I did not have a good experience at this location. To start with the nail technician was not able to understand my ask and needs. I asked her to cut my nails round but she did square and then she started filing it to make it round rather than cutting it. I had chosen the most expensive pedicure at their location and even that did not feel like a luxury one. Somehow a lot of customers started coming in and the person doing my nails started rushing and asked me to sit at the dry bar to get my nails dry. She did not even let me check them. They did an amazing job, very meticulous and super reasonably priced compared to other salons. Literally the worst place ever. So I was there last week for an appointment at 10:00AM when they open. I was standing outside in the 90 degree weather for 1/2 hour. They did not get there until 10:30AM. It was ridiculous. When they got there...I could not understand them and the Manager was "conveniently" not around. The guy who was supposed to do my nails for my appointment was not even one of the people there. I literally had to wait forever still. They finally called the Manager Lee who was again no where to be found. She was so NOT HELPFUL. I figured for all the issues and the wait they would offer a pedicure on the house or AT LEAST a discount. Nothing, they could not do anything. I was already there for about 1.5 hours at that point and finally got in a seat by 11:15AM. I got no discount no coupon. Lee did nothing, she kept saying, if I was there there would be issues. I don't care if you weren't there, it doesn't matter....the company should still be able to run without you there. And if customers aren't satisfied with waiting to open ON A SCHEDULED appointment time....give them a discount at least!!!!!!! LEE WAS TERRIBLE. I DON'T CARE if she does nails well, she cannot run a business. Oh by the way she did ask if I wanted to speak to owner(who never comes in) and I said yes and then immediately after she said "oh you can't talk to him on the phone though". SO shady! This place is not good and should not be in business. Do not support this local nail salon as it's the one of the worst places I've ever been!!!! Seriously, don't go here. This place sucks!! The customer service sucks, especially the manager Lee and her boyfriend Tim whatever he is to her. I made a mistake on one of my nails and she got all mad. Her comment was like see this why I don't want to do this. I think I got French chrome set. She told me to put in a machine to let it dry and I accidentally touched the side of it while taking it out. I apologized to her, but she still had an attitude. Paul is the only one that is nice, and his girlfriend also has an attitude. I guess they are all related somehow. I tried saying hi to her but no response. I know she heard me too. Yesterday (8-15-24), I called to make an appointment for Monday and Lee picked up the phone and said she was with a customer. She knows who I am and usually she'll look at their appointment book to see if it was available. She said she would call be back but never did! smh Now this going to day 2 already still no call. I even gave her my name and phone number. smh!! I always end up giving them a $10 to $20 tip every time. I've written nail salon reviews before, but baybee this salon's work is unmatched. The salon owner, Lee, matriarch of the establishment is very kind and knowledgeable. She brought my nails who had damage from the gym (don't ask) back to life and explained the causation and even gave me an ointment to use, which I think has also strengthened my nails! Prices are on par and I'm thankful that A Q Nails is convenient for me and I can always get an appointment when desired. Only thing I wish they had was online booking, but I understand that may cost extra $$, so if not having online scheduling keeps the pices low, I can do without! read more

This salon is by far THE BEST! My daughter and I LOVE this place and the nail technicians that work here! It's always clean; the techs are friendly; the music is soothing; and the pedicure chairs are comfortable. I love Tina, who does my nails and feet...her attention to detail is wonderful and I am extremely happy with the work she does. My daughter loves Tim and the attention to detail he gives her and her nails. His nail art, as you can see below, is the best I have ever seen. He always goes above and beyond for her as he does for all of his clients. AQ nails recently renovated their shop. It's very cute and bright now. I like the new look a lot. I'm really bad at getting my nails done (I'm the type that waits until my nails grow out super long) so i usually go monthly. Susan is still my go to person for my nails. She's been doing my nails for years now ever since she took over the shop. I recently went in and got the SNS powder nails in white with a coffin shape (my favorite). My experience at AQ nails was very underwhelming. I selected this salon because it is close to my home. I was looking for a specific design/ style. When I called the woman I spoke with said they did do that style (chrome nails). I showed the woman working on my nails a picture as an example and she said she could deliver. The product I received looks nothing's like what I wanted. On top of the skill set being under par