Wet shrimp burrito with red sauce.
    Gema G.

I love love love this Mexican restaurant every time I come the staff is friendly and food is amazing. My go to is their wet burritos, they are massive with rice, beans, onions, cilantro and choice of protein. Since I'm pescatarian I requested to add shrimp, (this is not on the menu) but they were happy to accommodate my special request. You can definitely share this burrito with someone, since it's so big. The red sauce is my favorite it has a smoky chile taste, more flavor less spice. I also recommend their camarones a la diabla. Their menu and food is very authentic Mexican food. You won't be disappointed.

Read about their shrimp tacos Tijuana style and I had to come. It's not on the menu but an option if your looking for something different. They're pretty simple, crispy sauteed shrimp topped with shredded cabbage, lemon and a chipotle cream or crema, they are fantastic! I have not tried much else other than their beans and rice which were good. I'd highly recommend and will try other dishes. The restaurant is quiet, lots of seating available and the waitresses are quick and kind. Good spot for a meeting as well.

Good food and good service. I always get the ceviche tostada and it's really good compared to other places. The music is a bit loud for my preference but I do take out most of the time.

Huarache al pastor was delicious, good marinaded meat, good size huarache (home made with masa) tomatillo salsa to top it off! Good music and the girls are friendly

the place is right on the old main st. We had great service ! The chicken enchiladas were excellent. The chile rellenos were excellent. The carne asada french fries absolutely stole the show. They were very creative with fresh tomatos, onions, carrots, and some flavourful sauces that complimented the flavourful beef ! They get five stars just for the carne asada fries ! I will be back

the front of a mexican restaurant

Lovely surprise in this small quaint city with a good amount of Mexican restaurants to choose from. We had the Queso Birria with this thick pieces of meat... we had the carne asada wet burrito with the mild green sauce, camarones de mojo de ajo and fried fish tacos. Also had a side order of guacamole which was also flavorful.

Huarache --closeup side view of masa --all great!

Loved this restaurant! I had the huarache pollo and it was great! The chicken tasted like it was marinated or spiced--very flavorful. It had nice char marks adding to the flavor but still moist. Green salsa, cojita cheese, crema, crunchy lettuce, and ripe tomatoes on top and grilled onions all added to the variety of flavors and deliciousness. The creamy beans spread on huarache were just a small layer, so it did not overwhelm but added to the layers of flavor. The masa huarache was firm to hold all the ingredients and a bit fluffy for perfect texture. To top it all off the staff was nice, patient, and helpful! We were passing through on way home, but hope to be back.

Aguachiles--delicious!! Presentation doesn't do it justice.

We stopped here for an early dinner and were very pleasantly surprised at everything we ordered! So fresh! So good!! Here is our rundown: Carne Asada tacos: perfect! Meat was seasoned right and not too salty. Aguachiles: omg. We had never heard about this dish but chose it based on the reviews on Yelp as well as the recommendation of our very good server. It is citrusy, spicy, and incredible. Topped with fresh avocados. Don't let the presentation dissuade you. Try it. Carne Asada Fries: pretty good. The fries are close to McDonald's fries (which I love). The sanest as I. The tacos. Mexican cheese (not nacho cheese which is gross).. fresh salsa and guacamole. Our meal came with homemade tortillas! Why do so few places in Delano offer home made tortillas?!

There was some road construction out front and assumed the place would be empty, but I WAS WRONG! I was greeted immediately by a kind gentleman who worked with me in ordering exactly what I wanted. I couldn't decide between a tostada de ceviche de camarón or a tostada de jaiba (imitation crab meat) so I asked if I could have a bit of both. He agreed. I payed and waited probably less than 10 minutes for my order. They even set my tostadas on the side so they wouldn't get soggy! I did dock a star because once I made it back to the office, I opened my plate and it was a large portion of food, but the jaiba was not marinated in lime nor seasoned at all... Just dry. The camarón ceviche beneath it was perfect. I did try my best to mix it up best I could. It wasn't bad, the food was flavorful, I'm sure had I made a choice of one or the other there probably wouldn't have been any issues. Also, I was pleasantly surprised at the extra limes, salt and Valentina packets that came with it. They thought of everything: fork, plate, napkins. Loved that. The menu looks super appetizing and I will definitely be back to try more off the menu.
