In-N-Out is one of my top fast food burger chains. They are very consistent with food preparation and prices. The Delano location is pretty quick in getting orders out to customers. Staff is pretty efficient and friendly. Another win, this chain does not nickel and dime customers for extras (sauce packets , chilies, ketchup, etc) Restaurant is always clean. Plenty of free parking and conveniently located right off Highway 99. I ordered a cheeseburger (single), fries and chocolate shake. Man this in and out is way off from any of the ones I been too. My coworker and I ordered food he was number 5 I was number 6. We placed our order with Roger who was lackadaisical at the register, my buddy ordered to go and when I went up get and asked Roger did my buddy get it to go "he was kinda rude and just said " I don't know I wasn't paying attention" that blew my mind I've been to plenty of in and outs from so cal to nor cal and employees at the register have always been on point, professional, and ahead of the game. That was a bit of a let down and hope Roger can improve on his skills at the register. The next thing that made this rating go down was my order #6 came before 3, 5,7 those people were waiting 10 mins plus!!! I had my buddy go ans confront the employee and they had his bag and burger sitting on the counter for 10 mins never once did they give him fires, it was when he complained that they finally got his fries in the bag ( which was a bummer because his burger was cold) Aside from that the place is spacious and nice, but the employees don't meet the standards other in and out live up to, and I'm assuming this is because it's Delano a small town. I'm hoping things improve and can follow FIFO ( first in first out) as oppose to stuff in the closest bag and dishing it out to whomever. I was heading north up Highway 99 when I noticed an In-N-Out burger sign. It was almost noon. A number one double double combo with a Diet Coke sounded real good. The In -N-Out is in a very nice large commercial center in Delano. A Home Depot is next door , all kinds of businesses and lots of fast food restaurants. I was surprised the drive-through only had five cars in it. I'm not used to seeing that, I made my order and pulled up to a very friendly Ruth she put me in a good mood that made me hungrier. I then proceeded up around the corner and was greeted by Reina, who was just as friendly. She had my order ready. it was delicious piping hot fries, ice cold diet Pepsi in my outstanding double double with no cheese, It hit the spot. Today we stopped at this In n Out and it was the best experience I have had at any In n Out. I noticed an employee named Marvin. He stood out by how attentive and hardworking he was. You could tell he really cares. He was literally bringing people's orders to their tables, kept the dining area clean, handing out stickers and hats to families with kids without them having to ask, and even came by tables to see if we were doing okay or needed anything. He did this all with a huge smile on his face and it made our day. If I had $1000, I would hand it to him. This is what passion and hard work looks like. One thing we always do when traveling about through CA is stop at In and Out for a meal as it's the only fast food we eat. This trip brought us through the heart of CA and based upon travel times Delano was the point everyone wanted to stop in for a break and a meal. Unfortunately this location did not hit the in and out standard. The employee taking the order seemed like he just got hired and had no clue what anything was being asked for. We've ordered the same order almost every time at every location and this was the first time an employee read the menu options on the screen. When we got our food, my 3x0 was a 3x1. Our cheeseburger animal style didn't have cheese! The other cheeseburger with extra lettuce had no lettuce! Now it sounds like maybe we ordered it wrong or it got entered wrong, nope the receipt showed everything exactly as ordered but it came out lacking. I could see if this was a busy location but the place was nearly empty inside and had a dozen cars in the drive through at 1230 in the afternoon, prime lunch time so no excuse for the packed pressure of rush time. read more

Once at the window the employee with glasses stated they couldn't take my order due to 'their clock being ahead of time', 'breakers were already turned off', and that I wasn't in line before 1 when I was trying to get their attention at the intercom for 2 minutes with no response. I have never really had a bad experience at any in-n-out but this location goes above and beyond. They are always staffed accordingly and the employees dont look overworked. Someone always is up to make sure all the children have hats and stickers. Sometimes they even get to me before i need something. Extremely attentive!! Went to opening day of In-N-out Delano. It was raining hard, so that added to the experience. They had city police officers directing traffic and making sure people weren't jumping in front of others. There were plenty of workers out there taking orders. Since I can only get In-N-Out burgers when visiting California, I knew I had to go to one before I left. The one in Delano was close to where I was working. When I walked in I was quickly greeted a young man whose name I believe was Benny. He took my order and made sure to read it back to me to confirm it. Then I decided I wanted a couple of their t-shirts. Benny immediately went to find me the shirts I wanted. A special shout out to Joseph who noticed I had a toddler and brought over a high chair for him, brought my two kids fun hats, and overall was so genuinely kind and wonderful.
