We love Arize; we've been several times and our food is always hot, fresh, and tasty! And I personally think it's a good bang for your buck - considering the portions and quality! I've tried the peach cobbler fence toast, the catfish and crust, and the chicken and waffles, and I must say they were all delicious! My husband has gotten the shrimp and grits on 3/4 of our visit but this time he tried the "Spice up ya life" omelette and he said it was amazing - it also smelled great if I might add. My son usually gets the sweet potato pancake with an order of chicken sausage. And the pancake is fluffy and moist every time. Went to Arize for breakfast while in Atlanta for the day. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a warm smile and good morning by the staff and could smell the fragrant aroma of a rich coffee blend.. and that's what I started with a nice cup. No sugar and black like my women. My breakfast date ordered a light crispy waffle served with a cognac sauce.. I dipped my fork in the sauce and could taste the booziness of the sauce. I don't do the Gluten so went with spicy chicken sausage and eggs scrambled soft with cheese.. it was perfect. 3 cups of coffee later went to the restroom and noticed the quotes on the wall. Honestly at a loss for words at how disgusted I am at the service or lack there of! The wait was unnecessarily long and my order was given to someone else. The person brought it back (after taking a few bites out of it) saying that it wasn't what he ordered, and from a short distance away I could see that it was my order! So I watched them to see how they were going to handle the situation because clearly they had to remake my order because not only was it already handed over the counter, but it was eaten! Do you know they took the food to the back, came back with it retied and gave me that same plate? I told the girl at the front, "Youre really gonna give me this plate?? After this man just ate out of it and brought it back??" All she did was look at me because she knew what she did and didn't expect me to see what was going on. I really wanted to like this place! I love supporting smaller business, but I won't be retuning. I was in town for a friend's birthday celebration. We were staying in a local airbnb home and tried this place out. I ordered online (for 8 of us) for pickup. Before I got there to pickup, they called to let us know they were out of one item on our list. This was courteous - we were able to replace that order before getting there. Normally this would help to shorten the wait time... When we got there I was told that we were still waiting on one item. Looking at the prepared food, we were missing about 5 items and most were main entrees. We also weren't offered any condiments for all of the food we ordered. I'm patient, but I was disappointed. We ordered a number of things (eggs, omelette, shrimp n grits, potatoes, fruit, French toast, biscuits, etc.) We ordered two orders of "fresh fruit" for $3 each. The first turned out to be a room temperature 10 blueberries and two strawberries! The second was the same with the addition of two pieces of pineapple. Not quite sure why they weren't the same. I ordered the vegetable omelette and French toast. The French toast was hard and basically a French baguette with sweetness. Very bland. No toppings. The omelette was okay...until I got a huge egg shell. If it were small I might've ignored it, but it was about the size of a quarter! I couldn't finish it. My friends said the shrimp n grits and fish n grits were good, so I guess there are a few gems on the menu. My hopes are that they can improve a bit so they aren't shut down by new neighbors with better quality. read more

Small spot with really good food and portion sizes. The brunch is what I had and I love the fact that they had vegetarian and non pork meat options for the breakfast platter I got. I found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a chance. It is small and the decor a bit plain. However, the staff is super friendly. We had to wait about five minutes for a table at 9:00am on a Friday. The server was also prompt and had our drinks quickly. The coffee and ice tea were strong!! We ordered chicken and waffles and they are very tasty we were offered the opportunity to taste a new dish (berry crapes) OMG they are amazing!!! They looked great, they tasted even better. This dish is a must even if you just get one to share as a breakfast dessert among the table. As we left we got a number of goodbyes. I just love southern hospitality. If I get back to Atlanta anytime soon I will definitely make this a stop. read more

I think that a simple breakfast shouldn't be more than the state minimum wage $7.25 / hour. Next time I am here I am going to try more of their specialty items-- such as the grits (shrimp or fish). Another thing I would upgrade is the "catch of the day" Catfish is really not a catch of the day but rather what I caught in the backyard. What a huge mistake in coming here for breakfast. My family of 4 was promptly seated at our table. The waitress was friendly and took our drink orders in a timely manner. After allowing us a few minutes to not just look over our menu, but also to ask questions regarding the menu she gave a few suggestions on what is popular and thought we would like as well. Two of us ordered the banging pancakes (3) that came with a side of bacon and choice of eggs. One person ordered the Cajun shrimp and grits. Our last dish was the salmon croquet, that was recommended by the waitress. The Cajun shrimp and grits was good. However, the pancakes were dry and hard. The bacon was burnt and the eggs, just yuck! The salmon croquet was gross!!! It was salty and I kept biting on something crunchy as I took the crunchy stuff out of my mouth I looked at it and it was the actual spine of the fish!! I called the waitress over and she looked just as surprised and immediately took my plate away before I could take pictures! She showed the guy who appeared to be the owner and he just whisk her to the kitchen. Then out came the bill. And yes they charged me for the croquet. Had about a 25 minute wait upon arrival which wasn't too bad for it being Father's Day. They use a texting service to let you know when a table is ready, I hope a lot more places begin offering this as well. We ordered the peach cobbler french toast, breakfast tacos with potatoes, and for our beverages tea because it was pretty cold in the restaurant. The french toast is amazing!!!! Highly recommend. The breakfast tacos were good but needed some type of sauce so I added some of their hot sauce which kicked up the tacos a pleasant notch. Potatoes were good as well. Arrived waaaaay to early to the airport and was starving so we looked for a place to find breakfast. It was Labor Day so I called to see if they were open. A bubbly woman answered the phone and told us to come on in. The same woman, who I now assume was the owner, greeted us and showed us to our table. The entire menu looks amazing. Finally a breakfast cafe in the Camp Creek area. I came in this morning and the servers were pleasant and attentive. My server told me they really opened this past Wednesday with full-time hours. I walked in at 9:55; placed my to go order at 10:01; walked out at 10:17. My order: the Arize Sunrise Breakfast (country potatoes, scrambled eggs, and bacon); no bread because of my Gluten Allergy. The country potatoes were a little salty and slightly over cooked, but everything else was pretty good. There were three other tables of customers and their servers were quick and very helpful. Pros: Menu provides variety including turkey based protein Food is cooked to order Service is very pleasant Food was good Location is convenient Cons: I can only speculate that parking and traffic might be a challenge during lunch hours.
