Came here last week when I was working out of town. Read reviews and they were pretty great so I ordered a torta hence I haven't had one in a long, long time. The appearance was great, but when I took a bite into it, the taste was amazing like nothing I've had in a while. The flavor of the meat was the best I've had in a long time not to mention the bread. The green salsa they gave me were pretty good. I probably would have liked something a little more spicy, but since I was working, I didn't really wanna risk eating something super spicy. All in all I'll definitely visit this place again if I'm in the area. Definitely recommend the service was great and the ambience was good as well. read more

The food here is very authentic! Lately when craving Mexican food this has been my go to. The meat is always perfectly marinated, and fresh! My favorites are definitely the chicken tacos, the carnitas tacos and the chicken tostada. The rice and beans are also pretty good! I will say I am picky when it comes to Mexican food, because I always feel my mom and dad home made cooking is the best. But this place has some tacos that rival my dad's for sure. Birria, Burritos & Big Smiles: A Little Foodie Adventure So this past Saturday (May 31st, around 4:30 PM, to be precise), my my 18-year-old Dominick and his foodie crew finally convinced me to try this spot they've been raving about. According to them, "the burritos are bossing." Translation: Mom, you HAVE to try this place. We made the little drive from Shafter (which, by the way, was totally worth it) in search of the famed birria, and let me just say... this place did not disappoint. First impressions? The restaurant is super clean with that stylish Mexican flair think colorful walls, cool artwork that practically begs for an Instagram post, and an overall vibe that just makes you feel welcome. The cashier was super sweet and helpful. I wasn't quite sure what kind of meat was in the birria (I'm not the biggest fan of goat), so I asked her. She wasn't sure either, but instead of guessing, she asked the cook turns out it was beef! Score! Now onto the food aka the main event. My boys both went the burrito route one got carnitas, the other chicken with a $1 mozzarella upgrade (fancy!). They both gave it a solid thumbs up, which is basically Michelin star approval in teen-speak. As for me? I ordered the birria combo: 3 cheesy, beefy quesabirrias, a cozy little cup of consomé, plus rice and beans. The quesabirrias were next-level good the beef was flavorful, the cheese was legit (no plasticky stuff here!), and everything was cooked just right. I tapped out after my second one because whew they do not skimp definitivamente no son codos con la carne! The total? A little over $50 for all three meals and drinks. In this economy? That's the best you can get for the food quality. There weren't a ton of dine-in guests while we were there, but we saw a steady stream of pickup orders, so word's clearly getting out. Oh and the bathrooms were clean (yes, that matters!) and there's plenty of parking, so no stress there either. Bottom line: If you're anywhere near and craving some solid birria or a burrito that actually fills you up, this spot deserves a visit. This new taqueria was right off the 99, easy on and off. This fairly new looking establishment has lots of free parking in lot in front of restaurant and new panderia next store. The inside is colorful and casual. Unfortunately the Panderia was closed on Sunday so we did not try it. However the taqueria was open. This has authentic Mexican food. The food is flavorful and fresh. No chips given to wait as the food comes out quickly. When you enter you order at the counter, cashier was friendly. They bring the food to your table. Now the abogada taco was great. Beans were creamy and rice was flavorful. However the star of show was the torta. They get their bread from next store so the bread is so fresh! This was so delicious, one of the best tortas I have ever had. They serve the food with 3 homemade salsas but I didn't need to add any as the torta had some salsa already. It gave the torta a nice spice to it. Oh well are already planning to stop on our next roadtrip. Delicious!!! read more

Every-time I've eaten here it hasn't disappointed. The tortas are huge, and full of flavor. The burritos are hefty, as are their nachos. On top of the flavorful food, they have a great assortment of salsas at your disposal. The staff is very friendly and open minded on orders just incase you get creative With what you want. Great experience! The staff and owner were really friendly. The entire restaurant was clean, napkin dispensers were filled, and the salsas at the table were topped off. It was the little things that stood out at first. And then the food came! The SOPE is a must try! Unique and full of flavor. The carne asada tacos, which are made with premium beef, were delicious! The burrito was fantastic. The quesadilla was stuffed and yummy. Before leaving, they were just about to close the restaurant and the owner gave us a specialty drink for the road. Fortunately I was in Delano today and had a chance to try this little taco shop out. I got the carne asada burrito and it was fantastic the whole way through. The gentleman who helped me was friendly, helpful and gracious. After I ordered I sat in the dining area which was perfect for this spot. I really liked the color combinations they went with. I was brought my food and had all the time I needed to enjoy it. The only thing I thought was missing was a little side of chips. This in no way is a negative or a criticism. The guy who served me was more than generous when he prepared some fried chili's for me without an extra charge. Chips are just kind of like milk to my cereal when it comes to taco shops. Definitely more of a want than a need. The only other thing I would like to see is a hotter salsa. I really enjoyed the red, green and guac salsas. They were all very flavorful and plentiful. The birria was super tender and flavorful, only issue is it didn't come with any consomme. I should have asked for some, I see it in the pictures. Salsas were great, including an avo one that worked on everything. The place is clean, service is quick, it's relatively easy to get off and back on the 99. Perfect for the drive back home from Disneyland. And Lord knows I needed some tacos, reasonably priced and not handed to me by Pluto or Goofy, after Disneyland! read more
