I hate having to write bad reviews for small businesses but once you've been there multiple times and had the same experience each time. We came it wasn't busy yet took 10 minutes to get a table. We ordered right away but it took about 20 mins to get our food and it was cold . A guy who seemed to be a manger had it redone but nobody ever came back. Table next to us had the same issue. We had to ask for silverware, drinks and napkins repeatedly. My daughter's whole meal never even came out. To make matters worse we sat for another 23 minutes waiting for the check while the entire staff dealt with a large party. Not all food options are available and parking near the building is non existent! I hope this place can make a turn for the better. read more

I was looking for a cool spot for breakfast. Yelp lists Arize (arise) as new and hot. The first thing I want to mention is the coffee. The coffee is not your typical weak, flavorless restaurant coffee. It is on par with some of the mild brands available in in coffee shops. We tried the shrimp and grits and the peach cognac French toast. Both dishes were worthy of seconds. The menu is so full of great choices and Tanisha and Aisha were very helpful. The food was delicious. We were actually across the parking lot at the Japanese restaurant when I spotted Arize and wanted fish and grits. We left the Japanese restaurant and I'm glad we did! The service was amazing and the food was on point. My sister and her friend had the Cajun shrimp and grits. I had the catfish and grits along with a blueberry pancake. The fish was hot, fresh and crispy and the grits were cheesy, creamy and plentiful. Being a northern gal I'm not a big fan of grits but these were a keeper. My fish came out later than the rest of the food but my server and the manager kept me informed. It didn't matter because I was busy eating the blueberry pancake which was delectable! I don't usually eat a whole pancake but I polished this one off and wanted a second. I don't live close to the airport but travel often so this will be added to my queue as there are a few more items I want to try and I know the grandkids will love the waffles I saw being served! read more

I unfortunately, but not really unfortunately, order from here a lot (I say unfortunately because they take all my money). The breakfast here is actually super fresh and tastes amazing! You can tell I'm slightly obsessed because while I live is only about.... only 5 minutes from here & I've only order via Uber eats ..... yes judge me (because it's that worth it). I visited Atlanta for the first time a few weeks ago...just an overnight trip to photograph a surprise proposal for my sister. On the way back to the airport for my flight out, we were looking for a place to have coffee and maybe a bite. We accidentally stumbled upon Arize, and I'm so glad we did! This place definitely qualifies as a hole-in-the-wall joint, which I love. There's only about 10 tables, and it was very busy. The waiter was a bit frazzled but nice, and we ordered coffee and selected our food. I got the Cajun Shrimp and Grits, my sister ordered the Jerk Omelette, and her fiancé went with the Coconut Blueberry Oatmeal. It took quite a while to get our food, and we were pushing the timeframe for my flight, so I was getting a bit nervous. But sticking around was worth it. As a MN girl, I've only had grits one other time, and they were BAD. But I figured if I was ever going to order grits, Atlanta seemed like the place to do it. They were perfectly creamy, and the peppers, shrimp, and sausage were fresh and bright. I would've like some more spice for sure, but that's just me. My sister's omelette was awesome, and even the oatmeal was super rich and silky. Just really. Good. Food. Just a word of warning, they only take cash or CashApp. But don't let that deter you. I really WANTED to give them a high score but 2 incomplete orders in 2 visits doesn't equal "mistake", it equals INEFFICIENT. First-order- via Uber on a Sunday. I called after the order was placed online to specify how I wanted the food cooked, the woman (who answers the phone) has no idea and says she can't find my order. I explain that Uber has charged for it and has it in the app, IM LOOKING AT IT SAY it's BEING PREPARED. After 6mins of this, finally, she says, "Oh I see it". She takes my request and hangs up. Food comes, really good in taste but missing potatoes AND eggs. I never reported it to Uber as we didn't need a full refund, but I kept the receipt. Second-order- because I see how they messed up on Uber I opted for a pickup that way there could be no error. While there I reference the receipts and the missing items from the order, the woman remembered my order, apologies, and offered a discount on our next order. My fiance was through with them and said NO THANKS to every returning but I took the receipt for a rainy day. About 1 month or so later, I decide to redeem my coupon and call in an order in as a pick-up order, explain I have a coupon, (plainly written and signed on the former receipt but the last employee). The girl places the order. But when I go to pick it up I notice there is no discount amount taken off. I bring it to the girl's attention who says she now needs to get the manager, even though when I called she said: "I am the manager". Hmmm... the "manager" for the moment looks at the receipt and says well that person is no longer here so it's not valid. At this time Im PISSED and irritated that they have wasted my time by even having me wait on an order that I clearly explained over the phone. I decided to just that wait until I get some better explanation as to why a coupon given by THEIR "authorized employee" at the time is now, not honored. The manager says "we can give her a free drink but that's about all we can do". I asked the lady why the former employee was not longer with them, she stated " she was stealing, so they let her go", naturally my response as "clearly we see WHY the orders were always messed up". I told them to cancel the whole thing and refund my money paid thus far, the girl said "I'll just pay out of my own pocket ma'am". This was absurd and sad a the same time. So glad we decided to try this place while we were in town. My family had the pancakes, build your own omelet and a traditional breakfast. Honestly, the pancakes and omelette were great and I can personally say the grits were the BEST I have ever had. The staff were very friendly and took great care of us. Looking for a place to have breakfast I ran across this restaurant in a little corner here in Campcreek, GA. First impressions were not that impressive, I didn't get that warm cozy" "you're welcome" vibe that I think every establishment should display. I have always believed that first expressions should be the foundation on which any company should stand on. As a consumer how you greet me as a valued guess often determine my decision to return and sets the tone for my dining experience while there. This wasn't Arize's finest hour, but to be fair things did pic up and I felt better by the time I left. My meal turned out ok (catfish and grits) I didn't particularly like the grits. I wasn't sure if I was eating grits, my absolute favorite thing to eat, felt more like a wheat product then grits but very flavorful none the less. Maybe it's the lack of background music, the poor decor, or the fact that there was literally no one else there. I've ordered delivery from here twice. The catfish and grits are good. You only get one piece of catfish, but it's a big piece, and seasoned well. The salmon croquettes are too salty. They were inedible. Service wise, there are a couple of issues. Ordering through an app, there's no option to modify your order. So I called in as soon as I placed the order to ask them for no peppers. The gentleman who picked up the phone, told me the kitchen was already working on the order, and that it was too late. When I pressed that it had only been literally 30 seconds, and suggested he ask the kitchen, then he did. His demeanor was as if I was disturbing his day. I won't order from there again. Today is May 3, the state is slowly reopening from shelter in place. We decided to get some breakfast It is take out only, I was flabbergasted by what I saw in these containers. The first order: Arize Breakfast with soft scrambled cheese eggs with pork sausage potatoes and toast....When I tell y'all it was 1 scrambled egg 10 cut up potato squares 2 overcooked patties and a strip of toast not a full piece of bread. The second meal was a customize omelette : onions, bell peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms, spinach, sausage, bacon and cheddar cheese. My husband & I ordered the Arize Breakfast & French Toast for delivery. In our breakfast we had grits with cheese, scrambled eggs with cheese & turkey sausage. Everything was seasoned well but the grits had a sweet undertone we didn't like, like maybe it was sweetened with a bit of sugar or cinnamon or something. It also had a weird texture, like kind of mushy & chalky. Blech. The eggs were ok & the turkey was fine. Very small portions. A delicious breakfast is just what we needed and received at Arize after our early morning flight. Hubby and I got the fried catfish and grits. Baby girl got the chicken and waffles. Grits were slow cooked, creamy, and well seasoned (I hate bland grits ) and delicious. Catfish had a crispy exterior and tender flaky interior. The two together were excellent! Baby girl cleaned her plate and dug into half of my catfish. Her first venture into catfish and she loved it. Our server was very pleasant and helpful with menu selections. Prices were very reasonable. We will be returning to try the oxtail and salt fish with dumplings... and of course breakfast again My only complaint is the road construction made it extremely difficult to get back to the main roads (I mean 20 minutes at least). But that's not the establishment's issue and will not stop us from returning. Add Arize to your Yelp must try list. You won't regret it. read more

