Tony is a lovely person. But his work is not so lovely. He sure talks the talk. But he was way more interested in the football game on his phone.... One nail had to be fixed before I walked out the door.
I was referred to ZEN Nails by a colleague and I am so happy with their services. Hailey has been doing my nails for several months now. She is a lovely, young woman. Her skills are amazing and she is very precise and meticulous doing her job. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming! The salon is beautiful and clean! They offer you a cold beverage and make you feel so relaxed. I fall asleep all the time when Hailey does my manicure. She probably thinks I have a medical condition. I don't, I am just that relaxed and comfortable! Pricing is the same as other salons. It's the atmosphere and staff that keep me coming back!
Been coming here for almost a year, amazing service every time. From the moment I walk in the door to when I checkout, all employees are so welcoming and kind. Im horrible with name but I think either owner/manager did my nails this time and it looks aaahh-mazing. Also taking all safety precautions for COVID-19 at every tech's desk, pedicures are a seat or two apart from one another customers. Thank you Zen Nail Salon , will be back soon!
Back again (what a surprise) with a vision in mind. And Viden delivered. I was looking to do something cute and fun for Halloween. And look at my little Ghostie tips! I'm quite excited to show these off for the next few weeks. Come through and see the staff at Zen for your spooky needs!
Went to ZEN for a SNS French Mani which was a big mistake! They turned out extremely sloppy and uneven. I am going on a 3 week vacation and was hoping for something super simple yet perfect.
I usually come here for pedicures and they do well, but today I came for SNS with tips, something my usual nail salon doesn't have. They did it all wrong... the tips are too narrow for my natural nails, and I even had to correct the technician on a couple nails saying so. She buffed them too much and cut my skin in a few places, and burnt me several times and didn't show remorse or go softer when I asked her to. After 3 coats of powder, she accidentally scraped some of the layers off creating a dragged look. I brought it to her attention and asked her to fix it and she said "no it's fine" and continued on her merry way.. then after buffing the top coats for smoothing she scraped off MORE color and had to redo a layer of it for one nail. This happened on 2 nails but she only fixed one. They also used the wrong top coat. She applied one that needed UV curing (defeats the point of SNS) and now that I'm in the car, the corner is already smudged because of it. Really don't know why I paid $50 for luxury nails and it looks like I paid $15 in someone's basement... good pedicures though..
Valerie did a great job definitely will be going back. It did not take long to get a fill and two nails replaced.
I had a favorite salon in Fairfax city so when I moved down to Manassas I was a little disappointed and I missed my regular salon. I came here for nothing too fancy. Just a traditional pedicure and gel manicure. I'm blown away by how kind everyone there is. Once they seat you they ask you if you'd like a water or soda. They also do heated towels with the pedicures and manicures which I appreciated. The back room is so pretty and relaxing and while you're there they pamper you and take their time. I've been to so many places where they rush through everything and it looks like I did it at home. You can tell during every step the ladies there take their time. Pricewise I don't believe they're any different from most nail salons. For the service I'm willing to pay whatever they want. I'm so pleased with the outcome and I will definitely be coming back.
After living in Manassas for about 6 years, I've always seen this nail salon but never visited. I went today with my toddler to get pedicures and full set for myself. From the moment we walked in, the staff was welcoming. They made us feel right at home, even singing and playing with my daughter. I think customer service is important so for this reason I am giving 4 stars. I think the shape of my nails could be a little better but I still recommend. I will be returning.
Loved them! Clean, modern, very friendly and polite...showed Bebe a picture and she made it happen for me . Will definitely be returning!
I strayed from my regular place for a long overdue manicure, and I regret it. This place is beautifully decorated and very nice, but I'm actually on my way to have my freshly done nails redone because the end product was very undesirable. There is 0 cuticle care. Ladies, you know how fresh it feels to see your brand new hands once you get done with a manicure. They didn't touch my cuticles at all, or clear out any of the "gunk." You know, the glue, dust, and crap that ends up under your fresh tips that other places shave out with a tool so your fingers aren't disgusting. I was in and out in under 45 minutes and definitely felt like (and looks like) they did a botched rush job. I took some pics so you can see for yourself. Very disappointed but I've learned a lesson that to correct, I won't go to the same place that didn't do a great job to begin with.
I have come here multiple times. Unfortunately, one bad time is enough to ruin the whole experience for me. I had come in asking if they could take me immediately and the lady at the front (Val) said it would be a 10-15 minute wait. Me not being in a rush, agreed on waiting and was received by Tony. Tony then asked if I had any reference photo which I then replied with yes and showed him Pink French Tip Acrylics with 3D flowers. I was told they cannot do 3D flowers despite it being one of the most commonly used nail designs. I then pulled up another picture of nails (photo 2) I wanted which they then agreed they could do. Tony must've not been experienced enough to do nail work like that because I was then left to wait for Val to come do my nails. That was no problem. During my time with Val, she was kind but I felt as she was rushing on my nails, even being a bit harsh with the filing. After continuously showing my reference photo, she did the colors and marble design that I wanted. All was okay from there. Until the gems came on. She separated them so much in an unorderly, messy pattern. I think she noticed her bad work because she kept trying to look at them from a distance attempting to fix them. I then took a quick peak at them and it looked NOTHING like the picture. (Photo 1) I understand if they didn't have the same gems as the picture but at least put it together neatly and nicely, or just tell me you can't do the gems! I was already upset. I told her if she could take it off and replace it to then which she just rushed again. It still didn't look good. At this point, I was like "Ok, whatever. I'm going to have to pay $80 for these nails I hate." I then came across my friend to which encouraged me to speak out. Because even she was surprised at how ugly my nails were. I then asked if I could get a refund, or some money back, or at least get the gems off and fixed. I was told yes but I needed to wait. WHAT? After your terrible nail job you want me to wait?? I was sitting down waiting for about 10 minutes when I then stood up and asked if they were going to do it because I needed to go. Val finally took it upon her to do my nails and said she would be returning $20 for the gems. I was okay with that. I will never come back again.

