Bakery showcase with delish treats !

The food is amazing here ! Customer service is top tier! Just moved to the area and passed by and had to stop. They have amazing hot soups and our sandwiches were out of this world !

This bakery has been on my list of things to try but I have to get out extra early before work to make it here. They were super friendly and I was so happy to get a taste of all they had. I ended up with a loaf of country sourdough, great and crusty. Very good when grilled in a skillet with butter. Also got a chocolate croissant - it was good but I wanted the chocolate to be piped in. It seemed to be spread onto the croissant then heated. The breakfast biscuit with sausage and egg was really good. I also got their glazed donut, good but not too sweet. They gave me a complimentary donut with cream. It didn't have enough cream for my taste but I appreciated it. Overall I will go back for the fresh baked bread.

Blueberry danish, Bavarian cream filled chocolate donut, cinnamon roll with orange vanilla icing, and a walnut cranberry roll.

Stopped by on a whim--had no intention of buying anything, just wanted to check it out. The lady behind the counter offered me a whole slice of cranberry walnut bread as a sample. It was absolutely delicious, so of course I bought a loaf... and a danish. Both were promptly devoured. I went back again, debating between a cinnamon roll or another danish. The gentleman at the counter gave me both for the price of one--and even tossed in two extra breads. I was genuinely surprised and deeply appreciative. These folks are the real deal. They've earned every single five-star review on Yelp. 10/10--highly recommend for the fresh-baked bread, but even more for the kindness of the owners.

Delicious almond bread and 4 dozens of donuts.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this bakery, but more than anything, the wonderful people who run it. I needed 4 dozen donuts at the last minute, when they were about to close, and they were so kind and accommodating. The donuts were freshly baked and ready; the water polo kids devoured them and said they were the best donuts they've had. I've tried their pumpernickel, almond, jalapeño, and rye loaves, and they have all been delicious. This bakery is a true old-world bakery, not many are left like this one, especially with the superb service. The location is great, and parking is plentiful. If you are looking for homemade bread or pastries, you gotta try this place.

The Boudin kolache is pretty good as it tastes less gamey than other versions (famous and small shops) and has a lot of rice and meat. The bread is chewy and similar to sourdough in taste and texture. Focaccia slice (vegetable) has a thin slice of tomato, sliced onions and mushrooms. It kind of tastes like a supreme pizza. The cherry and cream cheese danish has a thick and slightly tart flavor. The ham and cheese croissant is pretty good. The white cheese, fried egg and thin slices of slightly salty ham make a satisfying combo. They have a small bacon, sausage, egg, and cheese burger, which is way better than what you get at the normal fast food places. They don't have typical jam but were willing to give me a small container of one of the fillings at no cost. The raspberry filling has a similar thick consistency of the cherry with a more berry flavor. There seems to be only one man working the front, but the others may step in if the line gets backed up. I would say the customers are a little grumpy because a 5-8 minutes wait seemed too long for them.

    Donut with filling, Delicious

There's no other place in Houston that compares to this hidden gem. I've been on the hunt for a top-notch bakery, and I recently stumbled upon this gallery right under my nose. Having worked in the gallery district near Woodway, I can confidently say there's no bakery nearby that offers anything close to what you'll find here. I tried the Country Sourdough bread, which is wonderfully soft, along with some delicious kolaches. I was treated and indulged in a jelly-filled donut (either cherry or raspberry) that wasn't overly sweet, which I really appreciated. It was incredibly fluffy and flavorful. From now on, this will be my go-to spot for baked goods. They offer an impressive variety of breads that's too extensive to list!

French toast that is to die for.

I keep coming back to this bakery not only because I love the items I already buy but because they keep adding new items and they get better and better. The owner is the sweetest man as well. They are growing so you can place an order on advance as well. Happy eating.

Long over due for this review.. had a wonderful experience not only trying a variety of breads and sweets but meeting the owners. I would come back regardless of their kindness, but getting to know them made the experience just that much better. It's a small place, but what they manage to do there is incredible. Highly recommend

The focaccia bread is absolutely amazing. So flavorful and light and airy! I will definitely be back.

Inside you will also find French pastries, coffees and teas, gelato, milkshakes, sandwiches and macaroons. I felt the most interesting items were the French pastries as they are cute and tasty as well. Also, they plate the pastries nicely when you dine in as an added bonus. I tried the Chocolate Royale and the Ruby. Chocolate Royale - a petit chocolate mouse slice with flat chocolate panels along the sides. It is delicate and tasty. If you're a chocolate lover, this is definitely up your alley. Ruby - visually this looks like a strawberry Hershey kiss, with red powder on the exterior and a top piece of foil to resemble foil on the wrapper of a hershey kiss. Inside, it's filled with a strawberry cream and has a chocolate base. I just wish there was more chocolate in this one. They have plenty of seating inside as well as along the sidewalk. Inside you have the more fancy tables, whereas outside, they're more weather resistant and not as upscale in appearance. The soft drinks to drink along with your sweets are in a cold case along the hotel side of the space and you just take them to the register as you order. One of the most surprising things when you come here are the relatively affordable prices as you might expect them to be more for being a coffee shop attached to a 5-star hotel with a helipad.

What's nudged this place up to 5 stars for me is they have really improved their coffee game, specifically their quality of cappuccino's. Previously it seemed more of latte, but now to me its a legit Capp. Their choice of pastries hasn't changed, which gives you a good assortment of choices and they have added an additional barista or server which also is a nice touch for service. The only niggling items, parking can be tough, so you'll have to either walk a block or be quick to find a place close by. Regardless, definitely give this place a go to come for a pastry and coffee.

I also heard great things about the mango mochi so we couldn't leave without those. Thankfully they still had some in stock. I heard they sell out quickly especially on weekends. Those also lived up to its hype. SO YUMMY! Tastes so fresh including the mangoes. My kiddo who LOVES mango anything loved them so much! My husband also got 2 savory pastries (I forgot what they were called and I forgot to take a picture) and those were yummy too. Perfectly flakey crust just like the egg tarts. We wanted to get sesame balls but they were sold out. Customer service was great. The guy that took our order was very nice. It was pretty busy but he moved through the line quickly. There's some seating inside if you want to eat there. Prices are very reasonable at $2 each for the mochi and egg tarts. The savory pastries were $3. It's located in a shared lot/area. Parking can be tight and limited on a busy weekend day but they have parking right out front for the Eck bakery customers. Also note that if you pay with card it's a 2.5% charge so cash is better if you have it. We didn't but we know now for future. We had a great experience here and will definitely be back.
