Bunch of morons work here. Don't be surprised when your personal pizza takes an hour. Insane how long they take to deal with a normal order

The arancini were perfectly crispy on the outside with a warm, creamy center. They were topped generously with fresh parmesan and paired with a rich pink sauce that really elevated the flavor--definitely a standout appetizer. The rigatoni with chicken cutlet was just as impressive. The pasta tasted fresh and perfectly cooked, and the chicken cutlet was tender, crispy, and full of flavor. The pink sauce (labeled as spicy vodka) was absolutely delicious--more savory and creamy than spicy, which made it super enjoyable and well-balanced. Overall, everything was cooked beautifully and full of flavor. I would absolutely come back and highly recommend trying both dishes.

If a restaurant is going to add that kind of charge, it should be clearly disclosed upfront before customers order or make reservations. Unfortunately, the experience did not come close to justifying the extra cost. The steaks were badly overcooked, the food was mediocre at best, and there were large flies throughout the restaurant, which made the meal even more unpleasant. I understand that Mother's Day is a busy day for restaurants, but being busy does not give a business a free pass to surprise customers with excessive charges or deliver poor food and service. The 20% surcharge felt unfair and left a very bad impression. I willnot return, and I would strongly recommend that customers check their bill carefully before paying. My wife and I came to this restaurant because we looked online at the menu and there were 2 items I…read morewas very interested in: The tempura cauliflower and the chicken cordon bleu. We get there, and asked if we have a reservation...uh oh....it was Valentines Weekend, but they did find a table for us. Then we get a waiter who I believe was the busboy to help out and we are told right off the bat that the tempura cauliflower AND the cordon bleu were sold out. Well, damn... this is not a good start. I took a look at the menu and I saw a portobello mushroom appetizer that sounded interesting so, we started with that. We then got some garlic bread to munch on while waiting for the appetizer and it was really good. The portobello mushroom sliced, fried, and served with marinara sauce. I have found mushroom appetizers usually very underwhelming and I wasn't expecting anything extraordinary here, but this appetizer was delicious. The mushroom was prepared perfectly and paired so damn good with the marinara. I forgot all about the sold out cauliflower! Since the cordon bleu was off the menu, I saw my good ol' standby, eggplant parmesan on the menu. At $25, I thought it was a bit pricey considering it didn't come with pasta, but I thought, what the hell. I'll give it a go. My wife ordered the Beef bourguignon with rice. They bring our plates to the table, and my jaw literally dropped at the size of the portions. HUGE. The eggplant parmesan looked more like a lasagna and it was topped with cheese and marinara. Cutting to the chase, it was delicious, impossible to finish, and the eggplant was tender and breaded just right. That portion of eggplant became 3 more meals for me, and I can eat a lot. Worth every penny of that $25. The beef bourguignon was also delicious and the portion was very large as well. We wished we got it with the pasta instead of the rice, though. The leftovers her meal also provided a couple more meals, and the flavor holds up to reheating. I am going to be coming back to this place to sample more of the menu, because if what we had on our first visit is any indication, I will be getting a great meal no matter what is ordered. The service is a little slow, but everyone was very pleasant and seemed truly happy their food was enjoyed.

So I took them up on their and went to Etto and spoke to Mark Leduc, one of the owners about my experience. He apologized my bad experience and offered me a refund of my bill but also asked me to return so that they could make it right. After discussing the offer with my wife we decided to return and give Etto another chance. I called Mr. Leduc and made a reservation for the day after Father's Day, hoping to avoid the crowds. When we arrived the place was packed but we were seated promptly at our Reserved table and almost immediately greeted by our server Ellen who promptly told us about the specials and took our drink orders. Ellen returned promptly and asked if we had any questions. My wife mentioned she would like to order the chicken fried pork chop served with a lemon-arugula/olive oil sauce but that she was allergic to lemons. Ellen said they could eliminate the lemon from the sauce which my wife agreed to. I ordered the Cioppino which came in servings for 1 or 2. I ordered the serving for 1 and imagine my surprise when it came in a large bowl which could easily feed 2. I was assured by Ellen that this was the 'small' service for 1. We also ordered the sausage, peppers and onion appetizer. All the dishes were delicious and we even had leftovers to bring home. Finally, our server Ellen and the manager (Scott?) urged us to try a dessert from their dessert tray. I ordered the pistachio cheesecake and my wife ordered the chocolate ganache (?) cake. Both were excellent. Overall, my wife and I agreed that the service and food were exceptional and the fact that they reached out to us to make up for our previous visit is more than we expected but show what great owners and management do to please their clientele. A definite 5-star experience. . Sorry for the long post but in light of my previous negative post I felt the need to explain my new experience thanks to the efforts of the Etto Pasta Bar ownership and staff.

