It was kind of hard to find cause it's right next to the Love's travel gas station and the big sign of Arby's is not where the restaurant located. We accidentally went under the big Arby sign thinking that's the fast food restaurant....but no, it's actually the truck stop for drivers to rest and shower. You can hear the announcement for numbers to call to shower, it's a SYSTEM! hat's off to the hard working drivers there and they are nice and polite. When it's 8 hours drive, it's hard to come by fast food that is fresh, fast and pleasant. A lot of stop area is dirty...nope not here, it's clean and Lizbeth is great. She took the order and speak on her mic, the food came out RIGHT away, I mean really right away....with that speed, I will assume the food taste pre-made and stale.....NOPE, it's fresh. We ordered the Arby's French dip, it's nice to have hot soup in such a long drive, and then that famous stack of beef....and unlimited Arby sauce, horsy sauce and of course ketchup.....then, the jalapeño poppers are fresh, crispy and pipping hot......oh I am in long drive heaven!!!! I need to ask my hubby to order more cause everything is so good and no line and no people, we ordered again the chicken salad sandwich has lots of meat, good balance taste of grapes and FINELY SHERRED cabbage, I mean any deli in those fancy pancy cafe would easily charged for 15, 16, even 20...no, you can find it in Arby's and it's freshly made......comapre to wendy's that we got earlier in the trip it's like heaven and hell......no comparison.....and the menu keeps on going....I may go back (yes go back) to try the gyro and the peach cobbler, looks good in the pic .....wow, am I talking about a fast food chain, or a real restaurant with extensive menu that serve fresh food???? Convenient place to fuel up and grab a bite. Food was served up quickly and there were small tables as well as a larger communal table. We had the traditional roast beef and tried the cheesesteak. I'm always a fan of the roast beef with Arby's sauce. The cheesesteak was worth the try but I wouldn't get it again. The cheese was more like a cheese sauce. Arby's is adjacent to the Love's gas station and convenience store so it's a good stop for Arby's, snacks and the restroom. There are also showers available. There was a line for the women's room. We had stopped at Sinclair's for gas prior and there were clean restrooms and no lines so it might be worth a walk there if there is a wait. While on a roadtrip, my parents and I had to stop for gas and a restroom break. It was dinner hour, so we looked through the restaurant options and agreed on Arby's. On a Sunday evening, the Love's Travel Stop store next door was crowded, but only a few customers were inside Arby's. To order, we used the kiosk which I found convenient. My mom ordered the Classic Beef 'n Cheddar Meal and my dad ordered the $7.99 Meat & 3 Box that comes with a Crispy Chicken sandwich. I also ordered the $9.99 Meat & 3 Box which comes with a Greek Gyro. I am the kind of person who prefers variety in my meal, so the small curly fries, two mozzarella sticks, peach cobbler roll, and a small drink were a great addition to my meal. First, the Greek gyro was tasty and the veggies tasted fresh. Secondly, the curly fries were seasoned well, so ketchup was not needed. Thirdly, the mozzarella sticks passed the cheese pull test and the breading was good. Peach cobbler roll is fried and crisp and not too sweet. Their fountain drink station features Coca-Cola beverages and I got a Zero Sugar Minute Maid Lemonade that was refreshing. My dad was also pleased with his chicken sandwich. Although my mom enjoyed her fries, she wished there was more cheese sauce on her Beef 'n Cheddar. Five stars for this fast food stop in the middle of nowhere! The person who took our order was pleasant and efficient, the sandwiches (I had bbq pork and my husband had a lamb gyro) were delicious. I hadn't been to an Arby's in over 30 years, so this was a nice surprise. When driving from NorCal to SoCal, you have to stop somewhere for charging, gas, or food, so why not make it here?! read more

Many times I've trekked on the 5 in the last 15 years, so I'm pretty familiar with what's en route. And I know this is the only Arby's on my route. So on this (possibly) last drive back to SoCal, I figured there's no better time to try than now. Big Bro, Hubbers and I were here for a fuel stop on our way back to SoCal. While they were gassing up the car and the U-Haul truck, I went in to take advantage of their 2 for $7 deal. Went for the classic roast because that's what they're supposedly known for. I know I sound like I've never had Arby's, because I have. But the last run was over 30 years ago, so this might as well be a first time. (What, they were just never in my radar!) Jumped back in the car, took a bite and... WOW. Was it always this tasty?!?? For real, though. There was something about its simplicity that i really liked. Bun was soft and fluffy and they were generous with the protein. I really liked it! FOOD: 4. SERVICE: 3. VALUE: 5. 2 for $7, it's a steal. PARKING: Private lot. Located inside Loves. Shouldn't be an issue. OVERALL: 4. May have been awhile and may have been out of my radar for even longer, but no more. Most of the Arby's in San Diego are closed. The few that are still open are too far from us. Therefore, I usually use my road trips to stop by an Arby's for a quick bite. They still make the same tasty roast beef with cheddar cheese stuffed in soft onion buns as I remembered as a child. Their curly fries are a must. They now added chicken sandwiches and even burgers to their menu. I love this Arby's location on Hwy 46. It's in Lost Hills which is very fitting. read more

