I walked in yesterday for the first time to get a gel manicure. Never have I ever had an entire gel manicure FALL off my nail. Typically, gel manicures you have to scrape off after weeks. My nails have bubbles - and chips already. Update - 4 "gel" nails fell off without me even noticing. The rest easily peeled off like stickers.

I was a walk-in and requested dip manicure and Kevin took me right away without delay. He's excellent with attention to detail I highly recommend him. I'll definitely be back.!

Look no further!!

Try AQ Nails!! LEE is amazing. She did exactly what I requested. I have gone to her for years and trust that she will always beautify my hands. I see her every 4-6 weeks and am always very pleased with her work and the fact that my nails last so long. If you are looking for a great nail salon, AQ is it. If you're looking for an amazing technician, Lee is your girl!! If you can't get on her schedule - Tim is equally amazing!!! They accept walk-in but I've learned its best to book an appointment. All of the technicians are always busy!!

Lee understands the assignment every time! She is very patient, kind and treats her customers well. Lee takes her time and is very precise. My nails last long and still look good after 4 weeks even when they grow out!

This salon is by far THE BEST! My daughter and I LOVE this place and the nail technicians that work here! It's always clean; the techs are friendly; the music is soothing; and the pedicure chairs are comfortable. I love Tina, who does my nails and feet...her attention to detail is wonderful and I am extremely happy with the work she does. My daughter loves Tim and the attention to detail he gives her and her nails. His nail art, as you can see below, is the best I have ever seen. He always goes above and beyond for her as he does for all of his clients. The color selection, the prices, the quality of work, the time they spend with you, and the services they offer are by far the most I have gotten or seen at any other nail salon. We love all of them...Leigh, Diane, Tina, Lana, Tim....you can't go wrong with any of these wonderful people! You won't be disappointed!! Thank you, AQ Nails, for taking such great care of Kate and me !

Nails by Lee

My nail technican is "Lee" and she is the absolute best! I've been her customer for 6+ years and referred many people as I often receive compliments on my nails. Lee is an experienced and detail-oriented tech and i rate her skillset an A+. The shops atmosphere is average & lacks the ambiance. My 5star rating is solely based my experience with Lee.

Acrylic all over.

I have been going to AQ nails since I moved to Manassas and after several disappointing visits, the worst being today, I will not be going back. I unfortunately do not know the name of the nail tech who did my nails today but I had the worst experience with her. I was the only customer in the shop and it isnt hard to see why. She did not put any care into my nails, used way too much liquid when putting the acrylic on my nails which caused the acrylic to run everywhere all over my fingers. I'm still picking acrylic off of my skin. Then when filing my nails, she filed more skin than nail. She acknowledged and apologized that she was hurting me, but I still left with 4 of my fingers bleeding. I looked down and there was blood on the nail file. Completely unacceptable. Not to mention she proceeded to use nail polish remover on the wounds. At the end of my visit she nickeled and dimed me for everything shortening my nails down and repairs. Technicians don't typically assess those fees, although I understood they can, however given the state of my hands after she was through with them and the fact that I was a repeat customer I felt she could have waived out of courtesy. Nonetheless for the first time in my life I did not tip. I went to this nail shop out of convenience and proximity but I will travel further and spend more to have a more enjoyable experience and quality nails.

As soon as I left this salon I considered going to the one across the street to get my nails reshaped and have the polish changed.

My experience at AQ nails was very underwhelming. I selected this salon because it is close to my home. I was looking for a specific design/ style. When I called the woman I spoke with said they did do that style (chrome nails). I showed the woman working on my nails a picture as an example and she said she could deliver. The product I received looks nothing's like what I wanted. On top of the skill set being under par there are bumps and dents in the acrylic and even pieces of lint stuck in the gel polish. That was the first and last time I will be a customer at AQ nails. Ladies, please read these reviews this salon has the worst reviews in this area.

Ask for Lee she does a great job.

I only give it 5 stars because of Susan (she's the owner) she does the best work there. Wouldn't trust anyone else.

came across this place thanks to a card that was left on my car in the Walmart parking lot a few…read moreweeks back. Thought maybe I should check it out. I called ahead to make an appointment at 1:30pm and was greeted and sat right away when I arrived. I picked the sea salt pedicure and the service seemed to skip a part of the cuticle care, past experiences I've witnessed salons add a paste like product... this place didn't. otherwise it all seemed well done. My only complaint was that it was very rushed. The employee kept looking back at the clock, and made a phone call. My whole pedicure was not even 20minutes long. By 1:50pm I was already sitting at the drying chair . Never had I ever experienced a pedicure this fast. I guess if you're tight on time this is the place, but as for someone who has pedicures for self care, and wants to enjoy her time. This was not it. As for the pedicure polish itself, 9/10.

One of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had…read more The nail technician initially quoted me a price, only to increase it midway through the service, claiming it would take more polish since I wanted to leave the nails as is (uncut and unshaped). Naturally, I asked questions to understand the reasoning behind the additional charge. Instead of offering a simple explanation, she became extremely defensive and accused me of "giving them a hard time" simply for asking questions. Apparently, expecting transparency about pricing is now considered difficult behavior. The situation escalated to the point where she refused to continue my service and literally told me to leave. All because I wanted to understand why the price had suddenly changed. The level of arrogance, entitlement, and unprofessionalism was astonishing. Since when does a business get to change its pricing midway through a service and then act offended when a customer asks for clarification? Asking questions is not disrespectful. Expecting an explanation is not giving someone a hard time. And providing basic customer service is not a favor you're doing for the customer. There's a difference between confidence and ego, and unfortunately, this experience was a perfect example of the latter. Absolutely unacceptable.
