I can't tell you enough about how hard it is to find a good nail tech for short acrylic nails. Her name is Steffi and I'm so sad she is due in December but I hope she will refer me to someone equally as great. I got a shade 88 in Gel. I have an acrylic overlay on my natural nail. Wow wow wow! This location is a great gem! I had forgotten to get my toes done for an upcoming wedding, and i called to see if they could take me at the last minute. I ran in here last minute, I'm talking the last hour to get a pedicure! They were super kind and took care of me with a basic pedicure. Even though I was last minute, they did not rush the process at all. The location is clean and has plenty of color options. I could not give 5 stars due to some of the skin on my big toe being cut and now hurts to even the touch of my shoe. Though this is the case, I would still go back and just communicate what happened this time so that they are cautious about it. I asked her to design my hands and she did it on her own creation and it turned out beautiful as you can see from the pictures. Bravo!!! Love her!!! Everyone in the shop is very friendly and helpful. I am new to the area, Pretty Nails is the closest nail salon so I decided to give it a try. Not the best but not the worst! I went in for a mani-pedi and they were able to take me right away! The lady set up the chair and I was seated before I knew it! The water was on the cold side of warm but the jets were nice. They had the game show network on which I enjoyed watching. The pedicure began, she clipped and shaped my toenails and worked on the cuticles. She used a scrub and rock for the calluses which was nice then came warm towels and the message. The message felt amazing! The salon has a small selection of pedicures to chose from, each including more than the latter. I had a basic pedicure I believe. I did have an issue getting the right color, make sure when you pick out a color you tell them the correct number not the name on the bottle as they seem, or my lady seemed to only look at the number after I told her the name. My manicure started and was quick. She shaped and trimmed my nails and began the shellac gel process. She said she could make my nails look nice and she did! I love the way they cane out! At the end of the manicure she applied some cuticle oils and messaged some lotion into my hands and arms some. The salon seems to offer a full selection of services, including paraffin wax on your hands and feet. While not the best I've experienced it is not the worst and the price was not bad. I've been coming here for over 10 years now and today will be my last. In recent years they have continued to go down hill in their quality and they do not respect your time. I've made appointments and it's a hit or miss that they will honor the time they give you within a reasonable period. Today waited 50 minutes after my given appointment time with no apology besides "they're busy." Sad place to be called "pretty nails". Their customer service is a 0/10. Every time I come here I make an appointment and I still wait 45 mins. Today I had it, I went in at 410 and my appointment was 415, the guy said a 30 min wait !? I got my stuff and was ready to leave and they all started chatting and now all of a sudden I'm ready to be seated. I had an appointment with Linda...(came to her my first time she's great. My second time I was with Amy she's great too but wasn't working today). Linda didn't do my nails today. Some extremely elder lady did my nails she started off my filing my nails with a black nail file that had yellow residue all over it and all over her sticky gloves. She didn't push my cuticle back at all she soaked it and then took the cuticle cutter to my skin once and acted like she did something LOL my cuticles are very bad today that's what urged me to go. Anyway I asked her to trim my nails & it took ten mins ... Not sure how or why. I asked her to go back and redo my cuticles and again noting changed what so ever. The gel manicure at the end of this was all over my fingers and all over my cuticles. She didn't even ATTEMPT to change this. So with all this I told myself to relax and just wait for this hand massage that everyone gets when they finish a gel manicure instead she told me to go pay. I got up to the register and the young boy asked me how it was and I showed him my horribly done nails and he said I'm sorry. There was no effort to even try to fix them or ask someone else to assist. If you are okay with horrible service and dirty utensils but are willing to pay the price go there. I went in tonight for a quick mani and wax. It was 7:10 when I walked in and the closing time states 8pm. Anyways, I was getting a simple polish color done, the nail tech messed up and did not bother to fix it but she just covered it up and rushed me back to get my eyebrows waxed. She did not even let me wait for it to dry until she noticed I was upset and told me I could sit and put my nails under the UV light. I was basically kicked out at 7:45 with all of them wearing their coats ready to go. I love coming here but this experience did not convince me to continue to come. I understand they are ready to go but if they are not willing to keep their doors open until 8pm then why even have that as their closing time. read more

