Alice surprises me with her creativity every time. This salon is especially good for making customers feel comfortable. I sit next to other customers who love their technicians. They honor your time based on what you choose in their booking app. love Not sure why YELP reviews aren't higher. Called a week ahead and made an appointment for mani/pedi with someone specific based off their reviews / social media. Showed up to find they did not put me down on the schedule at all so I settled for just a pedi. Pedicure I got was also not impressive at all. I asked for unicorn chrome which they charged me an additional $15 for (insane to charge $15 for that I get it for free at every other salon I go to). You can see in my pic that they charged me an additional $15 for basically nothing. Very disappointed in the service and quality. read more

They were very nice & accommodating, but the lady that did my feet (older woman) did not do a good job. I kinda wish I did my own feet, because I would at *least* file down my toe nails. In addition to not filing or getting rid of callus skin or cuticles properly, my nail polish chipped within a day. I won't be coming back. read more

My daughter took me here and we got acrylic nails in november. They were awesome. I have been going there for a few months now. I had to get a fresh set of acrylics on, and it went smoothly. For the person who had their acrylics taken off and was bloody---if it hurts, let them know. There are other ways they can take them off. Mine didn't hurt at all and you do need them to put a fresh set on every once in a while! read more

I did an acrylic nails removal on both my hands at this place. The process is very painful. After they are done, my fingers have bloody wounds and other scratch marks. This place still has the audacity to charge me after the painful process and left me with bloody fingers. I consent to this place to touch my hands but I didn't consent to butcher my hands. The staff did not bother to clean the wound first, just straight up dump some white powder over the wound. Will not visit again and encourage all of you to avoid this place. read more

Love this place I only see Nina is very gentle and careful with my toes and hands as I am diabetic. She takes her time removing the dead skins and ingrowns ( big toes) and makes sure I do not bleed. I only go to her !!! She only works on certain days and I make sure I call a week and a half to make my appointment to make sure I have a spot. read more

So sad... I showed the nail tech what I wanted and she said okay. She then completely managed my nails and nail beds. She filed my nails down sooooo small that they look like little CIrcle M&Ms. For the record, I have great nail beds and my nails are not this short or circular. Who would want nails like this? The inspiration picture could have easily been the shape of my nails, but instead I got small circle nails. I said "ouch" almost a dozen times because of filing MY SKIN on the sides of my nails. Very very sad that these are the nails that I'll be celebrating the holidays with.... For the record, the sides of my fingers hurt due to how much of the nail she filed off. read more

Lavie Nails and Spa - She left a gap between the dip and my cuticle that I pointed out and she remedied with glitter polish - Nail Salons Near Me - Gainesville, Virginia

I went there today and had a nail appointment at 2pm. I had three different nailist. Asked for chrome red or a silver red sparkle color. I walked out after 1 hour and forty minutes with a brown color and sparkle. Wasn't even able to complete the nail appointment because I had a work meeting to go to. Very bad experience, I don't normally complain but I work hard for my money and want good service. I will not be going back here. read more

I've been visiting this nail spa for a little over three years and have always had a very positive experience--good nail techs, not overly expensive, never have to wait too long. I took my 4 year old daughter yesterday for the first time to get her nails done and not only did her nails turn out exactly how she hoped (Christmas and sparkly!), several employees went out of their way to talk to her and make her feel special. Thank you so, so much. I plan to continue to be a customer for a long time. read more

I'm surprised at the amount of positive reviews. I've been here twice (only because I gave them the benefit of doubt the first time, and event brought my daughter, and I can assure you that their manicures are of terrible quality. I had to walk my manicurist through how to properly drill down my nails to avoid a thick nail bed. Both women beside me commented on how simple my request was, and how perplexing it was that she didn't understand. I got dip powder and they look like dinosaur toes. They also started to crack after just 4 days, whereas they always last me 3+ weeks (when done elsewhere). Also very overpriced. Super disappointing. This place is not worth visiting at all. read more

I absolutely love this place. I have been going there for 2 1/2 years. Nina takes care of me, she does my nails she does my pedicure. I feel like I'm in heaven while I'm in Spa. Is my home away from home. Everyone is professional the service is exceptional, the owner Heidi is welcoming, she has Covid protocols in place and everything is cleaned after each client, and the spa is extremely clean. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants their nails done professionally with designs or just a manicure, or have a relaxing pedicure. They also do eyebrows and facials and massages. I have Experienced many male clients in the spa enjoying the pedicures and the massaging chairs, as well as manicures and enjoying hand massages! Below is a picture of my most recent creation by Nina. read more

My nails were beautiful before walking into LaVie Nails even though they needed a fill. The owner did my nails. They looked like doggy claws. See fir yourself! The person who does my nails at another shop in manassas- jessy's was sick, but I needed a fill after 3 weeks. So I called LaVie- Heidi answered, I went, and here is the outcome. Claws! The staff is friendly and their services are top of the line. Very reasonable prices too. I love this place.