Amaaaazing! This was my first time at Zen, and I just got a gel manicure and it looks flawless. Also got my eyebrows done. The technician was absolutely fantastic and my brows have probably never looked so nice! Definitely making this my go-to beauty spot. Update: another flawless gel mani, this time done by Piyang. She's done my last two manis and both have been absolutely perfect. read more

This was my first time visiting as I'm on the hunt for a new salon. Everyone was so kind and helpful! It was definitely busy but they took the time to accommodate everyone. I love the neighborhood feel. Prices are good and I like that you can book appointments online. I'll definitely be going back! This is a hidden gem. read more
Came to get a pedi here a while back and now returning for another. I got a runners pedi the first time and a regular spa the second. He first time the tech spent an hour wit me. I was happy she didn't rush and that she did every step with care. My toes looked great! I was happy with the cut and the paint. My toes are bad today so let's see where this leads. I am wondering if it will be up to par as last time. Will say I came by myself last time and it was quiet except music. Disappointed this time because the techs are talking to themselves and I had hoped it would be more relaxing. The tech did say I didn't need a spa because my feet were not bad. I hope they come out soft and nice hydrated because flip flops and wedges have made callouses and trouble spots. read more

this is the worst salon experience ever.. i had gone to zens to de-stress myself and make myself feel better, i had high hopes until the lady doing my toes was being rude and unsanitary.. she had tried to hide the fact my toe was bleeding by distracting me meanwhile the tub water was full of blood, she then tried to use the same bloody utensils on my friend after she had finished with me, which is totally unacceptable and unsanitary! i had told her that i was unsatisfied and she didn't care to say im sorry she just gave me a stank look.. id give this place zero stars if i could! read more

I most definitely love this nail salon. Even though it isn't right up the street from my house, I do not mind taking the drive. Everyone is very friendly and great at what they do. I have had Thy and the guy (I am unsure of his name unfortunately) do my coffin style nails. They both did a great job and I loved my nails by the end of the visit. The pedicure area is very relaxing, with dimmed lights, nice music and rainbow color changing water! I got the coconut treatment and it was lovely. This is my new nail salon and ironically before trying them out I found them on Yelp! If you want to have a great, relaxing nail experience that will have you leaving the salon with beautiful nails and toes, go to Zen(: read more

This place is nice and clean inside. They were very polite. They had very many selections for colors and designed included the magnetic nail polish (cat eye) which ended up looking great! The lady who did mine always asked me if I liked what she did (shape, cut down, etc) and most of it was great. But I told her I wanted them cut down only a little, and she cut over half of it down... she asked me if it was okay afterward, of course I said yes because at the point it was too late. So the only thing I dislike about my nails is the length. Other than that, I'm extremely satisfied. read more

Talk about an incredible service! Had the pleasure of Ms.Tila doing my shellac nails and she did a wonderful job. I chose french tips with 1 added gem of my choosing per hand. They've got a huge selection of small and large gems all assorted in shapes, colors and designs so ask for some extra time and remember, choose wisely. Don't get gems too large because trust me, they'll hit everything. In terms of choosing a color: oh honey, take your time! The world is your oyster so peek at every single shade they've got because I'm sure you'll be searching for a color you've seen on instagram and dying to capsulate that perfect nail color to share with all your friends. So cheers, (no pun intended) to their complimentary drinks or wine and you way to zen. She also shaped my nails since they were so long to begin with and even gave me a sugar scrub that exfoliated my hands fairly well. Overall, this place is very clean and worth every trip. Will bring my momma next time I come in. I can't wait to try the pedicures here! I wish they offered student discounts though. read more

Very nice!!!!!! Brand new salon in Manassas area...about 3 months. The service from the time I walked in was impeccable! Offered me something to drink, did a fantastic job on my nails and eyebrow wax and the decor/music gives a nice serene vibe! And to top it off, I got a relaxing hand massage after my fill!! I will be back. read more

I used to come here all the time to get my nails done and this time has probably been the worst. I asked for a certain nail technician to do my nails. And I got a completely different person. To top that off three days after I did my gel nails the color starts to turn brown. Mind you I got a lavender purple color. To top that off my color started to chip off which sucked because I paid 55 with tip. I'm very unsatisfied and this was my go to nail place. read more

Not only is the decor beautiful and calming but the staff is wonderful. They always do such an amazing job with my nails! I've gotten a pedicure with them before as well and the area they do it in is so calming and relaxing. They have many pedicure packages to choose from. They play great music and usually have a tv show playing with subtitles to entertain you. read more

BEST nail salon in Manassas. My acrylic nails actually last 3 weeks, no chipping and color stays intact. They're gentle and love making the customer happy. Salon was recommended by a friend and I have not looked back ever since! Prices run about the same as other salons in the Manassas area excpet Zen nails actually does an amazing iobFast service and they make you feel welcomed. (Picture is 3 weeks!) read more

I get my nails done every few weeks. I have to have acrylic nails due to vitamin deficiencies and my natural nails being so weak. I am known for breaking nails constantly however, that all stopped when I started going to zen. They do an amazing job!! Too notch quality! The facility is very clean and staff is very nice and speaks English well. They are not snooty and even help with suggestions on colors and design. This is the ONLY nail salon that can actually do real designs in this area. Show them a Pinterest picture and they will replicate it 100%. It's amazing. I drive from Warrenton to get my nails done here and I do not plan on going to any other nail salon. Thank you so much Zen nails!! read more
