    Georgian Lemonade
    Alex L.

A real hidden gem of a restaurant nested away in the south of Brooklyn. The food was nothing short of incredible. A group of friends and I left feeling very satisfied with the food, have some to take home and spent less than $40 per head, inclusive of tip! Each table was nicely laid out with stands dotted around to help keep the food elevated and easily accessible (family style is the way to go here). The Pkhali mix was simply out of this world. I couldn't get enough of the beet one but that's not to say the spinach one wasn't good - it was also very tasty. Everything was well seasoned; lots of herbs were used but in a balanced manner so it never felt overpowering. Dishes were rich in flavor, but not sickly - fat came mainly from nuts as opposed to butter. The Georgian lemonade was interesting. The minty aftertaste complimented our meal nicely. Even the seltzer (Nabeglavi) was different, which is believe is down to the use of mineral water instead of spring. I recommend giving both these drinks a try. I almost forgot, the Adjarian Khachapuri was just fantastic. I was not able to take a picture as the waiter was quick with preparing (mixing the egg) and serving the dish as it arrived at our table. My meal here really opened my eyes to the diverse and complex flavors of Georgian cuisine. I can't say I've had the real deal til now. Even though I live in Williamsburg, I'll definitely be making a trip back. Highly highly recommend! p.s. being BYOB is a nice cherry on top :)

Excellent Georgian restaurant in Brooklyn. Best "cheese boat" I've had. Delicious food, large portions, reasonable prices. Good service, particularly excellent job at bringing each order out at a good pace, unlike many places. Couple things: if they are only going to have two waiters for the entire packed restaurant (with no support staff), don't charge a 10% service charge that doesn't go to them. Second, parking is brutal so plan early.

If you are looking to taste great Georgian Cousine , that's the place to go. The restaurant is not big, but cozy, it's very outdated in terms of the interior decor, that's why I took one star out. It's more like a cafe, not restaurant. But the food is very delicious, fresh .the portions are good . The service is outstanding, the wait time is minimum, and the prices are very friendly . We went to another Georgian restaurant on Emmons , Brooklyn, and the bill was the same in both places, but only on Emmons there were only 4 of us, and in Argo, there were 8 of us.

Delicious authentic Georgian food! My sister and I had a fantastic server named Kaxa - he was especially helpful at giving recommendations about good food combinations and answering questions about food we never tried before. Very knowledgeable, kind, and also provided fast service with great quality. Strongly recommend this restaurant! Very friendly atmosphere. Khinkali (in the photo) is delicious and the Georgian salad with walnut sauce is an absolute must! For drinks, Tarragon Georgian lemonade and fruit compote are both great! For Alcohol, it's BYOB like most such restaurants.

Khinkali, Immeriuli khachapuri and Georgian salad. Soooo delicious

Great customer service! We ordered: khinkali with lamb and beef, imeriuli khachapuri, Georgian salad, lulya kebab. Every item deserve 5/5. It was delicious.

Very good kachapuri. That's a risky dish for delivery and mine tip just enough for the egg to spill into the pizza box. But never fear, that was repairable by heating the bread and cheese bowl back up and dropping an egg in and mix it up. Grat bread. Good Borscht. The food was quality and the delivery comment about I t the egg is only.my fault. It could have been me who tipped it carrying it up the stairs. Glad I ordered from argo. .

Very warm and friendly atmosphere , the eggplants with walnuts are to die for ! Mushroom soup actually was a real mushroom soup with a lot of mushrooms in it $8. All stuff wears masks and gloves , they do provide hand sanitizers . Thank you Argo for your food and hospitality ! We'll definitely be back

    Tsatsivi from chicken

It was not bad experience.. Coffee was excellent, soups are good, tasty. Tsatsivi sauce was not good enough..it supposed to be much thicker with 7 herbs and walnuts. Chicken was absolutely tasteless. Quality of lamb meat was very low on a scale from 1 to 5. its 2. I would not recommend this restaurant if you want an authentic Georgian food.

Best Georgian cuisine in south Brooklyn so far. I have trie khachapuri in multiple locations including supermarkets and restaurants but this place blows all others away. I hate it when the ratio to cheese and dough is greater on the dough side. Argo is not at all stingy with their cheese! And uses the slimmest amount of dough to make it like your eating a delicious abundance of melted variety of cheeses with enough dough to not mask the amazing flavours. I'm not going to stop there, I have in their tuna Tata twice at this point first time they made it with pineapple and I absolutely loved it so I came back expecting the same thing but they threw a huge curveball at me and brought out to Tata with mango this time! It was just as amazing if not more so. My cousin has there fried liver cubes and I have never heard him express food is amazing until he had their fried liver cubes, he didn't even give us an opportunity to try them! They're gone in like two minutes. We also had beef ribs which were so well prepared no fall off the bone. And another one of my favourites now is there a chicken liver with pomegranate, I asked them to make it not spicy because it comes very spicy and it was absolutely delicious but if you're looking to eat something spicy you enjoy this either way.