To start, my partner and I split a Caesar salad that had a delicious, lemony Caesar dressing. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan for my entree, and it was perfect. Seriously one of the best dinners I've ever had. I'm not usually a tomato lover, and I often find myself scraping excess sauce off of my Italian dishes. Here, I found myself scraping my plate trying to get more sauce on my chicken. It was incredible! My partner had the lasagna and let me take a few bites. It was also great!! Very flavorful. The corn soup is like canned food, at least tasting like . The chicken parm's source is ok but the chicken is dry, and portion of the dish like kid's meal. The dish's quality and quantity is not proportional to the price. The cost mark of it should be $$$. Normally in Italian restaurants, the bread always comes first or along with soup and salad. But we got soup and salad first and after we finished it the bread was still not coming. After we finished the bread, we had to wait for about 10 minutes. The waitress had to come to apologize. The only thing I appreciate is that the restaurant is dog friendly one.

Good Grief !! Where do I start?! At the beginning, Jim…read more.. OK, so I'm in Hanford, California doing a favor for a friend after a long day working in Los Angeles then driving 3 hours! My options??? Grabbing some snacks at the hotel or taking the spectacular advice of April and Naesha at the front desk of the Fairfield Marriott, my hotel for the night. They also said that the Steak Bites were fantastic. After a quick shower, I took the 5 minute ride to the restaurant. Independent building, fairly nondescript but classy enough. Easy access with plenty of parking. You enter in to a dark, classy Italian restaurant. A large , open dining room straight ahead, and a small (but really cute) bar to the left. I chose eating at the bar, and I'm happy I did. Raquel, the Bartender took care of me with humor, seriousness, smiles, and incredible recommendations. Ordered a nice Zin and started perusing the menu. The nightly "specials" menu looked great, but the regular menu nailed me. Before I could even begin to make decisions, their bread arrived at the table with a small bowl of marinara sauce. Maybe the best I've had... EVER! Raquel was literally describing the recipe after I raved. Should have asked for a copy! Guess I knew then that I was about to be thrilled! I ordered some of the steak bites for the ladies at the hotel, then proceeded, knowing I was about to overeat AND take a feast back with me. Always a Caesar Salad as a starter, asking for it not to be overly saturated and they nailed it. Just a personal preference and this is massively nit picky, but just a hint more anchovy paste. Raquel then steered me to Shrimp Avocado Crostini as an appetizer. It truly left me speechless, and that's virtually impossible (just ask my kids). The perfectly toasted Crostini's, thinly sliced, a smear of the avocado, then a spoonful of heaven! I mean the warm shrimp goulash, salsa, soup... heck, whatever it was, was pure perfection. Limited myself to 3 pieces, about 9 bites, and only consumed about 1/3. For my main course I opted for a chicken dish as I often do. I chose the Spicy Chicken Chipotle with Penne Pasta, Blackened Chicken, bell peppers, edamame, mango... Now as I'm already achieving some pressure on my belt, all just have a couple bites. OOPS!!! Yup, it was THAT good! And it came out hot, as it should, a thing many restaurants miss on. I was confused after my first bite because it was unnaturally sublime! I devoured it!!! Just left enough to add it to the bounty traveling back to the hotel. Truly some of the very best pasta I've had anywhere. So now I'm stuffed and she comes over and says a naughty word, DESSERT! Crème Brûlée Cheesecake sound ok? Sure, I reply. Light, fluffy, not overly sweet, luscious caramel sauce... two perfect bites and into a to go package. The food, 10/10 The Service, 10/10 (Thanks Raquel!) The Atmosphere 9/10 Don't know if I will ever get the opportunity to return, but if I do it would be my honor to have a chance at trying more of the beautiful menu. Bon A-petite' Cheers

Unfortunately, the service was very slow. I sat in the bar area during happy hour and waited over an hour for my food. While I understand happy hour can be busy, the restaurant didn't appear overly crowded, so the wait felt excessive. Communication from the staff about the delay would have made the experience much better. The food quality was the highlight of my visit, but the long wait and slow service made the overall experience disappointing. I hope they can improve their timing because our community could really use a great local dining option.