The decor is nice gives you a real warm city feeling. I ordered the catfish and grits which was a price of $10.95 and worth every penny. I don't know where to start with this place. I've been coming for the past at least three years and for one, the staff makes you feel like you're at home. It's better than a "Cheers" experience. They remember me when I come in, ask me if I want my regular tea, and are quick to sit me down for excellent service. The food is amazing and it is awesome to see that they survived this pandemic. The owner makes his rounds to the patrons to make sure they are good to go which is a nice touch as well. If you bring your kids, the music might change the baby shark just to make sure the little ones are in a good mood. LOL please try the curry grits the next time you order a meal. Arize Breakfast Cafe is little gem nestled at Camp Creek. I'm so glad I decided against fast food breakfast and gave this restaurant a try. It truly deserves five stars. The service was great, everyone is pleasant and personable. The food was so good. I ordered the chicken and waffles and immediately fell in love with the waffle and chicken. The chicken breast wasn't overly salty or battered and the waffle was cooked to perfection. Nice and airy with a side of Cognac sauce. The sauce has a kick for sure! Did I mention the ambience? I was excited to see a new restaurant let alone a breakfast spot open up in the Camp Creek area. It's full of fast food and chain restaurants. So something new and out the box is always welcomed. I've eaten here 2 times, all being carry out. The first time I had the Baileys french toast with potatoes which kicked off my love for Arize. The french toast was cooked to perfection and came with a chopped bananas,pecans and whipped cream on the side. The second time around I tried the egg white veggie omelet with potatoes and wheat toast which was equally as good. The actual restaurant itself is small with about 6 or 7 tables giving it a true cafe appeal. And though I've always called or ordered online, it's relatively a short wait. The staff is always very helpful and attentive. My only complaint would be the hours. I believe at one point they used to open 7am on the weekends but now it's 9am. Not a big deal but it's always nice to beat the crowd and again there is a lot of seating. At any rate this is a great place for a good, quick bite to eat. No too fancy or expensive. So i have come here since they opened. I was super excited to have a black owned breakfast spot near where i lived. Sadly since i have patronized this business it can not stay consistent. I know you have to find your niche but this is just too much. I really want to like this place. I do but every time i come it's different and i just can't really vibe with it.
