in the car. The Horchata doughnut was interesting, was not what I was expecting, but didn't hate it. The Neapolitan latte taste like dessert, was definitely on the sweeter side which the cashier had warned me of. But overall, I really enjoyed it. I do love that they use Bendy straws, it's one of the only coffee shops I've been to that has consistently used them lol.

Yeah there is el bollilo, mi tienda and hacienda bakery but this one caught my eye when going throughly insta. Let me tell you the bread was soooo good and the decor was super nice. It even had nanches which aren't my fave but my families so that was a very nice surprise. Had guava pieces as the jewels of the kings and candied oranges. Normally I avoid rosca because the bread as I mention is dry or too hard but this one was very good, I'm guessing it's the same dough as their donuts and I would take it! I called and asked if there were any and the lady was like I hear how overwhelm you are so I'll just set aside this one on display. Papa blesssss! Found my new go to spot for rosca! I hope in the future they have different flavors or even preorders because I def would place one.

Updating my review to stay up with the times…read more I've been on a health kick lately so I rarely splurge on donuts -- or desserts for that matter. Still, I bring my son to Robin's on a regular basis. It's sort of become our place. My son loves everything he tries here and often asks for more -- whether kolaches or donuts. And me? Well, I can't help but cave on the Mardi Gras donuts. They are sooooo good. I had one last week - and another today. It makes me wish that Mardi Gras was year round. When we are in the shop, I see the same faces. It speaks volumes when you see the same regulars coming in. Peeps know what they like! Yes, the place gets busy. And sometimes you have to wait. That's actually a small price to pay for amazing delectables. If you haven't been - stop by! Robin, Brandon, Kayla, and Hung will take great care of you -- and you'll leave both full and with a smile on your face!!

The young man behind the counter was super sweet and helpful in helping me make my decision. There were just too many options for me to make up my mind. I decided to order an iced coffee to compliment my Donuts, and I was told this was one of their most popular drinks, I see why, it was creamy sweet and delicious. Next time I'm in the area, I will be stopping by snowflake Donuts and try something else, who knows maybe I'll even have a seat at one of their tables next time to just relax and enjoy.

In fact, when friends visit from out of town I'm going to take them to this (and only this) location to experience Shipley in its best form. When I tell you, all the I's are dotted and the t's are crossed at this location I mean it! I truly wouldn't be surprised if they trained new franchise owners at this very location because pretty much everything is elevated or on point. Pup in tow I chose the drive-thru. Pulling up to the order speaker I was greeted with an automated we'll be with you shortly message. After placing and receiving my order I opened the box and nearly audibly gasped. I've ordered one too many Shipleys Bullseyes in my day, but I've yet to see one that looked this perfect. The middle seemed piped. I also ordered two cake donuts, a buttermilk for now and blueberry for later. Both were delightful! The slight language barrier at the receiving window had me a bit worried, but this spot delivered. I'll be back on my next cheat day!
