I arrived right at opening and everything was fresh, available to order and well presented. When they say they're open they're OPEN. No "give us 20 minutes" or "we're waiting on the oxtails." Just pure Jamaican goodness! The flavors shone thru and with every bite I could taste Jamaica. The oxtails, jerk wings, sweet chilli wings and salmon all delivered on every level. And the beef patty deserves its one spotlight. Flaky, warm and so delicious that it didn't make its way outside the restaurant. Served warm enough to where you can immediately enjoy it, and I did. This review is based on a delivery order. It all arrived hot, despite the distance. Everything I ordered was delicious! I ordered the Vegetable Patty, Spinach Patty, Pepper Shrimp Patty, side of Collard Greens, and the Cucumber Ginger juice. Every item was packed with flavor! I always heard about this restaurant but never tried them, but this day I stopped by after work since it was close to my job. I noticed it is basically a bunch of food options then you pick the protein and sides of your choice. As a worker was preparing my plate, she unfortunately did not put on gloves first. Also, all the food did not have any type of lid or covering over it. Which would have been very useful since the worker did not have a mask on and was talking over the food. But I still have them a chance, until I tried the food. The chicken was pretty good, the sauce was a little hot though. And the plantains were perfect. I got my oxtail fix and it was greatness. Oh man such delicious food with a lovely portion size. Plenty of oxtail to go with my rice and cabbage. Flavorful and not to salty. I could taste all the different spices and I appreciated the depth of flavors. I tried my brother's Mac and cheese and that also was very impressive. The plantains were also very very good! I'll start by saying that I know this isn't authentic Jamaican but I still expected something edible at least. My wife grabbed this for me in the way home. Rasta Pasta is typically made with a creamy, well seasoned sauce. This was noodles, vegetables and juice. Upon opening the container, it looked like dry, unseasoned noodles. I moved the pasta to the side and that's when I saw all the juice puddled at the bottom. I tasted it anyways and it's as disgusting as it looks. To add insult to injury, it's sweet. I hate sweet foods unless it's dessert. It sure if they added sugar or used a sweet coconut milk. Either way it's completely inedible and a waste of $15. Never again. read more

Was very disappointed by the taste. I had stew chicken and considering that is a basic dish it was not good. Major issue is no one made it known that their lunch portion differed from the small. SO much so the woman who rang me up asked me, if you have to ask me a new customer then you surely have an issue with what is truly a lunch portion. We decided to try this restaurant since our other Jamaican place was closed during the time of our order. We ordered online for a shorter or no wait time for pick up. I ordered the curried goat meal with rice and beans and plantains and my husband ordered the brown stew chicken. My order was flavorful but not a lot of goat more rice than anything. My husbands meal tasted like boil chicken nothing special and not a lot of flavor. We selected three stars because of this and because of the price of food compared to the amount of food we received compared to other Jamaican locations. It's not a bad place. This location blows that one out of the water, it is extremely clean and the customer service is top notch. Not to mention they let me substitute cabbage for Mac and cheese, the Newnan location would NEVER. They act as if it's a crime to substitute and want you to pay for it as another side vs a substitute. Stopped in here because I had just touched down in Atlanta. I love the patties!! I wish Vegas had something like this. The workers were friendly and quick and I was in and out in no time at all. I had the Jerk Chicken and a spinach patty. Both were good. Not grease and the crust was flaky. I also tried a taste of my friends curry patty. I think that was my favorite. Reminded me of a spot in LA I had tried. This is great for a fast food Caribbean joint. I'm sure I'll be stopping in here for a snack again during my weeks stay.
