    Creamed Spinach was delicious!
    Ellie Q.

We were excited to try the new Archive here in Old Town Temecula. The building is one of our favorites with a grand old charm. We were received by a friendly host and seated right away. She was gracious about where we preferred to sit which always goes a long way with me. It can make all the difference in a dining experience. We ordered our drinks and food. They weren't quite ready for the whole menu to be served yet since some side dishes were not finished yet. But we didn't mind too much because it's a new restaurant and the server was so kind and apologetic about it. We started with the salad, oysters and Brussel Sprouts. We enjoyed them very much. The salad was a little meh but fresh. For the rest of the lunch we ordered the whole Branzino, the Rib-eye, the Filet, and the burger. EVERYTHING was absolutely delicious! We were quite surprised and pleased. The server brought our table some complimentary mashed potatoes and creamed spinach since the sides we would've ordered weren't available yet. Good thing he did! It definitely made our meal complete and they were perfectly prepared. The only negatives were that the food took a bit longer than average to arrive (which they get a pass because they're still new), and they didn't serve any bread which is always appreciated at a higher end restaurant, especially with that long of a wait time. Still, five stars because I will be thinking about their food until the next time. We love Archive and it will be a regular place for our family to fine-dine in the near future.

Rib eye, creamed spinach, scallops with a side of rice

Finally got to try this new restaurant for a valentine dinner. We started with the wedge which was ok I thought it needed more dressing and they forgot to give us steak knives to cut with. My husband ordered the rib eye which was flavorful cooked perfectly and pre-sliced which he loved also he ordered the creamed spinach which he also loved. I ordered the scallops from the starter menu ( was great as an entree, large enough) although I wasn't feeling the veggie option to add to and I wasn't feeling the mashed potatoes that night so I asked for a side of coconut rice, which they gladly accommodated my request which I appreciated. ( Coconut rice came with another dish ) thought it would be good with the scallops and it was they were divine and rice was tasty and they only charged $5 for the small bowl but it hit the spot. My only complaint was the slate board the scallops were served on was a little messy for this dish. Would have preferred a regular plate just a small issue. The ambiance is super cute the music was old tunes that really made it special. Would definitely return

    Whole branzino

If you want to share this dish, you TOTALLY can! This photo doesn't do it justice, it is HUGE. Meat was super tender and so so yummy. Nothing beats the service tho! Whole staff very friendly and gm Cody is amazing. Welcoming and aesthetic place definitely would come back :)

I thought this place was great. They are still working the kinks, no wine list, out of a few things but my Filet was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The service was great and they did a great job transforming the restaurant from the previous establishment. Will definitely comeback.

This new seafood and steak house is an absolute gem and a must-visit. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm, upscale, and inviting--perfect for a date night, celebration, or to even sit at the bar for craft cocktails. The food is nothing short of exceptional. Every dish we tried was packed with flavor. Amazing appetizers, incredibly fresh seafood and to die for steaks. Do not forget to try the cray cocktails. The service truly elevates the experience. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming, making you feel taken care of without being rushed. You can tell they take pride in what they do. The owners are locals and are wonderful.

Walked in to Archive for dinner with friends and it was a great choice. The food, ambience and cocktails were all delicious. Our waiter was also very nice! I love octopus and when I saw the Charred Octopus on their menu it was a must and it did not disappoint.

We got to experience the soft opening this weekend and it did not disappoint. Cocktails, Scallops and the Salmon were all delicious! We were so happy to see familiar faces and some new (Mark) Definitely excited to have a place like this in Old Town. We will definitely be back!

Chic, Modern, and Worth It!! What an incredible addition to the dining scene. The ambiance is stylish and upscale, yet still comfortable and inviting. The service we received from Cody was impeccable! He was engaging, had us laughing, and even showed us photo tips! That, along with making us the best espresso martini, makes him #1 in our book! The food exceeded expectations, offering rich flavors, generous portions, and an absolutely delicious experience from start to finish. Perfect for date night, celebrations, or just treating yourself to a top-tier dining experience. I highly recommend Archive, and if you have the opportunity to have Cody serve you... you are in for a special treat!

Our server was amazing, and the food was super tasty. We ordered a bunch to share--pizza, burgers, shishito peppers, pesto pasta, and goat cheese toast--all of which were delish. That said, there were a few downsides. At one point, the server forgot to put in my order, which was fine since we were all full, but it was a bit funny waiting for a burger that wasn't even in the system. We were excited to hear the band, but with some tech difficulties and having been there over an hour, we decided it was time to head out. Overall, it's a good place with great vibes, good food, and wonderful service. Definitely a spot I'd return to for a relaxed night out.

We still come here for brunch occasionally & taco Tuesdays when they have them (currently not happening). Seating is pretty open & outdoor patio is very nice on a warm day. The restaurant doubles as a club on weekends with a dj. They also offer events during the week at times like a sip & paint or karaoke you just need to check the website to find out what & when. Staff is super friendly & since they are known to get busy at times we have learned to be very patient when this occurs... we know that tge servers are well worth the wait! My favorite dish here is the avocado toast or the tomato addiction appetizer. During Christmas they have really tasty cocktails & decorations to make it feel festive/cozy. Downside is the restrooms: only 2 both co Ed & they often smell. So I often wait until we go somewhere else to potty.

The floors were noticeably messy, some might even say gross. There were random spills that clearly had not been wiped up, and even the bathrooms were bad. Should we really be able to see a plunger and a dirty toilet brush while washing our hands? Service-wise, our waitress was nice, but overall it was slow. We waited a long time for our first round of drinks, and when the food finally came out, it was not even hot, which made it even more frustrating. The food itself did not live up to the price. The "tempura" artichoke hearts were basically just heavily breaded and fried, not light or crispy like you would expect or like the menu suggests. The charcuterie board, which was over $50, was kind of shocking. It looked like a random mix of deli meats, basic cheeses, canned fruit, and filler. Nothing felt special or worth the price. It looks amazing, but do not be fooled by what you see around you. You are better off spending $25 at Trader Joe's. The ribeye was wildly underwhelming. If I wanted a steak I could buy at Food 4 Less and grill in the park, I would do it myself. The chicken somehow managed to be even worse, dry and lacking flavor. Lemon and capers, where? Overall, it felt overpriced and poorly executed. Between the cleanliness issues, the long wait, and the disappointing food, it is easy to say it is definitely not worth your time. Check out the Gambling Cowboy instead. This is a no brainer when you read the replies from the owner to any negative feedback. If an establishment feels the need to defend itself in such an unprofessional manner, that tells you everything you need to know about taking your money elsewhere. No ownership, just blame. Nobody is out here writing reviews to ruin your business, you are doing that well enough on your own. "The lady doth protest too much, methinks."
