I wanted to get my nails done after work and I came across this place. I walked in and immediately got taken bacK for a pedicure. I love the dim lighting in thay area. The lady doing my nails was so gentle and gave an incredible massage ( I wear heels practically every day). Moving on to the manicure, I had glitter gel polish on from before and they removed all of the glitter (most places paint over it). She took her time to file my natural nails so they're all even and shaped. There was no polish on my skin. And the massage .. oh my goodness. PERFECTION. Now to see if the polish lasts. read more

I have been going to the salon for two years. They get to know you and treat you with great respect and kindness. I have had great pedicures of all types, stone, lavender, citrus and others. Finally! A local nail salon that knows about the SNS top coat! After my primary nail salon, Paris Nail and day spa changed owners, I wanted to try another place. Nothing really wrong there but the quality has seemed to change which is expected with new ownership. I stumbled across Q nails that was closer to me and also had better reviews. This quaint nail shop is tucked in a shopping center and is very close to my home. I read some reviews and decided to give this one a try. I really think the shopping center is lucky because every store I've gone to here or every business has been exceptional. I bought my wedding dress at the local Tangs, We love BonChon, The diner and the thai restaurant are really good, and there's a Paisanos Pizza which we go to all the time. So the convenience of finding a nail shop here was awesome. Don't let this small shopping center nail salon fool you. The quality was very good. To my surprise better than my previous nail salon. If you don't have an appointment there maybe a wait. I didn't have anything to do so I didn't mind waiting. But I'm glad I did. The salon is small and quaint so it seems a family owns this one for sure and works there. My pedicure was amazing and I did my typical SNS. I love this nail system and it's all I want. I used to work in Albany New York and they call it ANC nails and that's how I was introduced to it years ago. They didn't use a gel as the top coat. Coming home it was hard to find a Virginian nail shop that had heard of it and that uses the top coat that comes with the system and not a gel coat. No in the difference is key and all the nail salons I had went to used only the gel coat. when I did my nails in New York the nails would last 3 to 4 weeks versus when it was a gel top coat it lasted 2 weeks at best. I had given up on finding a nail salon that knew about it and figured maybe in a year or so it would catch on in Virginia. So I've been having gel coats on top of my dipping powder since I moved back. I was quite taking a back when I learned this nail salon knew about the actual top coat for the SNS system. I was excited. They they turned out BEAUTIFUL. And I have a feeling that my nails will last a long time. Goodbye Paris and hello Q nails. read more

Pedicure service was super rushed, skipped several steps, barely clipped my cuticles. I think she actually removed more dead skin from around my toes AFTER she dried my feet and saw how terrible my feet still looked. Even the polish job was rushed and half assed, one of my big toes looked like I had 2 weeks of growth already!! It was my first time going to this salon and I wanted medium/short length almond shape acrylic nails. They said $5 extra for shaping but not for length because it wasn't long. They still charged me an extra 3$ for I don't know what and didn't tell me. The man who was doing my nails did a very poor job. I am not one to be too picky and pick out small things or leave bad reviews but my nails look so thick and the polish job was done so poorly. He barely filed the bottom(inside) leaving areas of it so thick and clumpy and put the powder so far from my cuticle making it look grown out within 2 days of getting my nails done. I can see my actual nail from the sides even though I have acrylics. I am so disappointed in what I got done everyone who saw my nails were shocked I got them done at a salon because of the poor job. read more

I stopped in for a repair of three of my nails. I have the dip powder over my natural nails I wanted to save them, if possible. The gentleman did an EXCELLENT job and in a short period of time. He was extra careful since where they were broken caused me great pain. I bet you can't tell which ones were repaired. P.S. Stopped her after work one afternoon & so glad I did. They sat me right away for a mani/pedi. I was convinced to try the SNS dip for my nails instead of gel polish. The gentleman who did my pedicure was AMAZING. He spent a lot of time massaging my feet and legs, it was great. He also did my SNS and did a great job! I love how they came out. I LOVE this salon!!! I've been returning for a few months after a year of going to various places trying to find the perfect fit between awesome customer service and awesome nails. They aren't fake nice they are genuinely kind. I've been to salons with great customer service but not quality work or vice versa. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE. I went and got a gel pedicure. The lady had my toe nails all different lengths and shapes. I asked her over and over to fix the shape but she pretended she didnt understand. I told the owner I was not statisfied with the work and they still charged me $86 for a pedicure. NEVER AGAIN. They aren't consistent with services. The initial visit was amazing but the follow up has been sub par at best. I asked for the same service option that I had gotten be previously and the lady this time rushed and left out almost half of the service. And here I was, thinking I'd found a great waxing place. Nope! I went there initially for my first ever bikini wax about two months ago and my experience was great! The girl who took car of me, Rita, was awesome. She was sweet and patient with me, and very thorough. So I took her card with plans to return. So, I returned today for my appointment with Rita, only to find that Rita doesn't even work there anymore!! Why would they make an appointment for me with Rita and not tell me that?? Anyway, I got someone else who was just ok. I mean, she was nice, but not half as thorough as Rita was. Dammit, now I have to search for another place. Don't waste your money on the waxing here. They had no idea I had an appointment and were SWAMPED with people. I told her that someone answered my call and set the appointment....She told me there is nothing she can do, I can come back in an hour. Never went back. How can you treat a loyal customer that way? I came in for a pedicure and it was a great experience. They took my temperature immediately for COVID and I had to sign a form to ensure I haven't had symptoms over the last 14 days. I saw the workers cleaning and they all have a "barbicide" certification which has something to do with cleaning for covid and professional beauty salons. Anna was very thorough and a great technician. I even messed up my polish and I came back to get it fixed: they did an additional coat on all my toes and fixed the nail I messed up. Had an appointment here for two weeks for my friends bridal shower. When we get there they didn't have enough people scheduled for all of us to get pedicures. So I had to miss out on that because we were running out of time. Then when the bride asked her nail guy to change the color because after seeing a finger or two she didn't think it would match her dress, he rolled his eyes at her. At the end, we wanted to pay everything with card and then they proceed to tell us we cannot give a tip with a card. Wish that was advertised somewhere more because I always tip on my card but luckily I had some cash on me. My boyfriend and I went in for pedicures on a Sunday morning. One of the ladies greeted us, asked what colors we wanted and took us to the pedicure chairs. Where we sat. And waited. And waited. It took me 45 minutes of soaking to finally get someone to take care of me. After I said I was just going to leave. My poor boyfriend it took him almost A HOUR of soaking his feet for ANYONE to get him. Their excuse? They were short staffed and there's traffic. Cool.
