I'm like everyone else. We were driving back on I-5 to the Bay Area from Los Angeles. We always check out Yelp to see what is close by and didn't want fast food. We saw that this had very good reviews and after reading some of them we decided to stop by. I ordered the Crispy Chicken Salad and one of us in my party decided on Cilantro Lime Salad and the third member of my party wanted a club house sandwich but was told they ran out of bread so she also order a Crispy Chicken Salad too. All three salads were great. Fresh lettuce, tomatoes and all fresh produce and the chicken was crispy. My friend who ordered the Cilantro Lime Salad really enjoyed it especially the cilantro lime dressing. Overall the service was pretty good and I do like the cute interior but there were a number of flies flying around. I think its because anyone opening their door lets in flies from the outside. A recommendation for those of you driving up northbound on I-5. Don't rely on Google Maps since their directions takes you longer to get there. They tell you that from I-5 to turn off on 309 and take CA-41 to CA-33 to Kings Street. Instead go up I-5 and turn off on 269. This way is much faster unless there is a back up on i-5. read more

I was driving back from LA tk the Bay area. A trip i do often. And I wanted to try something different. Sound this place halfway through the trip. A quick 20 min detour from highway 5. The town is quiet and chill. The resturant has plenty on the menu. With grilled A fried options. The service js great and very accommodating. And the food was really good and filling. The resturant has indoor and out seating with plent of TVs to watch games. Definitely coming back read more

This place is in the middle of nowhere, but if you DO come... Parking: street. I had an easy time finding a spot Food: I got the cilantro lime salad. I know they have some good looking pizzas but I really needed some greens. The salad came in a HUGE bowl and was very filling. Very tasty. Ambience: judging by pictures it seems they have remodeled. The decor is nice. Not much seating but I went on a Friday afternoon and there weren't too many people. There were plenty of to go orders though. I wished I would've taken a picture! I totally forgot because I was so hungry & by the time I remembered, we almost finished it all. However! This place is super delicious and you definitely get a bang for your buck. I ordered online for pick up - as I was planning on eating it on Kettleman, I ordered the TBA sandwich, it was super packed and delicious! The flavor & the way the sandwich made, oh man! It is exactly like how a sandwich should be. I love how it came with regular fries as well & they did not skimp on portion. I also ordered the ABC salad and it was packed in the to-go box with beautiful green avocado, and a lot of big chicken pieces. I love how they fill your to go boxes and your food. What a delicious spot in the middle of nowhere! I think about this pizza every day now! The dough was so fluffy and perfect. The pepperoni was good quality and crispy. Sauce was super tasty. About 6 miles off the freeway you will come across this gem of a cafe. The sandwiches are tasty and the bread is perfectly toasted, with the right amount of crunch. After hearing really good things about Gallery Cafe and their pizza, I finally had the opportunity and have to say it's some pretty good pizza. This is not your me n eds thin crust style pizza. This is a light, fluffy, thicker crust style pizza that's got a just underdone quality to it that really fits what their going for. One of the best Pizza's I've ever had. To me, the dough tasted like a multiple day rise. The dough was pillowy for my personal combo. Nice caramlization, and they had some awesome condiments to go with it. I liked the Habanero sauce on my crust. Then the Tres Leche cake to round it all out. Was looking for a place for lunch on the way back home to the Bay Area during a trip to LA. Found this place on Yelp and it had great reviews and the photos of the food looked good. It was a bit off the main thorough-way I-5, but was tired of eating at the normal fast food joints or typical roadside flair. Glad we dropped by as everything we ordered was really good! Cheeseburger had a nice charbroiled flavor, french fries were extra crispy with a light batter coating. The bread on the Buffalo chicken sandwich was soft with optional side salad with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions. Breadsticks were more like a pizza with cheese, garlic, and butter, very delicious. With that in mind will definitely need to order a pizza next time. Even saw an outdoor pizza oven in the back patio. Also ordered a mango smoothie, so refreshing on a hot 95 degree day! read more

Hidden gem tucked way in the City of Avenal. Left the Interstate to check out thanks to fellow Yelpers. What a treat! The portion size is large so we all had leftovers. Recommend sharing if you don't want to have extras on the way. Patio seating spaced out for distancing. My family and I were looking for a lunch place to stop and get a quick bite. We stumbled upon this cute little restaurant. It is super cute and cozy inside. There where some flies inside but that was the only downside It is a little small so we had to move some tables together to accommodate all six of us but once we sat down we all immediately Felt cozy. The service was very good and the server was super kind and sweet. The pizza was absolutely amazing and super filling. Food was good. However, employee got my sandwich wrong completely. I order turkey pesto, was given a turkey bacon avocado. When I mentioned it to the cashier her response was "just take off the bacon and avocado". It still wouldn't have been the sandwich I ordered. I am allergic to avocado and mentioned that to her. She proceeded to grab the food and turn around, wasn't thrilled I asked them to remake my food, since it wasn't even the sandwich I originally ordered. And when given they did not offer ranch (willing to pay for ran by the way) but should've been offered to buy during the order process. This is a nice little cafe in a quiet town very much off the beaten path. They have a nice variety of sandwiches and other items to choose from. Driving from LA to SF and so happy that we found this little spot on the way!!! Such a gem in what feels like the middle of nowhere. I was honestly wildly impressed by the food quality here. The sandwich was phenomenal and it was a great portion. All of the veggies were super fresh and the bread was INSANE...so soft on the inside with a perfect crunchy crust. The fresh avocado, onions, tomato and lettuce was spot on. My boss ordered the Bacon Jalapeno Burger and stated the grilled jalapeno's were to hot for a white guy. It was later suggested by the owner to order them seedless. After our 30 minute ride back to the office he is still crying about it. Another coworker ordered the Turkey Pesto Sandwich, it was huge and loaded with meat and fresh veggies. He stated the bread had excellent texture, crunchy crust with a soft center. Last coworker ordered the Pizza Bread, this guy goes of script often and got exactly what he ordered Pizza Bread, that is probably best left for the kids menu.