there are bumps and dents in the acrylic and even pieces of lint stuck in the gel polish. I have been going to AQ nails since I moved to Manassas and after several disappointing visits, the worst being today, I will not be going back. I unfortunately do not know the name of the nail tech who did my nails today but I had the worst experience with her. I was the only customer in the shop and it isnt hard to see why. She did not put any care into my nails, used way too much liquid when putting the acrylic on my nails which caused the acrylic to run everywhere all over my fingers. I'm still picking acrylic off of my skin. Then when filing my nails, she filed more skin than nail. She acknowledged and apologized that she was hurting me, but I still left with 4 of my fingers bleeding. I looked down and there was blood on the nail file. Completely unacceptable. Not to mention she proceeded to use nail polish remover on the wounds. At the end of my visit she nickeled and dimed me for everything shortening my nails down and repairs. Technicians don't typically assess those fees, although I understood they can, however given the state of my hands after she was through with them and the fact that I was a repeat customer I felt she could have waived out of courtesy. Nonetheless for the first time in my life I did not tip. I went to this nail shop out of convenience and proximity but I will travel further and spend more to have a more enjoyable experience and quality nails. read more

If I were able to give no stars I would! I walked in thinking "oh what a cute shop"! They seemed very friendly when I arrived but when I said I wanted nail removal the attitude changed. They asked three times if I wanted a new set and I told them no ad I wanted to give them a break. I feel if I walk into a place that specializes in nails I should not have to tell them how to take acrylics off. She asked if she could cut them down I said it was ok but wanted to keep my length for my real nail which wasn't much but length for me cause my nails don't grow without the acrylic on them. She cut them down and starts shoving a tip and then her fingernail in trying to separate my nail and the acrylic... I have NEVER seen this done in the 5 years I've had acrylics! I asked her to please file them down to thin the acrylic down and get the gel off and then try and get them with the tip.. she literally filed the polish off and went back to her old ways and called some other lady over and had her start taking my right hand nails off in which she ripped my middle fingers nail almost in half! The solution to that? Glue! If you hadn't been rough that wouldn't have happened and I said 4 times that they were being rough. I have been here twice. The first time I got a full set and it was horrible quality, my nails had bubbles and streaks, they were also shaped wrong and crooked which I let her know and she ignored me. The second time I came in for a manicure, the towel and the tools were full of cuticles and nails from a previous customer and I asked her to change them, she said okay and she just flipped the towel and knocked the tools on the table to take the nails out then told me to sit down. I only asked for shellac and I was there over 2 hours. She also kept complaining how small my nails are and they are a pain to paint. I've never had a complaint before and they are normal. Very weird. When she was done my nails were a mess and missed spots and it peeled off after 2-3 days. Also, this costs 30 dollars she went to run my card and says 10 dollar tip? I found this place on a fluke a couple of weeks ago. I went in on a whim and did not have to wait (early morning on a weekday). Meagan was there and I discussed my concerns with her about the poor service I have gotten from the other nail salons in the area. I've tried many different ones including Sassy Nails, Eden Nails, Anns Nails, Nail Salon & Spa, Divine Nail, and one in Centreville that I can't remember. I've even went to nail salons in Fredericksburg, but none of the nails met my standards. I wanted someone who was artistic but could also do a great job on my nails (filing, etc.) without having to worry about my nails lifting. The other salons either lifted or their artistic designs lacked creativity. Most places could do a french manicure, but I find those nails to be boring for me. Meagan asked me to give her a shot and I did. I am so glad I did. She said she has over 20 years of experience. I have to tell you that I got so many compliments off of the nails she did for me. I wish I had saved a picture of the first set of nails she did. I absolutely love the care and patience she uses when filing and filling my nails. Give her a call. You won't be sorry! Edited 7/26/2016 - Unfortunately, I had some issues on my next visit. I found that my nails were full of fungus, the acrylic was sloppily applied. I had gone in and she seemed distracted. So, after yrs of not using this salon I decided to try it again last weekend. Big mistake! I got a fill and a basic pedi, with the 5$ upcharge for the razor to be used. Well, the my nails don't even look like they've been filled, went back in Tuesday hoping they'd fix the issue, only to have them start screaming in their language, and put nail glue on my loose nails!
