This place is a great compounding pharmacy. First of all, after calling around to many places for a prescription for my cat with no success, I was glad to know that they could actually fill it. The pharmacist said she would add some fish flavoring to make it more palatable. Also when I told her thanks because one of his medicines was so bitter, he gags every time he takes it, she told me that it was a medicine that she could compound into a cream that could be rubbed on his ear! About a week or two after, she even called to follow up if my cat liked it When I returned for a refill she said so that my cat would really like it, she was going to add extra flavoring. This pharmacy is AMAZING!!! It is a nice, friendly, and very clean environment. They provide great customer service. You are greeted immediately and served within minutes. Parking is also very convenient. The pharmacist really cares for your needs. She is very knowledgeable and knows all her products very well. I had really bad acne when I went to the pharmacy. The pharmacist recommended an acne masque treatment and moisturizing cream. I kid you not, it did magic! I noticed a huge difference within a day and my acne was all gone less than 4 days. Excellent pharmacy! My amazing vet, Dr. Grote (see my review of his incredible skills), prescribed a specific type of antibiotic for my cat with FeLV. No other pharmacy had it, but Arcade Lane did. Not only that, but they were able to fill my prescription 20 minutes after I called them, since it was an urgent matter. They accommodated the needs of their customer and were happy to do it. Although I don't typically write yelp reviews (I'm more of a yelp freeloader), Gayane did so right by me that I had to something to show my sincere appreciation. I found this pharmacy by recommendation from a health care practitioner because I needed a compounding pharmacy, which this is and most other pharmacies are not. The Rx was phoned in on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, and I went to pick up the medicine about 20 minutes after it was phoned in. The pharmacy didn't have enough of the ingredients in stock to make a full batch, so I was given a temporary supply to hold me over until the delivery of ingredients on Wednesday. On Wednesday, the delivery was late, and the pharmacy was closing early for the holiday. To make sure that I had the medicine that I needed, Gayane agreed to stay in the area and phone me after hours when it was ready, which she did. In other words, I completely agree with the other comments that the staff here pays attention to the needs of the patient and goes above and beyond to be informative and collaborative in providing service. Arcade Lane Compounding Pharmacy meets all my requirements. They are easy to access and - a little known fact - they have parking in the back if you can't find it on the street. They handle all complex and pseudo complex compounding scripts I bring them. They are price competitive with other compounding pharmacies and this may be important to you if you are on several products. The staff will expedite orders but that's usually not necessary because they fill very quickly under ordinary circumstances. Gayanne is really quite wonderful and has troubleshooted for me on a number of occasions, patiently and politely, and is extremely knowledgeable. She sets very clear expectations as to how and when a medication should be taken and if it is with food or not. I was ignorant enough to think those things don't matter that much for most of my life and as it turns out, they do! I was very impressed with this pharmacy. I found this place on google, and from the first phone call (of many) I only experienced excellent customer service. I was looking for a pharmacy to make rectal motrin for my toddler who had a fracture and was in pain but wouldn't take medicine orally. The pharmacist worked with me and my physician to come up with a solution (which ended up being marshmallow flavored oral motrin which i son loved. I rarely write reviews. This place has been the most wonderful find in Los Angeles and the surrounding area. I hate to say it but previous to them I was getting my cat's meds couriered from Rancho Park Compounding Pharmacy. There was ALWAYS an issue. Anyway, when I moved to Pasadena, I found this pharmacy. They not only have great service, they treat me like a neighbor, a patron, and friend. They are always concerned about my animal and are wonderful about making the medication. They make it with almond oil instead of water and it stays useable longer, and is better for my animal. I am mentioning this because other pharmacies make the medication expire faster so you have to refill it more. This place does this even though it may hurt the bottom line. They also SHIP which is amazing since I moved to Santa Barbara. I will continue to use them. Please do yourself a favor, call them, go in, they will help you with whatever you need. I was having a problem with a compounding drug from another pharmacy. I called Arcade Lane and spoke with a pharmacist and told her about my problems and concerns. She went over my allergies, reactions to drugs I was taking . She told me she would call my doctor if needed and would transfer my scrip. I also told her I was having problems with my Thyroid meds and we discussed a compounding with a least sensitive filler. The main thing about this group is that they created a vaginal bio identical hormone cream that works 100% better than the one provided by the very large compounding pharmacy my prescribing doctor had recommended and always used -- the cream from the other compounding pharmacy did not stay in for even a minute - while lying down!! and I didn't realize it was something wrong with the compounding for two whole prescriptions - then I happened to notice this place so close and convenient and decided to try it, well, to my great surprise, the same prescription in the Arcade Lane formula stays put for hours! My cat was very sick and receiving steroids for IBD, and unfortunately, his medicine disappeared overnight and could not be found. We called arcade lane and they said they'd have it ready for us by tomorrow. However, when we explained his condition and that without his medicine he wasn't eating and was in pain, they did a rush job and prepared it for us within a few hours. Furthermore, when we picked up the medicine the pharmacist explained that usually for IBD the steroids are given extended release, while our vet had asked for them to be regular release. She informed us that we might want to talk to our vet and double check that they wanted the regular release. So all in all, arcade lane compounding pharmacy has knowledgeable and compassionate staff, and I would recommend them to anyone that needs a medicine compounded. read more
