Let me say... not only is the food good, it's so good I ended up at Golden Krust - Senioa Rd.TWO DAYS in a row. Yes, you read that correctly. I had to run the exact same order back a second time it was so good. Now... for the story... I had been wanting a roti and didn't feel like driving to Stone Mountain. Coming from Boston, I tend to have a craving periodically. As such, I hopped on Yelp and searched for "Roti" and found out that Golden Krust - Senioa Rd. had them. Once I saw that it was a go for me. I decided to place my order via DoorDash and head on over. Scrolling down the menu I decided to take it back to all the things I love and get a Spicy Beef Patty, Coco Bread, Brown Stew Chicken Roti, and a Small Rice & Peas. All I could think of was the Caribbean flavors combining in my mouth the entire ride to Golden Krust - Senioa Rd lol. Once on site, Golden Krust - Senioa Rd. was very clean and the staff was very welcoming. I walked in, headed to the counter, provided them my name, confirmed my order, and stood to the side to wait for my order to be ready. Once my order was ready I was on my way. Let's talk about food... Beef Patty: Bombbbbbbbbb. Spicy but not too spicy. Flavorful. Fresh. Flaky. Meaty. And golden brown. Coco Bread: Soft. Buttery. Flavorful. Thick. Not hard. Fresh. Brown Stew Chicken: Juicy. Meaty. Flavorful. Authentic. Nice portion. Not too boney. Tender. Roti: Flaky. Flavorful. Fresh. Chewy but not too chewy. Rice and Peas: Perfectly tender. Bursting with authentic flavor. Perfect rice to bean ratio. This food was amazing. Everything paired well together and was very filling. All of the food was made with care and truly carried authentic Caribbean flavor. Every single thing I ordered stood on its own and was amazing. So much, I went back the next day for round two. Yes. I've been at many Golden Krust restaurants in Miami and Atlanta. But this location is always clean, food is delicious and employees are nice. I ordered 4 meals for my family. I had oxtail, my husband had pork, my son had brown stew chicken and my daughter in law had curry chicken. We all had peas with rice and plantains. The food was so delicious and seasoned very well. I had a very disappointing experience at the Golden Krust on February 5th. I ordered a large curry goat meal and when I got home the rice was undercooked and the curry goat was mostly bones and fat with barely any meat. When I returned the next day as instructed to get my plate remade, the manager accused me of lying about being there until she checked the cameras and saw that I was. Even after proving my purchase with my debit card transaction, she still refused to remake my plate or offer a refund. The customer service was extremely unprofessional and disappointing.Never will spend my hard earned money at this location ever again read more

We don't order take out often but we've gotten dinner here a few times. It's very good, like someone's grandma cooked and you were lucky enough to be invited for dinner. I think it's a chain fast casual restaurant, though. My fiancé always orders oxtails, but I always order something new. I love learning about culture through the food. The staff isn't the most friendly, but I've heard that's common? We don't really mind since we just pick up food and take it home. The restaurant is located in a newish strip mall with a private parking lot. We'll probably order from them again soon! read more

They don't honor their own coupons from yelp. They acted like I was nuts. I was told that it was for mobile order only and then I was told that it was not for first order by 2 separate people. It specifically says 10% off first order when you check in. The check-in coupon is useless. The spinach patty was excellent! It was nice, hot and flaky outside while it was hot and tender inside. It was a bit on the spicy side, but just the right amount. It didn't overpower the flavor of the spinach. I liked that it wasn't oily at all. The chicken patty (pictured) was also steaming hot but was more spicy. They used too much turmeric as it was overwhelming the chicken flavor. The chicken also was a bit too pasty. In my opinion, the spinach a lot was better. My overall opinion is, if it is on your way, stop if you like this kind of fast food. But don't go out of your way to stop here! The service was ok, but they could of been more courteous. They were not very knowledgeable about what they are serving either. We didn't eat from the bar so I can't rate the other foods they serve. They have 2 tables inside the place but I don't believe they have the dine in area open right now. They place is really small so I don't recommend eating inside as people stand next to you while waiting in line if you sit at a table. read more