My nails look "OK" (I got the powder french tip w a little pink) I can still see the line from the last set so it still looks like I need a fill but the biggest part is she charged me 55 which included fake nails she added 1 nail to my thumb and still charged me the additional 10 dollars. Plus she gave me the powder french tip. After she was done she told me how I should do Gel next time because its quicker and cheaper to do (I'm thinking we pondered over that price list for a good 5 mins) Like I posted in another review of nail salons. I do not want to feel like I'm being swindled I don't want to feel like I walked into a room full of salesmen trying to sell me a car. Getting your nails done should be a relaxing soothing experience. I didn't give her a tip in my opinion 10 bucks for fake nails dollar a nail she fixed one nail I paid her the full 55 she got a 9 dollar tip BTW seems like making appointments doesn't matter. A lady had an appointment at 430 and she still had to wait almost 30 mins she didn't know this but it was because a walk-in came right before her. I have found my new go-to mani and pedi spot. Small, intimate (little crowded but not uncomfortable) and a seemingly older clientele (35+). All of the staff members were extremely friendly and they do not talk amongst themselves, they communicate with their clients. A nice refreshing change. It's not the most glamorous spot but it gets the job done and at an amazing price and rate. If you are into those lavish spas, this isn't the spot for you. I walked into Pretty Nails and had no wait time for a Gel manicure which was nice. My manicurist seemed nice but she spoke little English so it was at times hard to communicate what I wanted. It bothered me that I couldn't ask any questions about the gel they used as I haven't used any gels before today. The color options were limited but I'm assuming that's because there just aren't that many options on the market yet, but I had to settle for a color I don't love. I asked for poke-dots or stripes or any cool design but ended up with just one basic flower. I typically do my own nails with designs so from experience I consider this a very basic/boring design but with the language barrier I couldn't seem to express what I was looking for. The nail coloring is ok, it's not streaky but I didn't get full coverage on all my nails which I didn't notice till I was back home. Over all the cost was average (30 dollars for gel manicure) and the place has plenty of TVs to watch. It felt clean and no waiting for a walk in was nice, but I'd have been much happier with a manicurist I could effectively communicate with. The manicure itself was not something I'd want to do again but it should do for my weekend so I guess it's ok. read more

I used to LOVE this place. Mindy used to do my and neice's nails. The last few times I came here I would make an appoint and would ALWAYS have to wait. One time I had an appointment and waited 30 mins. The last time was 2 weeks ago. Mindy was late of course. I sat down. I told her the shape I wanted etc. I think one of the other techs was wokring on someone and messed up so she called Mindy over to see. She eneded up getting up twice during my appointment. This place is amazing! I have been here 4 times, 3 for fills and color change and once for just a color change. All 4 times has been great service! I am still pretty new to the area and was looking for a place that wasn't charging $50 for fills or cutting up my fingers and cuticles. The ladies are very nice and sweet. I make appointments and I have to wait about 10-15 mins, but it's not that serious. Even when I don't make appointments I wait 10-15 mins. I would recommend this place to my friends! read more

I will never take my daughters here again. I use to like this place. Both of them and their friend, along with dad, were there yesterday to get nails done for a party this weekend. My oldest daughter said to them that my sister and I want all white acrylics and regular pedicure. Slight difficulty understanding the technician, but thought she was pretty clear. Before she knows it, they are doing a gel pedicure at an additional cost of $39 to the bill. Of course dad doesn't get it and just pays the bill. I'm disappointed they took advantage. I used to get the regular acrylic but it never stayed looking nice for now so I switched it up. Instead of paying more for UV gel I get acrylic gel & it looks just as good! I have been coming to Pretty nails for almost a year now. My nail technician is Pho and she is wonderful! She takes her time and is very detail oriented. I usually come in every two weeks to get the Shellac manicure and Pho does an excellent job with the application. She is very personable and always fits me in!! I definitely recommend this place. They are clean, professional and their prices are very good. The only recommendation I have is to order some new CND Shellac colors. Was told I had to get gel polish because regular polish with a gel topcoat would take to long. (Should have been my.tip off, rushing me out the door before they even sit me down) The woman who did my nails cut them way too short, and didnt ask how much legth off I wanted, just went full in. So unless I wanted to pay more, nothing could be done. Then she drilled so hard, my nails burned, and i know this can happen because of frictions from the drill bit. But when I repeatedly pull my hand back saying ouch and no change, not ok. Next I learn the color shown for the gel glotter i wanted for the accent nail isn't how it really applies. It needed a base color or additional layers. When asked to make the color darker, she audibly sighed because she had to do a soingle extra layer. Lastly, the bill. ON THEIR SITE, is a $3 off $30 coupon. I present it, and am given a slew of reasons to reject it. "It's not ours", "not this location", "the owner isn't here to authorize it". I'm freaking done. I'm like that doesn't matter, this is an offer on YOUR SITE for THIS LOCATION. Don't post offers if you don't back them, that's illegal. In the end they gave in all applied the discount. If it were just one of these issues, or pehaps an apology, I'd have let is slide. But their behaviour and methods are ridiculous. So neither myself or anyone I know or work with will EVER be going here. read more