I haven't been to an Arby's in YEARS! While driving by this one feeling hungry, we decided to stop here for a quick bite. We went through the drive through. It was really hard for me to hear the person speaking in the drive through speaker, but they were very nice and patient when I apologized and asked if they could repeat what they had said. The customer service here was wonderful and I really appreciate how friendly they were when I had to keep asking if they could repeat. We ordered two of the Deluxe Wagyu Steakhouse Burgers, one fries, and a sprite. The burgers were quite delicious and I really enjoyed it! The fries were also really good. They didn't taste like they had much salt on them, but we used some ketchup, which they gave us a lot of. The size of the drink was HUGE! Awesome takeout experience!!! And, yes, it's really true... Potato Cakes are back... keep them on the menu!!! We stopped at Arby's in the midst of our marathon 10 hour drive to order lunch for eating on the road. Outside it was 105 degrees. Inside it was super cool and very clean. We had an excellent experience ordering at the counter. I thought I was dreaming when I noticed that Potato Cakes were now available for a limited time. Yes! I was soooo excited! I've been missing them ever since they were discontinued years ago. We ordered for takeout: 4 potato cakes, Lemonade & two orders of the 2 Regulars for $6 and packets of ketchup & horsey sauce. We were so happy when we received our order. Everything was absolutely perfect! We were actually surprised, because at other Arby's locations, something is always missing from our order. The potato cakes were cooked perfectly to golden brown, moist inside & crispy outside with that delicious seasoning I never forgot. They were so excellent, they didn't ketchup. The buns for the Regulars were so fresh, perfectly toasted & fluffy. The roast beef was thinly sliced & so delicious with that yummy horsey sauce. The Lemonade was so refreshing & tasty. We paced ourselves and slowly ate our meal over the next couple of hours as we drove. What an awesome experience! I highly recommend this Arby's location if you're in the area. It was the highlight of our long drive on a ridiculously hot day. Thank you to the awesome Arby's crew! It was an absolute pleasure to visit your location. I've been here 4x (didn't get severed 1 of those times). Everytime they completely ignore you when the place is completely empty. Driveway or inside nobody acknowledges you. 3 people in the back just talking and SEE me. I even asked if they're closed - it's the middle of the day. The one time I left was because I sat there for over 10 mins. Sandwich was wrong and cold. Feels like the girl did iit on purpose bc they're annoyed you're there. This is not a standalone Arby's. It's in the same building as the Love's gas station convenience store. That store has bathroom and, apparently because of the frequent announcements, showers available for the long-haul truckers and travelers. Kind of odd to be eating and hearing, "customer XYZ, your shower is ready". lol But, it is easy to park, easy to order and easy to use the restroom (which is in the convenience store part of the building). Food was good, the dining area definitely could use some TLC. I'm sure they get a decent volume of people through there so they might want to increase the number of times throughout the day they clean up the dining area. Self-serve fountain drinks, the usual Arby's menu and our sandwiches were good (not great but good). Not as close and easy to get off and back on the freeway as I thought it would be but it works out there in the middle of nowhere. This Arby's is located in a busy truck stop area and is attached to a big and clean convenience store. Despite being short-staffed with only one cook that I could see, Alen, who was working the front, remained incredibly patient and kind. I observed him assisting a family of Korean origin who were struggling with translations. Knowing a bit of Korean myself, I could understand that they were very greatly for his kindness. As a first-generation half Filipino, I've always been aware of the difference in how people treated my white mom compared to my Filipino dad and family. Seeing people's expressions change and their attitudes shift once they heard a thicker accent and slower English was a common experience. We have been stopping here for a few years when going up and down I5. Like everyone else we use to stop at Kettleman City but that got old really fast and we quit stopping there. This Arby's is inside the truck stop and normally I wouldn't go to a location inside a truck stop simply because they dont always have the full menu or honor the sale prices. This one seems to have the full menu so we stop here each time on the boring drive up and down 5. No bathrooms in the restaurant, they are over on the truck stop side. Ports at tables if you wanna make phone calls. A fountain machine so you can get your own drink refills. Years ago I had an adult friend who loved Arby's so much that she'd make a weekly trip from Marin to Santa Rosa to get her fix. Her taste and mine were very different but I was intrigued by her affection for the place. Recently, while watching the NBA Playoffs with a different friend, she too expressed her affection for Arby's. She loves Subway, so I should've suspected that we too had very different palates. Having seen photos of Arby's roast beef sandwiches I knew the meat was thin-sliced but what I'd not known until I started chewing was that this wasn't like the roast beef you might make and serve at home. I bit in and declared "this is lunch meat!" Not just any lunch meat either. It's lunch meat and the Beef N' Cheddar, which I had, was topped with Nacho Cheese Sauce. What a weird array of flavor sensations, none of them to my liking. I was amused by what they called "horsey sauce" (a condiment you can add to your food) but the reality - a cross between horseradish and mayo - repulsed me somewhat. Their BBQ sauce was adequate. I shared a large order of mozzarella sticks which didn't offend me in the same way the sandwich had. They were mild and uninteresting but satisfying in a non-disgusting way. With other friends I recently discussed my Arby's meal and they declared "Arby's is food for kids". If you still have the palate, you may enjoy Arby's. It seems a lot of adults still do. read more

My server, Giselle, did a great job of attending me and even replaced the Sprite fountain drink at my request despite the rush the store was dealing with at that time. They're basically the McDonald's of sandwiches--I imagine their corporate kitchen to be some super lab, all white-clothed scientists playing with 0.00000001mg of this, and 0.00000001cc of that, to make the most perfect addiction possible. I mean, their roast beef ain't roast beef right?--I bet it's some kind of alien flesh found in a meteor that fell half a century ago, leaving a crater near the South Pole. That's why it feels so..... orgasmic. Anyway, the sandwiches are great, but this particular location sucks. For one, after I waited 20min before I walked up to inquire wtf.... and the cashier person goes, "Oh, yes, it's right here." Yes, I guess it is.