Alas, the search for my new nail spot is still on. I was disappointed after reading great reviews in a local FB group and having the experience I did. Sure, the staff was pleasurable, the location was clean and I do like the "basic" pedicure perks. Unfortunately, That doesn't live on my nails for the next few weeks. Background: My nails grow out fairly fast but I like them short. So, you have a lot to work with initially, but once you cut it's done. I am a regular dip nail person and I assume (you know what they say about assuming) that the shape "rounded oval" is not too difficult to get; I would go as far to say a safe option. My experience went south after the nails were cut and were already being shaped. I noticed my middle fingers were both being shaped pointed out (yes, the bon qui qui skit went straight to mind) and my fingers, at least these ones are NOT crooked. I think it had to do with the tech sitting in the middle and filing away from her. Anyway, I bring this up to the tech and she says that my fingers go out and she is following that line. I tell the tech I have never had that issue with those fingers before (sometimes the pointers get this issue) but that the technique used to shape the nails makes it look like my two fingers are crooked. She didn't understand and even went to file the same side that was the issue. I say no it needs to be the other side. Then someone who must be more seasoned came over and they discussed different techniques and even asked if she was doing the almond shape. The tech said yes to the shape and applied the techniques. The nails wound up straight, but much shorter than I wanted and much more narrow on certain nails because 70% were almond, 20% were rounded and 10% were misc. At this point, it is what it is. I should just go with the square oval shape which is more safe but they break easier. I am frustrated because I went in with long nails that were a great canvas and ended up with different shaped nails that make my fingers look stumpy. I don't know if other services are better so if you want to shoot your shot, have at it. Many people came in for appointments with Emma, so maybe try her. read more

Went here after my dentist appointment next door, got here at 10 am on Friday and there were already 3 other patrons there. I was able to sit down very quickly and only waited for maybe a few minutes for the technician. Emma did my nails and she did a wonderful job! I decided to splurge and had the deluxe pedicure and I think it was well worth the $50 price tag. The time that Emma spent working on my feet / legs was about 75 minutes. I really enjoyed the scrub and the paraffin wax. The hot stones were a nice touch but the massage Emma gave to my legs and feet was everything I didn't know I needed. Will definitely come back again and ask for Emma. I typically stick with white for my toes and don't do designs but she layered the nail polish well so that it wasn't too cakey and she was meticulous with her clean up. read more

Went because of the good review. Lady who did my acrylic was very pleasant and nice. But lady who did my sister's manicure had bit of attitude and obviously did not want to do it. The shop is not huge but not teeny tiny, very clean and professional looking. Lots of people there when I went on a Saturday afternoon with no appointment and I was put in a chair right away. The young lady I had was very gentle on my nails which I loved because I'm super sensitive. A bit pricey but the area it's in is more upscale so that's to be expected but they did a great job. I took my nieces (4 and 5 years old) to get their first manicure & pedicure here before school starts and was SO impressed! The salon is clean and they have lots of technicians - we did a walk-in on a Thursday afternoon with no issues. The two ladies who helped them were so nice and great with them. They have the cutest oversized stuffed animals to go in the pedicure chair so that the girls could have their feet reach the water, but still sit comfortably. My nieces had a blast! The pedicure and manicure were so nice and they loved every second. I really appreciate how nice the ladies were and the level of service they gave us. Their nails came out great and I will definitely be back in the future! I would suggest this place to anyone, but especially if you're looking for a spot to take young children for a mani or pedi! The price can't be beat either - it was $50 total for 2 manicures and 2 pedicures for the girls. Thanks so much for making their day special! read more

Awful pedicure. Really, just bad. I should've went to my usual place, but I noticed the good reviews and it is much closer to my home. Unfortunately, it wasn't worth it. A spa pedicure is $36 vs a regular $26 pedicure and as far as I can tell, the only difference is a leg scrub, cooling mask and hot towels. Not worth $10 to me, but maybe to someone else. Both come with parafin wax, but she coated my feet with lotion before she dipped me in wax, so really what could it possibly take off anyway? The woman who was doing my toes didn't speak English and basically blamed my short toe nails for her inability to paint them properly. After drying them, I realized how bad they looked, so before I paid, I asked them to be fixed. Her solution was to put polish remover on her fingers, rub the top coat off and then add yet another thick layer of color over the bad paint job. Then she kept attempting to clean her excess off with her thumb nail, which 1- that hurt and 2- made the polish job worse. She wound up having to take all the polish off and repaint again. I asked her to clean the excess off with a brush and acetone, which she was apparently unable to do, so the gentleman doing someone else's pedicure next to me completed for me. Maybe I just got stuck with the bad Apple, but I'm not taking any chances again. It was definitely not worth the $40! read more