The only reason this order is getting 2 stars instead of 1 is because the restaurant handled the…read moredelivery itself, it arrived very quickly, still hot, and everything was wrapped carefully. The best item in the entire order was the Mushroom Gratin (what many Eastern Europeans would simply call mushroom julienne- Mix of mushrooms in a heavy cream sauce and topped with melted cheese). It was cheesy, properly cooked, flavorful, and actually very good. That said, the price increase is absurd. This dish used to cost $15 and now costs $26, which is a 73% jump, while the portion is still only moderate. Good? Yes. Worth $26? That is another question. The Chicken Stroganoff, however, was a complete failure. It looks like the kitchen was trying to put its own "innovative" spin on a classic dish by serving Chicken Stroganoff over a latke -- basically a large potato pancake/hash brown -- and by adding pickles directly into the dish. In theory, that could have been interesting. In reality, it did not work at all. A proper Stroganoff is usually served with mashed potatoes or buckwheat, and pickles, if used at all, should complement the dish, not drag it down. Here, the pickles added nothing because they were the same poor-quality pickles this restaurant sells separately for extra money: thick, tough, bland, and lacking the garlicky, flavorful bite that good Eastern European pickles are supposed to have. The latke itself was also a miss. Instead of being thin, crisp, and well-seasoned like a proper Eastern European potato pancake, it was thick, heavy, and almost completely flavorless. No character, no seasoning, no real potato crispness -- just a large bland base taking up space on the plate. And that is exactly the problem with this dish overall: far too much latke, very little actual Stroganoff. The chicken portion was minimal, the mushrooms in the Stroganoff were bland and underseasoned, and the chicken pieces themselves were chewy, tough, and unpleasant to eat. The sauce was also weak and unmemorable. So what we really received was an oversized, mediocre potato pancake with a very small amount of badly executed Chicken Stroganoff spread over it to make the portion look more substantial than it actually was. I also paid extra $2 for extra pickles, and that was not worth it either. The portion was tiny-1 fat pickle, quality was poor -- thick, tough, and zero flavor. I asked for extra black bread, and "extra" apparently meant 4 pieces. Better than nothing, but hardly generous considering the prices this place now charges. So overall: extremely fast delivery, 1 very good mushroom appetizer, and 1 overpriced main dish that completely failed despite trying to sound creative on paper. At these prices, "innovative" is not enough. The food actually has to taste good. Here, only 1 dish did.

A+ The entrees were an upmost disaster. We had a table of 5. The kids menu is lacking. I get it. Kids menus aren't great but there were two things on the menu. Fine, we ordered the chicken tenders and fries. The chicken was beyond over cooked. It was a hockey puck. Not even edible. The fries looked awesome but served ice cold. Two of us got the special. The lamb burger. The burger was 5 oz of gyro meat served on a huge bun with cucumbers. There was more cucumbers than meat and way more bread than both cucumbers or meat. I got the crispy chicken wrap which basically was a chicken Caesar wrap. The dressing was sour. The chicken was the same from the kids meal, dry and not edible. The other person in our party got the avocado toast and it was good but only came with one egg. Overall I wanted to like this place but the food seems precooked. Not well executed and it's a pass for me for the price.

Kind of surprising for a restaurant in Chelsea to be so busy at 5pm so we knew this was a buzzy spot. The interiors and the bathrooms are beautifully decorated. We ordered the salt cod fritters, braised oxtail gratin, the roasted sunchokes, peri-peri chicken and the blood orange cheesecake all to share. I thought the food was out of this world. It was Sat but the music would start much later so there was no noise and we could talk. Almost all food we ordered was exceptionally delicious, from appetizers to desserts. The service was very attentive and we also got good suggestions helping to avoid ordering too much :) We highly recommend Chateau de Capitane for excellent delicious food and we'll certainly be back! Appetizers Trio Tartare - awesome! It had tuna, salmon, and yellowtail tartare and each had its own distinct taste. Can't really say which one was better as they were all good but different. Sesame Tuna - perfect! Tuna was tender and flavorful, melting in the mouth. Duck Salad - this one could be better as the duck was dry and scarce. Arugula Goat Cheese Salad - delicious! We were debating whether to order this salad as we make it at home, but we didn't regret. It had a perfect combo of ingredients + some sauce or smth making it a harmony. Kutaby with Herbs - fresh, warm, flavorful. Belyash with Meat - this eastern russia deep fried meat patty was about 1.5x of the standard size. It had perfectly fried dough (not burned) and plenty of juicy medium cooked meat inside. I tired belyashi in restaurants in russia and made at home, but this one surpassed them all. Just this single belyash already makes it worth coming back to Chateau de Capitane :) Soups Uha with Salmon - it was good, fresh, and clear. Plenty of salmon. It was tasty but somewhat standard. The taste could be made more colorful with some extra spices and maybe lemon. Dushpora - fresh and tasty, with cute mini-dumplings. We all tried and liked it. Solaynka - this one was unfortunately a miss. Tasteless and over salted. Mains Duck with Dried Fruits - simply amazing! If you like duck - this a must have! The portion was very generous and had la parts of duck - legs, wings, and breast. It was super juicy and tender, cooked to perfection. The dry fruits were of a good variety and matched the duck. Chilean Sea Bass with Creamy Polenta - soft, flakey, delicious! It wasn't not too fatty as a sea bass could be. Polenta was a great match as well as a mushroom sauce served on the side. Grilled Branzino - it was served nicely peeled off the bones and had great flavor and texture, yet was not "fishy". Stuffed Jumbo Shrimps - these were very good according to the people who ate them.