The food was not good and $26. The mac and cheese was extremely gross. The top layer had layer of cheese crust and bottom was loose and no macaroni barely. Had a clove of cinnamon taste; gross. Plantains were so over cooked and burned. Oxtails very small. Two different types of beans in the rice. Ya'll need some lessons from Hampton location. My daughter and a friend went to the Newnan location for lunch. They brought me a jerk chicken sandwich home from there. The chicken was so hard and dry I thought I bit into a bone! I can't help but feel like the person that made the sandwich knew the chicken was almost wood which made me immediately question the age of the chicken. If I hint at feeling unwell later or tomorrow I won't hesitate to send the health department to that establishment! BTW-I only took one bite, used my fingers to feel the rest of the pieces, found them all to be like wood and was finished with it. They should be ashamed of themselves. Glad we stopped here, the food was good. I asked about the coupon that popped up when I checked in on yelp, but the manager said they no longer honor that coupon. They have their own website and they use Clover. Never heard of clover before, but maybe that's a GA thing? We ordered the oxtails and Caribbean fried chicken. The oxtails are pricey at $27 after tax for a large plate. But it was enough food for two days of leftovers and they were very tender and tasted great. The fried chicken was good, but wasn't as spicy as I was hoping for. I liked that you can ask for gravy on your rice from a dish that's different from the one you ordered. The plantains were great. My husband liked the cabbage, but I thought they left it a bit too crunchy. I would come again if I was passing through. read more

They had no cabbage, or white rice and the macaroni only had two scoops in the pan. I ordered curry goat with rice and peas. The goat wasn't that bad but nowhere near what I get at other locations. The rice wasn't cooked all the way through. Will not be going back to this location. Not the first time with them. read more

The young lady working up front was friendly. The curry chicken was extremely spicy and tasted "powdery/gritty". Plantain was good, cabbage was bland and there were other sides I was not able to order due to them not being ready (mac and cheese). The oxtail plate was delicious. read more

I haven't been here in awhile, but my last experience was positive. This time, almost everything about this visit was negative. I usually get oxtail with white rice, they didn't have it so I got rice and peas which was fine. I got home, the rice was terrible, it tasted overcooked meaning it was hard. The yams weren't soft and didn't have flavor and the mac and cheese did not hit like it used too. It was stiff and had a weird flavor. Additionally, the rice that was under the yams had collected a lot of liquid and upon eating it, it tasted old and borderline rotten. The oxtails were a solid 7/10. Not bad but not the best I've had from them. I'm not sure if it was this particular visit or if they declined since the last time I came but either way, I'm disappointed. read more

Everything is in slow motion.  I waited over 20 minutes to order and pay for beef patties.  Three ladies behind the counter and no one thinking of being a cashier.  After 17 minutes of waiting to pay, I walked out and left my food still sitting there.  There were 5 other people waiting to pay but no one was concerned about the transactions.  The express lane for beef patties is just for decoration.  There is nothing express at this place.  This is my 4th time here with the same sort of lack of engagement.   I suggest the owners sit down at a Chic-Fil-A and see how they do it it. read more

The Golden Krust chain is usually commercialized but this is the best Golden Krust I've ever been too. First of all it's so clean and the food is always fresh sometimes I get breakfast and come back for lunch in the same day and the staff is so nice and welcoming. I love this one. Only 4 comes with a small meal and TWO yes I said TWO pieces of yams which they contend that it substitutes the plantain stop this! Stop treating both of them like condiments. Now let's talk about this Mac n cheese. This is so wrong... Not even sure if I even had in macaroni. A pan of processed cheese mush. It definitely looked but the over cooked pasta ruined it for me. Visited this location today and unfortunately the experience here is always disappointing. It seems as though they think the food merits nasty customer service but it doesn't. The front staff is probably rude because the owner is rude. I'm really not sure what's hard about being courteous especially when people are patronizing your establishment. With that being said I will drive out of the way to Old National to get good service and better food because they don't have it here. Please as another patron suggested, "visit Chic-fil-a" to see how it's done. Also the jerk sauce is actually barbecue sauce and the restaurant has no condiments. The food was subpar so that makes the experience and the price even worse. Next time I'll spend my $35 elsewhere. It always pays to be courteous to your patrons so please remember that. read more

I've been a customer of this franchise for over a decade. This new location is less than impressive. The food is not as tasty as other locations (Old Natl. especially), they are real Skimpy with portions and the service/staff is less than stellar on most of my 4-5 visits. I think I'll just take the dive back to the College Park location from now on... if I have to patronize ppl with a bad attitude, at least let the Food be worth it. On Friday I bought a large jerk chicken with rice and peas and it was horrible. First off it was like an extra small, food was cold and sloppy and worst of all the girl soak the rice with so much gravy it was like soup I ate the plantains and threw everything else away wasted my money I'm still upset. I love this location! The food is always fresh, hot and on point! You can eat in or get it to go. Visiting family members stop here to pick up food before they get to their final destination. The owner is amazing! They catered my birthday party 2 years ago and people are STILL talking about the food! I had them cater my family reunion of 150 people this past weekend. I decided to give this location in Fairburn another try since they are 3 minutes from my house. This location failed me again. First, the food was uncovered when I walked in. Secondly, the chicken was extremely dry and nasty and they only give u one little container of sauce. They charge for extra sauce. The cabbages was old and made my stomach hurt. I'll just drive 20 more minutes to the Golden Crust on Old National where the food and service is 100 percent better. read more
